Alright new update coming up, now that we are working our way towards the next arc after finally making through the chapters. Last time it was pure actions, and we are finally done with this world. For the most part when working on this story I have been lazy most of the time, but these recent times have been trying for more motivation or ways to keep active instead of doing nothing. These recent times really have change us for better or worse. For anyone interest in other stories try the Traveler's Journey.

Chapter 16: City of Apes Ninja-Monkey Showdown II
Another location - Sanji, Cloud and Merlin
After another hard battle, the trio of fighter, swordsman and wizard took this period of rest. Knowing this was only the beginning of their fights.
"You did out there." Sanji comment towards Cloud who is sitting on a rock, Sanji is currently smoking as he stood on watch while Merlin sat on another rock.
"I man one of the best fighters." Cloud simply replied.
"If you weren't a swordsman, you would be higher then that crappy moss head we have on the crew." Sanji said.
"Don't think I will take your insults so easily as your swordsman, I won't tolerate your attitude when we're suppose to be fighting." Cloud warned only for Sanji to Smirk and say, "Whatever you say Goldispike." The term for Goldilocks and spike mix together to say about Cloud. This made him pissed off as a small tick mark appear on his forehead.
"I think now I understand why Zoro wants to kill you." Cloud couldn't help but want to start a fight here and now. At the same Time Merlin is watching the two almost bicker as he couldn't help sweat drop at this scene.
"Somehow on this adventure we're going to see many shenanigans along the way." Merlin said to himself wondering if this is how Straw Hats remain sane or insane.
Monkey Base - Monkey's to battle
As the battle progress, some of the Monkey's tried their best to help the Monkey Hunters, Straw Hats Pirates and Committee in their endeavor to stop Specter and his new army of darkness. As this went on some of the people are beginning to tire out from fighting. The people resting are Jimmy, Pipotchi, Yuna, Kei, Helga, and Pipo-Snake are resting from the fights they had to endure. Others like The Professor, Aki and Natalie are trying to look out for more locations that are filled with heartless, the Monkeys are providing much help thanks to their efforts, both for motivation for saving Specter and to right their wrongs as they are beginning to finally see eye to eye about what they done over the years. Fortunately they have Cloud, Sanji and Merlin on their side to cover for most of the hard places to fight. Archimedes is best suited for here watching as more are starting to show up on their radar.
"There is another one." Archimedes told the others.
"Oh great, just what we need more trouble." Natalie said somewhat recovered her strength.
"How are they appearing this fast? It's almost like something is drawing them here." Aki observed the actions of the heartless.
"But Zoro using the keyblade should have stop them from appearing, isn't that what sealing the keyholes prevents them from arriving?" The Professor stated.
"It should, unfortunately we only know them from experience and their behaviors from many times we and those past us fought them. Another way for them to appear is that someone with strong ties to darkness is drawing them to this world. While it should be impossible for them to swallow this world into darkness, I fear that's what's happening, if anything I think Specter might actually be trying to summon heartless to convert everyone into dark beings." Archimedes theorized.
"Specter wouldn't do this, he just wants to free the monkeys, why should that have change?" Natalie asked.
"The Darkness." They look towards The Professor, "While I have my doubts about magic, I cannot deny the effects of these supernatural powers at work, but to think the darkness is changing not only his personality, but also his beliefs and understandings. This world is truly doom if we don't do something about this problem." The Professor point out, but just as he said this Casi called them.
Guys you have to help, the lab is being attack again, and I think they mean business. Please hurry!
"Oh no, I'll contact the others." Aki was about to do this when The Professor shouted, "Wait... we have more people to help." Turning towards the monkeys, he never though he'll have to resort to this. The Professor then asked some of the monkeys to teleported themselves over towards his lab to make sure the lab is okay. Once Casi gave the okay few of them went over to help defend his lab.
"Your sure about this?" Natalie asked The Professor who look both concern yet somehow confident.
