Friday 7:35 PM - Messa Park

It was hot and busy this summer afternoon in the city. Most beasts were socializing, running errands, or just partaking in a stroll out in the nice toasty clean air. One small particular rabbit was enjoying a lengthy jog through the town. She had bought a ticket on the metro with the intent of heading towards the center of town, to take in the sights and exercise, but really it was just to give her something to do while her roommate, San, was out on his date with the Inarigumi fox.

She had traveled pretty far, a lengthy experience for someone her size. Not that she complained, she liked exercise. Infact Kyuu loved this feeling, the wind blowing against her fur, her heart beating in protest as she tried to push past her limits. How far could she go this time, she wondered? The last break she took had to have been an hour ago, yet she still had energy to spare. She knew she could go a bit further.

It seemed like forever since Kyuu had been on a true jog, something she could rarely partake in on her own terms in the Back-Alley. Usually in the market slums she could get good sprints at best, but most of the time they were interrupted by distractions; her cellmate San falling behind, avoiding the dangerous crowd of carnivores that could snatch her up, or sometimes stumbling upon some illicit act that is was just best to avoid. It was stifling to say the least. At best she only felt like this when getting chased, and that's not really fun...per se. This shortcut through this park was a godsend, with it's open ground. Still, it wasn't the exercise itself that she missed out on; regardless of the circumstances she would still get the needed mileage for a workout, it's just… nice to be able to run to her heart's content.

Running was just something she enjoyed. Was it her rabbit genes or the necessity of the skill to escape as a prey animal? All she knew was she enjoyed going full speed on these strong legs of hers. However she leaned more towards them also being an important part of her arsenal, such as when it came to her style of fighting. Obviously, too stand a chance she needed her weapons, her technique, her training, but her limbs and were paramount to all that. They afforded her mobility and striking power.

The park itself was pretty... well she had to describe it as different to say the least. It was calm and less chaotic compared to the loud and busy city. There were no crowds, hardly any predators or bigger people to avoid, just the occasional bystander she might pass and the insects whizzing by. Peaceful would probably be a good word, she thought. Just one of the few things she actually enjoyed out here in normal society, freedom represented in its simplest form she guessed. Everything else though about the Outside World annoyed her.

The message of beast harmony plastered almost everywhere in the city was obnoxious and a contrast to the life she knew. She couldn't read much of it, but the images painted a good picture of trust or coexistence. There was just something duplicitous about all this. Maybe it was just her upbringing, but carnivores and herbivores, eaters and prey, living side by side like this, it rubbed her the wrong way.

The so-called safe society this place preached, safe...safe until it's not. Just a buncha lies, she thought. She didn't trust the concept of promised safety, not when her daily reality in the slums clashed with that. This place just made it harder for the carnivores is all. It was more dangerous in the market, but at least in the market, carnivores were open about their true feelings, here carnivores were probably playing along to fit in. She knew from time to time, that some will give into their instincts, that devourings will happen when the opportunity arises. It's rare they'll say, but rare still happens.

A lot of these carnivores were just ticking timebombs. Sooner or later they'll slip, and this "peace" will be broken. After all, she had first hand knowledge just how savage they could get when they lose control. Of course there is restraint, some of her opponents used it with her much to their folly, but one can only hold back their instincts for so long she thought. Eventually someone snaps.

And the herbivores here seemed to know it as well, she saw plenty of examples like with herbivore families in the park. It was subtle, like pulling-your-child-to-the-otherside-of-the-walkway-when-a-puma-walked-past- subtle, but she caught it and she didn't need to be San to pick it up either. Or, how when they were helping smaller animals, some carnivores will occasionally glance down at prey animals instinctively looking for the perfect area to bite only to chicken out or dart off before their "friend" catches on. She had seen the face of a hungry carnivore many times in her youth, that predator gaze was all too familiar to her.

