Wow you guys are awesome! 400 favorites, and over 400 followers. Plus over 200 reviews. I'm blown away by the support for my story, so keep it up you guys. For all of you clamoring for the lemon between Ash, Zoey, and Dawn I wrote it, but its a separate story. So if you want to read just check my profile. i was thinking of doing this for the rest of the stories lemons. Just write them as a separate story and post them, that way I won't have to deal with Critics United, because they'll be finished stories. If you guys like that idea let me know. "Ritchie! Is that really you!?" Ash asked not really believing his eyes.
"Y-yeah its me Ash, but again what the hell is that thing?" Ritchie asked as he continued to stare wide-eyed at Rayquaza.
"I'm not a 'thing' you insolent little shit! I am Rayquaza ruler of the sky, so you best watch your tongue around me." Rayquaza yelled glaring at Ritchie.
Ritchie quickly pulled out his Pokedex and scanned Rayquaza, but the picture on the Pokedex was different from the Pokémon he was looking at right now.
"Uh Ash why does uh what is it called Ray-Rayquaza, yeah that's it, why does it look different from the picture on the Pokedex?" Ritchie asked as he turned the Pokedex around and showed Ash the picture.
Ash merely chuckled as he looked at the picture.
"What's so funny, Ash?" Ritchie asked slightly confused.
"Oh nothing, have you ever heard of mega evolution Ritchie?" Ash asked as he showed Ritchie his megaring.
"I might have heard rumors of it, but I've never seen it in person." Ritchie replied still confused.
"Well Ritchie meet your first mega evolved Pokémon." Ash said as he gestured towards Rayquaza, who was still slightly glaring at Ritchie.
"You mean that thing can mega evolve, holy shit." Ritchie said muttering the last part under his breath.
"HEY! What the hell did I say about calling me a 'thing' you fucking runt!" Rayquaza was now starting to get pissed off and was towering menacingly over Ritchie.
"AH! I'm sorry Lord Rayquaza!" Ritchie yelled as he started to curl into a ball.
"Huh, Lord Rayquaza I like the sound of that." Rayquaza said as he settled down.
"Okay don't start getting a big head now, and be nice to Ritchie for Arceus sake. He was just a little intimidated by you." Ash said as he helped Ritchie off the ground.
"He should be intimidated by me. For I am Lord Rayquaza, god of the skys!" Rayquaza yelled as he gestured towards to open sky with his short arms.
Ash and Ritchie both sweatdropped at Rayquaza's proclamation. Having enough of his antics, Ash quickly pulled out Rayquaza's Cherish Ball and returned him.
"Wait! I want to scare that little human more." Rayquaza tried to plead, but he was quickly sucked into his ball in a flash of red.
Ash turned to see Ritchie with a dumbfounded expression on his face.
"Uh Ritchie you ok?" Ash asked as he place a hand on Ritchie's shoulder.
Out of nowhere Ritchie burst out laughing.
"Only around you Ash, this type of shit only happens to you!" Ritchie got out between fits of laughter.
"Huh, I guess you're right." Ash said before he joined Ritchie in laughter.
After a few minutes of loud laughter, both Ash and Ritchie found themselves back in the Pokémon Center lobby.
"So Ritchie you never told me why you're here." Ash said as he took a seat.
"Well I was actually traveling Sinnoh doing gym battles. Then one day I'm sitting in the lobby of a Pokémon Center watching TV, and I see a recap of the Hoenn League championships from a few months ago. And who do you think I saw crowned Hoenn's new champion," Ritchie said as he jabbed Ash in the arm playfully. "After that I thought 'I gotta find this bastard and congratulate him.' I did some digging around and found out where you were and I took off to find you. Next thing you know I find you standing in front of a massive mega evolved legendary Pokemon.
"So Ritchie are you gonna enter the Sinnoh League?" Ash asked just as Dawn came up behind him and gave him a good morning kiss.
"Uh yeah I'm entering the Sinnoh League, already got all eight badges." Ritchie said, but he was paying more attention to Dawn than the actual conversation.
"Hey Ritchie I'm over here." Ash said as he slapped Ritchie across the chest.
