I don't own any of this Loud House belongs to Nickelodeon.
The Louds fallowed Margo and the rest of Lynn's roller derby team through the desolate streets of Royal Woods; as they made their way to the middle school. "Alright we should be there in a few minutes." Margo told them.
"That's great Margo!" Lynn called out while giving her best friend a thumbs up.
"You know, this is the first time, I'm actually excited to be going to school." Lola commented.
"You know we really gotta have a chat for your irresponsible behavior young lady." Rita stated.
"Look, leaving the shelter was a stupid idea, I admit that." Lola said.
"Yes, it was. For even though I told you about the potential dangers. You still went out, and we were the ones who faced it." Lisa remarked with a bit of annoyance at the end.
"Well how was I suppose to know that whatever they were called gang would raid you? Besides they would've raided us anyway!" Lola argued.
"If you were inside like you were suppose to be, then we would've been safe because of the lock and steel walls. Plus father wouldn't been injured, also two of our pets would still be alive." Lisa argued back.
Lola stopped in her tracks with shock on her face, she couldn't believe what she had just heard. "What?"
"Yes" Lisa continued. "They killed our Felis varus and our Serinus canaria forma domestica, otherwise known to all of us as Cliff and Walt by shooting them in the heads."
Devastation now hit her hard, those two were part of the family and them just being killed, was to her and she knew for the rest of her family is murdering one of them. "How could they do that!?" Lola shouted.
"Because their evil." Lana bitterly stated.
"What about Charles and Geo?" She asked for she really wanted to know about what happened to them?
"They got away, but we have no idea where they ran off to." Lincoln answered.
This made Lola even more worried for she knew of the other dangers out there. The doberman along with his pack of dogs immediately came to her mind, her dog and hamster were perfect meals for them. The image of the crows eating off the dead man's body emerged, but instead of the man, it was Charles and Geo.
Thinking that could be their fates, along with the deaths of her two other pets, and her dad getting injured because of her actions. It made her feel extremely guilty, she just wanted to get out of that darn shelter, not for everything else that had happen to her family.
Lola went silent from the guilt, the rest of the family were also silent making it rather awkward for Margo and the other girls.
"They got things to short out." The girl in the glasses whispered to a blond hair girl in a ponytail.
"Good thing we're getting close to the school." The ponytail girl replied.
Up ahead a faint glow began to appear as they reach the top of a hill. Once on top the family could feel their eyes widen as they laid their eyes upon the school. The lights on the inside were all turned on with visible outlines of people walking around, they could also see what looked to be barricades made up from dumpsters.
"As you can see." Margo began to explain. "We have some security measures to keep out the Wolf Gang. The dumpsters are only temporarily as we're planning to set up an electric fence some time in the future."
"You manage to make a pretty decent shelter." Lisa complimented.
"Thanks. It took us a week to pull all those dumpsters into place." Margo stated as she remembered pushing one of those dumpsters behind the school. "Anyway let's head in shall we."
They walked down the hill to the front gate, which was really two dumpsters pushed against each other. Margo approaches the left side and did a series of knocks.
"Who goes there?" A familiar, elderly voice called out from behind the gate.
"Wait, Mr. Grouse!?" Lincoln called out.
Their cranky, elderly neighbor's top half appeared from the top of the dumpster gate. He looked down at them in great surprise, "Louds! You survived the apocalypse!"
Lynn Sr. smiled up at his neighbor, relive to see another familiar face. "Sure did neighbor, we survived by taking shelter in Lisa's fallout bunker."
"Oh yeah, that great tin can." Grouse remarked as he remembered that metal eyesore which was built in the Loud's backyard. Seemed like it did it's job on protecting the family from an apocalypse. While he survived by taking shelter in his basement that barely held against the onslaught from the earthquake, rain of molten rock, and the immense heat.
"Looks like we're going to be living together." Lynn Sr. happily stated. Mr. Grouse however didn't look too enthusiastic as he rolled his eyes sarcastically. "Great, that's really peachy."
