Aruji= Lord

"Ranraran~, Ranraran~, Ranraran~, Ran~Maru~X."

Mysterious Ranmaru X walked through the white corridors of Chaldea, passing near doors that led to different directions without paying much attention to them.

After all, Ranmaru didn't know where they led, and not that it mattered much for Ranmaru's current mission.

It had only been a few weeks since the incident with Oda Nobunaga's head and the two Ryomas. Mysterious Ranmaru X was summoned from the planet Ranmaru by Mori Ranamru himself, who commissioned her to retrieve his Noble Phantasm, Oda Nobunaga's head.

Thus allowing the singularity to dissolve by making use of the grail and Nobunaga's head, thanks to the help of not only other servants, such as Takasugi's bastard, but the most important person for Ranmaru X.

Fujimaru Ritsuka, Ranmaru Lord's, as well as master.

Yes, during that incident, this Ranmaru, the only Ranmaru entitled to bear the title of Mysterious Ranmaru X, managed to fulfill the greatest wish of every Ranmaru on planet Ranmaru.

To meet the person to whom Ranamru would dedicate his life and service, until Ranmaru herself ceased to exist..

So Ranmaru walked through the corridors of Chaldea to fulfill her duties as a page.

As Ranmaru crossed a corner, in the hallway she encountered a tall, red-haired servant. Ranmaru knew him.

The Berserker, Mori Nagayoshi. Mori Ranmaru's older brother, therefore Ranmaru X's older brother in a way.

"Ohh Naritoshi, are you going to see Master?"

Ranmaru grimaced as she heard the Berseker say that name.

"Nagayoshi-sama, how many times do I have to tell you, I'm not Naritoshi, I'm Mysterious Ranmaru X!"

Ranmaru had to correct too often.

"And of course, I'll go to Aruji-sama's side."

"Well, I think he had a mission today to get some materials."

"Then Aruji-sama is not in his room."

"Understood, thank you."

"Oh, I just remembered. Chacha-sama wanted to invite you for tea later."

"But today I'm going to serve Aruji-sama..."

Ranmaru liked Chacha-sama, but her duty to Aruji-sama comes first.

"What are you talking about, Naritoshi?"

The berseker interrupted Ranmaru, with a serious expression and tone of voice he rarely used.

"He?"

"Master is invited as well, Chacha-sama would never refuse his presence."

Ranmaru smiled, seeing the berserker being so serious with such a trivial topic.

"Nagayoshi-sama only talks like that when it comes to Aruji-sama."

The mere thought that Aruji-sama could also get along with servants of the Berserker class was enough to make Ranmaru's admiration for him grow.

There wasn't a day that went by that Ranmaru didn't feel happier and happier to be able to serve him.

"Understood, I'll ask Aruji-sama if he's available. See you later, Nagayoshi-sama."

Ranmaru turned in the direction of the Rayshift room.

"Ok, tell Master that if he needs to kill someone, to call me."

As he laughed, expressing his bloodlust, the Berserker continued on his way.

Leaving the Rayshift room was Fujimaru Ritsuka with a group of servants behind him.

Once they all came out, the black-haired, blue-eyed boy spoke to the whole group.

"Good job, thank you for your effort."

"Whenever you need them, these two spears will be at your disposal, Master."

The first to respond was a handsome and gentlemanly looking man, a beauty spot on his cheekbone and messy dark hair only accentuated his beauty more. In his hands he carried two spears, one red and one gold.

"Thank you, Diarmuid."

Fujimaru thanked him with a smile, which Diarmuid reciprocated with one of his own.

"With your permission."

With a perfect bow, he strode off down the halls, probably to rest or meet his lord in life, Fionn mac Cumhail.

"Taking a mission to me, Jason, even if it wasn't of a high level, how reckless of you, Fujimaru."

A Blond man in a golden piece of armor was complaining beside the group.

The one who was now complaining about his participation in combat to him was none other than Jason of the Argonauts.

While the legends told about are not entirely true, like many myths, in definite he was someone who deserved the title of hero no matter how pathetic he looked.

"If it hadn't been Heracles, I could have been back on the Throne of Heroes, you know that?"

He said, as he patted the arm of the Greek hero at his side.

Heracles looked pleased.