"Sorry about that Ash, but damn you sure know how to pick'em." Ritchie said as he greedily soaked in Dawn's body.
Again Ash slapped Ritchie across the chest.
"Hey asshole stop staring at my girlfriend." Ash said starting to get upset.
"Sorry, sorry but yeah I'll be heading to Lily of the Valley Island in a few days." Ritchie said as he saw a cute brunette come up behind Ash and give him a kiss as well.
"Morning Ash." May said in a sing-song voice as she kissed him, on her way to breakfast.
"Ash you sly dog." Ritchie said when May was out of ear shot.
"It's not like that, she's my girlfriend too." Ash said as he watched May walk off, with a smile on his face.
Ritchie was about to say something, but a hot red-head walking up stopped his train of thought.
"Arceus how many hot girls are in this Pokémon Center." Ritchie thought as this new girl again went up to Ash and gave him a kiss.
Now Ritchie had heard of guys dating two girls before, but three that was ridiculous. Then Ritchie watched on as two more girls, one with dark skin and wild purple hair and the other with pale smooth skin and lavender hair, come up and give Ash a kiss. Now Ritchie was totally confused.
"Okay Ash, what the fuck, five girls!" Ritchie hissed as he watched the last of the girls go into the cafeteria.
"Hey what can I say, they all love me and I love them. I would hate to see any of them heartbroken." Ash said as he gave a happy sigh.
Again Ritchie burst out laughing.
"Only you, you lucky bastard, could manage five girls and not end up getting killed." Ritchie said as continued laughing.
Suddenly Ash got serious.
"So Ritchie you up for a battle." Ash said with a massive grin on his face.
"And miss a chance to battle a champion, no way!" With that Ritchie took towards the battlefield with Ash, Pikachu, and Sparky following closely behind.
(Outside Training Field)
Having drug Cilan out to officiate, Ash and Ritchie were both ready to battle.
"How about a three-on-three, Ritchie?" Ash asked taking his side of the field.
"Sounds good to me." Ritchie replied as he took out a Pokeball.
"The unofficial three-on-three match between Ritchie and Ash will begin. Trainers reveal your first Pokémon." Cilan said starting to match.
"Zippo come on out!" Ritchie threw his ball and a large and menacing Charizard appeared. The Pokémon let out a deafening roar.
"Cool your Charmeleon evolved," Ash said as he eyed the impressive Pokémon. "Well Pikachu buddy I choose you!" Pikachu hopped of Ash's shoulder and onto the battlefield.
Zippo gave Pikachu a questioning look before, it laid on the ground a started to sleep.
"NOOOO! NOT AGAIN!" Ritchie shouted as he tried to get Zippo to battle.
Ash just burst out laughing.
"No fucking way! This is exactly what happened back in the Indigo League, but in reverse!" Ash said as he started to roll on the floor nearly in tears.
However, Pikachu was not pleased. He didn't take kindly to Pokémon underestimating him.
Ash looked up and saw Pikachu glaring at Zippo. Seeing that look quickly sobered Ash up.
"Okay Pikachu let's teach him to never underestimate us, use Thunder!." Pikachu grinned before it jumped in the air and gathered a massive amount of electrical energy. When it gathered enough electricity Pikachu unleashed a massive Thunder attack. Charizard was instantly awakened, but it had no time to dodge and was hit full on by the super-effective attack. When Pikachu stopped shocking Zippo, the large Pokémon was out cold with swirls in its eyes.
"Aw damnit, this always happens. Zippo never listens to me." Ritchie said as he hung his head in shame.
As Ritchie returned Zippo he felt a hand on his shoulder.
"When did Zippo evolve?" Ash asked he tried to cheer Ritchie up.
"He evolved a few years ago." Ritchie said shocking Ash slightly.
"My Charizard was the same way Ritchie, you just need to show him that you truly car for him and will never give up on him. If he does things like that you can't give up on him, you need to show him that you're there for him. Eventually he will come around, my Charizard did and now he's one of my most loyal Pokémon." Ash said trying his best to bring Ritchie's back up.
Hearing this Ritchie looked up and saw Ash smiling at him.