Then when tensions get high, that restraint vanishes real quick. The hybrid train car she rode in on today, was a good example, carnivores will quarrel with one another in front of herbivores, even over something as trivial as encroaching in someone's space. They didn't even have to touch one another for a confrontation to break out. Even the little fox girl, the pygmy half-breed, was a loose cannon. Kyuu remembered earlier today riding in the same train car on the metro. The fox almost caused a panic when she bit some hyena's tie and started scratching at people. This all while she was asleep!

And that foolish idiot, he wants to be with one of them?! With one of her kind? Just a bunch of nonsense, she thought. I have to look out for him constantly, I have to bust my tail for him, I lend him my strength and this is how he values it? Casually throwing his life away because some female carnivore likes him? Like she could ever love you, you're just dinner to her! How can someone like you be so blind?! Idiot, she fumed, punching the air as if it were San in front of her.

The warm summer breeze, brushing over her cream colored fur, a relaxing and cathartic sensation. Nothing like the cold and stiff atmosphere in the claustrophobic slums, well unless of course you ventured towards the warmth of the outdoor grills and ovens in the marketplace. Another punch flew as she continued to vent about her naive fool of a cellmate.

"You're probably nothing but a tool for her!" She shouted to herself. "Probably trying to weaken me!" She threw a flurry of punches as she hurled her frustration for the llama out in the open. Can't even trust him to make good decisions anymore! Be together until the end, huh? You just want to leave me behind don'tcha? Just want to leave everything behind?! Fine! I don't need you!

Her violent release evolved, becoming something of a shadow boxing drill. An imaginary opponent appeared, someone to land these blows on. Thoughts of San faded as furious crimson eyes stared back at her. Maybe it was supposed to be her, she thought.

The jog ended, her focus went to hitting this specter in front of her. Bounce back and forth, moving her head side to side, she adopted the proper orthodox stance like she was taught.

It was odd to fight without her tanto knives and rope, her greatest strength, but it was still worth it to work on her hand to hand and footwork. You'd never know when you'd get disarmed, and being unprepared could spell death.

The shadow closed in with the speed of a comet, throwing a wild hook that the rabbit twisted under just to answer back with a lightning fast solid 1-2 combo, jab followed by a cross. It was all a scenario she could vividly see, the shadowy figure flinching with each blow she landed , but she knew how tough her foes were, hardier than her . A real opponent would be pushing harder now.

The intangible contender furiously countered with an energetic combo of their own. 1-2-5-2 she counted; jab, cross, a loose upward punch that whizzed past her lip, followed by another cross. Dodge! Her mind screamed, ducking and countering, shifting from left to right, tagging them back at crucial spots when she could; areas like the midsection, the chest, the jaw - a prized target.

The more she picked away at their defense, the more intense the shadow fought back. The energetic style made her imaginary opponent very lucid and familiar. It was clear, she wasn't facing herself, the blows had more weight behind them. Instead, her adversary seemed to be a carnivore, but they were around her size. Telltale features began to form around the fiery crimson eyes, the vague shadowy figure morphing into the recognizable. Pointed ears, a slender muzzle, sharp pointed teeth, coarse rust toned fur, bushy brush of a tail; yes it was the little fox whose name she could never get right, the one she had scarred. The one that held a grudge and had started fighting in the arena to get revenge. The perfect person to vent all this built up frustration towards, after all she was unfinished business. It wounded her pride that she didn't properly beat her all those months ago. He interfered there too as well! She raged.

Though she won that fight, Kyuu couldn't fool herself into thinking the fox would be an easy opponent to face again. The vixen, from what Kyuu had studied, had improved considerably, no longer was she some novice relying on natural ability, instead she was more focused and cunning. Her weapons, those curved blades the fox swung around, they weren't anything to scoff at.

Still Kyuu was confident once she disarmed her, that she should be able to contend with her claws. She just needed to train harder, focus on being faster. She could beat her this time, without the chimera . That's what she really wanted after all; to defeat a carnivore outright, no tricks. Most people were bigger than her. The fox was just the right size. That's why she let her live, someone that matched her fighting will. The cat with the sword had come close, but who knew where she disappeared to? The fox, however, was someone she knew would challenge her, one who viewed her as a threat, unclouded by restraint.

