And now chapter 7 is done, with only 8 to go. Just to let everyone know the story will have few changes on the next world. When first starting this I had no real idea what to do for the middle section. I had the characters in mind and where the story was going to begin to end. But now I have some thing figure out. For the next world with Crash Bandicoot series, this world will have a double feature. Crash Bandicoot and Spyro the Dragon will team up with the Committee and Straw Hats pirates as they now must face Crash and Spyro's worst villains team up for the first time.
Consider the next world a special case as you get to see a double feature crossover. The Metal Army will make a appearance on those two worlds as well. Afterwards one more world before they head to traverse town to meet another group. So stay tune and see what happens next as we continue the adventures on Ape Escape.
P.S. For any Final Fantasy fans, I want to add more of them to this story if I can. Currently after some research, I have found that the Final Fantasy series they used for the characters are from FFIII, FFVII, FFVIII, FFIX, FFX, and FFX-2. For the future I do plan on using the characters remade in Kingdom Hearts into the story and later add the characters they didn't add from the series. If anyone wants to request any Final Fantasy games even spin-offs to add. I will do the best I can, if it's in my knowledge or have researched them before/after, then they will be added as well.
Fun Fact, Final Fantasy III character is actually the Moogles we used in the KH games for shopping items and stuff. They even made their first game appearance in Final Fantasy III from then on to other Final Fantasy games.
Guest Reviews: Zoro will have a keyblade, it just won't be his own. Since as a character he tends to rely more on strength, the keyblade that should be his can't be called upon because of how his desire for strength can make it seemed he's leaning towards darkness. But after the second story Galaxy Pirates 2 he'll earn his own keyblade. The one's he'll be using are the worldly keyblade since he has potential at this point. So for every world he travels his third sword will appear in his more dire need or is chosen depending on the keyblade world. As for the Aerith part, I think there was some confusion when I first started, but I will fix that soon.

Chapter 7: City of Apes 3 - Duel of the Sword
While everyone else in the city is busy dealing with the monkey invasion. Zoro, Leon, Cloud, and Auron had one hand ready to draw their swords in case this gets bad, the two individuals stood their ground waiting for any response or attacks from Zoro and the others to attack.
"Allow me to introduce ourselves, my name is Smoke Screen and this is my partner Violet Knight." He announce to the swordsmen.
"We are two of the Freakish Shadow 10, we have business with this world and would appreciate that you don't interfere with our plans. If you intend on visiting this world, you must explain yourselves for this visit, if not we'll use force." As Smoke Screen told them summoning heartless at their beck and call. These two types are different as one heartless called Mist Pop are small heartless in a ball with smoke coming out of their bodies, they have two yellow eyes and the heartless symbol on top their forehead. The other is called Violet Rose, with blend colors of purple and pink armor. Some of their black skin is shown with their heartless symbol on the chest. This alerted the Swordsmen that they can command heartless at will, which meant trouble is bound to happen.
Out of all the Freakish Shadow 10 these two are considered the strongest fighters on their team. While strong, they only serve their leader's bidding as they rather have someone more confident in command then themselves. Both sides stood still as they are waiting for the other to make their move.
"I'm assuming you'll just consume this world and let it fall to darkness?" Leon asked already knowing the answer.
"And if we say yes." Without warning, Smoke Screen had for some reason jump out of the way from Zoro's attack. His heartless instinct reacted like those who face Keyblade Wielders before him. The other three swordsmen are surprise by Zoro's quickness to battle. The fact he somehow flash by them without warning is impressive itself, "Sorry, I just can't look away from people who plan on killing others for monsters." Zoro stated with a heated glare, understanding what those heartless do to people, Zoro plans on fighting them no matter what their intention knowing he can prevent some people from dying. Normally he wouldn't pick every fight, only when he's face with a challenge being with the committee he wants to help them like their captain and crew.
"Attack!" as Violet Knight gave the command, this force Zoro, Auron, Leon, and Cloud engage in their duel with the heartless. As the fight started, the Violet Roses went on the offense as they charge Auron who then proceed to block their blades which looks light pink, then more appeared as the violet Rose seems to have some ability to wield not 1 or 2, but 10 blades. 8 of them floating close to the wielder as the other heartless team up to attack. Seeing this Auron slammed his sword causing an wind effect which blasted the other away enough for him to quickly strike them down one by one. While he may not be a young as he used to be, Auron is the most experiences and skilled of the three swordsman.