"To be frank, with everything that has happen I can honestly say this be a bad idea. But because we are in this together I have to place my trust they will not destroy the Lab as they had before. And with our other friends around the world, I can say we need all the help we can get." The Professor said, while he had some trust with monkeys, committee and pirates, they can only hope they stop Specter in time before he tries something much worse.
Moon Base - Specter Throne Room
While Specter is trying to consume the world into darkness, he also watch the fights that are going on in his moon base. At the same time other locations like The Professor's Lab, Sunny Go, and Monkey base are being attacked by the heartless that seems to have no ending. As he watch this fight take place, his darkness is increasing without stop. Yet still is able to control it like his dark powers are place in check.
"It seems I might have to move up my plans." Specter said, watching Chopper and Spike rush towards his direction. He then used his mind powers to reroute their destination by sealing the doors and left the Throne Room towards his personal creation he plans on using on them. Suddenly Crimson Ninja appeared behind Specter, looking over him as the two soon face each other.
"Crimson, so good to see you." Specter smirk with darkness pouring out of him.
"Specter... you have grown." Crimson comment about his powers developing the way it should in his eyes.
"Well I can't help but feel this darkness is overwhelming. So long as I have control of it with my intellect I can do whatever I want, but first I do plan on destroying those intruders and the outsiders for ruining our plans. That so call chimp and Spike are on there way here, but I will deal with them." While Specter may think he can handle the darkness, Crimson knows better and will soon see him turned into an heartless monkey. Specter floats away thinking to himself, while Crimson stares at the machine having some of his own ideas.
The Professor's Lab - Defending the Lab
When everyone could see the heartless approach the lab, they went on defense before the Heartless could do too much damage to this place. Nami, Yuffie, Robin, Aerith, Cid, and Casi are now making sure the Heartless don't cause further damage as they need this teleportation device to bring everyone back. The people currently up at the moon station are Luffy, Tifa, Chopper, Spike and others like Specter and Jake if they can help them. Normally for those like Nami, she would not partake in these fights. But with many adventures through islands and now to worlds, she will be fighting not by herself but with others as well.
The Heartless showed multiple enemies of different shapes and sizes of this world, as Aerith used her strong magic along with both Nami and Robin supporting each other to stop them. They are able to wipe out multiple enemies at once when working together on large groups they face. Aerith providing the magic as Nami provided with unexpected weather the heartless can't understand, and Robin would sometime take out heartless from behind or unexpected attacks. Her limbs appearing does the trick on them easily, while Heartless will have no bones or body they still can be destroyed or hurt by other means.
"How are they still going?" Nami asked keeping her distance as much as possible, but not too far from the other two.
"Heartless are known to appear in numerous numbers, if anything so long as Specter is dragging them here we can't let our guards down for one moment." Aerith manage to help Cid and Yuffie when their guard is lowered while Nami covered for Aerith while Robin made sure the two are kept from harm.
"As much as I enjoy getting rich from these weird monsters, I rather not have to place myself in this situation all the time." Nami grip about how she is earning for quick rich deal.
"Isn't this what you always wanted?" Robin asked smirking.
"THIS ISN'T MY IDEA OF GETTING RICH, I WOULD HAVE BEEN SEEKING TREASURE INSTEAD OF DOING THIS." Nami shouted.
"Keep focus, once Specter and that Heartless is defeated we should be in the clear." Aerith stated.
"Well hopefully Specter nor Crimson Ninja are the tricky types, cause Luffy doesn't do well against them and we could be at this for sometime." Nami told Aerith, while she had faith in her captain, it was certain people that would use tricky is when they should be worried for him and what he'll face.
For Cid and Yuffie, the two stick towards the computer so that Casi wouldn't be hurt or some of her inner workings isn't damage. What Casi is trying to do are installing some program by both him and Merlin so that the security system would keep the heartless out or at least keep them safe for the time being. As this was happen, Cid and Yuffie are able to destroy some of these heartless with ease. But at the same time had stay close because of how many are appearing.
"How much longer Cid?" Yuffie asked slashing one heartless.
