Notes: For the Femslash Friday prompt for Friday 14th January 2022: Morning

A Beautiful Feeling

Lisa stretched her arms as she sat up. There was bright light streaming in from the window on her right, not quite flooding the room with light but certainly making it clear that it was a bright, sunny, beautiful day outside. To her left, Frost grumbled and opened an eye to glower balefully at the world before snuggling further into the warm covers.

For someone whose powers ran so cold, Frost sure did like to be warm.

Hopping out of bed, Lisa went to the bathroom first to take care of her usual morning ablutions. And as she did, she began to hum a little tune that popped into her head. When she no longer had toothpaste in her mouth, Lisa even began to sing it. A little off key, but not too badly.

"Oh what a beautiful morning! Oh what a beautiful day," Lisa popped her head back into the bedroom, grinning impishly to see her girlfriend sit up and blink owlishly at her. "I've got a beautiful feeling everything's going my way."

"Does that beautiful feeling also tell you that if you keep singing that you're gonna have to duck?" Frost complained petulantly.

Lisa hesitated, for just a second, before smirking. "You are my sunshine, my only sunshine," she sang in reply, ducking as she continued with, "you make me happy when skies are gray," and a pillow sailed over her head to hit the bathroom floor behind her. "You'll never know, dear, how much I love you. So please don't take my sunshine away."

"Mornings," Frost whined, flopping back against her pillow, "should be illegal."

"Must be why this thief here is such a morning person," Lisa concluded, waving a hand to herself with a laugh.

"Illegal," Frost repeated, but a small smile tugged at her lips anyway.