Mr. Grouse went back down, moments later the dumpster on the left got pulled open, allowing the group to enter the sanctuary.
Walking through the school yard, they saw groups of people talking to themselves which included the grocery store manager who is busy talking to Mrs. Johnson.
No one turn to regard the Loud family as they walked up the stairs that lead to the entrance of the school. Entering the building Margo leads them to the principal's office, where she stopped them just near the door. "Alright you guys stay here. I gotta inform our leader of your arrival." She informed them, before entering the principal's office.
The Louds waited patiently for her to return. "I wonder who the leader is?" Lincoln questioned out loud.
"Most likely mayor Davis." Lisa answered. The others thought about this and nodded in agreement as that was most likely the answer.
Margo opened the door and poked her head out. "He would like to see you now."
He? Okay it wasn't mayor Davis. But then who else could it be?
They entered and walked passed the reception area with Margo leading them. Margo opened the door to the office revealing the last person they thought would ever be leadership material.
"Flip?" They all said at the same time.
The gas station owner, who had his feet up on the principal's desk looked to the Louds in utter surprise. "Oh, hiya Louds! Looks like you made it through."
The shock of this turn of events left them utterly speechless, Lisa broke the silence and swiftly turned to Margo. "Surely this must be a elaborate joke. There's no way that Flip of all people would be the leader."
"Oh, but I am smarty girl." Flip called out in glee.
"But what about mayor Davis? I thought that she would be the leader?" Leni question.
Flip looked down very sadly. "She didn't make it. She sadly got crushed by one of those falling, flaming rocks." He slowly explained. The news saddened Leni for she remembered volunteering for mayor Davis a couple months ago.
"But how are you the leader Flip?" Lincoln asked.
"I understand the confusion your feeling." Flip admitted. "After all I'm just a gas station owner."
"Who's a cheapskate, weasley, con artist." Lisa interrupted.
Flip looked at her with slight annoyance. "Yes, but the disaster had made me a changed man." Lisa narrowed her eyes in disbelief. "Have you?"
"Yeah, forgive me for saying this Flip. But I don't one hundred percent believe you." Rita added in her own suspicion.
"Hey I understand, but you see after I lost the only home/business, I knew that the time for change was upon me, so I had to change and formed this community." Flip explained.
"But how in the heck could people let you be leader?" Lynn asked as she and the others couldn't imagine that it was that easy for others to accept Flip as their leader.
"Believe me it wasn't that easy. I had to do a lot persuading in order to keep people from turning the other way, it didn't work for all though as some guy said that he would rather survive on his own than under my command. Tell you the truth that was rather quite hurtful." Flip further explained.
The Louds still didn't look convinced however. Flip gets himself up from his seat. "Look so far under my leadership, things have been running greatly. We have a good food and water storage thanks to people bringing in whatever they had, we have plenty of space for everyone for the time being, inflatable beds and sleeping bags so you wouldn't be sleeping on the cold floor."
Lola perked her head up slightly. No one slept on just the floor? Okay she was interested.
Flip continues. "We also have, as you already knew running electricity. We have power thanks to the emergency bike powered generators I had installed. Oh, and before I forget a full running medical office, that can certainly help you with your leg there Lynn." Flip pointed out.
Now Lynn perked up in interest as well as the rest of the family, they were really impressed on how much Flip had manage to have here. "So what do you say? You wanna stay?" Flip asked them.
Lynn thought about it. "Well this is quite the facility you have here Flip, and it's definitely more better than anywhere outside where those maniacs are roaming."
"Aw yes, I see you ran into those Wolf Gang folks. I taken that's how you gotten that injury on your leg?" Flip exclaimed.
"You got that right Flip." Lynn replied, he took a glance down to his bandage up leg where he rubbed it gently. "I say that we will join your community."
Flip beamed happily. "Great!" He then turns to address Margo. "Bring our new residents to the cafeteria, they must be hungry with all the action they seen today."
