I don't own any of this Loud House belongs to Nickelodeon.
Lori came out of her campus dorm with the last of her stuff, she felt disappointed in herself as she had planned to leave two days ago, but those riots had literally halted her plans.
The rioters had stormed into the campus, wrecking everything on the outside or inside the main campus. The dorms were locked up tight, the students; especially Lori were very scared as those rioters sounded very violent and would do stuff to her, stuff that she only seen in crime shows.
For the first time in years Lori had hid under her covers, praying that the crazy people wouldn't bust into her room. The riots ended the fallowing day, but Lori was just too scared to go outside, she stayed in her room for the rest of the day, even as everyone else were now leaving in boatloads.
Today however at 7:00AM at this moment, Lori was heading home with nothing stopping her. Lori treks through the now abandon parking lot, her car that she got from Mr. Grouse stood in her parking spot with most of her other stuff already loaded in the back seats.
Walking up to the trunk Lori loaded her last box inside, she then shuts it when an all to familiar voice called to her. "Lori please reconsider on leaving, don't be like the other sheep by believing the government's lies."
Facepalming in agitation Lori turned around to face Gavin who stood there with his stupid sign still held in his hand. "You know Gavin, I don't understand how your still denying this?"
"It's because I see through the government's lies."
"Oh really, I'm sure those rioters were all part of the government's big scheme." Lori sarcastically remarked.
"Exactly! Now your finally seeing it."
Lori squeezes her forehead in frustration. "Oh for crying out loud Gavin! Don't you think that maybe the government isn't responsible for every gosh dang theory in your mind. If you keep believing in these stupid theories, your going to end up being killed when that rock hits!"
"Nothing is going to happen Lori!" He protested.
"Tell yourself that Gavin, but when it hits don't start crying like a baby!" Lori enters her car, she slammed the door, then drove out of the parking lot of her dream college that was now basically abandon.
Through her rearview mirror she can see Gavin giving her a disapproval look. Lori shook her head, then focused her attention to the road as she began her drive back home.
The Casagrande family moved down the stairs towards the basement at 8AM, the family were heading for the extra room that Ronnie Anne and Sid had found last year.
The death of Hector took a toll on them, they all grieved over the loss of the grandfather of the family with many of them silent with tears. Rosa took a bigger hit over the death of her husband, she didn't cook that much, candles were lit in every room in her apartment, and she's been in her room for the whole day yesterday.
Ronnie Anne however took it badly, while she did talk to Sid about what happen, she felt anger towards those men who murdered her grandpa. Ronnie Anne wanted them to pay for what they did, she wanted them to suffer horribly even if she had to hunt them down herself.
The family entered the extra room, they've huddle themselves around the room, Ronnie Anne sat herself on a beanbag folding her arms together in anger.
"I swear to you Grandpa, if that space rock doesn't take out the men who murder you, I'll do it myself." Ronnie Anne muttered to herself, the anger inside her boiled like lava in a active volcano.
"Okay people move!" Rita ordered as she came out of the house with Lilly, baby stuff, and the book she's been working on at 8:50AM
Her family came out in a stampede carrying a few personal items, their pets ran with them for unlike other pets they are aware of what was happening. The family ran to Lisa's bunker which was already open, thanks to Lisa opening it up at 6AM.
They piled in quickly with a few of them shoving each other, Lisa shut the lid up tightly and then securely locked it. The family stood in the dark shelter anxiously, they couldn't see anything due to how dark it was.
"Can someone turn on the lights?" Lynn asked.
"Hold your horses." Lisa replied, with a flip of a switch the lights came on revealing a computer in front of them.
"Much better." Leni happily said. Beside her Lucy sighed in distant for she liked the darkness. Luan however looked at the computer in wonder. "What's with the computer?"
"This" Lisa walked over and turned on the computer which showed a 3D model of the Earth, with a weather map of every continent on a split screen to the right. "Is a way for me to observe the effects of impact."
