All chapters are finally rewritten, now with the next chapter will continue from where we last left here. Once moving on to the next world, there will be intermissions where the characters will take a break and show more slice of life style. Plus if more people join the Straw Hats on their journey, there is a big surprise for later chapters. After the intermission, we then have space conflict. While One Piece does good on the fights and other awesome stories/adventures, one of things we need is ship battles. Those chapters will have their own surprises as well.

Chapter 15: City of Apes - Ninja-Monkey Showdown I

The Professor's Lab

After sending Luffy, Chopper, Spike and Tifa up towards Moon base, the rest are here waiting for any signs of trouble. Nami, Robin, Yuffie, and Aerith are now waiting and supporting Cid and Casi in case something happens. Nami and Yuffie are just hanging out while Robin and Aerith are more so assisting Cid in his endeavors. Casi is able to do most of the work by coordinating the others as some of them are leading the Monkeys around the world to stop the heartless. But from what they hear some of the more stronger members of both Straw Hats and Committee are able to wipe the floor with these heartless.

"Seems awfully quiet." Yuffie comment, even though she and Nami are enjoying this moment of peace, they couldn't help but feel something bound to happen.

"I know, that feeling that something bad will eventually happen seems to be over our heads." Nami said agreeing with Yuffie, "But at least the others are still okay." She smiled.

"Say Nami, I been wondering for sometime. I know you guys have told us your personal life story, how before meeting you guys have suffered some tragic past. Yet you don't really talk too much about it, mostly from when you guys met and your situation at the time." Yuffie said, being a bit curious about how Nami who hated pirates willingly joined Luffy and his crew was something she wouldn't have guess about Nami. While they did explained some of their life, most of them is about how they all met. If they had asked Luffy since he's the one that created this crew, everyone knew he wouldn't make sense since some of the description are hard to understand or he couldn't explain properly.

"You mean before joining Luffy and the crew?" Nami asked for clarity. It's not like they don't want to explain their past, in fact you could argue that some are more willing and have come to feel accepted among the crew. For the most part Luffy doesn't seem that interest in their past, not in a bad way more like he cares more for who you are today then what you were back then. Not to mention when the chips are down, everyone in the crew would fight to the bitter end for their friends. Something everyone can see once they got to know him.

"Yep, I mean you guys did tell us about how you met and how everyone has been with Luffy ever since. But I can't really say you told us what you were doing before that?" Yuffie and the others wanted to know more since they were going to be sailing together in space. While unsure about the pirates, they can certainly say without doubt they can handle themselves well. Granted not all of them are equally strong, yet strong enough for what they had to do for their position. The term Monster Trio is given to Luffy, Zoro and Sanji as their strongest members, while awkwardly the weak trio could be considered for Nami, Usopp and Chopper(If his devil fruit wasn't involved) seemed more about support or hit and run tactics. Now they are sailing together, probably would have to start giving new nicknames when it's all said and done.

"I guess we haven't, most of us don't talk about it much because we don't have to worry about our past and how we should think of the present then what we are then. I know that luffy didn't hear much about what I went through in my past when Nojiko tried to explained to them. But Luffy left instead of listening." When Yuffie heard this she felt that was rude and uncaring of Luffy, but she couldn't say anything when looking at Nami smil softly to herself, "You probably think it's heartless of Luffy to not hear my side, but you be wrong in thinking he doesn't care when he truly does, just not in the way you think. You see when I saw Luffy still there after I had not only shouted at him, but also tried to say I killed Usopp just to force him away... he stayed. Knowing I needed help more then I wanted to admit. Once I asked for help, he gave his most precious treasure his hat. And declare he will along with all my friends to help." Nami explained remembering how it happen and how she couldn't help but be happy for herself and the friends she has around her.

She then remembered that Yuffie was asking about her past and she then explained, "Back then I was in some village Bell-mere found me after some battle took place, she didn't tell me the details, but she did say that Nojiko and I were from the same village but aren't sisters by blood. She was once a marine and she decided to take care of us."

Yuffie then shouted, "Whoa, whoa, whoa wait a minute. Let me get this straight, you were once a pirate thief that steals from pirates, but you then became a pirate when joining Luffy's crew, back you were always raised by a marine lady who found you in some village that could have been raided by pirates... and you still became a pirate?!" Yuffie comment in shock and disbelief.

