Later that day - The Livestock Tower
"Aaaaaargh!"
The pain-filled piercing cry echoed like a banshee down the barren hallways of the labyrinthian basement.
"Fucking hell!" The pygmy vixen screamed and cursed at her sisters while they tried their best to fix her up on the tower's old infirmary examination table. "That fucking smarts!"
"Well, you'll just have to bear with it, Munchkin," Fa said with a reassuring smile as she patted the bump on Lùn's snout with an ice pack. Fa's face was probably the most pleasing thing to see in this abysmal excuse for a medical room.
The tower's infirmary gave her the creeps. Well, that was an understatement. The dark ramshackle infirmary ward looked like it would feel right at home in one of those psychological horror films where a beast would wake up tied down to something and given limited and drastic options to escape. All it needed was a weird fancy angle and a disgusting green filter tint to complete the look.
A single lamp hung overhead, swinging and flickering. The creaky and busted-looking examination table they had her on had these worn leather restraints akin to what you would find on a mad scientist's operating table.
That creeping feeling of being some unwitting patient strapped down while someone operated on you was a grossly unwelcomed thought, but it was hard to shake given the tower's former role. The restraints and dried blood marks on the hard floor didn't leave much to the imagination. They all could tell what this room was likely used for in its ghastly heyday. She had a hunch it had to be one of the sources for Kyuu's bitchy disposition.
But it was the best the rabbit's pal could offer the foxes as a place to quickly patch her up. Beggars couldn't be choosers, they thought and they were a while off from their headquarters at the Den. Her sisters didn't complain too much, they were exceedingly grateful to the lanky herbivore.
"Just relax Loony," Fa said as she focused on Lùn's more minor wounds, the bruising on her face and torso. "This won't take long.'' She kept an ice pack to the mini fox's face, while Loba, the big cream and pepper-furred wolf hybrid tried to calmly tell her comforting words as she painfully kept a bunch of soaked dressings applied to one of the more serious knife wounds in her abdomen.
The rabbit having nicked her twice before she could disarm her, just barely avoiding her guts. Compared to her other fights, it was pretty light stuff. It wasn't a broken snout or a dislocated shoulder or fractured wrist, or just her whole body aching for a few weeks after getting slammed to the cage or mat over and over. It was just some bruises and two inconsequential slash wounds. They bled but Kyuu hadn't hit anything vital, all they had to do was clean them, apply pressure, and dress them. She was going to be fine. Still hurt like a bitch though.
"Been through this before. You're gonna be fine" Loba repeated, trying to stay positive as she pressed her bloody hands to her belly, making the mini vixen screech in pain.
"FuUuUuUCK!"
The big vixen stared down at her pupil with a proud and confident smile. "You are a tough little runt, ya hear me? Take the pain, you'll get through it." She said, continuing to press hard on Lùn's tender flesh. "You are a strong and fierce carnivore, even for your size. Remember that."
Lùn was exceedingly grateful to have Loba as her coach. Being part wolf and being bigger than the other girls, made her the muscle of their tight group within the Inarigumi and usually the heavy lifter of Priscilla-sama's cadre. She knew a thing or two about fighting which was why she was the Arctic fox's natural pick to get Lùn in fighting shape. She could be quite the taskmaster, brutally staying on top of her training and exercise, but Lùn knew she meant well and she owed a lot of her success at the arena to her.
"Hrrrrrrrgh!" The little fox whimpered, gritting her fangs together as she fought through the pain while also wishing they could just hurry up already.
"Fuck the pain." Loba continued to bark, pointing at her like a drill sergeant. "You are a strong carnivore! Pain is nothing to a strong carnivore!"
As encouraging as that sounded, Lùn didn't really want to hear it. Pain was fucking pain and the notion that she was some strong carnivore was really at odds with what had been eating away at her mind for the past hour.
Right now, she considered herself a hypocrite and she was keeping a dirty secret from her sisters: she really did have an attraction to Kyuu. She had spent the better part of a year utterly despising the buxom herbivore and planning to topple her reign at the Show Arena, but recently she had found that she had carnal passions for the rabbit.
She hadn't been thinking about it until she had her right next to her. The indecent lecherous thoughts just popped in her head and she acted on them!
Seriously, you want to fuck your competition even when you boast how much you fucking despise her. What the fuck is wrong with you?!