"Move faster," she demanded from the fox, jumping forward with a swift kick aimed for the vixen's chin. The rabbit's foot overshot, barely clipping the fox's wedge of ear as she flew past, the fox dipped and pivoted, coming back at her with a flurry of punches. Kyuu jerked accordingly as she danced on the backfoot before landing on her left foot and swinging for a low kick. Her opponent wisely hopped back to avoid it, giving her room to breathe. With that the bunny was back at it, another string of combos flew towards the speedy fox, trying to put more pressure. "Fight harder. Fight harder!" She screamed.

"Give me the reason why I let you live!"

The wraith actually paused as Kyuu punched right through her, glaring back at the herbivore somehow with an offended look. A mischievous cackle answered Kyuu as she turned to face her. "Hehehehe."

"You, let me live? Right." A husky feminine voice spoke and the vision pointing at Kyuu with her razor-edged finger. The cocky tone of her voice only ticked the lagomorph off more than she already was. "You were only in that position to begin with because your big soft llama was there to rescue you! Isn't that what happened?"

"Stop speaking as if you speak facts," the raging rabbit growled back under clenched teeth.

"But that is a fact!" The rust furred vixen shouted, swinging a savage swipe that Kyuu knew to avoid. "I would have ripped your fucking head off back then, just like I can now! " The red blur pounced forward on the offensive, thrusting forth with a quick combo; 1-2-3-2. Jab, cross, uppercut, cross. The canid was a second too slow with each attack.

"Shut up!" The rabbit answered back as she narrowly avoided the cross she imagined barely clearing her head.

"Ooooh isn't that the case? Isn't that why you're even imagining this now?!" The fox teased.

"S-Shut up!" Kyuu stammered, hurling a savage punch trying to smash the fox's face in.

The phantom fox's visage was one of amusement as the rabbit became more and more incensed. "Oh, did I get under your fur this time? Hehehehehe!" The fox snickered, as she ducked another haymaker Kyuu threw. "Not so fun when it's the other person, huh?"

"Grrrr!" The rabbit growled frustrated, exploding at the fox, fluidly swinging a kick following the 'maker, trying to put the shadow on the backfoot.

"You're the one thinking up all this. You really think I'm this slow? You think it will be this easy the next time? You really think you can beat me in a fight like this? Hehehehe! Face it! You need him! You need your chimera, you need your knives! The rope, all of it. You're nothing without them! You'll never beat me like this! You know it!" The shadow snarled, luring Kyuu in ever closer. Kyuu hooked a sweet right that could have hit her, but the fox peeled off to the side. Kyuu wanted to go faster. Any second slower and a real fighter could theoretically catch her blow and counter. The shadow grinned as if she could tell that the lop was frustrated.

"Maybe that's the real reason he left you, maybe he's trying to leave you for a real fighter. I'm sure she knows a better one, in fact... maybe I'll replace you!" The fox took a brazen advance towards Kyuu and reached out to swipe her across the face. Kyuu wisely leaned out her claw's path. " Surely he knows I'm better!" The pint-sized vixen screeched as she swung her claws again in a flurry at the rabbit's head.

The cream colored blur pushed herself. Go faster! Slip in! Shut this mouthy bitch up! She screamed at herself. No matter how weary her body felt, she kept going, her rage kept her moving. She just needed to time her counter attack just right; THERE!

Just when the fox swung wild with an upward slash, she juked back and launched forward, kicking into the chest of the fox. She had gotten so worked up she forgot the image was just that, an image, an illusion she herself crafted. Her kick phased through nothing, it was just her imagination that the canid folded from such an attack, the bunny pivoted upon landing, lashing out with more of her rage. She threw every inch of frustration into punishing the fox, the next blow, a low right cross slamming right where the fox's abdomen would be. She relished in the fantasy of hitting her; the fox doubling over, her pained expression, the sharp shrill bark she would have cried out. The shadow retaliated quickly firing back her own hasty counter.