"Just give Casi some time, the program that we use at Radiant Gardens isn't something that can be brushed through easily." Cid stab and smack two more heartless that came close to him, "The last time I tried to rush it the entire system shut down and lost every data, program, history stored in it. If Casi rushes the program I don't know what will happen to her." Cid had swatted or destroyed more heartless as he tells Yuffie the specific details of this program.
"Somehow I believe that." Yuffie had to jump over one and kick that heartless while slicing another two, "Merlin did say he place some of his magic in your programs, guess they are extremely effective aren't they?" Yuffie comment, as she jumps away from from almost being hit.
"Yeah well, that old coot knows his stuff, better not tell him that." Cid said. Just as things were getting worse, help arrive with Monkeys starting to appear and attack the Heartless from moving forward both inside and outside.
"Looks like backup arrived." Cid said in awe at the Monkeys pushing them back.
I manage to call the others, they could lend some help but that's all they could do until we could get this program up and ready.
"How much longer?" Yuffie asked.
Just about and... NOW!"
Soon orbs appeared on ground and air, many of them are spheres that digital themselves into reality. The program that is used came from combination of Cid's skill on technology and Merlin's magical knowledge. The two together created one powerful program that effects not only enemies, but also magical types as well like the heartless. Soon the spheres did their work as the lab is cleared out, only those outside are still around that needs taken care of. When everyone gathered together Aerith used her healing magic on them to recover their strength.
"That should hold them back." Cid assured everyone.
"What happens if a big heartless appears?" Robin asked.
"Well then we wouldn't need the security program, even if I had the technology those bigger heartless are almost impossible to destroy. Which is why having some strong guys to those big ones, if that happens then we would need to fight it ourselves. But since the heartless aren't that strong we can only wait until the others finish their fights." Cid explained, Nami appear nervous only because this is something different, yet compare to the dangers from her world so far it wasn't that bad. But if Luffy and the others don't defeat that heartless and specter soon, they maybe in trouble.
Moon Base - Tifa, Luffy, Chopper and Spike
After they had defeated Jake, they had to carry him while they went off searching for Specter. Hoping they would at least find him before he would cause more harm to the world. Along the way Spike had some thoughts about what he has to do and how he should handle this battle. Normally he would have no problems using the gadgets on monkeys because they aren't trying to kill them, but his new upgraded weapons... he's not so sure. After reaching what appears to be some giant hanger bay, the two stop for a moment to rest, yet their concerns have either increase or decrease through this trip.
"This doesn't feel right, Specter isn't usually this way. Sure he wants to conquer the world, but is never trying to kill his own kind or everyone at once." Spike said increasingly worried for Specter.
"If this was a normal disease, I could have found a cure for him. But since this is something that isn't normal, all we can do is prevent him from becoming a heartless." Chopper said knowing this darkness is bad news if they don't take care of this immediately. Entering another room they soon see what can possibly a giant gorilla robot. But what they notice is the features that can be seen on the back carrying a jetpack of some sorts. The first of this robot had some strange barrel on the forearm in a cylinder shape, the same is said for the shin with the same shape above the feet. Everything about it had no weapons except a humanoid like appearance.
"Looks like Specter has been busy as of late." Spike awed at the monstrous machine.
"You mean he builds this stuff along with his monkey friends." Chopper asked, Spike nodded knowing how many times Specter use robots to fulfill his world conquering quest.
"He usually does this before our big fight." Spike informed. As the two stared at the machine Luffy and Tifa soon arrive at the same time.
"Chopper, Spike." Luffy shouted glad they are safe.
"Luffy!" Chopper slowly place Jake down and happily turn to face Luffy smiling at the two.
"Looks like you guys made it out." Tifa then notice Jake is with them, "And your friend seems okay."
"I don't know if he's free from the darkness. We did beat him but he just been unconscious for the whole trip." Chopper explained.
"Not for long." Specter said slowly descending towards them on his chair, looking smug as his appearance seems to darken with every moment.
"SPECTER!" Everyone shouted.
