Chapter 23: Spiral Madness - Preparation

Cortex Lair - Cortex office

As the villains of this world are being gathered thanks to Cortex new alliance, and their new armies of dark creatures. Cortex has been working on experiments with these new creatures, for sometime he has been relying on allies that should have won, but are defeated by some weird creature Crash. But now he his newest plans will not fail as this time he will not only have the most powerful army, but also rid of the inorganic problem he has dealt with mutant henchmen, they don't always follow through with the plan. That is why this time things will be different and this time Cortex believes will finally triumph.

While Cortex is personally with his lab assistants working on their newest scheme in what appears to be some assembly line. Nefarious is watching from what appears to be Cortex's office, but now is used by Nefarious. Watching as he creates metal monstrosity for his scheme, but before he could continue with his thoughts. O'Malley appeared walking to Nefarious.

"You seem to enjoy yourself." O'Malley comment.

"Yes, I do. In fact for once after so long, I feel something has change. Not in a way of stopping galaxy conquest, but for once things might go my way-no, our way for once. I always had that Captain Qwark, always interfering with my plans. Then it change to someone more competent and dangerous named Ratchet along with that traitorous robot Clank. Back then things were simple, but then coming to this new galaxy. Can't help feel more opportunity is ahead, no sense of heroes to stop me, no worries of anyone trying to protect this galaxy. For once, everything I had dreamed and everything that will become ours will finally be in our grasp." Nefarious wonder off in his minds while speaking of his dreams and achievements he wants to obtain.

"Well don't forget, we didn't join you because we can become machines. Pete and Zim are organic people, so trying to convert them into machines we'll have to stab them behind their backs if that happens." O'Malley reminded Nefarious.

"That won't be necessary, if anything what we need is more coordinated teamwork for this to work. Right now thanks to Pete using the heartless, we can focus on using our allies army to do the work for us. In this way we will not only save ourselves work, but take some of their metal supplies as we're doing on others worlds, if those incompetent rabbids would do their job right." Nefarious felt a migraine coming thanks to those annoying rabbids.

"Where are they now exactly?" O'Malley asked, Nefarious grinned and answered, "Ripto wanted some of our asset, so..." Nefarious started to chuckle while O'Malley full blown laugh realizing what he did, "Oh your evil."

"We both are evil." Nefarious comment. After they finally settled down straight to business, "So tell me about Pete and Zim's progress on our supplies?" Nefarious asked.

"From what I have gathered, they have gathered all the necessary parts. But from what Zim has informed, we need more then just parts taken from Cortex's lair, we may need this world too." O'Malley informed, Nefarious realize he might have been hasty on his plans, but if they are going all out they will have to make due with allies they can gather.

"Very well, it may seem we will have to take chances. If our plans truly must succeed then this world and anyone that oppose us must be destroyed, O'Malley prepare for our newest weapons of mass destruction, That headless robot has somehow created a robotic army that will benefit us greatly, I want you to take them and search for those crystals I have heard so much about, and bring me those gems. They will be much useful to our plans, and bring back our allies to this world. Since Ripto has been using more of our heartless armada on his world then this one. It's best we watch over our operation as united then divided." With Nefarious Command, O'Malley went off to work on his next projects. Nefarious turned around to watch as Cortex made improvements to his mutate henchmen. When pitching the idea of using mechanical enhancement for his henchmen and army, Cortex wasn't sure at first since most of his machines weren't that great. But thanks to his allies top mechanics from Lopez 3, they had made better progress in their operation and have successfully created an army that will match any mutate animals of this world and others.

Coco's Lab

After some calculation from the smart genius of Cid, Franky, Coco and their wizard Merlin. They concluded that the amount of gems they would require at least 424 Gems required for their travel towards Spyro's world. Merlin used some magic to located Spyro's world and from his understand of travel concluded will take much power to venture towards another world. When asking if Aku Aku could have taken them, he admits the power required would be much too great, plus him surviving along with Spyro and Sparx was actually an fluke meaning they could have died out of their 50/50 chance of surviving the realm of darkness. While the Colorless gems will be easy to gather of 394 of them, the color gems will be much difficult. Scattering around not just islands, but around this world as well.

