Hey everyone, I'm back with another chapter here. Well we officially passed 800 followers, which is totally insane. Plus we're closing in on 600 reviews. You guys are awesome for your continued support. Okay, before I get to the fic I have to say one thing. Please don't PM me or leave a review, demanding that I release a chapter or that I write one. I find this extremely irritating, and somewhat offensive. I write when I have time, and when I feel like it. Sometimes when I come home after a long day of school/work I just want to kick back and relax instead of writing. Some days I just don't have the motivation or drive to write anything, or I get hit with a serious case of writer's block. Plus I'm currently writing three other stories, so I have to make time for all of my stories. So please just be patient, a chapter will eventually come if you wait. I'm much better at updating than some authors on this site, who go completely awol for months at a time, which is the case for a lot of stories I follow XD. Generally you have to guys have to wait a week and a half to two weeks per chapter. So I thank you all for your continued patience. Without further delay, let's get to the fic.

"Ah, it will be quite nice to see my brothers again after such a long time away!" Cilan cheered, as he looked up from his map.
"Yeah it will be great to see Chili and Cress again." Ash said with a grin. "I can't wait to battle you three again, especially you Cilan."
"Oh, I look forward to our battle as well Ash." Cilan said with a smile. "I just hope I fair better than last time."
"Just give it your all, and you'll do great Cilan," Flannery piped in.
"HEY!" Ash exclaimed with a childish pout. "Who's side are you on?!"
Flannery giggled and kissed Ash on the cheek.
"I'm on both your sides you big baby." Flannery said, earning another pout from Ash.
"Well I'll be rooting for Cilan." Burgundy said, as she hugged Cilan's arm.
"Good, I didn't want your support anyways." Ash said, as he turned his head away from Burgundy.
"That's great, because I wasn't gonna support you." Burgundy said, as she glared at Ash.
"Sweet!" Ash exclaimed, as he wiped his head around and returned Burgundy's glare.
"Good!" Burgundy replied, as she gripped Cilan's arm tighter.
"Fine!"
Sparks were coursing between Ash and Burgundy as they glared at each other.
"Uh Burgundy, could you ease up a little?" Cilan asked with a sweatdrop. "You're kinda crushing my arm."
But Burgundy ignored Cilan, and continued her glaring contest with Ash.
"I really wish both of them would grow up." Iris sighed, as she pinched the bridge of her nose. "And I was just starting to think that Ash was becoming more mature."
"If Ash hasn't matured yet, it probably will never happen." Anabel said with a small smile.
"Well that's Ash for you," Roxie said with a grin. "It would be weird for Ash to act mature all of a sudden."
"Plus it's more fun this way." Dawn said as she smiled at Ash.
"I'd have to agree with Dawn." Cynthia said, as she flipped some stray blond hair out of her eyes. "Things would be rather dull if we didn't have Ash to liven things up."
"Yeah, I guess your right." Iris admitted with another sigh, but a smile quickly spread across her face. "Ash wouldn't be Ash if he wasn't acting like an little kid."
"HEY! I can still hear you all!" Ash complained, causing Burgundy to snigger. "I'm definitely mature!"
Everyone tried suppress their laughter at Ash's outburst.
"Aw come on I can be mature!" Ash exclaimed, as he looked up at Pikachu. "Come on buddy, I'm mature right?"
"Pika pi pikachu." Pikachu answered, as he shook his head.
"Not you too man," Ash said, as he hung his head in defeat. "I have no back up."
"Aw cheer up Ash!" Roxie exclaimed, as she gave Ash a noogie. "We'll be in Striaton City soon. Once we get there you can battle Cilan and his brothers, and earn your seventh win."
"That's right!" Ash said, instantly perking up. "Win number 7 here I come!"
With that exclamation Ash was took off down the route towards Striaton City.
"Should we even try to keep up with him?" May asked with a sigh.
"No way, we'll be there in like ten minutes if we keep up this pace." Burgundy said, as she put her hands on her hips. "Let that idiot wear himself out."
"That's the problem, Ash doesn't really get worn out that easily." Dawn explained with a sweat drop. "We're gonna have to deal with amped up Ash for awhile."
"This sure is an interesting group." Lyra said to herself, as she followed behind Cynthia. "But it definitely is very exciting."