Leon made quick work with these new heartless, as his experience with heartless despite being entirely new ones. The Violet Rose are then backup by Mist Pop who explode into a mist like fog, one of them is enough to cloud a single person's vision, more then enough to cover the battlefield. Without hesitation, Leon used his strongest fire magic to clear the fog by hitting the ground with great flames. This cause the Mist Pop to form into orbs once more, which then are destroyed by Leon who slash them at their weaken state. The Violet Rose charge again, only for Leon to make quick work like the others have done.
Zoro manage to keep up with the other swordsmen of this group, using his two sword style which felt uncomfortable since he's used to three swords. But it was also prefect timing to try out his new moves since he'll be using two swords in the meantime.
Nitoryu: Kitsune
This style had a chain reaction as he would finish off multiple enemies. The first strike came after he jump back from the right back, then in quick he charge striking the first heartless, then the second one another direction, and kept on doing it at it created a 8 pointed star if you look above the battlefield. Zoro did it so fast that it created flames on the ground behind him once he finished off the heartless.
Cloud easily wipe the floor with the heartless as one by one they are destroyed by his buster sword. Some of the heartless tried to surprise attack him through the mist pops, but are no good. One of the Mist Pops soon took on humanoid form which then Cloud's instincts kick in making him dodge and sometimes strike them. Only to realize his own attacks go right through them, this meant he can't harm them with normal attacks. Cloud then channeled his magical energy within him as he unleashed his attack dashing around the field in close range.
The four of them combine are powerful enough to overwhelm the heartless and those that try to support them. Violet Knight and Smoke Screen could not believe how strong these four swordsmen are compared to the inhabitants of this world. This could be a problem in the future if they have to face them later on. After they finished off the heartless Zoro, Cloud, Leon, and Auron stood side by side ready for the two enemies who use the heartless for dark intention.
"Looks like your heartless are no good." Leon stated knowing those two won't go down that easy.
"Don't think we will be beaten so easily by the likes of you. Those heartless may have been weaker then yourselves, but our brethren will be average once we claim your hearts." Hearing this they didn't understand what they meant, these two can't be heartless right? After all heartless rely on pure instinct and hunger for hearts, there is no way they have higher intelligence. By now the six of them are waiting for the other to make their move, steadying their opponents slowly holding their swords as they plan their next attack or what strategy they will do next.
Leon and Auron vs Violet Knight R1
In an instant, Leon and Auron charge at Violet Knight as their swords clashed. They then jump back with Violet Knight moving in quick speed trying to cut them down, Leon and Auron had to block her swords. Somehow She was able to fight both of them at the same time, The three back off as Leon and Auron channeled their magic attacks towards Violet Knight, Auron started by blasting gust of wind from underneath until she was flung upward. Leon then shot at least 5 fireballs at her each one exploding making it bigger, once that was done. She appeared with her armor brushing off the dust flying towards them with falling speed. Not taking any chances, Leon back off as he prepared himself for her next move.
Auron came in as soon as Violet Knight slammed the ground, but is block another sword that is floating. Auron moved back from another strike as all three swords are floating at the same time, Alarmed by this he moved back and block the swords from trying to strike him down. Leon found an opening tried to finish her off, but is grab barehanded unable to move his sword away. Shock by this Leon tried to move only for her to punch a few times and kick him off. She then grab his sword and prepared to fight him with his own sword.
Zoro and Cloud vs Smoke Screen R1
Zoro and Cloud join to fight Smoke Screen who is annoying for the both of them. As they swing their swords, Smoke Screen isn't too phased by their psychical attacks. In fact he seemed bored by their attempts to hurt him, at the same time it appeared Smoke Screen wanted to see what they have that can fight against him, as if he's testing their skills. This annoyed them at how he isn't taking them seriously, also the fact these two are not know for magical properties. For Zoro he's not used to the magical terms, but for Cloud is a different story since he prefers psychical fights over magical attacks.
"It seems you two can't used magic properly, relying heavily on psychical force instead of other methods." Saying this Smoke Screen then burst into a fog that covered the field. Zoro and Cloud kept each other back to back making sure they are not caught by surprise. As they waited Smoke Screen appeared in different places almost as if he was in more then one place.
"Looks like he can blend with this smoke, not that surprising since he is smoke." Cloud said.