"You floppy-eared Bitch!" The fox screeched, swinging wildly with her claws nearly coming close enough to blind. "All of this is pointle-"

The fox overextended, her follow up swipe went too high over the rabbit's head. Wide eyes of shock were on her face, the mistake sinking in, all just what the herbivore wanted to see.

"Careless!" The rabbit shouted, becoming a cream colored blur as she slid under the phantom vulpes reach. The utter smug on her darkened face as she slammed her left fist right in the vixen's eye, using the scars she 'gifted' her as a bullseye. She imagined the fox grunting, her body shuddering, dropping down to a knee. Kyuu knew better, she would need to finish this, drop her now.

"I can defeat you! I WILL!" She screamed sinking under and delivering a decisive uppercut, the rabbit's fist flew dead on into the underside of the canid's jaw, the red eyes closing shut as her jaw slammed into the roof of her mouth. The pygmy fox fell over and laid there, snout up and eyes glazed, unable to rouse herself.

"Anything else to say while you're down there?!" The bunny's eyes scowling over the dark fur on her mouth, panting profusely, her heart pulsating within her chest with the tempo of a bongo drum. The fox's eyes sprang open as the rabbit stood over her ready to go again.

"Yes…" The vixen said as her muzzle parted, revealing those fangs of hers, licking under her canines with that thick tongue of hers whipping to-and-fro, her sharp beady pupils gazing back at her… with a look. It was like hunger and yet somehow… more than that, like how the white fox looked at San in office when she made passes at him. It was a longing and desiring look...d-did she want her?

Kyuu barely had any words, she was flustered and confused. Do- I.. l-like that? This is…what?

"I love that look on your face." The fox said.

Was this flirting? Kyuu thought.

"You look so delicious when you're worked up like this!"

Kyuu froze solid at the utterance, eyes wide open, taken aback. Her arms felt weightless. The world around her became cold and dark. Her heart began racing, suddenly everything felt... light.

Memories flooded in, recollections of the past in the tower. The fox somehow morphed into every carnivore that ever window shopped outside her cell at the livestock tower. All staring down at her, salivating, fangs bared, rattling on the bars, trying to get a rise out of her, something to make her squirm.

"Number 9 looks tasty."

"She looks so appetizing, how much?"

"You sure she's not for sale yet?"

"I can't wait till you get bigger."

"You look so delicious when you're worked up like this!"

Somehow that particular phrase the fox uttered, one she had to have heard countless times by now, that caught her off guard? It had to be a trick, her own mind playing games.

"Why don't you join me?" The fox beckoned, slyly slinking up from the ground, poised to snatch her up. Kyuu broke free of her trance, looking down just in time to see the vixen pounce. "Give me your neck!" The vixen snarled, savage creature with her jaws sprang open like a trap, ready to snap shut on her throat.

Kyuu cursed herself for her hesitation as she reeled back. On instinct she had her arm up defensively, she cocked it back and used it to plow a right hook dead into the fox's snout, stopping the vulpes cold. The vixen cried out as the blow connected. Kyuu could even hear the loud satisfying thud...thud? Wait...she had actually hit something.

"EY!" barked a loud male voice with a peculiar accent Kyuu had never heard before.

"Hmm?" Like that it was over, the fantasy faded. The fur atop her round head was damp from sweat and her heart rate was skyrocketing. The fox vanished from sight as she realized her fist was sunk into a soft tall green cylinder. It wasn't anything hard or metal like a lamp post, instead it was malleable yet tough...like cloth and flesh. She pulled back and looked up. It was a leg, someone's leg, she had hit someone. Someone taller than her unfortunately.

"Um..." She started off, her large eyes transfixed on what was in front of her. Before her stood a real potential threat, not some make-believe shadow. The leg's owner was a tall and lanky male hairy primate; a monkey to be exact. Kyuu may have had limited knowledge of their kind, but she knew you could tell a monkey by the tails and he had one, a long and swaying black tail, curving and arcing behind him like a cobra snake.