"I know right." Nami smirk at Yuffie's comment.

"...You know what, I have seen strange things so I don't have the right to judge." Yuffie stated to herself.

"You mean other then facing monkeys, heartless and flying ships?" Nami questioned.

"You don't want to know. So, I assume that Arlong came at some point?" Yuffie asked, not in a rude way but curious about how this happen.

"It happen more so after few years living with Bell-mere. Back then we couldn't afford much on our own. I wanted to have more things and it would have cost more money then we could afford. One time I got so mad, that I said something I shouldn't have back then. That was when Arlong showed up, nobody could fight then as the fishmen were to strong, they force everyone to pay certain amount of beri to each of us living in one house, if they couldn't afford it they kill that one. When he reach our house, Bell-mere had the option to say she's a single women with no kids. This would have saved her life, but instead she paid what was for both us instead, knowing she would die accepted her fate, always loved us and is happy to raised as her own children." Nami then turn to see Yuffie getting all teary eyed, almost crying her eyes out by Nami's story.

Yuffie then rub her eyes and said, "Sorry, I didn't realize that's what happen to you. I should've been more sensitive to your feelings-"

"It's okay, I'm not as effected by this as I used to be, thanks to Luffy and the others I feel more free to chase my dreams then I used to believe." Nami said, but then suddenly their was some rumbling as the laboratory.

"Looks like we might have company." Yuffie said arming herself.

"So much for a break." Nami prepared herself as well, unsure what they will be facing.

Moon Base - Chopper and Spike vs Jake

As soon as Jake launch himself towards them. Chopper had to moved Spike out of the way before he was hurt beyond repair, this only delayed them for a moment as Jake's own aftershock kick in. The two are thrown back by the force of the attack as Jake stood for a moment impressed by his own powers.

"If this is what I can do now, imagine what I be like if using the full power of darkness." Jake thought, but while he was thinking this Chopper had change into his Reindeer form and had Spike ride him.

"This is ridiculous, Jake wasn't able to do that by himself. Just how powerful is this darkness to effect someone like that?" Spike asked Chopper.

"Sorry, but I don't know about this stuff then the others. Me and my friends are just starting this journey in other worlds, but I didn't think people would use this darkness for themselves. From what I hear it would kill you if expose too long." Chopper explained.

"Then we have to somehow fight him." But then just as he said this, Chopper jump to the side when Spike look back telling Chopper to dodge. Jake saw them on the move running around the hallways, and started to give chase. Jake in his dark power form is now running twice as faster then any Olympic gold medal runner. This cause Chopper and Spike to panic and run even faster then before. Now knowing that they are to be killed by Jake, his powers both are powerful and scary to someone like Chopper. While he has faced some tough opponents, most of the stronger fighters are normally to the monster trio. But now on different worlds, Chopper realize he has to do more then back on his world.

As they ran through the hallways, the two had to avoid some of Jake's attacks involving his blitz attacks using the darkness for extra boost in power. Then they also had to avoid some of his fireball attacks, but as this chase continued Spike's increase worry for his friend grew knowing they have to fight him somehow in someway. Eventually they are lead towards one room filled with robotic ape like machines. What they saw shock them to their core as armies of at least over hundreds to thousands are station in this area.

"Is this... Specters private army?" Chopper asked, wondering if this was what could have happen if the monkeys stayed alongside Specter.

"I think so, but I never imagine he had this many?!" Spike said in surprised.

"Impressive right?" Both turn to see Jake smirking at their shock expression and ready to test his abilities, "This was some of Specter's original plans, with the increase powers of darkness, many ideas and schemes came to him whispering many great ways to take over this world. But then as he grew in tune with darkness, his mind started to change to instead of taking this world, would then drive it into darkness. Thanks to Crimson Ninja we are now able to fulfill our plans much quicker then we normally would have before." Jake gloated.

But Spike wasn't having it, "Jake, you have to fight this! I don't know what is being place inside your heart or who's in control, but you cannot allow the darkness to win, everyone is counting on us to stop the heartless and Specter from taking this world, please help us." Spike pleaded with Jake that is still inside his heart despite the darkness taking over his body.