"No, He's not blending with the smoke, he is smoke." Zoro then used his two swords and used his attack move Nitoryu: 72 Pound Ho. This attack had blasted an hole through the smoke. Taking this advantage, Zoro charge right through but is stop by Smoke Screen who grab him by the throat as Zoro tried to force him off. Cloud then used small bits of his magic to enhance him enough for striking Smoke Screen, this in turn shock him releasing Zoro as the two quickly stood up.
"I suppose that was your only plan?" Cloud bluntly asked.
"Ah, I hope to fight him outside of this fog, but it appears he's keeping us here." Zoro said now breathing normally.
"I can see you two being a threat." Smoke Screen said through this fog, "The fact that your friend had no magical abilities, but is able to harm me is impressive. And you with the two swords is able to clear my smoke with ease. Perhaps I should take this seriously, now I know what I'm dealing with." Said that Smoke Screen replicated himself into dozen or more inside this fog. The two kept themselves calm and ready, but are also sweating knowing this will not be an easy fight.
Auron vs Violet's Swords
Auron is showing some fatigue blocking all of these swords at once. His entire body is being cut left and right, but is able to hold himself despite using one hand for his sword style. Some of his wind magic also help blasting them away. There was times he had to move away from these things in order to give himself small breathing room, then rinse and repeat again. So far he is unable to figure out how to deal with these floating swords as they came all round him for barely 5 minutes now. What didn't help is the location as many tree branches made things hard for swinging his sword.
"I can't fight like this forever, and I have to help Leon get his sword back. But how is the question, from the way these three swords are moving, they somehow have small consciousness to function without their wielder. She's not focus on me, but is able to focus all her attention on others without guiding her swords. I was hoping to save this special move for later, but it appears I have lost my edge since those days, I better make this quick." Auron thought.
Using what magic he has for his aero spell, Auron then activate his limit mode, where he blaze through them quickly as the swords could not keep up with this sort of power being brought by Auron. This how his new strategy is working, Auron used his finishing move to create a whirlwind that scattered the swords planting them deep in the tree trunks. Now able to take a breather, Auron tries to locate Leon who is no doubt dealing with that crazy swordswoman who is giving him a hard time.
A/N: I wasn't too sure about his special moves for Auron, but I thought to use his move from Kingdom Hearts with Sora combo attack. After this chapter I intend to look up their abilities and skill set to better understanding how they fight along with the other Final Fantasy characters added later on. Further note I had added few different fighting styles to the Final Fantasy characters just to make things interesting.
Zoro and Cloud vs Smoke Screen R2
Cloud and Zoro are having some hard time dealing with this enemy who intents to use his smoke powers to avoid their strikes. Cloud and Zoro's body are full of cut marks that are not too deep, but enough to make anyone feel it's sting. Sometime Zoro would grind his teeth at his own frustration and his new injures that appear every now and then.
"This is ridiculous, he's using this fog to attack us. We need a way to hit him hard and fast." Cloud said with harden expression.
"Yeah, but he intends to fight us through his powers. But I can tell he does have some swordsmanship, if he fought us without this fog we can end this quickly." Zoro stated observing how this individual fighting style, he can tell that Smoke Screen has some form of skill, but is average at best. Judging by how he strikes them using surprise attack, stealth, or cheap shots, it's no different from certain people he has face before. But when he was caught off guard, Smoke Screen had been blocking and parrying his and Cloud's sword strikes.
"Your right, although I have seconds thoughts on him since he decides to hid in this mist." Cloud said agreeing with Zoro.
"Don't tell me your that honorable types, in fighting their is no such thing has fair play or one on one fight. This is war, to win them you must do whatever it takes to win no matter the cost."
Smoke Screen spoke through the fog as his replicated self appeared in different place surrounding them. Cloud and Zoro glared at their opponent who is hiding by his power.
"What about the people of this world, they have nothing to do with this battle." Cloud shouted at Smoke Screen.
"You call them people, to us they are the real monsters. Using those blasted powers of light to shun us from your realm, we have as much right as you lot who glorify yourself in this so called light. Those who summon us are much more monstrous then those fairy tales you lie to your children. Falsifying yourselves as heroes when you destroy us."
The two didn't know what he is talking about, but they stayed focus trying not to distract themselves from this madness, "If we're suppose to be monsters, then why attack us on sight. You summoned those heartless, that makes you no different from us?" Zoro argued only to hear laughter from this Fog.