Suddenly a large green dot appeared next to the 3D Earth, moving towards it in a good pace.
"What's that green blob?" Lincoln asked.
"That's the asteroid about to enter the atmosphere." Lisa replied gravely.
Near the impact site, a Canadian boat that's been trekking through the artic ocean is staying afloat with its anchor down. The boat had been sent to collect fish, the crew have battled through the artic cold and trudge through the ice.
Now the crew were facing engine trouble, the boat couldn't go anywhere with its cargo full of fish. Engineers of the crew worked hard to fix the engine that steamed out, up on the deck the crew battled the icy winds that struck them hard. Many were checking the cargo they were carrying, while one stood at the starboard side looking at the distant mountains of Torngat Mountains National Park.
A strange noise now filled the air causing all on deck to look up towards the sky. The crew only caught a brief glimpse of a bright, flaming orb in the sky before going blind from its sheer brightness.
Around them the polar air turns rabidly warm, so warm that the surrounding ice melted, and their skin burned as if they were in a desert. The heat turns up more, it became so hot that the boat heated up to the point of cooking the fish and burning the crew's feet as it melted their boots.
A second before the asteroid even impacts, the crew and boat vaporizes.
Rip Hardcore shielded his face from the orb that crashed into the ground.
Rip had been in the Canadian wilderness for the past week. He was here to test his survival skills in the colder regions of the North. Since he was here with no communication to the civilized world, he had no idea of the danger he was in.
Rip was out hunting when the air turned warm and a bright orb appeared in the sky that created a massive explosion when it hit the area a few kilometers away.
Rip couldn't lay his eyes on the explosion due to how bright it was, but he could feel the heat. He just lowered his arm a bit before getting hit by a thermal radiation wave that burned him and everything else in the area into a crisp.
In Michigan, a bright light from the impact could be seen from the direction of the North. In her car; although Lori wasn't facing the light, she could see the shadows of her car, trees, and buildings wage outwards.
Lori gulped for it was starting, she slammed down on the gas peddle, accelerating her car as fast as it could. Unfortunately with such a old car you couldn't go fast for that long, sure enough white smoke rose from the radiator.
"Not now! Please don't do this now!" Lori pulls into a breakdown lane in front of a building that was burned from the riots.
"Alright just need to let it cool, then continue on my way." Lori told herself.
From atop of a hill; Scoots stared at the bright light that continued to admit. Yesterday she went speeding around town, she loved it as no one had stopped her at all.
Now she just parked on top of the hill near the biker hang out watching the light. It was very bright, so bright that even though her sunglasses her eyes began to hurt from staring at it for a long time.
On the computer in Lisa's bunker; the 3D Earth showed a massive explosion rising up in the northern part of the world, right where Lisa said the asteroid would impact. Looking at it the family could judge that it reached the stratosphere or even pass it.
On the weather map a dark red circle spreads out away from the impact site. The red circle expands through Canada and the artic, it expands past towns, wilderness, and Toronto, along with much of Greenland.
The Louds watch this mortify, Lola then spoke up. "What was that?"
"That's the thermal radiation wave that's expanding away from the impact site. Anything that was hit by it is obliterated in an instant." Lisa explains.
"Dang, I hope there are survivors." Luna exclaimed horrified.
"I wouldn't hope, chances of survival in that red circle is very slim." Lisa sadly interject.
Lisa along with the rest of the family went quiet, they were horrified at how many could've possibly died near the impact site, what was worse. This is just the beginning.
In Great Lake City; the Casagrande family had no idea that the asteroid had just impacted the Earth. The family still thought about the loss of Hector, especially Ronnie Anne who curled herself into a ball with fresh tears emerging from her angry face.
A rumble is suddenly heard, Ronnie Anne wiped away her tears and sat up while listening to the rumble that grew louder. "What's that?"
Carlos listens, "Judging by the sound, I say it's a," The whole room shook very violently. "Earthquake!"