"So our best bet is to gather these gems in order to traverse to other worlds?" Leon questioned, while not the science guy he understood that traveling to other worlds is not as simple as make portals and your there somehow.

"Well it's hard to say, but from Aku Aku's words this should do the trick. But I don't know if this would be enough, considering we are talking about traversing one world to another through technological methods, even with magic you have to be accurate about where your going and location your heading." Cid explained. While most of the committee is discussing the issues and what they need to do next. The Straw Hats are looking around amazed by Coco's own lab and how she built all of this stuff. Even Sanji's perverted nature is in awe by Coco's work of achievement. Spyro and Sparx are also looking around as they have never seen this much technology before in their lives, Crash is also playing with them as he and Luffy would get into all sorts of trouble.

"Cid is right, even though I travel to different worlds, the amount of magic to achieve this is beyond my abilities. While I could transport perhaps few people to another world, it would not guarantee there enough power to do that second time around. Plus we would be going in blindly if others have not been to another world before." Merlin agreed with Cid's point, even if they had different views with science verse magic, that doesn't mean they aren't friends and work together in times of difficulty.

"Still to have this many gems, will it work?" Leon asked with uncertainly, as he's rightfully so since traveling from world to world in logical sense is like trying to jump the grand canyon with only human strength. Which is why this has to be done right or else they will fall into abyss. It was after this point that some of the Straw Hats came and listen to what is being discussed. The only ones not listening are Luffy, Usopp, Spyro, Sparx, Crash, Gullwing Trio and Yuffie as they felt bored listening to this stuff. Mostly because they wouldn't understand most of it or they just ignore the information.

"While I do understand your concerns and worries, believe me when I say that Cortex and Uka Uka have used the crystals and gems for this method. Although the crystals are no longer a problem, I fear this new alliance Uka Uka has involved himself and Cortex may prove to change this view. If anything I fear this alliance might draw in powers that were not meant to be unleashed." Aku Aku said concern about the darkness and what they will use it for this and every other world.

"Your right to fear the darkness, for there are those who would abuse this power will not only change, but be consume by it. I fear your band of villains from the world is not ready or will realize too late how dangerous this power can be to everyone. Although the group Metal Army is... odd I say." Merlin went to his thoughts wondering if he had heard about those people or they are brand new supervillain group traveling worlds.

"It seems more like they are new people, from what Aku Aku describe one of them is some metal man with a big head. The others like that giant with big teeth and some large cat I know don't believe is Pete." Tifa said thinking of his encounters from other keyblade wielders.

"Ah yes, Pete is someone that can be hired. While foolish, he makes up with his brute strength and command of heartless, especially now with his partner Julius. The others like those armor men of purple, brown, and red. perhaps in galaxies we haven't explore before." Merlin concluded.

"Then whoever is part of this Metal Army is no doubt dangerous, willingly to work with others like them and give their powers of darkness willfully." Cloud thought of some people he can think of are dangerous.

"In any case, we need to watch for them. We already have some people trying to take over our world lead by D'go, it wouldn't be impossible that this Metal Army is somehow created just for bunch of people trying to commit crimes around other worlds." Cid said.

"Not to interrupt your conversation, but we need to focus on the plan ahead. I get there are worlds with bigger problems then our own, but you have to remember that your on our world and as such your opinions and perspectives can be considered insensitive and misplace good intentions. But since your our guess it be rude not to help visitors to our world." Aku Aku reminded everyone in the meeting. It was at this moment, the committee realize how they are so focus on worldly problems, that they don't focus on the world they are staying.

"Oh right... wow I feel we're being insensitive even though this isn't our world." Cid said out loud feeling off place since normal they would have these discussions on Radiant Gardens, but now in other worlds feel out of place, wondering how much time they been on their own world.

"It's alright, I too would be like this as well. But we must remember even if there are other worlds and places, it doesn't do us good if we don't think of this moment and now when problems are happening." Aku Aku said with his wisdom of experience.

"So from what your saying there are at least 394 gems, along with 6 green, yellow, blue and red gems, 5 purple gems and 1 orange gem?" Aerith rephrased what Aku Aku said.

