I was dangling by a vine from the gate in front of the compound. "Ugh will you let me down already Reiko?"
"You attacked my house!" Reiko cried. "Tell me why?"
"Uh…girls?" Aang asked.
The vine shook me. "Owwwe! Zuko couldn't come in! It was Blood—"
"Hey now—" Zuko tried.
"I know that! But you could have knocked!" The vine shook me again.
"I'm sorry!"
"HEY!" Zuko and Aang got between us. Zuko broke the vine with fire, and Aang caught me with air.
I dropped to the ground, and suddenly gripped my chest. "People…dying…unnh…" I collapsed to the ground.
Zuko caught me. "Is it because of us?"
"N-No its…Augh!"
Reiko and Aang knelt. "Breathe Kuri breathe. Let yourself see. Open your eyes…"
"Douse the suffering with Water, Purify it with Fire…and…repent…" I choked out, and then I was gone, surrendering to the darkness.