It was curious. They had no business liking each other. Their lifestyles totally went against it. They were two different species. Lùn was a carnivore and Kyuu was a herbivore. She was a predator and Kyuu was prey. They naturally had a disposition from the get-go. Lùn had been ordered to kill her initially and Kyuu was just a general bitch that scarred her face. If anything at first she just wanted to kill and devour the rabbit as was expected of her. But over the period from their first encounter to now, that line started to become blurred.
Soon it just became the desire to just beat Kyuu at her own game. Take her down, humble her, make her show respect, prove that as a rabbit she was inferior in every way.
So she trained, practiced, ate plenty of protein, bulked up, and then some, just so she could give herself more of an edge so she could compete at the arena. Just so she could have her shot at Kyuu. She even daydreamed about her vengeance as pathetic as that sounded. Months and months of mental preparation. It even got her in trouble a few times as she could get carried away.
Needless to say, Kyuu was a lure dangled in front of her like a carrot on a stick and she worked her ass off trying to catch up to her. The problem was what she did once she finally grabbed hold of the prize at the end.
That run-in they had that night just after her first heist… that certainly changed things even further.
The circumstances of that encounter had forced them to work together to survive. She had been stalked by one of the Dokugumi creeps from the robbery and he and another goon had cornered them in the store, intent on devouring her and probably the rabbit and the sheep she was with. They'd both be dead if they hadn't worked together that night.
As much as she didn't want to admit it, they made quite a team. Sure, they had help from the sheep girl as hapless as she was and a bit from her rodent accomplices, but Kyuu and her teaming up worked out perfectly. Hell, Kyuu even had faith in her to plan, though she was a complete bitch about it. Still, that little bit of respect felt so good.
Then things got weirder.
That damn kiss did this, she thought. Lùn's lips began to curl as she started to snarl lightly just thinking about it.
It had been the first time anyone had kissed her before!
"It's okay, Lùn," Fa said, affectionately patting her atop her head as she began applying petroleum jelly to her bumps and facial scrapes the rabbit had opened up.
NO, IT'S NOT, the pygmy mentally screamed back at her oblivious sister.
It had been the rabbit who had decided to get frisky. That horny... slut had suddenly jumped on her and began to sucking face right out of the fucking blue. Just like that, no warning, nor words! Their differences or bad history didn't even matter in that brief span. And the kicker was, Lùn didn't even reject it immediately. Honestly... shamefully… regrettably... She enjoyed it.
The fox visibly cringed and clenched her fists as she shook with anger.
SHE FUCKING ENJOYED IT! How was she any better?
Lùn could barely contain her rage, growling with a closed mouth. Normally such an outburst would have garnered attention, but the two other foxes merely assumed they might have touched a sensitive spot and ignored it.
The little fox eventually simmered down and just winced as she thought about the sensual feeling of their lips meeting as they sat on top of the corpse of that scale bag they had murdered together. Her already red cheeks turned an even dark tint as she blushed.
The experience had been like a stimulating flash grenade. The softer animal's touch, her embrace, the feel of their bodies becoming intertwined. It was like she had been waiting her whole life for someone to be that affectionate towards her and her mind just switched to autopilot.
Lùn was no stranger to females, having been more fond of them than males growing up, but she could never work up the courage to ask anyone out, not that anyone wanted to go out with a short mixed breed freak like her anyway. Not even Fa, who she'd known since she was six, not even she looked at her that way either, especially once it became clear the Fennec mix was going to look like her kid sister forever. For the longest, Lùn felt cursed to a life of romantic loneliness. Then the rabbit kissed her. Held her, felt her. It was such a refreshing surprise, that she was hardly prepared to resist.
They would have gone further had she not come to her senses. The rabbit must have had a few screws loose. The setup was all wrong. Kyuu had just jumped on her out of the blue. Their history screamed for vengeance and hatred and to top it off, Kyuu had been a complete and utter bitch to her the whole time. It was a no-brainer to break away and feel disgusted.
To her at the moment of time, they couldn't be together. No way. They were essentially enemies during a lull of peace. If anything it just made her violent and she clobbered the hell out of the rabbit accordingly when they got into an argument shortly after.
She could have just left it there and just had let it a fling as Fa had suggested afterwards but later after having a clear head, Lùn found herself beckoning for more. She wanted Kyuu or at least wanted more of that feeling she had given her. Rex, she was such a bloody paradox.
How could I hate someone so much, but want to be with them like that at the same time?!