(A/N: The amount of gems is base on the games played from CB, CB2, CB3, Crash Bash, Crash Team Racing(Nitro-Fueled), CB it's about time, and one other game. Equaling to the amount of gems from the game series.)

"That is correct, which is more then enough power to traverse worlds. While traveling through the darkness may seem the method or other sources of power outside this world may work, I can assume none of you have been to Spyro's World?" Aku Aku said knowing this is true.

"That's true, but with your guidance and our tech wiz along with our wizard friend, we should have the right coordinates towards Spyro's location." Auron said.

"Then we will have to divide ourselves to different locations. No doubt the gems are somehow hidden on other parts of this world, but we need to remember that those on this world are still active and we have no ideas of their plans." Aku Aku mutter towards the end, mostly unsure what Uka Uka is truly planning, as this time he's being very careful and change of his approach.

"Then why don't we attack him first." Zoro interrupted their deep thought as the Committee realize they are behind them now.

"How much have you guys hear?" Tifa asked.

"Enough, we know that this is different and new for us, but if you plan on having us help at least allow us to hear what's being said." Nami said.

"We may not be experience and we're pirates to boot, but we will help take these guys down for our friends sake." Sanji said smoking his cigarette.

"We're in this together, and we will make sure this world and any other worlds will be saved even if there are monsters lurking in the shadows. For the great captain-" everyone then ignore Usopp's final part already used to his dramatics.

"Besides, our captain is not one to back down when helping his friends or call for adventure. This is a new experience for us, but we will do what we can do make sure our nakama is protected." Robin assures them, the committee aren't used to these types of people mostly because they have been on their own world and haven't explored that many worlds for years. But there is also the fact that because this isn't there world, they sometimes forget that caring only about worlds safety doesn't necessary mean the world safety is implied. Maybe they been out of touch and being on this adventure open their eyes some more.

"Alright, since that's settled how should we do this?" Leon asked Aku Aku and Cooc, being the two experts for the time being.

"Right now I just need some power source and we can transport to places where the gems are mostly located. The world is big so we would have to explore places most of the time. But from what I did gather some of the gems are located close to each other or somehow place in other parts outside our reach. Since Crash is usually adventuring on his own, all of us should spilt up one by one." Coco explained their plans.

"Seems simple, but what should be our first place to look?" Franky asked for more details.

"Well that's the thing, when I say we need power source, I literally mean we need more power. If anything the colored gems should do the trick, there are at least 6 green, yellow, blue and red gems, 5 purple gems and 1 orange gem. They would allows us to travel to other parts of the world much easy if we had them. Cortex in his plans would use the gems and crystal to power his machines, so for us doing the same should work as well. The only problem would be to gather all the gems from around the world." Coco said showing her findings on the screen.

"As of right now, we have only one gem we can used on the island. If we get that one, we can traverse to other places around the world." Coco explained to everyone listening.

"Hold on, you said that you guys been collecting gems, so why are they scattered around the world?" Tifa asked the question everyone is thinking.

"Because the powers behind them are too dangerous. If we had all the gems no doubt someone would evil intentions would abuse this power for selfish gain." Aku Aku answered.

"Oh that makes sense." Everyone listening replied. Nami then had an idea and called out, "Luffy!" He turned to face them as they explained his first adventure on this world.

Cortex base of operation - Factory

Meanwhile in Cortex factory, Nefarious and the others within Metal Army have gathered together in seeing what Cortex has planned. From Ripto's side things have gone smoothly as he's trying to conquer all the realms. For the time being things are exceeding as planned, with both supplies of parts and new founds of power discovered over at the Ripto's world, they are transferring them towards their secret base of operation away from their own world. One that is hidden from all prying eyes on them, but for now they are keeping their good promise to eliminate all heroes, if they underestimate them even once then all is lost to them. For now Nefarious, Lawrence, Pete, Julius, invader Zim, Gir, O'Malley, Lopez, and Red Zealot have gathered together as Cortex is ready to unleashed his newest army.

"Thank you for gathering together my friends." He speaks of not only his newest allies, but also those that have gathered for this occasion.