"You're right Ash, I will never give up on Zippo." Ritchie said with new-found confidence in his voice.
"Now how about we continue this battle?" Ash asked as he started to walk back towards his side of the field.
"You got it!" Ritchie said pulling out his next Pokeball.
"I'll even chalk that up as a double knockout, so it's an even match." Ash said as Pikachu jumped back on his shoulder.
"Both Pokémon are unable to continue. Trainers bring out your next Pokémon."
"Happy come on out." Ritchie threw out his next Pokeball, and a Butterfree came out flying around the field.
"Unfezant I choose you." Ash threw his ball and the Proud Pokémon appeared flying in front of Ash.
"Because Zippo uh, acted out, last round you can go first Ash." Ritchie said trying not to be embarrassed Zippo's behavior.
"Okay thanks Ritchie. Unfezant use Air Cutter." Unfezant flapped its wings, launching several blades of air at Happy.
"Happy dodge and use Psybeam." Happy quickly flew out of the way of the oncoming Air Cutter attacks. Then its eyes started to glow as it launched a beam of psychic energy at Unfezant.
"Unfezant use Aerial Ace to dodge then go into Sky Attack." Unfezant used Aerial Ace to quickly dodge the incoming Psybeam. Then Unfezant shot into the air at incredible speeds. Seconds later it came flying towards Happy almost breaking the sound barrier on approach.
"Happy use Protect." Just inches before Unfezant hit, Happy surrounded itself in a green barrier. Unfezant hit the barrier at full speed causing an explosion. When the dust settled both Pokémon were still standing.
Unfezant looked a slightly battered, but could still continue. Happy on the other hand was covered in cuts and bruises as it struggled to stay in the air.
"Unfezant finish this with Air Slash." Unfezant flapped its wings again and launched several buzz saws of razor-sharp air. The attack hit home, and Happy was sent to the ground with swirls in its eyes.
"Happy is unable to battle, Ritchie reveal your last Pokémon."
"Okay Sparky you ready?" Ritchie looked to his shoulder, and immediately Sparky jumped onto the field.
Ash looked at Unfezant, and he noticed Unfezant was slightly winded but could continue.
"Sparky use Thunderbolt." Sparky charged up the electrical energy needed and fired it at Unfezant.
"Unfezant use Detect then Steel Wing." Unfezant's eyes glowed blue as it gracefully dodged the incoming Thunderbolt. Then Unfezant swooped in with glowing wings.
"Sparky dodge, and jump on Unfezant's back." Sparky jumped to dodge Steel Wing and landed on Unfezant's back. "Now use Thunder!"
Sparky gathered a massive amount of electrical energy and unleashed right on top of Unfezant. There was no time to make any moves, so Unfezant fell to the ground knocked out.
"Unfezant is unable to battle, Ash reveal your last Pokémon."
Ash returned Unfezant after thanking it for its hard work. But when Ash pulled out his last Pokeball, he was sporting a grin that slightly scared Ritchie.
"This guy has been waiting for this moment for a long time Ritchie. Here we go, Charizard I choose you!" Ash threw his last ball and the Flame Pokémon appeared in a ball of flames. Charizard let out a deafening roar, that made Sparky start shaking. Ash then pressed the button on his megaring and Charizard was surrounded by a pink light.
What Ritchie saw as the light died down made him start to shake along with Sparky.
Ash's Charizard was now pitch black with a blue stomach. But what made Ritchie worry the most was the blue flames that were spewing out of Charizard's mouth and tail. The flames were so hot, Ritchie could feel the heat on his side of the field.
"Time to finish this. Charizard use Flaming Seismic Toss." Charizard flew in the air and surrounded itself in blue flames so hot, Ritchie could feel his hair starting to burn. Charizard scooped Sparky up and flew high into the air. Then once it reached a sufficient height Charizard started a spinning descent, all while it was still surrounded by the intense blue flames. A few feet before the ground Charizard released Sparky causing the momentum to slam him into the ground.
When Charizard landed the flames surrounding it faded away. Once the dust settled Sparky was in a small flaming crater. Sparky was covered in burns and bruises. It was very obvious Sparky was out cold.