"Thank you for letting me travel with your group, Ash." Lyra thought with a small smile. "Because of you, I've completely forgotten what happened between me and Khoury. I think I'm almost ready to head off on my own again. While I'm on my own, I'll be able to explore these feelings I have for you."
"Hey Lyra?" May asked, as she snapped her fingers in front of Lyra's face. "Are you okay? You're kinda spacing out on us."
"Oh, it's nothing!" Lyra said quickly, as she waved her hands dismissively. "I was just thinking about some things."
"Alright, just try not space out too much, we're gonna be in Striaton City soon." May explained, as she turned back around.
Just then May's Snorlax popped out of it's ball.
"GAH! Snorlax, what are you doing?!" May yelled in surprise. "You haven't done something like this in a while!"
Snorlax ignored May, and lumbered over to a tree full of Oran berries. The Sleeping Pokemon reach up and grabbed a branch that was loaded with berries. With content smile, Snorlax tore the branch from the tree and laid flat on its back. Snorlax then started to inhale Oran Berries.
"Ugh! I just fed you twenty minutes ago!" May said in exasperation, as she raised Snorlax's Pokeball. "Then after you ate, you went and took some of Delcatty and Glaceon's food! You're lucky I stopped you before you ate any of Blaziken's food. He would have gotten really pissed, and then he would have beaten the crap out of you."
The whole time May had been speaking, Snorlax had been shoveling Oran berries into its mouth.
"*Sigh* You're not even listening." May said, as she pressed the return button on her Pokeball. But before the red beam could hit Snorlax, the eating Pokemon rolled over onto it's side. This caused the red beam to miss Snorlax. "AH! Come on man!"
May tried several more times to capture Snorlax. But each time The Sleeping Pokemon would roll out of the way, or somehow escape being returned. After each failed attempt, May would let out a string of angry expletives.
"GAH! YOU MOTHERFUCKING PIECE OF TAUROS SHIT! GET IN THIS DAMN BALL RIGHT NOW!" May yelled in fury after another failed attempt to return Snorlax.
Everyone watched the display with sweat drops.
"Ugh, how does May keep missing such a big target?" Flannery asked, as she scratched her head.
"This perplexes me as well." Anabel said with an arched eyebrow.
"ARCEUS DAMNIT!" May exclaimed off in the distance. "I'M GONNA KILL YOU SNORLAX!"
"I guess we should probably go help her." Cilan said with a sigh, as he followed after May.
"Yeah, we need to help her before she sends Blaziken after Snorlax." Dawn said with a suppressed giggle.
Lyra watched the whole scene unfold with a mix of confusion and amusement.
"Huh, this definitely is an interesting group." Lyra said, as she watched May hold up Snorlax's Pokeball triumphantly.
With the help of Dawn and Cilan, May managed to corner Snorlax and finally capture the eating Pokemon.
"I'm sending you back to Professor Juniper's lab, as soon as we get into Striaton City." May said, as a tic mark formed on her head. "I'll let her deal with your outrageous eating habits."
With a annoyed huff, May clipped Snorlax's ball back onto her belt.
(Striaton City)
After the whole debacle with Snorlax, the rest of Ash's group had finally arrived in Striaton City. Cilan quickly took charge, and lead the group through the city. Within no time the group was outside the gym, where they found Ash impatiently waiting for them.
"What took you guys so long?" Ash asked, as he tapped his foot.
"Well you did kinda run off without us." Anabel answered with a sweat drop.
"So," Ash said with a raised eyebrow. "You guys usually keep up with me pretty well."
"Well my Snorlax got out again, and it caused us a little trouble." May explained, as she rubbed the back of her head in embarassment. "I thought he was done doing things like that, but I guess old habits die hard."
"Ah, I see." Ash said, as he rubbed his chin. "Anyways I'm glad all of you are alright, I was actually starting to get a little worried."
"Aw how sweet, little Ashy was worrying about us." Burgundy said in a sarcastic tone.
"Hey, I know we argue a lot Burgundy, but I do care about you." Ash said, making Burgundy's eyes widen. "We might fight, you're still my friend."