"You have no idea what is happening, do you? I expect nothing less from beings such as yourselves. After all, you brought us to your realms because of your greed and lust for power. We simply serve the greater power since he/she has proven themselves strong in darkness. But now we can take back our lives, and we can control our destiny. No longer are contain by your shackle, now we shall take revenge in this realm of light. That fool Specter will lead us to worlds unable to stop our growing intelligence and POWER! And we will start with this world, consume by their very desires, then the whole galaxy shall feel our wrath."
Both of their eyes are shaded either by shadows or their hair, they both now understand if they intend to stop these guys. They will have to finish them here and now, slowly turn their heads to see each other eye to eye. They understood they have to give their all to stop them.
"Zoro, that attack you did before, what was is called again?" Cloud asked.
"72 Pound Ho." Zoro replied, having enough Smoke Screen charge with his copies. Only for the copies to vanish with the fog, Cloud had enough of this and unleashed some lightning magic which he then gave some of his magical power to Zoro not used to magic, but is able to endure for this moment. The two then made quick work with Smoke Screen's copies leaving none left. Then copying Zoro, they plan on combo attacking out of this fog and end this fight.

216 Pound Ho!
In display of power and will, both Zoro and Cloud strung in some V shape slash attack that blow a hole through the Fog greater then before. This also had effected Smoke Screen who shouted in shocking pain from their attack that somehow blasted through his defenses. Jumping through, the two turn to face the fog.
"Ready for high charge attack?" Cloud asked about to offer some of his magic, he may not be able to use magic properly, but knows how to give some of his power to others.
"I'm always ready." Using the same enhance magic he used earlier, Zoro can feel it course through his veins. Both went super speed with Zoro charging from the ground while Cloud taking the skies as the two slash at the fog with everything they had in their arsenal. Smoke Screen felt this pain once more realizing they have gotten stronger somehow. Changing form into humanoid he block their sword strikes and jump back just as they did with their enhance magic slowly dying out. Now facing Smoke Screen in his true form, the two prepared themselves making sure he doesn't have anymore tricks up his sleeve.
"Once more I had underestimated you, what world do you two come from to gain such power even from middle of fights?" Smoke curiously asked.
"We won't tell you, because when we're finish here you won't harm anyone including this world." Zoro declared.
"We'll put a stop to Specter and your plans here and now, so prepare yourself." Cloud also declared.
Leon vs Violet Knight
With Leon he had to rely on his wits and skill to avoid his own sword strikes. Violet Knight had proven to be some adversary that is keeping on his toes, plus stealing his sword in such quick time means he hasn't face a decent challenge for sometime. When they return to their world, Leon swore he'll explore the worlds and some personal training for himself. For now he'll have to work with what he has at the moment. When Violet Knight tried to swing from above him, Leon jump back then used his powerful fire spell to blast at her, predicting she will block Leon close to distance and tried to grab his sword again. Violet knew this would happen, dropping the sword Violet used her hand to hand combat punching him from his stomach, face, and right shoulder arm where he felt something crack making his right arm slump forcing himself away from her into hiding. Violet saw where he went, but had to defend herself as he threw a quick fireball to distract her long enough to hide with the trees.
"You seemed to be the smart one among this group, that old one with his red coat appears more of an experience. The blonde hair individual is the silent but deadly type, however your two sword wielding friend seemed eager to fight. He doesn't also belong with your group, he is a fresh beginner or some other worlder just like you." Violet kept on taunting as Leon hid knowing she's at the advantage over him. Coming up with a plan, Leon moved away from his hiding spot carefully making sure she doesn't spot him moving.
As Violet knight tried to figure out where he's hiding, she admired his sword or at least took fancy to different sword each swordsman carries. In her heartless days without her intelligence, she had small memories of being a swordswoman. Violet had to work her way up to prove she is good as any man that was on the planet, how childish those days were before becoming a heartless. Now she will kill every swordsman and take their weapons to try out and become a true swordswoman by defeating every swordsman in all worlds. As she look around she notice a fire had been place behind her, curious she moved towards the burning tree only to be hit by some fire spell that came from behind. Leon then with regret threw more fire spells surrounding her on all sides.
Seeing what he plans on doing, Violet used her powers that she hasn't used yet summons more swords then her average. From the leaves turning into swords creating about 100 swords floating in the air. Then with great but quick swing unleashed aero magic towards the fire, this knock Leon out of hiding into the opening. Slowly Leon got up realize he overplayed his own strength, figuring this was one of those opponents he could have easily taken out. Yet despite this, he would remain strong and stand all to the bitter end.