Well... as long as he had a plan and someone to follow his orders, he was definitely someone he could trust.

Fujimaru could only scratch his neck with some embarrassment with what he was about to say.

"Well...the truth is...it was Medea Lily who asked me to take you on a mission."

Jason exploded upon hearing that.

"AAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!; why would she ask such a thing, does she finally want to kill me!?"

Though no plan could with his fear of the witch Medea, regardless of her version.

Fujimaru sighed in reaction and proceeded to explain what happened.

"No, not at all, she said she was worried that you were slacking off a lot and all you did from time to time was arguing with Sitonai about Heracles."

He watched as Jason tried to calm down, until he managed to pull himself together.

"That Witch, messing with my life like that. See you later, Fujimaru. Come on Heracles."

Jason started walking down the halls, hoping he wouldn't run into Medea on the way to his room.

"¡Grraauuuughhh!"

Saying goodbye to Fujimaru with a roar, Heracles followed in the footsteps of his great friend Jason.

The mage heard a great sigh beside him.

"Sorry for the inconvenience, Ritsuka."

It was a girl with long disheveled hair somewhere between blonde and green locks, animal ears on her head and a tail sticking out of her lower back.

"Don't apologize, I knew he would get like this, and yet I did it, it's what I should at least expect."

She seemed to accept his words and begin to back away.

"In that case, I'll take my leave. By the way, Ritsuka."

She stopped after a few steps.

"Yes, Atalanta?"

"May I ask a favor?"

Fujimaru was a bit confused by the situation, Atalanta was not much to ask for favors, but he had no problem with that.

"Sure, whatever it is in my ability to do."

He said it with a smile to make himself look more trustworthy.

Atalanta averted her gaze from him.

"Could you avoid... spending too much time with my alter version?"

Fujimaru instantly understood the direction of the conversation.

"Lately, she spends a lot of time in your room, and I don't find it right for you to spend too much time with her Alone."

"N-no, that's because..."

Atalanta alter, the Berserker version representing the wild side of the Greek heroine atalanta, a few days ago had complained to him that he didn't spend much time with her, so he agreed to let her sniff him and lay on his bed, with him close to her, for a couple of hours one or the other day. After all, she was a Berserker who was guided by her animal instincts, unlike her Archer version.

He tried to think of a way to explain it without being misunderstood... but fate was cruel...

He had no excuse to say.

"... I'll talk it over with her."

Atalanta nodded and started walking down the hallway without looking his way.

"See you later."

This time it was Fujimaru who sighed.

"Master... are... you... well?"

"Yes, I am, Asterios."

A deep voice caught Fujimaru's attention, making him turn around.

He was greeted by a crouching servant, with his face a little above Fujimaru's height, though in reality is almost three meters tall. His long white hair stretched down to his torso, along with a body full of scars.

His gaze was fixed on his master, waiting with clear anticipation in his eyes.

"Do you want the usual?"

Asterios nodded.

"Ok, here we go."

Fujimaru placed his hand on the Beserker's head and began to stroke it softly and gently.

Asterios closed his eyes as he enjoyed his master's soft touch and affection. Even with those black gloves on his hands, Asterios could feel the warmth of his hands.

Fujimaru stopped after a while, he could have easily spent a whole minute pampering the Berserker.

"Better?"

Asterios nodded with a smile.

"Yes... thank you... Master."

Fujimaru looked at him with a gentle smile, letting the Beserker stand up to his full height to retreat.

"Thank you, Asterios, say hello to Euryale for me."

With that, he dismissed the large berserker, who happily walked away down the white corridors of Chaldea.

The wizard did not turn to speak to whoever was behind him.

"I thank you for coming, Merlin."

"I'd like to take credit, Fujimaru-Kun, but really I'm the one who appreciates the ride, I was kind of bored."

Merlin's voice was as smooth as silk, as were his excuses and antics. It was better to have him around than to let him wreak havoc with his pranks in Chaldea if he got bored and by a quirk of fate would come across something that was of interest to him.

"Besides, you have a welcoming committee over there."

As soon as Merlin mentioned that, a voice called out for him.

"Aruji-sama!"

In front of Fujimaru, having turned a corner at the end of the hallway, was Ranmaru greeting him with a big smile.