"W-Wow Ash, that actually means a lot to me." Burgundy said, as her cheeks tinged pink. "Maybe you're more mature than I thought."
"You're still annoying as all hell though." Ash said with a wicked grin.
"DAMNIT! I take everything back!" Burgundy yelled in anger. "You're still just a stupid little brat!"
"HAHA! Calm down Burgundy, I was just messing with you." Ash explained with a smile. "Plus I know you like hanging out with me."
"Tch, whatever let's just get your stupid gym battle over with." Burgundy said, as she crossed her arms over her chest and turned her chin indignantly. However Ash didn't miss the small smile that Burgundy tried to hide.
"Alright! Let's get this battle started!" Ash cheered, as he looked up at Pikachu. "You ready buddy?"
"Pika!" Pikachu cheered back, as he raised his small fist.
"That's what I like to hear!" Ash exclaimed with a grin, before he turned to face Cilan. "Are you ready for this Cilan? Because I expect a good battle from you."
"Oh, I'm more than ready Ash." Cilan replied with his own grin. "I plan to serve you a battle that you'll never forget."
"We'll see about that." Ash said, as he turned back towards the gym. "Let's go!"
Letting out a cheer, Ash ran up the steps to the gym and burst through the front doors. But instead of a normal gym, Ash ran right into the middle of a busy restaurant. All the patrons turned to face with confused looks on their faces.
"Shit, I forgot that this place was a restaurant too!" Ash hissed, as his faced burned red in embarassment.
"Uh, can I help you sir?" A waiter asked with a raised eyebrow.
"Yeah, I'm here for a gym battle." Ash answered, making all restaurant patron's eyes light up in excitement.
"Oh, so you're a challenger than?" The waiter said with a grin, as he snapped his fingers. Suddenly a wall near the back of the restaurant slid away, and revealed the battlefield behind it. "Well then I welcome you to the Striaton City gym. Chili and Cress will be with you shortly."
With a quick bow, the waiter had left to get Chili and Cress. A few moments after the waiter left, a new voice boomed throughout the restaurant.
"So I here we have a challenger!" Chili exclaimed, as he suddenly appeared out of a cloud of smoke, his back turned to Ash.
"And it looks like our challenger is a familiar face." Cress said with a smile.
"Oh," Chili responded with a raised eyebrow. He turned around, and his eyes widened when he saw Ash. "Hey Ash! It's been a while hasn't it?!"
"Yeah it has," Ash said as he shook Cress and Chili's hands. "It's great to see you both, and the restaurant looks like it's doing great."
"Why thank you Ash," Cress said with a nod.
"So where's our brother and his girlfriend?" Chili asked, barely containing his excitement.
Just then the rest of Ash's group walked into the gym.
"CILAN!" Chili cheered when he saw his brother. Immediately Chili ran up, and pulled Cilan into a tight hug. "I missed you man."
"Uh, I missed you too Chili." Cilan said, as he started to turn blue. "But you're kinda crushing me."
"OH!" Chili exclaimed, releasing Cilan from the hug. Cilan took a heavy intake of breath, and smiled at his overexcited brother. "Sorry about that, it's just been a while since we've seen you."
"I know, and I'm sorry for not dropping by," Cilan apologized. "We've just been very busy traveling with Ash, so we haven't had much free time."
"We're just glad you're back." Cress said, as he too hugged Cilan.
"Speaking of Ash," Chili said as he turned to face the raven-haired trainer. "You've really been tearing it up out there. You're like champion of what two leagues now!"
"Actually it's three." Ash corrected, making Chili's eyes widen.
"What?! I thought you were only the Hoenn and Sinnoh champion!" Chili exclaimed in disbelief.
"I'm actually the Kalos region champion as well, but I entered that league under a fake name," Ash explained.
"Why would you do something like that?" Cress asked with a quirked blue eyebrow.
"I didn't want anyone to know that I was challenging leagues again." Ash continued, as he shrugged his shoulders.
"Ah, I see" Cress said as realization dawned on him. "Cilan explained to us what happened with your friends, so that makes sense."
"Yeah, I don't really want to talk about that, brings up some bad memories." Ash said looking down at the floor, as he rubbed his arm.
"We understand," Cress said with a small smile. "So I take it you're for a battle."