From what she could see under his green/white tracksuit was dark brown fur with some tufts of white in some areas like atop his head where his eyebrows would be. He had a typical primate face with large eyes, hairless pinkish snout and a mouth which housed two sets of curved incisors that poked out whenever he spoke. Only carnivores have sharp teeth like this, she reasoned. She took a cautionary step back, trying to at least give her an option to escape his range if he got hostile.

She quickly shoved her thoughts aside to focus. She had reason to be wary, he was bigger than her after all. Her head barely came up past his stomach, he towered over her. Still though he wasn't a large breed like a chimpanzee or a gorilla. If San were here he'd stand over the simian by at least a foot. He also had a different build to those types of primates, his being more lean and slender.

He had a very musky sweat soaked scent about him. The white undershirt he had on under his jacket, had a darkened stain in the neck area. His flush face and heavy panting told her of exercise. Perhaps he had been jogging as well and didn't see her? Figures , she thought, bigger people always ignore the smaller ones in front of them.

"Well?" The simian asked, his voice sounding velvety-smooth and young, yet seasoned, probably she gauged maybe late thirties. The white fur over his eyes shifted indicating his brow was raised. Despite his raised voice, he didn't seem mad or enraged, at worst annoyed.

"Why yoo hit me,?" He questioned her, something was off to her.

His smooth voice clashed with a heavy accent of broken speech of some kind. It reminded her and San first attempts at speech so long ago.

"I.. I was just training." She answered, trying to keep her nerve. It was the truth after all, she was just exercising.

"Para quê? A liga de boxe de coelho?" He muttered with puzzlement as he rubbed his leg.

"Um boxeadora de coelha? Quem teria pensado?"

Kyuu couldn't make sense of what he was saying. None of this day made sense.

"What's that gibberish you're speaking?" She grilled him, a sullen look on her face. She wasn't in a particularly good mood at the moment, not with those thoughts on her mind.

He sighed and slowed down. " Foi mal ...uh...sekənd língua y'know? Ugh. Um...A rabbeet... uh bäksər, ye?" He threw a few jabs in front of him to emphasize. He scratched the dark brown fur under his chin as he pondered looking down at her. "Dats new, neva herd of dat."

Was he just underestimating her like the others? She thought, Typical, just typical. I'm just some weak bunny to you huh? Give me a few minutes and I'd have you on your back in no time at all.

"Look pal, I was just training, I didn't see you. You just ran into my fists is all." She roughly explained, no attempt to even hide the annoyance infesting in her voice.

"Aand?" The monkey asked, brow raised, holding his hand out like he was expecting something.

"And what?" The rabbit retorted sharply, uncertain at what he was getting at.

"Ugh.. and my apologee? Ain't chu... supposed to say sorree after dat? I thought yoo lot were niiiice əˈround here ye?"

The sloppy accent more accurately reminded her of that bear she slew earlier this year, though this was the first time she actually held a conversation with someone like this, it really struck her innate curiosity.

"What's wrong with you? Why do you talk so funny?" She bluntly asked, completely ignoring his request.

"Ugh... Você é uma moça esquisita. Fers yoo hit mee, now yo͝or jest gonna insult the way I tôk?"

"Just answer the question, weirdo!" The rabbit doubled down, rolling her eyes with her trademark scowl.

"Can't yoo jəst say särē, moça ?"

"What was that you just call me?!" The tiny rabbit glowered up at him very sourly.

"Wut? moça? Uh fēˌmāl... girl...y'know."

"No, I don't know. It's why I'm asking!" She shouted, folding her arms. "I've never heard anyone speak like you."

He perked up his mouth and rolled his eyes at her perceived ignorance. "Uh, understandable. I'm nät from əˈround here, ye? I'm frəm a plās called Brasiil "

"Brasiiiiil… never herd of dat. " She teased, trying to mimic his accent and earlier comment.

The monkey rubbed his face and began laughing. "Jajajaja...Haf yoo herd of en apologee den, ?!" He snapped suddenly, not really amused by her sass in the slightest.

Kyuu took a step back as spit almost hit her in the face. "I don't think I have to say sorry for someone who should have been more aware!" She shot back.