On one hand, she still held such a nasty view of Kyuu. The surly rabbit did nothing but vex her. The lop had the temperament of sanding paper and she had such a punchable face. She was always just begging for someone to put her in her place. It didn't take much for her to want to beat her face in, knock her lights out. Her knuckles itched just thinking about her attitude.
But on the other hand, she did relate to the lop's attitude. Put frankly, Kyuu and her were two sides of the same coin, she found. They had a lot in common.
Both were considered small fries by the rest of the world.
Only separated by the divide of their species and their class of animal. She was a carnivore and Kyuu a herbivore. She was a small rabbit probably never taken seriously and Lùn, a Fennec fox hybrid with screwed-up generics that stunted her growth. They didn't like being looked down upon for their size, they both had fiery tempers, and both yearned to be taken seriously.
They also both enjoyed a good scrap and both were competitive. They both were combat-focused and both probably enjoyed their tenure down at the Show Arena.
Lùn loved the recognition of overcoming the odds after every fight, the roar of the crowd as each opponent's body hit the floor in defeat. The stimulation of pushing oneself to their limits, those ever so close brushes with bodily harm. That trembling she got after killing a beast much larger than herself. That shaky tingling feeling one got from just putting their body, even ones as small or fragile as theirs, on the line. Rex, it was such a kick.
Kyuu or the Psycho Rabbit as they called her down at the arena, she reckoned she had to feel the same too. Why else would she risk her life like that?
We're both just adrenaline junkies chomping at the bit for our next fix, aren't we? She mused to herself. Just two excitable lunatics. Perhaps they deserved each other?
She had to be a lunatic given how anxious she had been today, foolheartedly rushing headlong into a duel with a crazy knife-wielding bitch like Kyuu.
It was almost funny.
The second Kyuu's tanto dagger had sailed past Priscilla-sama's face in the elevator; it had been like the metaphorical ringing of a bell for Round Freaking Three. The two were almost overjoyed to finally go head to head again. Pent-up frustration to finally let loose at each other. Lùn had felt passion burning inside her erupt like a volcano.
She jumped at the chance to finally test her kukris against the lop's infamous daggers. The rabbit likewise had been itching for a rematch herself. The two conducted such a beautiful violent symphony together today. The swinging of their blades. The exchange of punches and kicks. The counters and parries. The angered grunts and panting they made as they tried to best the other. Lùn loved it.
It had been exactly what she had wanted for the longest time. Even the appearance of that freaking monster Kyuu always seemed to have up her sleeve, was just to the fox's liking. It was an utterly exhilarating high.
Her viridescent eyes widened from revelation as a depressing truth sank in. She had won. She had finally beaten Kyuu, cleanly and soundly. There had been no stoppage, no interlopers. There was no draw. After hanging in there with her, even giving her trouble, she'd knocked the rabbit on her ass. There were no excuses this time. She had even managed to overcome the rabbit's dreaded beast image trick.
She had won.
Yet I don't feel complete, she thought.
She had achieved her goal, finally. She proved she was better. Yet, despite knowing that now, it still felt hollow and empty. She thoroughly enjoyed kicking the rabbit's ass, no doubt, but she felt... incomplete with the fact of achieving her goal. It felt like the goal post had been moved further and she had farther to go.
Maybe she should have eaten her there, she thought, licking the outside of her fangs. Given finality to their rivalry? But that couldn't have been it. She didn't feel hungry or starved. She hadn't felt any regretful hunger pangs earlier when she was staring down the lop at all and not now either. In fact, she hadn't had a craving for rabbit meat in ages. It didn't have its appeal anymore.
The facts were, she had had Kyuu at her mercy back there, she could have easily finished her off, biting into her neck, tore her throat out like she usually boasted, but she didn't. Her head tilted to the side of the bed as she thought about what she had really felt. The only hunger she felt then at that flashpoint was ashamedly... lustful sexual desire.
A wave of titillating corruption just overcame her at the moment. Perhaps it was what the rabbit had felt in the store? Perhaps the rabbit was right? Perhaps she had wanted to be the one to initiate this time?
The bloodied mess she had left lying on the floor with her voluptuous form was just begging for her to pounce on her.
Lùn found the arrogant lop's figure very appealing to the eye: her large mahogany eyes, her feminine figure, her round breasts, her curvy ass, her toned limbs, her fuzzy soft cream fur, the way her long ears flowed to the side of her head like flowing locks of hair. Crazily enough she even found the bunny's fur patterns to be pleasantly exotic and unique.