Margo nodded, she headed to the door where she stopped and motion the Louds to fallow, which they do in eagerness over the thought of food, however Lisa stayed for a moment giving Flip a suspicious look. She then left to join her family, leaving Flip to sit back down on his chair where he rested his arms on the desk that once belong to the middle school principal.
As the Loud family were being lead to the cafeteria of their new home, down in Campeche Mexico; Arturo walked through the city streets with a new backpack that he had found in a department store.
During the week; Arturo had been walking through the wasteland that was once the Yucatan's vast jungles. It had been a tough walk with his sunburned arms and the limited supplies that he had scavenge during his trek through the land.
The city of Campeche perked up his spirits once he saw the first top parts of the skyscrapers. Arturo could almost run to the city if his legs weren't sore from all the walking he did for the past few days. Instead he just walked his way down, until he took shelter for the night in the department store, where he got some supplies that will suite him for the next couple days.
Walking through the streets, it was clear that the tsunamis had hit here hard with how everything looked: the department store was a absolute mess, cars could be seen in particular places like lodge in buildings above his head, and of course the debris that littered the streets.
Arturo is also a bit uneasy with how quiet the city is of any human activity, the cries of sea birds were heard clearly along with the squeaks of rats Arturo had seen in several places. It looked like the small rodents were taking full advantage of the absence of humans. Arturo found it a bit funny how the tsunami had seemed to wash out every human, but left the rats alone to rule this city.
But that couldn't be true though, there had to be survivors in this city, there just had to be as the thought of being the only person in this city, well it frighten him greatly, as a city without people is really eerie for any person.
Arturo was brought out of his thoughts when he saw two buses turned on their sides blocking the road in front of him. Arturo looked to the sides of both of them, but couldn't see anywhere to go around it, meaning that he would have to climb them in order to get through.
Now all he needed to do is for something to help him, he turned back the way he came for perhaps one of the alleys he passed earlier could have something; like a dumpster perhaps.
Retracing his steps Arturo looked through the alleys he had passed by, until at last he came upon one that had a dumpster, which unfortunately was on its side.
"Oh, son of a" He muttered to himself.
Slowly Arturo walked over to the dumpster, he walked around it as he inspected for a way to put it back up the right way. He grabbed the handle to right it himself, he heaved with all his might with no anvil, he let go breathing heavily for it was too heavy for him to lift it.
He had to think of something else, he sits himself down on the dumpster in order to think up a solution to this problem.
"Well here we are." Margo exclaimed as she opened up the cafeteria doors.
Stepping into the cafeteria; the Louds were greeted by the smells of something good cooking. The smell instantly had their mouths watering, for after days of eating nothing but uncooked rations for a week their minds immediately tells them to pickup the cooked food and eat it down as slowly as possible.
They rushed over to where the food is being served, upon coming to it they see that what was being served is tomato soup, but they didn't care for they would eat anything that is nice and cooked.
Lynn is the first one to be served the soup, the warm soup steamed from her bowl, Lynn then went off with Margo to catch up with her and the rest of her team. The rest of her family got their bowls of soup and then went to find a table for themselves.
Lincoln looked down to his bowl of tomato soup in hunger, when a series of familiar voices called out to him. "Hey Lincoln!"
Turning to address them, Lincoln smiled brightly upon seeing his four friends: Stella, Rusty, Zach, and Liam waved him over from the table they were sitting at.
"Guys!" Lincoln rushed over to his friends feeling beyond happy that they were alright.
"Boy aren't we glad to see you Lincoln." Stella exclaimed.
"Yeah man! Now the crew is almost fully together again." Rusty added.
"It's good to see you guys to." Lincoln stated, he then looked around for Clyde but he couldn't see any sign of his best friend anywhere. "Is Clyde here?"
"No" Zach stated sadly.
"We don't know where he is?" Rusty added.
"Oh" Lincoln began to feel a little worried for his best friend. "I hope he's ok."