Violet slowly walk towards his eye sight as her sway her hips, but then face him with stern glare almost holding restrain to an chained tiger wanting their prey, "I like a strong warrior always fighting to their last breath. It makes this so much more enjoyable to see your powerless, weaken state as I kill them where they stood. Some would say real men have stood tall when they die, why don't we find out if that is what true men are about." With a wave from her hand, she gave a silent command as all swords pointed at Leon then in quick motion charge in speed that is impossible to dodge. At the last second someone cast an aero spell, and quickly shoved Violet enough to loosen her grip of Leon's Gunblade. Seeing this Leon grab his sword once more now standing beside Auron who look as worn out as he is too.
"What took you so long?" Leon asked keeping his cool, only moments ago he was grinding his teeth and sweat at his last moments.
"I had to find you first, that fire you started gave me some hints to your location." Auron said. Taking that as his answer, Leon face Violet once more as she glared in anger at the two for their resistance.
"At first, I was only going to kill you two quickly as warriors of the sword. But now, I will slowly and enjoy your painful deaths, and bury you under the very grounds you call Earth!" With no more to say, Violet wave her hand towards the two as they had to prepare themselves for her attacks.
Zoro and Cloud vs Smoke Screen R3
Fighting him as some fog is one thing, but fighting him in humanoid form with his powers is another. This they learn quickly realizing that the true battle had just began. The fact Smoke Screen can be cut and touch at the same time is also disturbing. When both Zoro and Cloud tried to cut him at the same time, Smoke Screen allow their attacks through then grab them while his body is being stabbed. Now both Zoro and Cloud are being more careful as Smoke Screen obviously had more then one trick up his sleeve.
"This is getting us nowhere, you have some magic left?" Zoro quietly asked while keeping an eye on Smoke Screen.
"Even if I did, it won't be enough. Leon would be better at this, even Auron with Aero magic, unfortunately all I can do is enhance myself using small thunder magic." Cloud regretfully said, this left them with little to no options as they had to figure out how to beat his abilities. So far there appears no weakness except for magic spells if they knew how. This left them with the "your turn to attack, then our turn to attack" as Smoke Screen had the same problem. Even with his abilities, he began to be more cautious with these two, proving to be resilient to most of his attacks. Now he doesn't want to make too many mistakes as they seemed able to grow stronger when fighting.
"Looks like we are in a stalemate, I can't kill you base on your abilities and strength in fighting. And you can't harm me because my powers prevent you from leaving permanent damage on myself." Smoke Screen stated the obvious that everyone is thinking.
"Apparently so, but we'll still try and stop you guys." Cloud told him, Smoke's reply by lowing his arms and causally walk towards them, but kept his distance few feet apart.
"Maybe so... OR you could join us." Both Zoro and Cloud raised their eyebrow in confusion to his approach, "Let me explain, I know that our ideals are different and we are different in species pre-say. But I like to think with your strength, I considered you two our equals. As one who enjoys fighting, I can't kill someone who would be same as me in strength and power. If you two join us, we can fight stronger opponents, achieve our goals, and if I'm assuming right find your home worlds. Together, we can do great things." Just as he finish, he felt two slashes from Zoro and Cloud who got tired of his talking.
"Sorry, you were saying." Zoro said turning around to face him as Cloud mimic the same.
With a heavy sigh, Smoke Screen turn to them the muttered, "What a disappointment." Once more the they clash as they tried to land blows from one another.
Auron and Leon vs Violet Knight R2
Explosion from impact scattered around as both Auron and Leon had to move around avoiding these swords that somehow floated and charge towards them. As they moved, they tried to come up with some plan to strike her. So far that left them in worse situation then before if they tried to attack Violet. From the way she handled her swords so easily, it was no wonder why she was strong. That amount of power to control and create hundreds of swords is no joke. The two even wondered if the swords she had were just for show or there was specific reason for her appearance.
After sometime, Leon used what fire magic he can cast blasting a chunk of the forest as the swords had been knock back easily. In fact it appears that the swords are burning up into ashes, Auron took note of this and how their was a lot of wind around this area from fighting her. Once they moved somewhere the swords couldn't find them, the two waited for those things to move on not realizing how close they are to them. Sighing in deep breaths, the two are located in the trees where they hid among the bushes.
"We're getting no where with this, as long as those swords are around we can't even approach her in the open." Leon said, annoyed by her abilities at this point.