She could just fantasize nuzzling her snout deep between the soft fuzzy valley of the rabbit's bountiful bosom. The feel of her soft fur at her fingertips, her delicate hands she wanted to touch, and fondling her feminine form like the lovers do in one of those racy yuri romance light novels she would read from the book store.
Drool started to trickle from her scuffed maw as she lustfully reminisced just a few hours ago.
Oh, if only they had had more time today, she thought. If only their friends hadn't found them on the floor so quickly.
Lùn could see it now. She was confident she would have had that rabbit slut wet and dripping in the palm of her hands. Lùn wouldn't have stopped until the herbivore was drenched in sweat, screaming out her name.
"Oh, Lùuun!" The rabbit would have moaned in throes of ecstasy. "Lùuuun! Uhhh. Lùn. Aaaah."
"That's right, bitch!" The fox would have said as she reduced the bunny to a whimpering mess. "That's my fucking name! You'll remember it now, huh?!"
"Mhmm!"
"What's my fucking name then?!" She would have demanded; a sinister toothy grin across her face as she would have ripped another energy-sapping orgasm out of the herbivore.
"Lùuun!" The floppy-eared rabbit would have cried. The vixen would have licked her lips as she relished in her conquest. "Say it again slut!"
Lùuun!
"Lùn! Lùn are you feeling alright?" A different more urgent voice removed the fox from her saucy fiction.
"Huh?" The Fennec mix asked, eyes wide as the hot and steamy fantasy faded into the reality of the cold and dreary infirmary. She looked up and saw the long darkened eyes of her sister Fa, gazing down at her. The rustic Bat-Ear looked concerned and perplexed as to just what was wrong with her little sister.
The little fox was slack-jawed, with no words to explain, her tongue drooped from her mouth like she had been in the hot sun for too long. She felt exhausted, perhaps having lost more blood than initially thought and her qipao outfit clung tightly to her body, her fur was heavily drenched from excess perspiration. She even felt a wet sensation down between her- on second thought, she didn't want to think about that.
Freaking out, she panicked, her eyes darting around. She looked at both of her clan sisters, hoping and praying they hadn't caught her having one of those lucidly daydreams again like on the train a few weeks ago. That probably was the case, however.
Fa placed her hand on the little vixen's head and frowned as it felt exceedingly warm to the touch. "Your temp is burning up, you feel like you have a fever."
The bruised Fennec mix tried to speak but botched her words. "Um…I'm...-" She stammered and winced as she embarrassingly tried to dismiss those ridiculously deviant thoughts from her mind.
God, I am such a perv!
And who was she kidding? The palm of her hands? What delusions of grandeur had she ventured into with perverse machinations such as that?! Like she'd ever fucked anyone before. Like she could just become some master of eroticism on her first try. She was lucky to even get that far with Kyuu.
The dark-faced vixen's gaze went over to the wolf hybrid at the other end of the table who was more focused on wrapping Lùn's waist.
"You don't think she's caught an infection do you, Loba?" Fa asked the reserved wolf fox.
"No, I don't think it's that bad," Loba replied with an optimistic tone. "Not much was in her wounds for us to be worried about. We cleaned them out pretty good. Shouldn't have to worry about sepsis."
"Right," Fa said, stroking her chin, thinking. "The rabbit nicked her just at the waist there, she's lucky her guts are fine."
"It'd have been a bigger deal if she got stabbed, those are much worse than cuts."
Fa stroked her chin as she began to ponder. "She did lose quite a bit of blood though. You thinking a pressure drop or maybe shock?"
"I'm ain't a doctor Fa," Lobe said, annoyed. "I can only just go off personal experience. I've seen many beasts go into shock before, I've never seen any of 'em act like this."
"Hmmm." Fa's eyes quickly narrowed at the pygmy.
They had noticed! Lùn quickly covered her face as her snout turned an even darker shade of red.
"Maybe something psychoactive?" Loba suggested. "I wouldn't put it past the rabbit to use dirty tricks like coating her blades."
The sound of such foul play shocked the Bat-eared fox, who quickly turned back towards her diminutive sister. "Lùn, look at me, are you feeling anything bad… like does your heart feel like it's beating too fast?"
"Poison?" The pygmy nervously chuckled as she quickly denied any ill effects. Her tall ears dropped to the side of her head as she slouched with her hands at her waist.