"I'm sure he's fine. After all his dads must've found the most secured shelter in Michigan." Stella reassured.
Thinking about what Stella said comforted Lincoln, he knew that she was right, Clyde's dads with how overprotective they are of him, the two must've took extreme precautions in order to survive from this disaster. But still he wished that he could at least know that Clyde was alright.
"Boy, I thought my farm was going to collapse on top of me when the Earth started shaking." Liam stated.
"Where were you talking shelter at?" Zach asked.
"My family's storm cellar of course. It saved us from twisters, I knew it would save us from the end of the world." Liam answered.
"Well I don't know about you guys, but I thought that I was going to melt from the heat that came." Rusty exclaimed.
"You guys see the rocks falling from the sky?" Zach question the others.
"No, but my house got blown away by something." Stella answered.
"Yeah, my farm is sadly no more: our crops aren't going be able the grow with all this darkness, plus sadly all of our animals were burnt to death or have scattered somewhere." Liam said sadly.
Lincoln listen to his friends closely, he wanted to know what experienced they endured during this disaster. From what he heard; Zach along with his parents had taken shelter in a small cave near the lake where he had witness the shockwave passing overhead, than the molton rocks falling from the sky.
He didn't escape fully unscathed for some burns were visible on his face and arms for being too close to the cave opening.
Than there was Rusty who told them about being hold up with his dad in the back of his dad's store. He then told them about a rock the size of a car smashing through the middle of the store that crushed the mannequins.
"So Lincoln." Stella began, "Where did you take shelter in?"
"In my sister's fallout shelter." He answered.
"Oh that metal thing in your backyard?" Liam question.
"Yeah, we took shelter in it for a week. That was until Lola left the shelter, we went out to look for her, but then those Wolf Gang fellows came and drove us out from our own backyard." Lincoln explained.
"You ran into them?" Zach asked.
Lincoln nodded. "What about one of you guys." His friends shook their heads no, they then explained that they had come here without any trouble from the Wolf Gang, though they did hear plenty of awful stories from those who did had a encounter with them.
As Lincoln talked to his friends, some of the Loud sisters had reunited with their own friends: Luan and Giggles were joking around, Lucy and her mortician club found a dark corner to talk in, Leni chatted with Becky, and Lisa found herself comforting Darcy.
Luna however would receive a nice surprise, for just as she was about to sit down, a pair of arms suddenly wrapped around her from behind. "Luna!"
Luna's heart beat went quick, and her lips widen in a large smile. Luna quickly turned and embraced her girlfriend Sam, "Sam!"
The two lovers held in their embrace for awhile, letting tears of happiness drip onto their shoulder blades, which then leaked down their backs. "I'm so glad that you're ok!" Sam said.
"Same here Sam!" Luna replied.
The two girls released themselves from each other's embrace, the two smiled as they stared into each other's eyes. The two then sat down on a seat that is away from the rest of Luna's family.
The two were very much silent, they just looked at each other thinking about how wonderful it was to see each other after all the horrific events the town had suffered through. "So Luna, how did you survive through the apocalypse?" Sam asked.
"We took shelter in Lisa's bunker. It protected us from everything that nasty rock could throw at us."
"That's great Luna. I'm really glad you, along with the rest of your cool family made it." Sam stated before suddenly drawing a sad expression.
"Is everything alright dude?" Luna asked, though she dreaded to hear the answer, to doubly confirmed this Luna saw tears beginning to form in her girlfriend's eyes.
"Simon didn't make it." Sam now began to openly weep. This came as a big shocker for Luna, she could hardly believe what she had just heard.
Simon who she knew was a good kid from the amount of time she saw him while she dated his older sister. He was kind, and she could definitely see him as a friend to her own little bro from the video games he played.
This must've devastated her girlfriend, for Sam had a very tight relationship with her bro. Luna could imagine how Sam was feeling right now with the loss of him, she would already knew how she would feel if her bro or any of her younger sisters lives were taken away.