"There might be a way to defeat her, but it will be risky. From what I can tell, Violet Knight uses more plant and wind magic. But your fire was about to burn those swords to ashes, if we can get close enough we could destroy those swords and take Violet out. However, one of us would have to use some blizzard magic if we stand any chance against her." While the two have different magic abilities, their expertise rely on specific magic since their attacks are accustom to using those abilities.
"I'll handle those swords, you handle the Knight. When we were separated, my fire magic had no effect on her body. My guess is because of her wind magic she can endure those attacks with little to no effort. You probably have better understand of magic since you hang out with Merlin sometimes." Leon joke the last part, making Auron grew a tick mark behind his head and his eyebrow twitching.
"Just wait BOY, you'll reach my age and we shall see who feels old." Auron remark, Leon couldn't help but smile at his expense.
"Whatever you say old man." Leon said before jumping down to fight those swords.
"When this is over, I'm going to kick his arse when this is done." Auron smirk waiting few moments for Leon to distract the swords away from their location then Auron jump down heading towards Violet's location. Down on the ground, Leon took some items out to restore some of his magic and some health for his next move. Once finished he then moved close to the shadows in order to hide from those swords. As he moved, he waited for the swords to be distracted away from his location. Then with concentration aimed at the swords in the air using triple fira spells and average fire spells as they hit their targets getting all the swords focus on him. Quickly Leon focus some of his fire magic on his sword as it now burned with power and heat creating an fire sword.
As the swords charge at him, Leon stab his gunblade creating fire sphere covering him as the swords burned into dust. Some of them stop and flew back, waiting for Leon to stop his defense move. This was only couple seconds, then pulled his gunblade as he then swing his gunblade to quick for the swords to react. From this Leon used his own magic move he created where he swings his sword covered in fire, he does this in quick with efficient strikes that blasted fire like slashes in the air hitting it's target. Then from there, he held his sword up high and slammed on the ground creating an big slash attack cutting the ground and blasting towards the remaining swords unable to respond in time.
From this he quickly went to defensive pose knowing this wasn't over yet. After checking his surroundings he saw no more swords floating around trying to stab him. Satisfied Leon ran in any direction, hoping to catch up with Auron knowing the battle has not finish yet, and anything can happen at any given moment.
Zoro and Cloud vs Smoke Screen
At this point Cloud and Zoro are being worn down by exhaustion and fatigue. Smoke Screen on the other hand still feels the sting from Cloud's magic attack, but only minor annoyance now getting used to it's effect. Breathing heavily, both Cloud and Zoro had to finish this as soon as possible or else they won't be able to help their friends. Though unlike most of the Straw Hats and Committee members, the swordsmen have deep faith in their own skill and ability to win their fight. This fight with two very unique warriors is testing this faith in their friend's strength. But so far that faith is being tested very deeply as they have never encounter people who can use their powers like this before.
"You two are good, I give you that. But this ends here, not because I say so." Then without warning Violet Knight stuck Cloud from behind with her close quarters combat that manage to catch them off guard, but also has manage to steal Cloud's sword from his person. Zoro is mildly shock, but knew that Smoke screen is still here and snap himself out in time to block one of Smoke screen's attack with his smoke form weapon, "But because this will be your end!" He shouted striking Zoro as he block with his two swords.
"CLOUD!" Zoro shouted his concern as he block Smoke's attacks. Both jump back giving themselves some distance, but Smoke Screen decided to end this conflict as he concentrated on his powers forming mist on the ground then fog following through. Zoro couldn't block the attack in time, bracing for impact as he is forced to use 72 Pound Ho attack, But that's what Smoke was counting on as he form his upper body knocking Zoro off his feet and grab the swords as the wave of Fog moved through and past him. Laying on his back, Zoro slowly recovered as he moved up with bruises on his body.
"Give up Zoro, I don't want to kill either of you out of respect for your strength. But I cannot say for my partner she feels the same." Smoke told Zoro turning his head to see Cloud laying on the ground defenseless as Violet holds his buster sword like she knew how to wield it as her own. Zoro grunted as he face Smoke with stern glare as his opponent.
"So that's it, when things don't go your way you turn to hostage tactics." Zoro spat at Smoke, even as his enemy he has little respect as fellow warrior regardless of his way of fighting. But now with this underhanded tactic, he is ready to cut him to pieces. Zoro knew Cloud can handle himself, but is still upset by this tactic.