Small stones of concrete fell from the ceiling, the wallpaper tears revealing cracks on the said walls. The TV falls and crashes onto the floor, the T-Rex head on the wall falls, nearly landing on top of Carl who along with the rest of the family couldn't even stand from the violent shaking.
Outside the whole city shook from the 11.1 earthquake that tore through the country. Buildings collapsed as well as bridges, railway tracks above the streets, trees, and telephone poles.
The streets shifted and cracked, releasing steamed from ripped apart pipes, including gas pipes that set some of the buildings ablaze.
Underground in the subways; bricks fell on the buckled up tracks, some of the roofs had collapsed sealing up the tunnels with a ton of dirt, rock, and concrete. Inside the room where Sid and her family hid, they huddle together in fear as the room shook and groaned around them.
The global earthquake spreads to every corner of the world. Triggering landslides, collapse of buildings, and cracks that spread through the ground.
In San Francisco the big one has finally occured, the buildings that were built to withstand earthquakes swayed as glass began to fall out, some of them couldn't withstand the intense shaking and collapsed.
In the Yucatan; Arturo is on his knees in the jungle. Ever since he got word of the asteroid, Arturo has been trying to get back home to be with his kids. However life hasn't been fair to him, the airport been packed, giving him no room to hitch a ride, he's also been robbed the day before which lost him anything he had that he could use to pay for a ride home.
Now he was too late and now stuck in the Yucatan, the site where the dinosaur killing asteroid struck sixty five million years earlier. Luckily this time the asteroid had struck farther north, but he was still caught in the earthquake that shook the world.
Royal Woods; a town that haven't suffered any earthquakes in a hundred years is now suffering from the intense shaking. Sunset Canyon, the elementary school, and French-Mex Buffet collapses.
In the fallout shelter; it held against the tremors, but the items on the shelves still shook, and the Louds couldn't stand up. Lilly began to cry out in fear, Lynn Sr. who struggled to stay up straight fell hard on his side.
At the impact site; a massive shockwave expands out in a perfect circle with wind speeds faster than a tornado.
In Great Lake City, the shockwave blows through: cars, glass, rubble, and exposed people are flung at a great distance.
At Fairway college; despite the college being deserted and in ruins, Gavin still sat there at the campus steps. Despite seeing the light from the impact, and the still on going earthquake, he was still in denial for this was obviously a government trick.
He'll never fall for the government's scheme, he's smarter than those sheep, he'll be the one on top of the government's control.
Gavin gets blown away along with the remains of the campus buildings when the shockwave hits the campus.
Lori got out of her car with a queasy stomach from the amount of shaking she experienced in her car. After emptying out her stomach, Lori glances towards the way she came where she saw a massive cloud of dust and hot smoke rapidly approaching her.
"Holy!" Lori runs into the burned building, she dives into the basement, slamming the door just as the shockwave tears the building apart, along with her car that flipped onto it's back.
On the computer's weather map; it showed that much of Canada is on fire. The computer and the lights suddenly went dark, the Louds cried out from the sudden darkness that engulfed them, except Lucy who of course smiled. Outside they heard a loud bang, as well as something hitting against the outside metal walls.
The emergency lights now came on, illuminating the family in a red light, however this was just for the lights, so the computer stays off. Leaving them blind to the rest of the world.
The shockwave leaves much of Canada, United States, and Iceland barren. Debris of fallen trees, rolled over cars, and parts of houses and other buildings littered the ground. Bodies of both human and animal also littered the ground, all burnt, crushed, or cut badly from the small debris being carried inside the shockwave.
Up in the sky, the sky turned from a nice blue to red from the thermal radiation. It heats up the ground like a giant oven.
All this was just in the first hour after impact.
Back in the Yucatan; the quakes have finally ended leaving Arturo to walk through the jungle. He felt dizzy from the amount of shaking he experience, he is really glad that the quakes have stopped, but he was still on edge for he knew that the aftershocks wouldn't be that far away.
While worrying about the aftershocks, Arturo also thought about ways to get home, he needed to know if his kids were alright.