"Got to say, you outsides have cost me too much after putting efforts to my plans. And I was certain you be destroyed, but then again I should have expected this much. So instead I will finish you off while my buddy deals with your friends down below." With one snap Specter summoned powerwild all around them.
"I had hope you would have surrender and gave in to darkness, but I guess that wasn't going to happen. If anything you lot should have just given in and become one of us." Specter started to monologue but this only angered Chopper as he face him.
"Don't you see what has happen?" Chopper shouted gaining his attention, "Look at yourself, you used to fight for all monkey kind. While we don't agree with your methods, at least you cared enough to look after your friends. But then you... you changed. The Darkness has not only harden your heart, but you now kill your fellow monkeys, don't you see what has happen! You may have noble reasons, but now your just a monster like those humans you hated so much." Chopper angrily said to Specter, he said nothing to him for sometime with his eyes hidden. But then started to smirk, changing to full sinister grin as he shortly laugh at Chopper.
"That's rich, coming from some chimp who believes he's better since being friends with humans." Specter argued.
"I'm not blind that there are bad humans, but at least I understand there are good one's out in the world. You only wanted to see humans be bad because of how your life was without that helmet. But now you only see what you like and not what it's front of you. If this was a common cold I could offer you medicine, but this is something you have to come terms." Chopper then dodge as Specter threw what appeared to be some dark sphere at Chopper. Everyone that was in the way has either step back or wasn't there.
"Words don't exactly say much about one's self, but if what you say is true, then you have no problem proving it." Specter challenge, soon darkness engulf his body and started to throw spheres at Chopper, changing into heavy point so that Specter doesn't hit him. At the same time Luffy and Tifa went off to fight the heartless while also protecting Jake.
"We should help." Tifa was about to move when Luffy told Tifa,"No." Tifa stop for a moment to look at Luffy as he punch and kick other heartless, "This is there fight." Luffy said almost ordering Tifa to let them handle this for themselves. When one heartless tried to attack Tifa, she dodge it and decide to help Luffy fight them off.
"Alright, but if things go south, we help them." Tifa compromise for the time being.
Spike tried to attack him but is stop by an dark hand appearing underneath him. Chopper seeing this tries to help Spike only for Specter to grab him as well.
"Thought you two would be enough to stop me?" Specter mock, only for Chopper to change his size once more into his small form and quickly moved to his reindeer form to charge at Specter. Once he was close enough he tried to punch Specter with a tackle, but is block by Specter's shield.
"Not good enough." Specter shouted, but then realizes Spike escape since he lost concentration. But force himself to block from Spike's slingshot, before he wouldn't used the weapons as much because of how they were useless against the darkness, that and he was told before hand that these weapons are new upgraded versions of his own gear, however because of there situation he has to at least try.
"What's wrong Spike, weren't you going to use these gadgets on me and my heartless?" Specter mocked Spike.
"Normally I had no problem with using the Professor's gadgets on the monkeys and heartless. But these new one's are upgraded to the point they could kill someone, which is why I hope to avoid using this against you. I honestly don't know about these heartless or how it will effect them knowing they were once people. Worse is most of them that came to help are destroying these dark creatures, but if it means I could at least stop you... then I will fight." Spike shot another at Specter, he then dodge roll out of the Dark hand's grasp. Chopper used that moment to smash Specter's face giving him more then 3 punches then tried to hold him down. But that only enrage Specter as he blasted Chopper up pushing him back away from him. Spike would change his weapon to his stun club charging at him. Specter saw this and launch at least three orbs at Spike, all three are deflected only for Specter to float up and fire his dark sphere from above. This almost hit Spike if he didn't defend himself, yet the blast is enough to harm him.
Chopper tried to quickly get up, but he felt himself hurt. Looking at the rumble ball in his pocket he would have to used this again, "I have to end this quickly, if I don't then I can't stop Specter and the heartless from taking everyone's heart. I only got one chance, if I don't do this then we won't win this. Luffy always tries his best to fight many of these guys on his own, and we need to do the same for him." With resolve Chopper bit into the rumble ball and change into his jump point.