Almost instantly Ash's mood did a 180, and he was smiling again.
"You bet I am!" Ash cheered. "I'm taking on the Unova league, and the Striaton City gym is one of my last stops. I only need one more win after this one."
"That's odd, we were your first gym on your original trip through Unova." Chili said, as he rubbed his chin.
"That's true, but we're kinda just bouncing around Unova." Ash explained, as he rubbed the back of his head. "We're not going to the gyms in the order I did in my first go through."
"Okay that makes sense. Now if you'll follow us, we can get this battle started." Cress said, as he gestured to the battlefield. "Would you like to take all three of us on again like last time?"
"No, I'll take all each of you on one-by-one." Ash replied, but he turned to face Cilan a grin spread across his face. "But against you Cilan, I want a three on three match. I want to battle those two new Pokemon you've caught."
"New Pokemon?" Chili asked, directing his question towards Cress.
Cress just shook his head and shrugged.
"I'll agree to those terms." Cilan said with a smile.
"Great! So," Ash said as he pulled out a Pokeball. "Who wants to go first?"
"I'll take you on first Ash." Chili said, as he stepped forward. "I've been itching for good battle recently, and you're just the guy to give me one."
"Alright Chili bring it on!" Ash exclaimed, as he ran towards his side of the battlefield.
"This will be a one-on-one battle between the gym leader, Chili, and the challenger Ash Ketchum! Trainers bring out your Pokemon!"
"Alright Ash let's get this battle started!" Chili cheered, as he pulled out a Pokeball. "Simisear, time to light this battle up!"
The Ember Pokemon let out a wave of flames, as it materialized in a flash of red.
"I'll let you have the type advantage Chili." Ash said with wicked grin. "Leavanny I choose you!"
The Nurturing Pokemon bowed to its opponent after he appeared in front of Ash.
"Simisear vs. Leavanny, battle begin!"
"It wasn't wise to use a Pokemon that is doubly weak to fire-types Ash." Chili commented with a raised eyebrow.
"Hey I gotta go back to my roots sometimes." Ash said with a smile. "Plus I like a little challenge every now and then."
"Well don't come crying to me when you lose this battle." Chili said with a grin.
"We'll see about that Chili." Ash said, as he twisted his hat backwards.
"Oh, getting serious are we? Then let's get this battle going!" Chili exclaimed, as he pointed at Leavanny. "Simisear use Flame Burst."
Simisear inhaled deeply before it spit out several balls of fire. The small balls of fire raced towards Leavanny, but the Nurturing Pokemon looked unfazed.
"Leavanny use String Shot to dodge!"
Reacting quickly, Leavanny shot a String Shot onto the ceiling. Just before Flame Burst hit, Leavanny pulled itself up off the ground. Flame Burst landed where Leavanny had just been. The balls of fire exploded into waves of flame after they hit the ground.
"You just made yourself an easy target! Simisear use Flamethrower."
Again Simisear suck in a large breath of air, before it started to spit out a continuous stream of searing flames.
"Leavanny use Protect."
The Nurturing Pokemon surrounded itself with a protective sphere of energy, as it hung from the ceiling. But Simisear didn't let up, and continued to spew flames at Leavanny. After almost a full minute Simisear stopped using Flamethrower. It was panting slightly after using so much energy continuously.
"Now while Simisear is tired, Leavanny use Toxic."
Chili's eyes widened as he watched Leavanny drop Protect and fall from the ceiling. As soon as Leavanny hit the ground, it spit a glob of purple goo at Simisear. The Ember Pokemon was too exhausted to dodge, and was hit with the toxic sludge. Simisear groaned in pain as the poisonous material coated its body, and it could already feel the poison racing through its system.
"So that was his plan, to wear me out before he counter attacked. He plans to stall me out until the poison overwhelms Simisear." Chili thought, as he tried to come up with a strategy. "My only option is to keep up the pressure, and try to get some damage done before Simisear is knocked out."
"Simisear we have to go strong, and get some hits in! So charge in and use Fire Punch."
The Ember Pokemon coated its fist in flames before it charged Leavanny head on.
"So he's just gonna bum rush me, and just try to lay into Leavanny. Hmm, not a bad strategy, sometimes brute force is the best option." Ash thought, as Leavanny ducked away from Simisear's Fire Punch.
