I don't own any of this Loud House belongs to Nickelodeon.

Lori grimaced in disgust as she held another spoonful of beans in front of her mouth, she closes her eyes then allowed the beans to enter her mouth.

It had been another full day since she's been in this basement. Ever since yesterday, she's been eating nothing but uncooked beans. Lori as you can imagine got tired of eating beans, but with it being the only thing she can eat, she had no choice.

Finishing up with her dinner, Lori set aside the can to the pile of cans that she had emptied out earlier. Lori then gets up, then proceeds to pace around the basement just like what she found herself doing after breakfast.

Normally Lori would be on her phone, but now she couldn't with the cell service and internet down. Plus with no power, and the fact she left her charger in the car, Lori wanted to save the remaining battery power she had left, just in case the phone service came back on.

Lori walks to one end of the basement, from this end the stairs leading to the basement door could be seen. Lori wanted to leave this basement, but at the same time she is nervous for she doesn't know what was out there now, at least here, (despite the beans) had food and shelter.

Lori continues to pace around the room for several more hours, until she eventually settle down on the floor that served as her bed. The floor was cold and uncomfortable, but Lori had no other option in this basement.

Curling up into a ball, Lori slowly went into a uneasy sleep.

Lori had a dreamless night, when she awoken the next day she felt as horrible as a zombie. The first thing she saw as her vision focused were those cursed empty bean cans.

Groaning; Lori continues to lay on the floor, she didn't want to get up, she just wanted to lay on the floor for a while, besides it's not like Lori had anything important to do today and she definitely wanted to wait on her bean Breakfast.

Lori laid on the floor, the time passes to a half hour and by that time Lori had fallen asleep.

This time Lori did dream; in this dream Lori is in the grand golfing championship.

Here she was in the lead, Lori stood at the final hole of the course which was the most difficult hole in the history of golf as there were lots of sand traps, ponds, rocks, and hills. This hole was famous for scaring even the most experience golf player.

But Lori Loud who stood at the starting area, with her family and boyfriend cheering her on, stood there confidentiality with no fear what's so ever. She looked to the ball and the distant hole, judging very carefully on how she should swing, along with the wind speed that is moving in the right direction.

Lori slowly raises her club up, hanging it up above her head, Lori breathed calmly then with enough force swung the club and hits the golf ball which flies in the air at top speed, the ball falls and gets right in the hole resulting in a hole in one.

"That was a piece of cake." Was all that Lori commented.

She was then immediately surrounded by her family who lifted her up over their heads as they cheered her name.

"Way to go Lori!" Leni happily exclaimed.

"We're so proud of you kiddo!" Rita stated, beside her Lynn Sr. is crying his eyes out in a handkerchief due to how happy he was for his little girl's achievement.

Her siblings meanwhile congratulated/praised her. All of them stated on how good she was today, how awesome she was, Lynn even stated that Lori was better in sports than her. Lori was then brought back to the ground where Bobby kneeled down in front of her with a large banquet of roses.

"For you my golf angel." He lovingly spoke, Lori with hearts all around her head, and googly eyes gladly takes them. "Thanks Bobby! Their lovely."

"I picked only the best for my gal." He replied smoothly, he then leans in for a kiss, Lori does the same, their lips get closer, close enough to just about touch.

Lori could feel something on her lips, Bobby's lips must've been moving quickly as it kinda tickled. "Oh Bobby! Your lips are making me giggle!"

Opening her eyes, a rat filled her vision with its nose sniffing right up to her mouth. Lori's brain took a second to register the current event happening in the real world, and when it did Lori shot up to her feet like a bullet, with disgust she spits out what ever stuff the rat brought into her mouth, the said rat spooked by Lori's sudden movement ran off into his home inside the wall.

Lori continues to spit, then wipe her mouth with her hands. "Ugh! That was literally disgusting!" Lori does one last spit shot, then looked to the wall where the rat ran into.

She felt utter outrage, she was having a good dream that made her forget about the hell she experienced in the day of the impact. Now thanks to that disgusting rat, her wonderful dream has been popped and she is now pulled back into this new harsh reality.

"Stupid rat." She angrily muttered to herself.

Now that she was fully awake, Lori might as well get started on her day. Which meant it's bean time, much to her dismay.

From inside his home; the rat watched Lori begrudgingly eat her breakfast. The rat hoped that she will leave some food for him, he already eaten some of the food that were still in the left over cans, but he was looking forward for more when he got hungry again.

He just had to wait for her to finish and go back to sleep. This rat knew in experience that going out while this human is active was a death sentence.

While he waited, the rat moved deeper into his home to have a rest, then maybe a bath.

After another bean meal, Lori sat against a wall staring at the wall on the other end of the basement. Lori was feeling so bored and tired of looking at this basement for another full day.

Slowly she cast her eyes to the door that lead to the outside world. Lori really wanted to leave this basement, surely this disaster is over by now, it just had to be since it had been two days since that rock slammed into the Earth.

It wouldn't hurt to check after all, right?

Getting back up to her feet, Lori went up the stairs to the door, gripping the door handle Lori slowly opens it with the door making a creek. She couldn't believe her eyes when she stepped out of the basement for the first time since impact.

The sky is no longer a red color, instead it changed into a dark color as if caught in a very severe thunderstorm. The building which the basement was attached to is gone, the rest of the landscape is barren of any vegetation and buildings, instead various pieces of smoldering debris, turned over cars, and rock littered the ground.