Arturo continued to walk, he walked over trees that were knocked down during the quakes, hopped over cracks on the ground, and also push pass the plants. Arturo also noticed that the temperature seemed to increase, more so than usual. Arturo reaches a clearing where he now got a clear view of the changing colored sky. "Dios mios!"
Arturo never seen anything like this, he watches the sky change into a red color. Around him the temperature increases making his body sweat more, sunburns also began to form on his arms.
Ash begins to fall from the sky, Arturo immediately covers his mouth for he knew that breathing in ash was very bad for you, the increasing temperature is also getting to him. Arturo knew he had to get out of this heat, he looks around until he noticed a cave nearby, smiling in relief Arturo runs into the cave where the micro-climate within cooled him.
Arturo looks to his arms that were all red, he could tell that his burned arms were going to hurt once it settled in, and the peeling was going to be just as bad.
The smell of smoke suddenly filled Arturo's nose, looking outside he saw the smoke rising from the ground, crackling began to fill out through the jungle until at last the first spark came and ignites a fire that quickly began to spread out in the jungles of the Yucatan.
The growing heat in the sky, sparks fires on the North American continent. What ever what was left standing from both the shockwave or the earthquake is now set ablaze, especially in cities. Factories who held flammable items were very vulnerable, when they start to burn, it will last for a long time.
The most dangers places that burned were the chemical plants, they explode from the immense heat, spilling there chemicals into the air, that were then carried out by the wind.
The immense heat soon reaches Europe and Asia, sparking fires on their landscapes to. Chernobyl; the site of the worst nuclear disaster in history is burning in flames, burning flames releases the left over radiation of the dead forest into the air.
The Louds felt the heat in the shelter, even with the cooling systems on, the heat still got to them. Sweat was working overtime on their bodies, and thirst now comes to them.
Leni suddenly stood up. "I'm getting a drink." Leni moves to the latter, she was planning to get a glass of lemonade from the fridge. Lisa quickly stops her by stepping in front of the latter with her arms out.
"Don't go out there Leni!" She warns.
"But why Lisa? It's so hot in here and I'm really thirsty." She cried.
"Well Leni, if you think it's hot in here, your going to really feel the heat outside, since it's a hundred times more hotter." Lisa replied.
"But why is it so hot?" Leni asked.
"Yeah, what's the dealo?" Lynn added as she wiped away the sweat from her ponytail.
"It's caused by rock vaporized during the impact. The vaporized rock was shot out into space, heating up the atmosphere with thermal radiation. This is what's really going to cause the global problems, especially within the modern world with all the flammable materials and chemicals we have exposed." Lisa explains.
"How long do you think this heat going to last?" Luan asked while using her flower to squirt herself.
Lisa thinks a bit. "About twenty four hours." Her family groan in despair over that answer.
"Princesses can't live in this heat!" Lola complains.
"What about Jasmine?" Lana pointed out.
"She lived in a palace with water." Lola replied.
"I would do anything for a bucket of ice right now." Luan exclaimed causing the rest of her family to fantasize about that fictional ice bucket they would've dumped on themselves.
Outside the temperature is still rising.
New York City was flooded.
When the ice melted in the artic, it raises the sea levels on the northern coastlines. In New York the sea level has raised to two stories, on the streets cars, taxis, and buses floated on the water like boats, litter and debris also floats on the water.
People who have survived the riots, now find themselves trapped inside skyscrapers. One of these groups were surviving gang members who fought near the firehouse. They now found themselves stuck in the a rundown building.
They were confident after getting these new territories and all the supplies they've gain from around the city. What they weren't expecting was the city to become flooded, or the earthquake, the shockwave that blew out the glass, or this intense heat.
The gang members grew fearful for their supplies wouldn't last long if they remain trap in this blasted building that served as their headquarters for years prior. When this was over, they would have to find a way out of this flooded city.
They are completely unaware that something far more dangerous is approaching the city.