"Your to late Spike, soon this world and all others will be swallowed by the darkness. But first you two will be destroyed." Jake shot some blast towards them, Chopper then jump up on top of one robot to avoid being seen. Spike held on for dear life as Chopper is jumping around avoiding Jake following behind. But once they got on ground, Spike hop off and Chopper change form into Heavy Point. Once Jake spotted them from above he tried to shoot his dark ball at them, but they scattered in time before he could do damage to any of them.

"Spike, I have to fight Jake, you go on ahead and stop Specter." Chopper called out.

"No we need to fight together." Spike called back, in the middle of this Jake jump down and place both palms towards opposite ends and fired at them. Chopper took cover behind one of the robots while Spike did the same. Right now both of them are being cautious because they don't know what happens if they are hit too much by this darkness. When Chopper got hit from behind, the marks from Jake's attack hadn't faded as easily. Understanding this was something they couldn't tank through Chopper and Spike had to play this smart.

"Jake's too strong for either of us, if we somehow beat him we can at least take Specter on Together." Spike called out taking cover in the process.

"But how are we suppose to beat him." Chopper called back asking.

"You can't" Jake shouted with a sinister grin shooting the two despite not making his shots.

"Dang it, the last time wasn't as bad as this time around. I just never thought Jake would be this dangerous since I beat him before. But now thanks to his new powers, I don't think I can take him on my own. Plus we have Specter to worry, none of us have time to fight him and Specter at the same time." As Spike thought about some way to beat Jake, he realize one key thing he's missing and grin at the possible idea.

Jake keep firing until he became bored, not wanting to waste time on Chopper, Jake instead went towards Spike to finish the job. Seeing this Chopper quickly charge from behind in his heavy point. But is surprise when Jake shot back from behind, quickly avoiding this Chopper change into his Reindeer point in time to charge at him. Then once close enough change into his Heavy Point and punch Jake hard enough to make him flew back falling on his backside. Chopper then tried to tackle Jake, but is then kick from underneath by his surprising strength using both legs.

Chopper is thrown towards the top of one robot where Jake jump from, but now Chopper is there. Jake then used the darkness to jump higher then normal and dive bomb towards Chopper as he tried to kill him. Just in time dodge his attack from a divebomb, but the aftershock came sending Chopper back smashing on the ground below. When he slowly got up his eyes widen in shock at the damage done by Jake who is appearing more sinister by the minute.

"Your much more durable then imagine." With those words, Jake place one hand in front of him and speed charge at Chopper, in his panic state rolled to the side to avoid being hit by Jake. Yet suffering another aftershock from his attack, forcing Chopper to be slammed against one robots leg with his back. Feeling the pain from that shockwave, Chopper had to quickly get up before he was attack once more. As he did Jake rushed towards Chopper, but is then knock aside when something hit him from above. Both of them turn to see Spike had taken control of the Monkey Robot. Jumping towards one aera that is cleared he faced Jake armed with weapons all over his body.

"Sorry Jake, but you must be taken down." With this Spike fired missiles, from his back, shoulders and some of his chest. When this happen, Jake quickly as he could fired his dark balls at them, destroying most but some had landed direct hits on him Chopper manage to recover and shouted, "Spike, he's still human don't overdue it." Understanding Chopper, he switch to his guns that are installed in his arms. But is then taken out by Jake who fired one giant dark ball towards him. This destroyed the right arm, seeing Jake hurt but is still well was about to unleash another dark ball towards the other arm. Spike immediately had to escape in time before he was killed along with the robot. Chopper change into his reindeer form, rushing towards Jake to stop his attack.

Right when Jake launch his dark ball at Spike, Chopper change into his Heavy point while he jump in air and ready to smash into Jake.

Heavy Gong

Before Jake could react Chopper smash his fist at his face, causing more damage then before as Chopper place all his strength into one punch. Then he continued this punching Jake about 5 more times and grab him for his next attack.

Heavy Suplex

With this one smash, Jake couldn't handle the damage anymore as he slowly feel unconscious from both the robot and Chopper quick attacks on his body. Spike had rushed over to see if his friend is still okay. Once checking over he sigh in relief as Jake is just knock out with some bleeding.

"He should be okay now right?" Spike asked.

"I don't know, he was still this way when after he got beaten by the others. I think if we are to free him we have to somehow beat Specter." Chopper informed, while this sadden Spike, you can tell he at least understands what this means.

"Guess we have to leave him here?" Spike sadly said while he may not be the brightest, he at least understood what the darkness has done Jake.