The only thing the rabbit had done to her that made her sick to her stomach was inadvertently saddling her with this guilt and shame. That made her stomach ache. It felt like it would probably last forever if she kept this a secret.
"Are you sure you're fine?" Loba asked, tilting her head at her noticing how pale she was becoming. " Are you feeling any discomfort?"
"No, I… um," Lùn started still trying to hide how she really felt.
Loba cupped her muzzle, scratching at the scruff of fur around her chin.
"Um.. how about we cancel training for a few days huh? How does that sound?" She offered, "At least till you feel up to it, you know? Enjoy your victory. You finally knocked ol' long ears out, that's a call for a celebration." She smiled warmly at the pygmy, feeling proud as she threw a few mock punches.
Fa patted Lùn on the head, mussing her fur playfully. "Yeah, a day off from training ought to sound good. It's clear it paid off." She said. Lùn could hear the pride for her in the Bat-ear's voice. Fa, she felt has always been hesitant with her choice to fight or risk her life, but she was always caring and supportive of her. "Maybe we can go shopping for once. We haven't done that in forever."
Lùn just hung her head dejected. She didn't want to hide this anymore. It just was going to make her feel terrible.
She felt Loba place her giant hand on her shoulder.
"S'matter?" The wox asked. "I would have thought a day off would be a welcome luxury for you, Shortstuff. C'mon put a smile on."
"Yeah, something the matter Lùn?" Fa too asked, standing next to Loba, bending over to study her little sis. "I'm just going to be honest… you've been giving me a pretty bad vibe. You've been acting out for the past hour and I feel like I've just been going along with it, expecting you to finally tell me."
Fuck it, the pygmy angrily thought. Maybe it was worth the gamble. She raised her head one more time and looked at the fox she'd known since childhood, the very reason she'd even joined the Inarigumi and just swallowed her pride.
"Lùn?" The Bat-eared fox asked again, sensing hesitation.
"Fa." The Lùn muttered. "I got something to say."
Fa's ears perked up, eager to hear what was wrong with her little sis. She kneeled down and placed her hand on her sister's shoulder.
"Remember when we were talking the other week? About the 'flings and crushes'?"
"Y-yeah?" Fa replied, eyes glancing around nervously. She looked behind her back at Loba, who had a look of bafflement on her face. "You want Loba to leave the room for this? Because um...I understand this can probably be personal."
"Yeah, I think this is out of my depth here...," The Wolf fox said, making ready to awkwardly leave the room. Lùn however raised her hand for her to stop.
"No...don't. It's probably best that you hear this too. Make it one big embarrassing confession."
"Okay Loony, just spit it out. It's okay." Fa stressed, massaging her shoulders. "No pressure, okay?"
After taking a deep breath, and trying to still her heart, she just confessed. "I... like...um… Kyuu."
Like was the closest she could stomach to say aloud. The term love felt oh so wrong for her. At best, she just felt an allure and some form of weird kindredness with the lop. At best they could just venture from there. The room was completely silent after the bombshell had detonated for what felt like an eternity to her. Fa was the first to open her mouth.
"Flopsy? The rabbit? Like?" The Bat-ear inquired, still not sure exactly what Lùn meant. Fa's fluffy brushtail swung limply on the dusty floor. "You like her? Like… friends, um colleagues? or maybe…um…"
Lùn's mouth twitched as it began drooping into a grimace.
Fa instantly caught on, her ears shot back up straight like antennae as she immediately connected the dots. It was so obvious. "Ooooh. As in, it's not just a fling?"
"Yes… it's not." The Fennec groaned, her head depressing down again. "I'm hooked on her, Fa."
"You love her?" Fa bluntly asked.
The fox's face cringed at the term. "Love?! Hell no!" She barked, giving Fa an indignant look. No way in hell did she feel like that for Kyuu. The rabbit was too much of a complete bitch for her to feel that positive. "I just have feelings for her… embarrassing feelings."
The Bat-eared slowly turned around to Loba who had the very definition of confusion on her face. She mouthed back her 'Don't look at me. I don't know what to say.'
"So... you have dirty thoughts about her?" Fa theorized very plainly.
"...Yeah," Lùn admitted, scratching behind her large ears, feeling unsure. "I mean… I think she's sorta hot. Nice rack." She said, blushing again.
"So is that why you've been acting up for the past hour? You've been thinking about her?"
"You caught that?" The pygmy asked, feeling a bit embarrassed.