"Now as you have notice, we have some guess. They call themselves Metal Army, an organization dedicated to gathering the greatest of villains from many worlds and to finally dispose the pesky heroes that have foiled our plans." Cortex announce to his comrades and allies.

"YES! FEAR BEFORE US AS THE GREATEST SUPERVILLAINS OF THE GALAXY!" Invader Zim yelled.

"Charming, and exactly how do you plan on destroying our 'Hero problem' as you call it?" Dr. N Tropy questioned their competence after Zim's little stunt.

"Oh believe us Doctors, we have that covered. In fact we would like to present our demonstration of power with Lopez's newly reformed army." O'Malley gave the signal as Lopez had summoned the army from behind, what came out is something that both interest, excite, and somehow terrified them. For are robotic copies of himself as they march out for to present themselves. But what came next had scared the living day lights out of everyone, specifically the type made from UNSC model called Mantis. Lopez manage to build at least 6 of them ready and armed too the teeth.

"Introducing, the mantis class of the UNSC. I manage to stole the blue-prints while working with you morons. It was an easy steal and with this my beautiful robot army will be invincible." Lopez said in Spanish.

"I'm sorry, but did your robot head just spoke Spanish?" Cortex asked.

"Yes, yes he did." O'Malley answered.

"Do you even understand what this thing has said?" Tiny asked.

"Nope." All of the Metal Army said at once.

"But enough of that, while Lopez will be the stupid robot with an language problem, he is the most useful henchmen anyone can have." Nefarious stated.

"One of these days, I will gut your gears and place your head on your butt and butt as your head." Lopez said in Spanish.

"Well that's not annoying, anyway with your armies combine with our latest experiments. We both will benefit from each other, and since their armies are mostly machine with the exception of the dark creatures, I also made ourselves some robotic suits for ourselves." When Cortex revealed his ingenious idea, everyone awed as they are impressed with not just his world, but also work from the Metal Army as well.

"As you have notice these robots will not only be your personal giant mechs, but they will also help enhance your personalized skills as you are now." Cortex explained.

"And what better way to demonstrate this power by having a test run with our foes. I sense one of their heroes is out there collecting a gem, for what purpose I have no idea. But if this benefits them, then we must intercept them and destroy anyone that gets in our way." Uka Uka demands.

"Let me handle the bandicoot. I will destroy him and prove that Papu Papu is mighty." He said, most of the villains know that he's all hot air and nothing else, if anything they would only allow him if to be defeated easily."

"Very well Papu Papu, take your personalize mech with you. I made sure the controls are by your design that you could understand, and our allies own army as well." Cortex ordered.

"And just in case, take the heartless with you. We cannot take any chances, I have seen the forces of evil fail one to many times, I will not allow this to continue, and this time, this time we will succeed." Uka Uka Declared as Papu Papu march off towards the hero's location. Little did they know that this would be the beginning of their crazy sanity gone nuts or bonkers.

Now to the crazy madness known as Crash's world. How this will be handle is like those video games, but mostly to gave each of them their own spotlight, from here some of the chapters will be longer then before as this will have two worlds instead of one. Plus what makes this interesting is how both sides are going blind when fighting each other plans or schemes.

Profile:

Lopez 3.0 - A Replica robot base on the original design. It speaks Spanish and has all the skills and talent from the original, to the point of actually building robots with only his head. This Lopez has the sarcastic personality as the original, but has no moral value for life except for robotic kind like himself. While not understand, he can plan and scheme behind others back, yet choses not too as his programming is the same as his old model. Lopez 3.0 is not to be underestimated as he can be most dangerous when seen as weaker then others or not as intelligent due to everyone never understanding his Spanish language unless they spoke it or as their second language.

Papu Papu - One of the first enemies of Crash and Coco. On his first encounter with Crash, he simply is attacking him out of both pride, territory, and orders from Cortex former ruler of the islands. Now he simply comes and goes when needed, one of them being when racing for the fate of the world, yet only did this because it was fun or prove he's better. Papu Papu talks in third person, yet while prideful cares for his village and his people. If there was one reason for his return, it's because they are his friends.
