Life is Strange True Colours

My first Life is Strange True Colours story, a short little oneshot featuring what fast became my favourite couple in the game, set in a festive time of year, certainly fitting for it being posted today, hope you enjoy it.

Disclaimer: I don't own Life is Strange True Colours or its characters.

A Merry Time of Year

The sight of Haven Springs covered in snow was a beautiful one, especially from the window of her apartment, so thought Alex Chen as she stood for a moment, looking out at the sight. She checked the time on her phone and her smile widened a little.

'Shouldn't be long till Steph finishes, then she'll be here.' She noted.

She looked around her apartment, all done up as best as possible for the festive time, right down to moderately sized Christmas tree in the corner. Alex carefully checked around the apartment and made sure any last minute tidying up was already done. She also made preparations for when Steph would make it back, knowing exactly what she'd need after getting home. Beautiful though the sight was, Alex knew it would be bitterly cold outside after all. Brushing off her jeans and adjusting her glasses, Alex smirked as she picked up the last thing she needed and pulled it on. A novelty reindeer Christmas sweater.

'What is Christmas after all without the traditional ugly Christmas sweater...although this one isn't actually that bad.' She thought to herself with a laugh.

She did one last check, making sure she had everything sorted out that she needed to sort out and turned to face the door just as it opened. Her grin widening.

Entering the apartment, Steph huffed and pulled her beanie off, shaking out her snow flecked hair. She smirked when she spotted Alex waiting.

"Well hey there, beautiful." She greeted her girlfriend.

Alex flushed slightly, still not used to being referred to that way. "Hey yourself, how was work?"

Steph shrugged as she finished removing her coat, boots and gloves, as well as her scarf.

"Ah, you know...same as always, only with a bit more eagerness for certain songs." Steph explained.

Alex laughed. "Yeah, I heard. You certainly seemed to enjoy it."

She nodded to the radio in the corner before handing Steph her mug of tea, taking her own as they both sat down on the sofa.

Taking a grateful sip, Steph shrugged. "Yeah, still...I'd much rather have been here, with you."

"Oh Steph." Alex mumbled.

It always made Steph smile seeing that, despite having been together for a while now, Alex was still so shy around her, it was really quite endearing. Alex meanwhile, taking a sip from her own mug, took some small delight in noting that Steph seemed to have the same views as her on cheesy Christmas sweaters, at least if her snowflake printed one was anything to go by. After a pause Steph smiled and raised her mug.

"Well, here's to us sharing our first Christmas as a couple together."

Alex did the same and after taking another sip, picked up the nearby remote. "Funny you mention that, I had an idea."
Steph tilted her head confused but then her eyes widened as Alex pressed the button, turning on the music before standing up and offering her hand to Steph.

"Would you care to dance?"

Setting her own mug down, Steph grinned. "Would I ever, Chen."

Standing up and taking Alex's hand Steph joined her in the middle of the room as they gently held each other and swayed to the music, lost in each other's eyes, certainly enjoying the magic of Christmas in this one, wonderful, moment.

End of the oneshot, hope you enjoyed it, read and review please.