"Lùn, I just watched you damn near have a wet dream on this operating table while we made sure you didn't bleed to death." The dark-faced fox humorously commented, following it with a soft snicker. "Hehehe! Heck, your tail was wagging so fast earlier you could have flown out of here if we didn't hold you down."
"Oh, Rex… I was doing that again." The Fennec mix whined, curling into a fetal position with her head depressed down towards the floor. Fa understandingly just rubbed her hands calmingly over her sister's shoulder.
"Relax kiddo, I kinda figured something was going on with you. It wasn't that hard to figure out, it's just weird that you're interested in a herbivore like her is all. I mean her of all beasts?"
"Yeah, it's her," Lùn said,
"It's okay. So you're infatuated with her." Fa surmised. "Are you sure it's just her, specifically?"
"What?" Lùn looked up at her.
"I'm just saying, Shortstop. You just found out you have a preference for softer creatures, maybe it is not just her in particular. Maybe you like other small herbivores? Maybe you know...you just like um... rabbits? I noticed you stopped eating their kind a few months ago." She pointed out. "Have you tried looking at porn? I'm sure we can procure some herbivore stuff from the other clans."
"Fa, I'm attracted to her specifically," Lùn said definitively. "I'm sure of it. I know I don't feel the same way around other herbivores. It's not just how she looks, it's how she makes me feel. When we fought earlier it felt so gratifying."
"Fighting?" The Bat-Ear asked, confused.
"Yes! I feel so much joy whenever we go head to head!" Lùn shot to her feet with clenched fists and passionate fervor.
The Bat-ear could just hear the excitement in the Fennec's high-pitched voice. "Oh…" Fa said, taken a bit aback. "So you two like fighting each other?"
"Fa, I love it," Lùn confessed, bouncing up and down like a hyperactive kid throwing air punches and kicks, despite the other foxes' visual protest that she not strain her wounded body too much.
"I know...it's weird." The pygmy said, calming down and running her hand over her head as she leaned against the table. "But, it's just in our spirits, we kinda match up. Even for a herbivore, she radiates this determination that rivals my own like she wants to be just as strong if not stronger than us. Her will goes against my will."
"Yeah." Fa, replied, still a bit unsure.
"Like we're both competitive and it's like a struggle to prove who is better than the other when we come to blows." Her knuckles cracked as she clenched her fists. "And that just gives me joy."
"She's like a sparring partner for you?" Loba said behind Fa, finally chiming in, "You two exist as rivals; at odds in one world and familiar with each other in another."
"Yeah!" The pygmy shouted.
"Didn't you just try to knock her into next week though?" Fa asked. "You say you like her, but like you two always go for each other's throats every time. If you like her, how can you be so violent?"
"That's what's so weird about it! It's like we'll channel all that negative energy into fighting and then we both have fun trying to best one another."
"Okay…" Fa said nervously, looking back around at Loba who also had a perplexed look upon their face. I think we might have created a monster, she thought. Her sister was happy doing this and that was comforting to her, but still.
"So you have a fetish," Fa stated.
Lùn cringed at the term. "Do you have to put it like that?!" She barked.
"Well, that's what it sounds like!" Fa fired back. "And it sounds like a dangerous one at that! This might be a game to you, but I think she may take it a bit too seriously."
Fa moved over and grabbed Loba's hands, raising her palms for Lùn to see, still stained with her own blood. "Look at this. You almost ended up losing some guts there, Loony. Had her blade gone any deeper..."
"But she didn't though." Lùn insisted. "I was just that good that I survived and I beat her. Besides, I like the risk!"
"Are you fucking nuts?!" The Bat-ear fox angrily barked at her. "You were just that good?! Does she even like you like that?! Are you sure it's not just your side of things?"
"I would like to believe she does!" Lùn barked. "We fooled around the other week, remember? She kissed me first!" She started biting her lip and blushing as she thought about earlier. "We even hit it off again today before you guys showed up."
"Oh Rex..." Fa said, facepalming and shaking her head.
"I thought you would have understood, Fa," Lùn muttered, pouting and crossing her arms.
"Lùn, look at me," Fa demanded. "I am happy for you. I'm glad you finally found someone that you like, but I have to say how worried I am about you and her. She is dangerous and this all sounds even more unsafe! You don't need to get yourself killed over a fucking kink!"
"It's my choice, Fa! It's better than fucking nothing!" Lùn shouted.
"I can't do this with you!" Fa yelled back.