"Not without fixing some of his injuries, he may have wanted to kill us, but I don't plan on leaving him alone bleeding. I'm a doctor, if I couldn't help those in need, then what's the point of curing all diseases." Chopper declare to Spike, who is appreciating his kindness for his friend.

"Thank You Doctor." But Chopper then did his little dance and said something that is both funny and awkward since the situation is dire. Once they made sure Jake is fix up, Chopper thought it was best to bring him regardless of how he's the enemy, since he's injured Chopper wouldn't turn down anyone in need of medical help. Now they once more are going to work their way towards Specter, but Spike has an idea how to make this progress work faster for them.

Sunny Go.

To say defending the Sunny was going well would be an understatement, in fact right now they are having some hard time since this is taking place in both land and sea. For somehow not only are they facing the heartless of this world, but also the Freakish Shadow 10 heartless as well.

Leon had taken the charge in the assault by swinging his blade by jumping towards the enemy, when he did this he keep on jumping from one heartless to another. But had to retreat back to prevent the other heartless that are starting to assault the Sunny. Auron along with Zoro fought back to back on the main deck as they slice and dice any Heartless that came close to them, sometimes they switch position and skillfully sync with their movements and techniques in combat. While not prefect, the two had some understanding of each others fighting abilities. The Others like Usopp, Paine, Yuna, and Rikka are together shooting from a distance. More so Usopp as he is given supplies thanks to the trio Gullwing assisting in helping others.

At that time Franky quickly understood they would overwhelm, so he chose to steer the Sunny away using the paddle system. When he took control he steer as fast as they could away from the shores and into the ocean where they are being chase by mostly flying Heartless, with every now and then other heartless appearing on the ship.

"Hey, get off our ship!" Franky shouted, punching some heartless that were close to him, with Leon helping him knock them off the Sunny.

"I hope the others can stop Crimson Ninja in time before this world is taken over." Leon shouted between his swings.

"I'm more concern about what happens once they finally take on Specter and Crimson Ninja. No doubt they are strong, but when it comes to Intelligent enemies, Luffy isn't smart enough to get around. I hear from the others if the enemy is tricky then they had to make sure he doesn't fall for some traps. Franky said to Leon.

"That's not helpful in lessening my concerns." Leon replied back.

"I didn't say it was, but with how we have no choice but to trust them, then we have to keep believe they can defeat that heartless and monkey." Franky said almost steering too hard.

"Guess that's all anyone can do." Leon then slice another heartless while Usopp shot from afar one heartless that could have shot Leon at his back. As they tried to sail away from more heartless appearing, the world is starting to darken as heartless are beginning to increase.

Moon Base - Luffy and Tifa vs Crimson Ninja

As Tifa would attack head on towards Crimson Ninja, Luffy tried to take on armies of heartless that would interfere with their battle. Some of the Invisible Red's had tried to sneak attack or surround Luffy using their ninja skills or assume skills since they are only dark beings without thought unlike Crimson Ninja. Yet despite this Luffy is able to defeat them easily.

But while he fights with those heartless, both Tifa and Crimson Ninja are fighting one on one. Using only their skills in both fist and kicks. You could argue that this was an dream matchup between both human and monster, in which both are fighting with martial arts of their respective fighting styles. As the two first punch each other fist, both of them made contact and are flung back. Then charging at each other once more, Tifa tried to attack CN's head, but is then caught before making contact with his right hand, then Tifa tried to swing with her own right hand towards him. Only to let go quick enough to avoid her strike, Tifa then threw some strikes 2 from straight punch towards his head then one uppercut, then tried to kick towards his head. When he leap back, he then made his own strike by jump kick spin, forcing Tifa back enough before countering more from CN punches.

Tifa dodge 3 of his fist while blocking his 4th strike, then punch his head with her right arm. CN step back and avoided one of her kick, but then grab her leg and spun her around until he leg go. Because they are fighting in narrow hallways, Tifa didn't have time to react as her back is slammed against one wall. She grab by her throat trying to choke her to death. But Tifa used her leg to kick him either below the belt or his stomach. Since he is technically a heartless, the gut is most likely her best bet. When he is shoved off, she quickly stood and tried to kick him. Only to roll away in time as he quickly stood up and continued to block her attacks. No longer in the mode for close combat, he change tactics and moved away from her giving some distance for his next plan of attack. Tifa wasn't too sure, but knew he was planning something, giving chase she doesn't realize he was going to throw his smoke bomb to give himself the advantage.