"Sparky is unable to battle. Since all of Ritchie's Pokémon are unable to battle, the winner is Ash!" Cilan said declaring Ash the winner.
Ash returned Charizard, while Ritchie scooped up Sparky.
"Great battle Ritchie." Ash said shaking Ritchie's hand.
"Yeah no kidding, you're not a Champion for nothing." Ritchie said chuckling lightly.
"Hey Ritchie," Ash said causing Ritchie to look at him. "How about when your Pokémon are healed, you come watch my gym battle in Sunnyshore City."
Ritchie only had to thing for a second before he answered.
"Hey what kind of friend would I be if I didn't." Ritchie said with a smile.
(5 Days Later Sunnyshore City Gym)
After a long trip, Ash led his group plus Ritchie into the Sunnyshore City Gym. As Ash walked through the doors he could feel the electricity in the air, literally. He walked onto the battlefield to see Volkner training with several of his electric-type Pokémon.
"Hey Volkner, long time no see!" Ash yelled as he ran up to Volkner.
"Ah well if it isn't the champion himself." Volkner said as he went to meet Ash in the middle of the field.
After a round of introductions Ash got right to business.
"So you must know why I'm here, right?" Ash said as Volkner nodded.
"Oh I know why you're here. That's why I was training when you got here. I wanted to be as prepared as possible for when you arrived." Volkner said with a grin as gestured for Ash to take his side of the field.
"Well I hope you're ready Volkner, because I'm going all out." Ash said as he grabbed a Pokeball from his belt.
"I wouldn't want it any other way Ash." Volkner replied as he pulled out his own Pokeball.
"The official three-on-three battle between the gym leader, Volkner, and the challenger Ash Ketchum will begin. Trainers bring out your first Pokémon." The robotic official said.
"Jolteon time to charge this battle up." Volkner threw his ball and the Lighting Pokémon appeared ready to battle.
"Seismitoad I choose you." Ash threw his ball and the Vibration Pokémon appeared in a flash of red.
"Jolteon start with Quick Attack." With speed that Pikachu would envy Jolteon took towards Seismitoad.
"Seismitoad use Mud Shot on the ground." Seismitoad whipped its tongue launching several balls of mud onto the ground.
When Jolteon tried to run through the mud it slipped on went sailing past Seismitoad.
"Now Seismitoad use Hydro Pump." Seismitoad fired a massive torrent of water at Jolteon.
The attack hit and sent Jolteon crashing into a wall. Seconds later Jolteon got up slightly dazed, but still ready to go.
"Jolteon rapid fire Shadow Ball." Jolteon opened its mouth and started firing of Shadow Balls.
"Seismitoad use Aqua Ring." Seismitoad raised its arms and several rings of water appeared around it.
The Aqua Ring absorbed the brunt if most of the Shadow Balls, but Seismitoad still felt the concussive effects of the attacks.
"Now Jolteon run in and use Double Kick." Jolteon ran up to Seismitoad and delivered two powerful kicks to its stomach.
Seismitoad staggered back, but it remained standing.
"Great job Seismitoad, now use Earthquake." Seismitoad slammed its foot into the ground sending shock waves throughout the gym.
Jolteon was sent to its knees, as it struggled to stand.
"Seismitoad finish this with Drain Punch." Seismitoad rushed the still down Jolteon.
"Jolteon quick use Toxic." Just before Seismitoad attacked, Jolteon shot a ball of toxic goo at Seismitoad.
The ball of toxic goo hit Seismitoad in the face. Seismitoad took a second to wipe the goo off its face before it punched Jolteon across the gym, draining some of its energy. When Jolteon landed it had swirls in its eyes.
"Jolteon is unable to continue, gym leader reveal your next Pokémon."
"Electivire time to turn this battle around." The Thunderbolt Pokémon appeared sporting a massive grin.
"Seismitoad use Sludge Wave." Seismitoad produced a massive wave of sludge and launched it at Electivire.
"Electivire dodge and use Ice Punch." Electivire ran up and jumped over the Sludge Wave and punched a freezing fist into Seismitoad's face.