"I told you, I will win this fight. But this can be avoided if you join us, and together we will become the greatest warriors all worlds will witness. The Undefeatable, The unstoppable, and The invincible warriors of darkness. I can tell from your heart your dream is to become the greatest of your world, but be with us and you'll be greater then ALL WORLDS!" Smoke boasted with pride and ego, not realizing that Auron has hid himself behind the tree. After some time searching, he found that Violet Knight had pinned Cloud down, making this feel hopeless to save him in time. Zoro might be strong, but without his swords how long can he last against these two.
"So tell me Swordsman, what is your answer. You have no weapons, no swords to grab and no allies to help you. SUMBIT, and I will spare your life and all your friends lives." Hearing this Zoro took his time to look at his situation and see what he has to do next. Looking at Cloud eyes, what he see in his eyes are flames unwilling to surrender, never giving up until his last breath. Cloud may have this calm and collect stare in his eyes, but deep down he knows Cloud own soul blaze with resolve and will to fight on. Looking back at Smoke once more, he sigh then took his third sword he carried around called Yubashiri. Since using three sword style Santoryu, he feels incomplete without his third sword.
Smoke saw this curious about what he's holding asked, "Why do you carry a third sword, is it some memento to your dead friend?" Zoro look at Smoke and said, "No That would be one of the swords your holding in your hand. This one came from an swords shop owner. I was looking for two new swords since I had them broken in battle. When I entered the store I couldn't find anything that was good for my journey ahead. But then I came upon one sword called Sandai Kitetsu. The shop owner feared it's weapon because anyone who wield it was killed from blood lust.
However, I wanted to see about this curse. I toss the sword up flipping in the air, then had my arm out to see if it will cut my arm off or my luck is stronger." Zoro paused then grinned, "In the end, I won and beat the curse. The shop owner impressed with my determination, gave me his own sword. This sword I have is called Yubashiri, we have fought many battle and overcome many challenges. My last fight had me fight against the world government's assassin you used Yontoryu by holding two blades in his hand and his legs cut like blades.
I beat him in battle, but then some guy with devil fruit powers came along and destroyed my sword into rust." Zoro said with sorrow despite showing seriousness demeanor, "I have fought many battles, using nothing but my swords to fight other swordsmen. And now here you are taken my two remaining swords, telling me to surrender because I am disarmed and unable to save my friend's life. Let me tell you something Smoke, A true swordsman doesn't need his swords to fight in battle, but is the sword themselves. For the sword is only good as it's wielder, my dream is to become the world's greatest swordsman, and if I submit defeat here and now after everything I went through with my Nakama. I would rather die then give up my dreams, TO THE BITTER END!" Finishing his speech, Zoro gently put down the Yubashiri, then closed his eyes, stretch his arms and held his arms the way he would with one sword in hand. Only he has no sword or weapon to wield, for he plans to fight this battle with no swords, except for his will and strong resolve in himself and his friends.
Hearing his speech, Auron and Cloud eyes widen in his resolve and remains strong to the end. Violet Knight couldn't help but giggle at Zoro's attempt of bravery, "He's lost his mind." Laughing at Zoro being stupid. Ignoring her, Zoro concentration left him in a state where everything is moving in slow motion. But for Smoke, he simply growled tired of his resistance, charge at him losing all respect for not seeing the reality he's living. Using one of his Ittoryu techniques, Zoro charge at Smoke's opening his eyes facing his enemies.
Mutoryu: Wolf's Fury
In that instant, everything became silent as everyone had just witness something beyond their imagination. Smoke gawk in pain as his body is literally feeling his left side cut up from his shoulders to his left side. Violet Knight mouth is wide open in shock including her eyes. Cloud and Auron eyes widen seeing something that shouldn't be possible. Zoro who had no swords had manage to cut Smoke's body without a weapon with nothing more then his will to fight. In that moment Smoke is on his knees screaming in pain from his injuries as he tried to reform his arm, while Violet Knight shook with furious rage.
"No, how can he have done that, there was no sword! THAT'S IMPOSSIBLE!" Violet yelled in rage, Cloud to this moment to kick Violet when she wasn't looking and went for his sword. Taking action with greater strength then before, Auron charge at Violet Knight then used his strongest Blizzaza magic, Violet saw this and was forced to dodge as she would have been a snow cone if she didn't. Cloud grab his buster sword and charge with Auron who then went into combat to attack Violet Knight. Unprepared and reacting out of instinct, Violet Knight blast the grab with her aero magic blasting herself away then used more wind magic from distance as Cloud and Auron went head on into the fight. Auron who uses wind magic has barely effected him, instead is making in stronger by her own magic. Cloud followed behind enhancing himself with his magic.