This help as Tifa is temporarily blinded by CN and he started to punch and kick her around. Yet thanks to consist training and incredible endurance, even when she is blinded by the smoke. Despite this beside the Invisible Red's that are tough by themselves, CN is more trained and discipline then your average heartless ninja. Combine this with his previous life and his recent training in his techniques and combat, CN is most dangerous by himself and deception. Tifa may have fought back and landed some punches on him, but because of this smoke he had the advantage for the time being. When it clear up Tifa didn't see him until some distance away on her left, she realize they have entered a T shape section of hallway. CN then threw some shuriken's towards Tifa, she then dodge without forcing herself to flip back or jump in some way. All 4 of them missed as they flew over her head.

After this she was then surprise attack by CN flash grenade. She is blinded for a moment, trying to regain sight. But before she could CN took this time and draw out his short sword and threw at her chest, Tifa at that moment became fortunate as while blind, she is then stab in the shoulder thanks to her moving around. Yet the cost of her right arm stab right through almost at her bone is enough to wound Tifa cried out in pain. CN cursed under his breath and quickly fix his mistake by tackling Tifa. Forcing her on the ground, the he grab his sword and pulled it out causing Tifa's nerve to scream in pain, just as CN was about to stab her neck, Tifa grab his sword bleeding in her palm, but then punch CN with all her strength at least three times on his side forcing him to roll over. When this happen, CN tried to stab her using his right hand, yet Tifa rolled away and quickly got up while drinking at least one potion to heal her wounds. CN did the same by jump forward and landing on his feet, turn quickly to face Tifa. With his sword at the ready the two stared in silence, slowly circling around face to face.

In their minds they are thinking about the opponents next move. For Tifa she is thinking of all his ninja tricks he might used or try on her, thankfully she had some insight from Yuffie that some ninjas don't use the same tricks or tools depending if they are loners. Judging from CN he obviously fought alone and is not one to have teamwork for a ninja, Yuffie added that ninjas that work together are most dangerous and deadly in fights, reminding her that Luffy is facing some of those ninja alone. For CN he is thinking of ways to get around her fighting style, for an outsiders she is no doubt an very well discipline and trained hand to hand fighter. He'll have to resort to tricky and deception like all ninjas if he's to survive the encounter.

After a brief standoff facing one another, CN is first to charge at Tifa using his small sword to try and stab Tifa while along swing at her left, right or center of her body. Fortunate enough CN isn't able to hit Tifa with one of his blows, yet at the same time is struck by her fist when he couldn't block with his sword or hand. This cause some problems as he couldn't land one blow, yet this was expected of her since Tifa has proven to be more a melee fighter then most of her friends. Having enough, CN step back and jump away far enough to throw his shurikens at her, but then also throw smoke bombs in the mix. With Tifa distract by his first attack, she is blind sided by his smoke bombs he place ahead of time. Now she couldn't see, he then quickly place some items like tags on the ground surrounding Tifa. When the smoke clear she didn't have time to react as bombs exploded around her. Yet with quick thinking she jump back on the outside as CN saw her surviving this attack. When he jump over he wasn't ready for her hardest punch towards his face. This made his head flung back yet his body slide underneath on the side. She then activated her limit break and rushed him just as he got up. She first started with Beat rush then moved on to her somersault as her final attack. Unable to keep up he teleport using the dark portals to escape from her.

"Tifa!" Luffy shouted after finishing the Invisible Red that took lots of effort, he had some hard time finding her, "You beat him?" He asked.

"No, he got away. We should keep going." Tifa said taking one last glance at where he last disappeared.

"Right, let's go." Since the plan involved them trying to fight those controlling the Heartless, they assume that Specter maybe behind this not realizing he is being used. So they are to defeat Crimson Ninja and work their way towards Specter's place. But with Crimson Ninja still on the loose, it's a matter of time before they run into him once more.

And now we are at the final stretch of finally getting this world done. With this the next world is both worlds at the same time, Crash Bandicoot and Spyro the Dragon working together along with the Straw Hats and Committee. Now that all the chapters are rewritten the next ones are updates from here on out. With the story arc ending, there will be at least 2 more chapters ahead.