"Um...congratulations, Loony?" Loba's husky voice spoke.
The two of them paused and looked over to the wox who had finally opened her mouth again.
Loba looked like she was awkwardly trying to be supportive but treading into unfamiliar territory, shrugging. "So, you and the rabbit?"
Lùn nodded silently.
"Well uh, considering we're supposed to babysit bunny girl soon with Priscilla-sama going out with her boyfriend, I'm sure you two will be seeing each other a lot more." The wox said fishing for a cigarette. Just before she lit it, she groaned as a realization dawned on her. "Ugh, I just realized. I'm probably gonna have to chaperone you two."
Fa's face lit up as she remembered the arrangement Priscilla had made with Kyuu coming by the Den to train under Loba with Lùn. "That's right! I forgot she said you two were going to train down at the Den!" She paused as a curious look grew on her face. "Wait, why?"
"I dunno…" Loba shrugged, "Might have something to do with her fluffy alpaca boy? Needless to say, I'm probably going to be watching out for these two. I'll keep 'em out of trouble." Swishing the cig in her mouth.
"Right! Loba you can keep an eye on them! I feel so much better now." Fa said, clapping her hands together overjoyed, before hugging the big wolf fox. "Oh, Loba, thank you!" She shouted, kissing her on the forehead, much to the wox's surprise. "This is perfect!"
Loba groaned, her face turning sour at the unsolicited affection. "I guess so, though I'm not a fricken babysitter and I certainly ain't a matchmaker either." She muttered, pushing Fa away. "Enough of that girly stuff. Fa, can you go back to being normal, please? This schoolgirl thing doesn't suit you at all."
Fa nodded, still with a content smile on her lips.
She then looked at Lùn and gave her a slight smile, before kneeling and grabbing her by the shoulders. "You two are gonna see each other I bet, but I expect both you and that carrot muncher to take my training seriously. Your training takes up enough of my time as is. Got it?"
"Yes, Ma'am!" Lùn chirped with an excited smile spreading across her bruised face. "Thank you so much!"
Loba just scratched the scruff of her neck and behind her ears, then nodded stoically at the pygmy. "You shouldn't thank me just yet, Loony. I'm going to be extra hard on you, especially now that you have a sparring partner. So I expect you to give it your all."
"Speaking of which… now that you're patched up, how about we go evaluate the other prospect?" The wox continued. "She should be around this nightmare factory somewhere." She said, looking towards the gloomy exit. "Rex, this place gives me the creeps."
'That's right! Lùn have you asked her out yet?" Fa asked.
"What?! Hell no!" The pygmy answered back with an indignant look on her face.
"Well, you need to ask her out then," The Bat-eared fox insisted.
"I just figured out I liked her a few days ago!" The pygmy barked at her. "And if you haven't noticed, talking really wasn't at the forefront of our minds a while ago." She said, pointing to her swollen snout. "I wanted to put the bitch on her ass and vice versa."
"Right," Fa said, with a slight frown. "You don't exactly have a normal relationship with her at all huh?"
"Yeah, got that right," Lùn said, rolling her eyes. "She'd just as soon as deck me than talk with me. Not that I wouldn't feel up to that." She said, pounding her fist into her palm with gritted teeth.
Fa winced, concerned, but still tried to remain happy for her sister. "Well, maybe since we're here… why don't we get you two talking? Start it off right. Like she's probably around here somewhere, we'll back you up and you two can just talk." Her sister reasoned, sounding very optimistic.
"Ugh… Fine." Lùn concurred with a little annoyance in her voice.
"That's my Little Sis!" Fa declared, patting the pygmy lovingly on the head and scooping her up for a big hug. "I'm just so glad you finally found someone! My sister is a late bloomer!" Joyful tears flowed down the Bat-ear's face as she squeezed the Fennec mix hard despite Lùn's protest that she was hurting her and crushing her tiny body.
"Put… me… down!" Lùn grumbled, squirming from her sister's embrace. She appreciated her sister's support, but this was pushing it. "You're hurting me!" The little fox growled sourly at her as she used her strength to push Fa's arms off of her.
"Right, right," Fa said, letting her drop to the floor. "Now let's go ask out your girlfriend." The vixen gleefully declared as she dragged Lùn along by the arm.
"Grrrrr… Please don't call her that!" The Fennec groaned as she struggled to keep up. "Slow down damn it!"
As they left the room, Loba just frowned and shook her head. "Ugh… romance."