Spike tried to attack once more, only to fail once again as Specter has proven he's much stronger then before. Spike change tactics to his Magic Punch, but had to roll out of the way in time as dark hand came from underneath, but is then struck by Specter's energy blast. Chopper rushed in on time changing forms into his arm point. But is then grab by Specter's dark hand move.
"You never learn, I... can't... be... DEFEATED!" Specter used the Darkness to personally control the dark hand. As Chopper is squeezed tightly, he then changes his form into Guard Point. This surprise Specter as he didn't realize that Spike shot another slingshot at him, this time hitting it's mark.
"Chopper now!" Spike shouted, Chopper change into his Arm point once more and struck.
Carving Hoof Cherry Blossom
With great force Specter felt extreme pain from Chopper that he almost went unconscious. But has he tried to regain himself Spike charge in with his most hated weapon for all Monkey kind, "Specter... this is for your own Good!" Spike capture Specter tangling him in the nets until he would disappear and transported back to the world. Yet this time a dark blast force everyone back away, then a dark version of Specter tried to escape only to vanish into dust as it slowly consume with no powers to preserve itself. This had effect on around the world and the moon base as they are soon vanishing into dust. But this resulted in Spike's own net being destroyed as Specter is still around laying unconscious with the darkness taken away from him, this also effected Jake as his heart was filled by his dark powers controlling him. What even surprise them is how Specter helmet shattered and turned into dust.
Everyone that was near got up as the blast was unexpected.
"What was that?" Luffy question.
"The Darkness." Tifa answered, "Specter's own darkness almost consumed him, to think it was this bad because he gave in and somehow controlled this power for long."
"Specter." Spike could only mutter in disbelief at how Specter could have been dead if he gave in for too long. Chopper went over to check his pulse to see if he's okay, if a confirmation Chopper told the others, "He's alright, just beaten bad pretty bad." Suddenly everyone is alerted to Specter grunting, they gathered to see if Specter is alright after what he experience.
"Wha-What happen?" Specter asked, Spike jaw drop at Specter talking and how he kept asking questions.
"What's wrong?" Luffy asked.
"He... H-he's talking." Spike slowly said, "Like... actually talking. He shouldn't be able to since the Pipo helmet is destroyed." Spike explained in awe at this development.
"He must have develop some kind of ability when using the darkness, once it was removed he must have some of it's effects inside his heart. Maybe what we are seeing is his true desire after so long without any thoughts or voice for his own." Tifa theorized.
"Makes sense, but we have to make sure these two are taken care of." Chopper said as they had both Jake and Specter sitting next to each other resting. But then suddenly the place started to shake as the giant robot is starting to move. This surprise everyone not realizing they have faced the prologue to the final boss.
Sunny Go - Battle at sea
Everyone had a breather after fighting so many of these heartless. Franky is able to guide the Sunny away from danger along with Usopp to cover everyone's back along with Gullwing(Yuna, Rikka, and Paine), while people like Zoro Leon, and Auron felt some exhaustion from the fight. For Zoro it was the matter of fighting different enemies that are monsters instead of people, this combine with their unnatural powers from darkness has left him felt weak in face of an challenge, inwardly he would train himself to endure long fights so this doesn't happen again. For Leon and Auron it's more on personal embarrassment as they felt out of shape from these fights. They have fought heartless before and never felt this tried, the fact they need to rework themselves to proper form shows their standing in these battles.
"Haven't had to fight this many so quickly." Zoro muttered to himself, while using his new keyblade for this world he had to figure it's power so that he could use it properly. Knowing they are swords with magical powers, he would have to train harder then before.
"At least you don't feel out of shape, I haven't had to use this much energy since for long time now." Auron said between breaths.
"We need to start exploring world's again. Feel like we haven't had a proper battle for sometime, but since we are trying to get back we might as well get some practice." Leon suggested, as they are taking this moment some of them wondered what is happening around the world and if their friends are doing okay.
Alright next chapter is the battle against Crimson Ninja and the new mecha robot Specter has been working on for sometime.