When the asteroid struck the shallow shores, it creates a series of gigantic waves that move out into the ocean. The mega tsunamis crashes into ravage coastlines, what was left burning is now drown under the one hundred foot walls of water.
It takes about two and a half hours until it reaches New York. The waves crashes through the streets and through the fifth floors of buildings. The gang's rundown building which is only four stories didn't stand a chance as the waves wash it, along with its gang members away.
The tsunamis crosses down through the Atlantic ravaging more coastlines or roll through small islands. It passes into the gulf of Mexico where it surges into the burning Yucatan.
At this time Arturo had moved deeper into a cave system he had discovered, when he moved away from the entrance to avoid the amounting heat.
Arturo stumbles into a large cavern with glowing white crystals on the walls. Arturo looked around in amazement at this sight, despite the burning world outside, he couldn't help but be caught in the beauty of the crystals. Arturo wanted to get a closer look at one of these crystals on a raised platform, this decision ultimately saved his life as a few seconds after climbing on to the rocky platform, a raging rapid of water carrying debris crashes into the cavern floor.
Arturo had jumped at the waters sudden appearance, it continues to move forward violently for what felt like forever, (though actually just five minutes), until at last the water pulls back. Leaving behind tree trunks, rocks, and a stunned Arturo who couldn't believe how close to death he gotten.
Rocks that were thrown into space were now raining down as molten rock in Great Lake city.
The extra room is a total wreck from the earthquake, the Casagrande family now huddle themselves together to a undamaged corner. They were listening to the bombardment that is happening outside, like the Louds they to felt the heat.
"Mom, it's so hot. How long is it going to last?" Carlota asked. Frida gently shushes her as she strokes her daughter's hair. "It's okay mia, I'm sure it's almost over."
A rock the size of a couch crashes through the already weaken ceiling, the family yelped in surprise, then groan from the heat that surged through the newly made hole. From the heat Sergio and Lalo freaked out, in panic they raced out of the room.
"Sergio! Lalo get back here!" Rosa cried out as she ran after them, fallowed by her family who came after her. "Mom wait!" Maria and Carlos called out.
They fallow her all the way outside where they now caught site of the hell that was once their city. "Squawk! This place is lit!" Sergio stated. A rock smashes against the neighboring building, in panic the family began to run down the street.
Around the fleeing family molton rock of various sizes rains down, crashing into the buildings, the streets and sidewalks all around them. The family didn't know where exactly they were going, they just knew that they needed to find a new shelter since they just lost their old one.
They eventually come upon a dried up canal, a falling rock the size of a semi crashes into parked cars in front of them, blocking their path with a crater and flames.
"This way!" Ronnie Anne instructed, she leads her family towards a surviving bridge that hung over the canal, another falling rock smashes into the bridge, destroying it completely. "Oh come on!" Ronnie Anne shouted.
"Now what do we do?" CJ worriedly asked.
Ronnie Anne looked down into the canal, she scans the walls for anything until she laid eyes on a large drain pipe. "Quick follow me!"
Ronnie Anne leads her family down the canal, some nearly fell from angle of the slope, they reach the bottom and got to the pipe where they cringe in disgust. Ronnie Anne enters the pipe with no problem, she turns to face her family where she motions them to follow.
"Are you kidding Ronnie Anne? I can't go in a drainage pipe! You know what's in there?" Carlota exclaimed.
"It's either this or get crushed!" Ronnie Anne shot back, a falling rock crashes into the canal quiet close to them as if to prove a point. Carlota quickly makes her way into the pipe, "Move over!" The rest of the family follows suit, they get as far away from the entrance of the pipe that they felt like they should.
The drainage pipe proofs salvation from the heat outside. The molton rocks continue to rain down from the sky, the Casagrande apartment burns in flames, it tilts then collapsed in a fiery blaze.
The smoke from the fires mixes with dust particles kicked up from the impact. It forms a thick cloud over the Earth blocking out the sun.
The only light comes from the fires themselves.
