Hey y'all!

I have added a new OC! It is not the one I mentioned in a new chapter and might be used later.

Disclaimer: I don't own the book.

George Darcy sat in the parlor of Darcy House with his wife and children. His two sons were home from Cambridge and the family had decided to spend the day together in the parlor. They were discussing their plans to head back to Pemberley soon when a footman entered and announced that Lady Matlock had arrived. The woman was shown in and the entire family rose to greet her. Lady Anne Darcy stepped forward and spoke to the woman, "Constance, what a pleasant surprise." Constance Fitzwilliam smiled at her sister in law and her family, "Yes well I have just received a note from Louisa Bingley and I needed my nephews' opinion since my son is taking his tour of the continent."

Benjamin Darcy furrowed his eyebrows at his Aunt's statement, "Why do you need our opinion Aunt?" The woman shot the boy a smile and after sitting down on the sofa she answered, "I need your opinion on a young gentleman from the last ball that you attended. A Mr. George Hurst. Miss Bingley's note mentioned that they had danced together and that she found him agreeable. She does not want to get her expectations up, but was curious what I knew of the man, along with what you knew of the man. Apparently, she had written the eldest three Bennet girls about him and Miss Amelia mentioned asking you both for your opinion."

Fitzwilliam Darcy was deep in thought as he listened to his aunt. He remembered Miss Bingley dancing with Hurst and he knew of the man from Cambridge. He heard his brother give a snort and turned to him in wonder. His brother shook his head before explaining, "You can tell Miss Bingley that she need not worry. I ran into Mr. Hurst in Hyde Park yesterday. We are in the same year at Cambridge so we began speaking of different topics before he started asking questions about Miss Bingley. I made sure to tell him that she was like a sister to my brother and I and that if he had mercenary ideas that he had better leave. He asked me what I meant and I quickly figured out he didn't know about her dowry of twenty thousand pounds or that she came from trade. Apparently, he had not been paying attention to the gossip that had been going around the room about her when she entered. He genuinely likes her Aunt. Though he is nervous that she would not pick him if he asked to court her, because his family's estate is not very big and he does not have the best connections."

His Aunt nodded and asked about his habits. Fitzwilliam Darcy was able to jump in with an answer to the question, "From what I know of him, he does not frequent houses of ill repute and he does not have any gambling debts. From what I have heard he does not even play cards. I know that he is close friends with Noah Lane. Mr. Lane is an admirable young man. He and I have had some games of chess and I will admit that he has beaten me a couple of times. Mr. Hurst does not seem to care that Mr. Lane is a second son of a country gentleman who is going into medicine." Lady Constance Fitzwilliam nodded hearing her nephews' opinion of the man, "Good. I will be sure to relay that information to Miss Bingley. Say Darcy have you heard from Mr. Bennet lately? My husband says that he has not heard from him in nearly six months."

George Darcy shook his head, "Bennet is not the best at letter writing. I also know that after Mrs. Bennet passed, he threw himself in taking care of his estate and raising his daughters. From the reports Catherine has received from their governess Miss Lowell, the girls are doing well and they are learning all they wish to learn. Apparently, Miss Lydia is anxious to start her Latin lessons and Miss Bennet is about to start learning German."

Fitzwilliam Darcy gave a small start at hearing what Jane Bennet was learning, "German? That's an odd choice for a young lady to learn." George Darcy nodded at his son, "Yes, though it sounds like Bennet to let his daughters learn what they wish. I know it upset him when his father did not let his sister learn what she wished too. His father wanted her to learn only what was proper for a young lady." Lady Constance nodded, "Good for him. While girls should know what is proper, they also need to know many different subjects as well. Remember boys when you get married you want a woman who can give you intelligent conversation and give you a good debate." The boys simply nodded, knowing their aunt was correct. They both knew that if they married a woman who was always agreeing with them, then their lives would become very boring.

Anne Darcy faced her husband with an idea, "Dear, we should invite the Bennet family to visit Pemberley soon. It has been ages since we have seen them." Mr. George Darcy nodded in agreement, "You are right dear. I will write to Bennet tomorrow and see if they can come around Easter. The season will be over by then." His wife nodded and the family spent the rest of the morning discussing different plans for the rest of the week before the Countess left to return to her family's townhouse. The Darcy family spent the rest of the day in their parlor spending time as a family.

HI

Amelia Bennet stood waiting with her sisters and father on the front steps of Longbourn. Their Aunt and Uncle Besser's carriage was about to pull up to the house and everyone was excited. They loved their Aunt and Uncle. Their Aunt and father were siblings and had been close their entire lives. After their Aunt married their Uncle and moved to his family estate nearly Scotland, they exchanged letters frequently. Their Aunt and Uncle visited once a year and the girls always looked forward to their visits.

The carriage pulled to a stop in front of the stair and a footman climbed down from the carriage and opened the door. The girls watched as their Uncle stepped down from the carriage before extending a hand for his wife to take. After the carriage door was shut, the couple faced the family of seven and each girl gave the couple a proper greeting before rushing for hugs from the couple. Every person that was on the steps at that moment knew that the duration of the visit was going to be filled with laughter and fun. They all could not wait.

This was a filler chapter and to give y'all some information on people who weren't the Bennets. The next chapter will have the Bessers in it more. Don't forget to review and tell me what you think please!
