Theme- A Countdown to Christmas and Kitty's birthday
Time Period: A Flashback
Event: Thanksgiving 2009
Scene: The Dining Room
John (eating his dinner): It feels weird to eat Thanksgiving dinner without mom
Kyle: Your mom is on mandatory bedrest at the moment
Cameron (to John): What does it mean to be on mandatory bedrest?
John: Mom's pregnancy has been very difficult. Besides, Mom is super close to her due date. The doctor has put her on mandatory bedrest until she delivers.
Cameron: I thank you for explaining
John: No problem
Derek: Sarah's stomach is enormous. Are you sure she is not carrying twins?
Kyle: I am sure Sarah is not carrying twins. The doctor has said we are having just only one baby. Our baby girl is due in December.
Derek: I am looking forward to meeting my neice
Kyle (heading upstairs with a plate for Sarah): I am going to check on Sarah
Scene: Sarah and Kyle's bedroom
Action: Sarah is on mandatory bedrest and watching Hallmark Christmas Movies
Sarah (choked up): These Hallmark Christmas Movies are making me emotional. I blame it on my pregnancy hormones.
Kyle (giving the plate to Sarah): Hello, love. I made this plate for you. Please eat up for Kitty and yourself.
Sarah (eating her food): Thanks. I am so hungry.
Kyle: You are welcome. By this time next year, Kitty will join us in person for Thanksgiving Dinner.
Sarah (rubbing her stomach): I am excited and yet anxious about giving birth next month.
Kyle: You brought John into this world. Kitty will not take you away from me.
Sarah: What if something goes wrong?
Kyle: You are in your eighth month of pregnancy. The time for the birth hasn't come yet. Let's focus on the positive and take it step by step.
Sarah (suddenly feels uncomfortable): OUCH
Kyle (worried): What is the matter? Is it that time?
Sarah (placing Kyle's hand on her stomach): Kitty just kicked and it was very painful
Kyle: Is it normal for a baby to kick that hard?
Sarah: It is nothing of great concern
Kyle: I thank you for carrying our baby
Sarah: I thank you for giving her to me
Kyle (kissing Sarah): I love you
Sarah (smiling): I love you too
(And then the flashback ends)
Time Period: A Flashback
Date: 12-20-2009
Place: A Hospital Delivery Room
Event: Kitty's birth
Sarah (emotional and tirelessly pushing through contractions): GRR..AHA..AHA
Kyle (squeezing Sarah's hand): You can do this
Sarah (panicky): Why isn't the baby coming out? Is she stuck inside my body?
Kyle: I have been thinking the same thing
A Nurse (shifting the fetal heartbeat monitor on Sarah's stomach): The baby's heartbeat is in good condition. Giving birth takes time. You are almost to the crowning stage. Just breathe and relax.
Sarah (panting): Okay
Kyle (looking down at Sarah's private parts): The baby is right there at your opening
Sarah (resuming pushing): AHA...AHA..AHA
Kyle (acknowledging the crowning baby): Hello, my precious Christmas baby
Sarah (spreading out her legs wider): AHA...AHA...AHA
The Doctor (putting towel on Sarah's opening): You are bleeding and tearing. I need light pushes from you.
Sarah (pushing lightly with her contractions): Hummm...
Kyle: There you go, Sarah. That's a good strong push.
Sarah (losing her strength): I am exhausted. This baby is super big. Is the birthing process over yet?
A Nurse (applying pressure on Sarah's stomach): Please hold on. Your ordeal is almost over. The doctor is trying to get the baby's shoulders out. The baby is experiencing Shoulder Dystocia. This means her shoulders are stuck in the birth canal.
(With the support of Kyle and her medical team, Sarah delivers Kitty who weighs nine pounds at birth. The Countdown to Kitty's birth and Christmas starts over again eleven ongoing twelve years later on December 7, 2021).

Derek (choked up): I am sorry for snapping at you. This year, 2021 has been hard for me. I have experienced many losses this year. My ptsd is getting worse. All I want is no more pain for the next twenty three or twenty eight days that are left in this year.
John (putting his arm around Derek): I believe there are twenty three days left in this year. How may I help you?
Derek: I could use some hope about right now. Is there any good that can come out of 2021?
John: Kitty will celebrate her twelfth birthday on December 20th. 2021 has been hard, but we can't forget about her birthday. She is our little Christmas miracle.

John: The machine has a name. Her name is Cameron.
Derek: How can you give it a name when it is not fully human?
John: I miss your soft sensitive side
Derek: What soft sensitive side?
John: You had experienced a personal crisis and I helped you
Derek (lying): I have never felt depressed. I don't remember those dark times.
John: Okay, whatever

Derek (yelling at John): Get out of my way
John (protecting Cameron): I will not allow you to hurt Cameron
Derek: I must kill it before it harms you
John: Cameron will never hurt me
Derek (to Kyle): The machine hit me
Kyle: Why?
Derek: It is pure evil
John (speaking on Cameron's behalf): She didn't hit you.
Derek: How long are you going to defend it?
John: How long are you going to call Cameron an it?
James (getting out of his car): How long are you people going to create chaos?
Derek: I blame it all on the machine
James: Cameron is weird, but she is not evil