"I see you lat-"

Fujimaru turned around to find no one. At this, he just shook his head and headed towards his Avenger class servant.

It should be impossible for Ranmaru's smile to get any bigger.

"Mysterious Ranmaru X at your service, Aruji-sama, how did the materials gathering go?"

"Perfect, though it was more of a mission to pass the time, we didn't need the materials."

Ranmaru looked at Fujimaru in confusion.

"What do you mean by that, Aruji-sama."

"There are times when what is needed is to spend time with others, just that."

Ranamaru looked at the master in confusion.

"So, Aruji-sama always tries to spend time with everyone?"

Fujimaru thought about the answer for a bit, before answering with a smile.

"I do my best, even if they socialize with other servants or staff people, I want to do my best because everyone feels comfortable here."

Fujimaru saw Ranmaru's gaze glow with happiness, even as Ranmaru had a patch over one eye.

"As expected of my Aruji-sama, to be such a good master of so many incredible servants."

"It's the least I can do."

Ranmaru looked at Fujimaru before bowing to him.

"Aruji-sama, you are full of sweat, allow me to prepare a relaxing bath for you, I will be sure to use a perfect temperature and incense."

"Thank you Ranmaru, though I think the incense thing in a little-"

He began to walk to his room as he spoke. He certainly needed a bath, incense or no incense.

Ranmaru walked beside him.

"Don't worry, as your page, it is Ranmaru's duty to fulfill all your needs."

At the mention of his needs, Fujimaru remembered how Ranmaru a few days ago cut his nails with a sword, and then collected and counted each cut nail.

He preferred to cut them himself.

"I appreciate it, but you don't have to."

"NO!"

Ranmaru stopped the walk and faced him, she was dead serious about this.

"Ranmaru has already told you, I have decided to serve you not because it is my duty. Aruji-sama, This Ranmaru wishes to serve you with the greatest effort, for the rest of Ranmaru's existence."

With such passionate words, Ritsuka had no choice but to smile and accept his fate. Not that it bothered him really.

"I know that, thank you."

Ramanru laughed as he threw out his answer.

"Besides, whoever sees my right eye has to be killed or become my lord, so you have no choice, Aruji-sama."

They both laughed at the mention of that fact and continued on their way.

Fujimaru remembered that fact perfectly, he had seen Ranmaru's eye twice.

First, as a result of an accident he saw Ranmaru's right eye, a beautiful red eye. After that Ranmaru tried to kill him, but instead they made a temporary contract, becoming Ranmaru's lord temporarily.

The second one was in Chaldea, one day Ranmaru asked him if he wanted to see Ranmaru's right eye, he accepted and after that he could see Ranmaru's biggest smile.

As Ranmaru said, he had finally become, in name and in reality, Ranmaru's lord.

"By the way Aruji-sama, Melusine-sama was outside your room yesterday. Ranmaru didn't quite understand, but she seemed upset."

Ranmaru noticed how her lord flinched at the mention of the Fairy Knight, before giving a defeated smile.

"I'll have to spend time with her later."

Ranmaru enjoyed the smile on his Aruji-sama's face.

Before noticing the black hands that began to emerge from the surface of the hallway.

"ARUJI-SAMA!"

Immediately, Ranmaru hugged Fujimaru in an attempt to pull him away from the spot, but the hands rushed out, enveloping them both.

The hands dragged them swiftly into the darkness from where hands were coming out.

They were strong, and fast doing their job, leaving them with no escape.

Everything was complete darkness after that.

And that is the prologue.

To be honest this idea came to my head very recently after retaking Re:zero. I hadn't read or know about the work in general for a while, so I don't remember all the details well, it's interesting to read it again from the beginning. And since I've also been very half in Fate lately, I came up with this.

But, the ultimate factor in creating this story was Ranmaru, I couldn't love the character more to be honest. Plus it's a lot of fun to write Ranmaru without pronouns, it's challenging and keeps me very attentive to my writing, even if it isn't very good.

I apologize also if my English is not very good, my native language is Spanish, and this is a way to practice it also in my free time, since with the university I don't have much time for other things.

In any case I hope you like the idea, and if anyone has any questions, criticisms (with respect, of course) or suggestions I would gladly accept them, without further words, thank you for your time.