Lori also noticed that her car is missing. Feeling anxious Lori ran into the street, from there she looked around for where ever her car had went to, she suddenly remembered where the shockwave came from, so she turned to face the south.

Straining her eyes, Lori could just see it in the distance. Lori instantly ran for the car, when she reached it she was huffing and puffing from how far it was which was one mile. Lori also came to notice that her car is turned upside down, along with it being completely burned.

In disbelief Lori slowly walked to the front of the burnt vehicle, it was clear that the car is wrecked beyond repair. Even if she somehow managed to turn it right side up again, the hood is badly dented where she could see that the engine itself is badly damaged, the tires had melted to the metal rims, and the inside is so badly burned that it would be very uncomfortable for her to sit in.

Lori also noticed that her stuff that were packed in the backseat and trunk were all but destroyed.

"Perfect" Lori glances towards the direction of home. She had a long way to go, and with literally nothing, she didn't know how long she would last.

Lori glances back to the basement that saved her life, even though she ate nothing but beans, it did have supplies that could help her very much, even those beans that she hated so much would help her on the food situation.

Lori headed back into the basement, once there Lori had gathered whatever she thought would be very helpful to her, including the last cans of beans.

Once everything is gathered, Lori placed everything in the middle of the basement, then began to look for anything she can use to transport the supplies with her. Lori practically searched through the entire basement until at last she sees a old green bag that is covered in dust and cobwebs.

Satisfied on her finding Lori took hold of the bag handle, lifts it out of its cobweb prison, she was glad that she wasn't a arachnophobe like her younger sister or else she would've never touch this thing or even go near it with all its cobwebs.

Lori then flaps the bag causing the dust to fall off, which made her sneeze a lot. With the bag now partially dust clean, Lori returns with the bag to her supplies where she then loaded everything into the bag, until it was completely full.

Lori with her full bag wrapped on her arm, stood in the middle of the road, the basement shelter stood at her side, while in front of her is Lori's home town that's somewhere miles ahead of her in this wasteland.

Lori took out her phone again, where she looked at her family picture. Then with a huff Lori began her journey home, it took about an hour when she finally left the destroyed town. She was now walking by what was once a forest that covered both sides of the road.

Lori looked at the down trees at both her sides, they were basically charred with white smoke coming up from the dying fires that were finally putting themselves out. Trees of course weren't the only things that were visible in this landscape: cars littered much of the side of the road with some having their drivers still inside.

Sometime later during her walk, Lori could see a outline of a moose's burned up body laying in a ditch with its legs stretch out and mouth slightly open revealing it burned tongue stretched out. Lori stopped to look at the body of the large mammal with a very uneasy look, she could tell that this poor thing was caught in the shockwave, then cooked medium rare under the intense heat.

Disgusted Lori turned away from the body and moved on.

Lori groaned when she turned a corner and found a tipped over semi truck blocking the road. She could go around it, but the two hills looked a little steep, plus all this walking has made her exhausted.

A short rest wouldn't hurt her, besides it will recharge her energy to climb up one of those hills. So Lori sat down at the side of the road where she looked through her bag of supplies, to her distain Lori discovered that she didn't have anything to drink. Out of all the things to forget, a drinkable substance was the worst thing to not have, Lori would turn herself into a human pretzel for doing something so stupid.

But okay, no need to beat herself about this dumb mistake, Lori will just have to find something drinkable that's clean. Rivers, streams, and lakes were out as they were most likely polluted by the debris that fell into them, along with sewage water that was most likely pouring out into them, since sewage stations are no more with the power off or just flat out destroyed.

Looking over to the tipped over semi, perhaps it had something to drink in its cargo haul. Lori goes over to the rear of the semi, on the back doors she saw the Target logo on it, which confirms that it was a Target truck, and perhaps it was carrying beverages.

Grabbing the hatch, Lori pulls it open then allowed gravity to pull it down. Looking in Lori couldn't see anything but outlines, pulling out her phone, she turns on the flashlight revealing clothes, appliances, and electronics, but no drinks.

"Seriously! They didn't order a shipment of beverages?" Upset Lori walked back to her bag. What was she to do? You can last weeks without food, but without water or anything else to drink, you won't be expected to last long.

She just had to find something, she would drink anything if she had to, even her not so favorite drink; root beer. Perhaps she could find something pass this truck in one of the abandon cars or a building that with held the shockwave, earthquakes, and fires.

Picking up her bag, Lori proceeds to go around the semi and walk down the road, searching for anything to drink in any car that she came across, but none of the less had no luck in her search. It didn't help that the burned to the bone corpses sometimes looked back at her as she searched their car turned tombs.

After hours of searching and walking, nightfall has finally arrived, of course it was hard to tell with already how dark it was, the only way to tell that it was night is how slightly more darker it got.

Lori took refuge in a abandon car that was thankfully empty of any corpses and right side up. The long walk has left her exhausted, while she didn't find anything to drink, she did however cover a lot of ground.

Royal Woods is still miles away, but still Lori felt proud of herself for how far she went on her first day after leaving that basement. She'll make more process tomorrow, and maybe hopefully she'll find something to drink.

After a groan, Lori settles herself on the seat, which is far more comfortable than the basement floor. Once she was comfortable enough Lori fell asleep.