Luna took Sam into her arms, she let her cry into her chest, she didn't care that her shirt was getting covered in snot and wet tears, instead she slowly rubbed the back of Sam's back.
Luna hated seeing her girlfriend like this, it made her hate the asteroid that caused this mess. Why couldn't that dam rock miss the Earth? Better yet, why couldn't the army blow it up with one of their nukes?
"Luna! Why did it have to be him! He was just so young and had a long life ahead of him! It just isn't fair!" Sam cried. Luna gently strokes the back of Sam's hair while slowly rocking her back and forth without saying a word.
Back in Campeche; Arturo is walking down another street looking up at a overpass that had a semi truck; who's front wheels are hanging at the edge.
After failing to find a way to get the dumpster right side up, he decided to just screw it and go down a different street. Now here he was, standing underneath a overpass with a semi hanging above him. In front of him is a car pile up, but fortunately unlike the buses earlier, Arturo could easily maneuver around these vehicles.
Arturo walked over to them, he climb over them with ease, of course while being careful of any glass on the broken windshields, or the side glass. He gets atop of a red Ferrari where he then stepped on the bottom of a flipped over Honda.
Pretty soon he got to the other side of the pile up, ahead of him were the people Arturo had been searching for. Unfortunately they weren't exactly living, they were sprawled out on the street, posed in many different death positions with some having items impaled through their bodies.
It was a sight for shore eyes for poor Arturo, he judged that these poor souls must've got caught in the ferocious waves of the tsunami. Slowly with much hesitation Arturo began walk through the street of the dead, the smell of decay hit him hard, and the sound of flies could clearly be heard as they buzzed around the bodies.
The flies weren't the only ones who took interest in the bodies though, Arturo had to hold in his lunch as he saw a group of rats eating a women's, (who he guessed to be around in her twenties), face and neck. They squeaked as they gouged down on the women's flesh, Arturo stood there in disgust over the scene.
Alerted to his presence the rats suddenly turn to face him, then scampered off to hide with some carrying strips of flesh in their mouths. Not being able to hold in his lunch anymore, Arturo leaned down and puked up a great deal of stomach acid that left a very foul taste in his mouth.
He stood there on the street, bent over as he held onto his knees feeling green around the gills. He needed to get off of this street and get as far away from the dead bodies as much as possible.
Before he could even move however, the sound of thunder boomed overhead. Arturo looked up at the sky, drops of acid rain slowly began to drip down all around him. Panic for his own safety now fills Arturo, he quickly rushes into a parking garage, he just about made it when it began to pour down.
Arturo utterly groaned as this rain was going to be delaying him on his journey home. He needed to find a way to move through the rain, he also needed to travel more faster as walking was taking a whole bunch of time.
He looked back to the garage for perhaps there is still a working car somewhere around here, certainly not in the first floors, but certainly a much better chance on the upper floors. So that's what he did, Arturo moved to the six floor of the parking garage where many cars were parked where their owners last left them.
Arturo looked inside each of them, but of course the owners have taken the keys with them, when they left their cars. "Vamos, isn't there anyone who left their car keys in their vehicles?" He stated in frustration where he then gave a hard kick to a rear tire of a Ford.
Arturo walked to the very back of the sixth floor, he peered into another vehicle and smiled upon finally seeing a pair of keys in the ignition.
A red Jeep drove out of the city, acid rain showers harmlessly down the windshield, and the tires moved smoothly through the asphalt.
Arturo smiled inside the Jeep as now he is traveling more faster than he was while traveling on foot. If he kept up this pace, he should be reaching Tabasco at about three days give or take.
The only thing that he knew was a problem is finding gas for the Jeep, it was no doubt that gas is going to be hard to come by since most have likely been burned up during the intense heat.
But until that problem comes, Arturo was simply going to enjoy riding in this Jeep that just past the tipped over sign that read, "You are now leaving Campeche."
