The story is written from the perspective of a diary and from herself on her life in a very different future.

Note: Mare named her after her sister Gisa Barrow. Gisa Calore is a similar version of Mare but she's a bit taller than her mother. She is also considered to be prettier than her mother in the eyes of the Silver court having inherited some of her Maven's facial features.