"Yoor de wun dat hit me!" He shouted down in her face where she got a full view of the sharp teeth in his mouth. "If anyone shoulda heff bin more aware it shoulda heff bin yoo! Sua puta estúpida."

Kyuu's brow raised at the last comment. "Did you... you just call me stupid?" She asked indignantly.

"Oh, so yoo caught dat ey? Beleza ," he muttered. He giggled at her. "I bet yoor wun of dhose types, sim . Too full of 'emselfs to know when dey're wrong, den when sum wun calls dem out den dey get əˈfendəd!"

"If I'm wrong, then why not do something about it?" The rabbit replied with a smug look on her darkened face, beckoning for him to try and hit her.

The monkey tilted his fuzzy head at her, staring down both amused yet a bit puzzled. "Oooh, is dat Chalənj I hear, ?"

Either she was brave or foolish he thought, probably the latter.

"You want me, ta do 'sum'ting' 'bout it?" The monkey was besides himself, as if he couldn't help but crack up at this foolhardy bunny acting tough in front of him. " Merda , wut would I look like hitting sumwun like you out here? Nät gud at t'all."

"Oh...because I'm just some soft and weak female, huh?!" She teased before punching him hard in the leg.

"Ow!" He shrieked. " Maldito idiota !"

He winced as he massaged his leg. "For a rabbit yoo sure got a mēn streak... but nät a bad jab. Lotta power dere, sim." He oddly complimented. "Glad my shin isn't my chin."

"What? Surprised a little herbivore like me can fight?" She said punching the air in front of her, returning to a bit of shadow boxing.

" Bacano " He said, studying her, observing her stance and how she carried herself. " Er yoo do got a.. nīs..uh form, bit rough y'know."

"What would you know about it?" She asked him as she threw a swift combo in front of her.

"Bit of...uh ...a fīdər myself, been in a few scraps and scrapes. Gotten a few bruises, gave a few bruises jajaja ." He said as he studied her intently, scratching under his chin. "Wut's a pequeno like yoo doin' all dat fightin' for anyhaw?"

"There any rules that say I can't? What's wrong with me fighting?" She casually replied, unperturbed, lost in her drill.

"Well...Yer a maldito coelha , y'know a rabbeet!" He replied.

"And what? That means I can't fight?" She gave him a quick side view glance at the implication.

"Use'ly yeah…awful streng for any small breed like yoo takin' up fightin', come ta think of it, wut kinda plās lets sumwun like yoo fight, hmm?" He leaned down with his hand over his face. "Nowhere reputable, I wager? Dat secreto marketplace in da barrio ?" He asked in a hushed voice, looking around. "Wun of dos...uh...arenas?"

He got her attention with that. The rabbit just looked back at him with the smuggest of smiles.

"Hmph, you know about those? Need me to prove it?" She boasted as she rolled her shoulders before making a beckoning gesture. She was egging him on this whole time, she was just waiting for him to try something. She needed something to hit

"Prove it?" He asked incredulously, snickering at her eagerness. "Wut?"

"How bout' it? You knock me down, I'll apologize." She said, throwing some mock punches at him. "I knock you down, you buy me a drink from a vending machine to cool off."

The simian cracked a smile at the pint-size, entertained by her cocky attitude.

"Dat's how yoo apologize, huh? Yoo use'ly threatin' estranhos to do eet?" He asked.

"Usually, we wouldn't be talking." She replied.

" Jajajaja. " He was utterly tickled after hearing that. "Yôr a weird coelha , y'know dat?"

"Offer still in front of you." The mischievous rabbit said cracking her knuckles in her palm with a nice pop . "I don't know about you, but it'd be nice to hit something real for a change today."

The monkey gave her a look over, before cracking his neck. "Hmmm... bem... why not? Might...uh teach yoo sumting y'know...maybe sum mannas, ye?" He said cracking his own knuckles.

"Amazing, I think I can actually understand you now." She said with enthusiasm as she started to look around. Fighting out in the open would probably be dicey, fighting a guy twice her size even more so. It probably would draw too much attention and she didn't want any interference.

