I forgot to add this chapter.

James groaned, his face pale and turning green. "I can't go on one more."

"Don't be such a baby," said Rosemary, her cheeks flushed. "The A Nile-Ator was awesome! I want to go on again."

"No way," groaned James, clutching his stomach. "I have to go back to the Stagger Inn, right now.

Rosemary put her arm around him. "You'll be fine," she assured. "Let's just have some food, and then we'll go on one more ride."

"I guess," James groaned.

Rosemary bought a cone of black ice cream from a cart a Horror was pushing. James eyed it warily. "It doesn't look like ice cream."

Rosemary laughed. "Don't tell me you're even scared of ice cream now." Her brother loved ice cream.

"I'm not," James denied. "I just don't like how that one looks."

"Fine, then I'll have it." Rosemary tried an old tactic. James hated sharing, so if she wanted him to have something, she'd tried to take it.

"No! It's mine!" protested James. But he still didn't want it.

"You really are scared of ice cream now," Rosemary sighed. "Fine, I'll have it."

"I'll try it," James said. He took a bite, and made a face. "It tastes weird."

"Fine, I'll have it." Rosemary bit into it right in the part James had licked.

James wrinkled his nose. "You're so gross."

"Not as much as your face," Rosemary retorted, eating the rest. It did taste rather funny, but it wasn't bad. "Come on, just one more ride. If the A Nile-Ator was too much for you, how about the virtual one in the Play Pen?"

"No," James protested.

"Come on," Rosemary urged. "You're such a wuss."

Carly Beth came up to them. "James, are you alright?"

"No," James groaned. "I can't go on another ride. I want to go back to the hotel."

Carly Beth looked sternly at Rosemary. "You weren't forcing him, were you?"

"No," she denied. "I just suggested he go on them. Suggested adamantly."

"You called me a wuss until I went on them!" James piped up.

Carly Beth looked at Rosemary sternly. "You really shouldn't tease your brother like that. Don't call him a wuss or a coward."

"Hey, I didn't drag him on them," Rosemary argued, raising her hands.

"I want to go to the hotel, Mom," pleaded James.

"Come on," said Carly Beth, picking him up. "Enjoy the rides by yourself, Rosemary."

"I will," called Rosemary. She'd probably have more fun by herself, even if it was fun forcing her brother on the rides.

She decided to try the virtual A Nile-Ator. As she wandered to the Play Pen, she saw two boys just returning from the virtual A Nile-Ator. The Indian-looking one was groaning and looking uneasy, while the pale one was laughing at him.

"You can't even handle a virtual ride," he teased.

"It still felt real," his friend groaned. He had a slight accent. "That's enough rides for one day, don't you think?"

The other boy laughed. "We've barely been on any, and you already want to quit? You really are a wimp."

His friend punched him. "Well, it's no wonder you like this place so much. You don't have any human friends, so you prefer a place filled with people in monster costumes."

They glared at each other. Then the Indian boy stormed off.

Rosemary smirked. "I know how you feel," she told the boy. "My brother is just like that. I forced him on a bunch of rides, and he had to go back to the hotel just now because he was so scared."

"My brother's the same way," he told her. "He's such a wimp."

"Brother?" Rosemary repeated in surprise. She had thought they were friends.

"Half brother," he clarified. "I can't believe we're related, either."

"I feel the same way about my brother," Rosemary laughed. "About him being a wimp, I mean. Though I also can't believe we're related."

"This is a great place, don't you think?" he asked her. "I've gone on all the rides. They're awesome."

"They are," Rosemary agreed. "I'm Rosemary."

"I'm Ray," he told her.

"Where's your brother gone?" Rosemary asked.

"Probably off sulking somewhere," Ray shrugged. "Want to try the Landmine Pinball machine?"

"Actually, I was going to try the virtual A Nile-Ator," said Rosemary. "I just got off the real one. My brother almost threw up."

Ray burst out laughing. "Mine almost threw up just from trying the virtual one. What a wimp."

"I'm not a wimp!" Kiran had returned, and was glaring at Ray. "At least I'm not a freak like you. You're the one without any friends." Ray glared back at him.

"Hey, don't be so mean," Rosemary told Kiran.

"He calls me a wimp all the time," Kiran told her.

"Because you are," Ray teased.

"Well, you can't be as wimpy as my brother," Rosemary assured. "Then again, he's only eight."

"He's about as wimpy as an eight-year-old," said Ray. Kiran punched him.

"I'm Rosemary," she told him. "Nice to meet you and your brother."

"Hi," Kiran muttered, obviously embarrassed about being teased in front of her. As if to make up for it, he gave her a friendly smile, and started talking enthusiastically to her. Rosemary talked back. Ray blended into the background, obviously feeling awkward.

"I don't like this place much, though," he finished.

"That's because you're a wuss," Ray told him. Rosemary felt a sense of déjà vu. "I'm off to play Landmine Pinball. I bet even that's too scary for you. Wouldn't want you to throw up all over the balls."

Kiran glared at him as he left. "He is such a jerk!" he exploded. "I wish I had never found out he was my brother."

"Well, you were pretty mean to him as well," Rosemary pointed out. "Calling him a freak with no friends."

"Well, it's true," said Kiran.

"Then so is you being a wimp," Rosemary retorted.

"I… That's not…!" Kiran sighed. "Yeah, I guess you're right." Then a wicked smile crossed his face. "Ray won't be laughing at me for long, though."

Rosemary watched as he pulled something lumpy and green out of his pocket. Then she gasped as he straightened it out. It was a hideous, grinning mask, its wide fangs drooling a little. Exactly like the one her mother had described wearing years ago.

"No!" Rosemary cried instinctively.

"Yeah, it is pretty scary, isn't it?" Kiran snickered. "I jumped when I saw it in the mask shop. I bet even Ray would be scared by it. He'll scream so loudly!"

"Put that mask down! Please!" Rosemary pleaded, panic filling her.

"Wow. It really is scary," Kiran said, observing her reaction. "It'll be perfect for Ray. Serves him right." Rosemary watched in horror as he tugged the mask down over his head.