Seismitoad fell to the ground with half its face frozen. But Seismitoad got back on its feet breaking the ice of its face. As Seismitoad got ready for its next attack, it was suddenly sent to its knees.
"What the hell is happening? Wait... shit I forgot about the Toxic... damnit Volkner planned ahead." Ash thought as Seismitoad struggled against the poison coursing through its veins.
"Seismitoad push through it and use Dig." Seismitoad pushed through the pain and dug into the ground.
Electivire started scanning the field looking for where Seismitoad was likely to emerge.
"Seismitoad use Power-Up Punch followed by Facade." Seismitoad burst out of the ground and punched Electivire in the chest. Then Seismitoad glowed briefly as its attack power was raised. Seismitoad then hit the still dazed Electivire with a super powered Facade sending Electivire flying across the gym. Just as Electivire came skidding to a halt knocked out, Seismitoad fell over unconscious.
"Both Pokémon are unable to battle, trainers reveal your next Pokémon."
"Luxray time to super charge." Volkner threw his last ball and the Gleam Eyes Pokémon appeared in a flash of electricity.
"Donphan I choose you." Ash threw out his ball and Armor Pokémon appeared, giving a loud roar with its trunk.
"Luxray start with Ice Fang." Luxray charged Donphan with elongated frozen teeth.
"Donphan jump and use Slam." Just as Luxray was about to bite Donphan, Donphan jumped and landed right on top of Luxray.
Luxray managed to knock Donphan off and get back its side if the field. But as Luxray got back to its side it was hit by paralysis from the Slam attack it took.
"Donphan use Horn Attack." Donphan charged Luxray with glowing horns.
"Luxray dodge and use Crunch." Luxray rolled out of the way and bit Donphan's leg.
Donphan roared in pain as Luxray continued to dig its fangs in Donphan's leg.
"Donphan shake it off with Rollout." Donphan quickly rolled into a ball and started rolling in place.
Luxray was slammed into the ground several times as it clung to Donphan's leg. Eventually Luxray had to let go, which sent it soaring across the gym because of its momentum. But Luxray manage to get back up on shaky legs.
"Luxray finish this with Giga Impact." Luxray managed to muster the energy to charge Donphan one more time, surrounding itself in energy.
"Donphan you use Giga Impact too." Donphan stomped the ground before it charge Luxray surrounding itself in energy too.
Both Pokémon met in the middle of the field. When both Pokémon meet they both struggled for dominance. But Luxray was much more drained than Donphan and quickly started to lose ground. Seconds later Luxray couldn't keep the attack up anymore and was hit with the full force of Donphan's attack.
Luxray was almost instantly knocked out when the attack hit. As Donphan backed of towards its side of the field, Luxray tried its best to stand but it was too much. So Luxray succumbed to its injuries and fell unconscious.
"Luxray is unable to battle. Since all of the gym leaders Pokémon are unable to battle, the winner is Ash."
Ash ran up and gave Donphan a hug, and thanked it for its amazing battle.
Volkner smiled as he watched Ash. With a sigh Volkner returned Luxray and walked up to Ash, who had just returned Donphan.
"That was truly amazing Ash, I look forward to you becoming Sinnoh's new champion." Volkner said with a grin as he shook Ash's hand.
"Thanks Volkner, you were great too. And don't worry I'll give Cynthia a run for her money." Ash said with his own grin.
Ash then turned towards his group and saw Ritchie with an awed expression.
"That was amazing Ash!" Ritchie yelled as the group walked out of the gym.
Ash just rubbed the back of his head in embarrassment while he grinned.
"So Ritchie want to travel to Lily of the Valley Island together?" Ash asked already knowing the answer.
"You bet your ass I do." With that the group took of towards the port to catch a ship bound for Lily of the Valley Island.
There we go another chapter down, sorry for the wait but I've been extremely busy lately with school and several other things. The next chapter starts the Sinnoh League. I can't wait to write the Cynthia vs. Ash fight, its gonna be so fun to write. Remember to review, and PM me any ideas you guys have. All extra ideas are greatly appreciated.