Zoro faced Smoke waiting to see if he has given up or plans on fighting once. Smoke now standing faces Zoro with mixer of hate and caution once more underestimating them and their strength. For Zoro, in that moment when fighting with Smoke, something deep within his own soul had pulse with power. Trusting his instincts he grab his swords that Smoke carelessly drop where he stood, then went to his santoryu style he had with his third sword. Smoke this time plans on creating full blown fog surrounding his environment slamming his palms touching the ground. Without hesitation, Zoro charge in this fog using his signature move.
Santoryu: Oni Giri
Surprise by his reckless attack, Smoke could only bring his arms up in time. This time he felt all three blades strike him like some tiger claw, Smoke flung back dispersing his fog as Smoke once again is hurt by Zoro, but not enough to be killed by him. On other hand, Zoro's one empty hand now has a weapon, staring in awe Zoro now holds what Merlin calls a keyblade. The weapon in question has similar appearance with Spike's stun club of this world, only the handle has what many keyblade's handle appear, the end part with it's energy is now shape into a key with 5 teeth, 3 of them longer then the two almost like the letter M. His keyblade is called Light Stunner, with abilities to change shape base on the wielder's imagination.
"Hmm, keyblade huh?" Admiring his weapon, Zoro didn't see Smoke getting back up with his back turn to him. Just as Smoke was about to strike from behind, Leon came with his Firaza spell that effected his smoke feeling true pain towards his body. Zoro then swung his keyblade right around his chest, unable to take pain Smoke started to disintegrate into dust. At this a pink heart appeared ready to float towards the sky. Cloud and Auron are about to finish their fight as Auron finally manage to land his Blizzard spell on her body. This gave them enough time to make multiple strikes 10 each as she shared Smoke's fate, turning into dust with a pink heart floating towards the sky. Finally the battle had been won, but our group is exhausted. However being proud swordsmen had them acting cool and strong even among fellow swordsmen.
"That was interesting." Leon said since no one could say anything to what had happen with fighting those two.
"It was, but I have to say. Your good for a pirate." Auron smirk at Zoro, who look back and replied, "I was a pirate hunter before I met Luffy." Everyone could smile taking in their moment of peace since that fight alone was different from most of their fights. Suddenly out of nowhere, the two hearts that were suppose to fly towards the sky suddenly forced their own hearts to fuse into a bigger heart right above the swordsmen. Moving away from underneath the hearts, the group saw it gathered 3 rings around it's new heart. The rings consist of leaves from plants, wind from the air, and smoke where it could gather. After few seconds of waiting the heart burst the darkness surrounding the heart and started to form some new body. Shock from this new development, the group prepared themselves for what can be considered Round 2 against what foe they will face.
This chapter is dedicated to the swordsmen who make things awesome in fiction. With this Zoro get his first Keyblade from this world and will gain more in the future. This will effect the way he fights using his swords since he gain them from different worlds as he travels. Another thing to add is if Zoro would have some magical abilities what element would he be using?
When it came to the final fantasy characters as Auron, Leon, and Cloud. Not only are they incredible swordsmen, they have some elemental properties, for Auron it was always wind magic that allows him to fight with sped and mass area damage to multiple enemies at once. Leon has more of an fire element to him, this would allow him precise target and accuracy, that and he's more refine to fighting quick battles instead of long ones. And lastly for Cloud, I had to guess but am confident that it's thunder magic. Because of how he use that to power himself and flies around to hit targets at different spots.
A lot of these is from taking their Kingdom Hearts incarnation since they are canon characters in the KH series. Take note a lot of this is guessing and trying to figure out much information as I can. For Zoro my best guess he can use fire, but because of how some of his fighting style stems on his demonic attacks, I would say he has more of an darkness magic on his side. But because of this he will gain the ability to wield both light and dark if it happens.
Some of the Straw Hats will have this for themselves as well. Nami obviously is using all the magic, but would lean more to weather magic which almost as all the elements as she has demonstrated in the One Piece series that she can use Fire, Ice, and Thunder on average. This and more she can be the wizard of their crew for this journey. As for the others Chopper is healing magic, though I think for his case he be against that since he would rather work hard on finding cure the natural way, so for him possibly win magic. Robin would have more of an summoning/earth magic at her disposal, since her devil fruit powers would mend well for her new abilities.
The others I'm unsure, but when a sequel comes around I say their magic will be realized then, for now they are just starting out and I have no idea what magic abilities all of them would gain.