"Let's just... uh go behind that building over there in the shade." The little herbivore proposed, pointing to one of the park's brick restrooms off the path a few meters from them. "Just us."

The simian looked at the building and back to the rabbit, a bit wary.

"Tá ...behind a... restroom?" He shook his head. "Yoo know wut pēpəl do behind restrooms? Y'know...yoo being a moça and me being a-y'know?"

"Yeah yeah, I get it. Whatever...it's just somewhere out of sight, so no trespasser will interrupt us."

The monkey rolled his eyes and just nodded. "Y'know before we start uh, how 'bout we freshen up huh, catch our breath, cool off, den we uh... go at it, ye?"

"Works for me, just don't go running away like a coward."

He shook his finger at her with a smile, likely holding back any urge to lash out. "Oooh, yoo dunno when ta quit, ey? Jajajaja ."

He headed towards the door, before he turned around, seeking to ask something. "Oh, by the way. Um...wuts yer nome hmm? Y'know if yoo don't mind me askin?"

"What's it to you?"

" Well if we gonna fight, mightas well know each udda. Meu nome é Pao o Macaco Aranha ," He said with a graceful bow. "Means Spida monkee I think in ur language. But yoo can jas call me Pow."

"Spider? Where's your other legs?" She asked, the look of skepticism on her darkened face. She had never heard of the species before, he didn't look much like a spider to her.

" Jajajaja, y'know wut? How 'bout it be a surprise, ey?" He ominously teased with a toothy grin as his black tail swayed behind him like a serpent. "So, I gave yoo mine, wuts urs , hmm ?

"I'm Kyuu. Just Kyuu." She said plainly with no airs.

"Kyuu, ?" He said squinting at her momentarily, scratching the hair under his chin like a beard. "Kyuu... Interessante nome , er. I like eet. Siiimple, ye."

"You done wasting time, Pow?"

" Jajajaja! I'll see u ina uh..few minutos. Den we'll wurk on dat attitude, Sim ." He darkly joked, heading into the building.

It was starting to get dark and the park had become less populated by the time they have both had their rest and came out to face one another. Most people had left for the festival in the park a few blocks down and it was really just them, by themselves outside the building.

As soon as he made sure the coast was clear, he slid off his track suit jacket and let it drop to the concrete, revealing just how surprisingly toned he was underneath. While his black fuzzy limbs were long and slender, they definitely had the muscle definition of a fighter. He looked like he could back up his claim of being experienced, which Kyuu was all too eager to test.

"Yoo still want to go thru dis?" He asked one last time, trying to at least give her an out.

The lop's only answer was a silent stare as she slid off her jacket as well. She only had her white tank top on underneath, and as if on cue the monkey began to laugh at something as she tossed her jacket to the ground beginning with some a few practice swings to get limber.

"Jajajaja! Belo par de mamas, hã? Jajaja!" He jested, mocking her by grasping around his chest. She didn't need to speak his language to know what he meant, which only ignited a fire in the small herbivore.

"I'm going to hit you, as hard as I can." She merely replied in a very cold tone.

"Oooh dats sucha gud idea, coelha ." He joked nonchalantly, warming up with a few practice jabs of his own with his back turned to her. "Yoo might hafta git serious, special'y if yoo wanta git out of dat apologe-Errrrgh!" He had barely turned around as suddenly a breeze blew past his face, and red and cream blur blocked out the sun.

It was like a blink, everything went white in the span of a millisecond accompanied by a sore feeling in his face that lingered. She hit him! The rabbit had kicked him hard, right under his left eye near his snout. The monkey staggered back a few steps, dizzy and unstable as she landed, bouncing back and forth.

"Ergh..." He mumbled, massaging his nose, nothing broken or bleeding. "I guess I hed dat wun comin', ye?"

"Yeah, and you got more coming!" The lop threatened as shuffled in front of him. The monkey raised his guard and cracked a cocky smile.

This was going to be fun. He thought.