"Simisear with to Flame Charge."
The Ember Pokemon jumped away from Leavanny, and surrounded its whole body in flames. Then Simisear soared forward at an incredible speed. Leavanny barely managed to dive out of the flaming Pokemon's way. After Simisear flew past Leavanny, it collapsed to one knee as it was affected by the poison in its body.
"This is it. Simisear only has a little bit of juice left in him, so we have to go all in." Chili thought, as Simisear stood back up.
"Okay Simisear, use the last of your energy and use back to back Fire Punches."
Simisear raced towards Leavanny at an incredible speed. The Ember Pokemon was almost a blur, as it swung a flaming fist at Leavanny. Reacting quickly, Leavanny managed to dodge the first punch. However Simisear kept up its assault relentlessly. Eventually the Ember Pokemon started to land punches, and Leavanny started to get pushed back. The Nurturing Pokemon screamed in pain, as several searing punches connected with its gut.
"Leavanny hang in there!" Ash yelled frantically, as Leavanny took another punch to the side.
Hearing his trainers words, Leavanny refocused and attempted to keep dodging Simisear's attacks.
"This taking a lot longer than I thought it was," Ash thought as Leavanny rolled away from one of Simisear's attacks. "I have to get an attack in to speed this up."
"Leavanny use Shadow Claw!"
The Nurturing Pokemon weaved away from one of Simisear's punches. As Simisear cocked its fist back to strike again, Leavanny raised one of its razor like leaf hands and coated it in ghostly energy. Both Pokemon attacked at the same time, and both their attacks struck simultaneously. Leavanny managed to strike Simisear in the side of the head, while Simisear hit Leavanny in the gut. Both Pokemon went wide eyed, as they were hit by the attacks. Leavanny collapsed to the ground, as he struggled to breath. While Simisear stumbled back, clutching its throbbing head. Suddenly Simisear was hit by another blast of poison, and it fell to the ground.
Both Leavanny and Simisear laid on the ground, panting heavily. They both looked at each other, and after a moment shared a grin, before they both fell unconscious.
"Both Pokemon are unable, so the battle is a draw. However the gym leader may determine whether the challenger deserves the win or not." The official said, as she looked at Chili for conformation.
"Ah what the hell, that was a a great battle. Give Ash the win." Chili said with a smile.
"The gym leader has declared Ash Ketchum the winner!"
"Thanks Chili," Ash said as he shook the red-haired man's hand.
"Aw, don't mention it Ash." Chili said with a grin. "You deserve the win, plus I want to watch you battle my brothers."
"Well you pretty impressive yourself," Ash complimented. "Your Simisear is really strong."
"Thanks Ash, that means a lot coming from you." Chili said, as he rubbed the back of his head. "Well you better get ready, it looks like Cress is ready to battle you."
Ash looked past Chili, and saw that Cress indeed was waiting for him.
"Huh, your right." Ash said, as grin spread across his face. "Time for round two!"
With that cheer Ash ran back to his side of the battlefield.
"The one-on-one battle between the gym leader, Cress, and the challenger Ash Ketchum will begin! Trainers please bring out your Pokemon!"
"Simipour it's time to rain on Ash's Parade." Cress called out, as he threw his Pokeball.
The Geyser Pokemon let out a cheer, as it materialized in front of Cress.
"Just like with Chili I'm gonna let you have the type advantage, Cress." Ash said, as he unclipped a Pokeball from his belt. "Emboar I choose you!"
The Mega Fire Pig Pokemon let out a mighty roar, as it appeared in a flash of light. Emboar punched its fist together, causing flames to shoot out of its hands. This signaled that Emboar was fired up, and ready to battle.
"Simipour vs. Emboar, battle begin!"
"You may have the first move Cress." Ash said with a grin.
"Don't get cocky with me Ash. I'll defiantely give you a run for your money," Cress chastised. "Simipour start off with Rain Dance."
The Geyser Pokemon started to wave its arms and started to dance in a rhythmic motion. Soon a series of dark clouds had formed over the battlefield. Almost immediately rain had started to fall from the clouds. The droplets turned to steam, as they hit Emboar's burning body.
"A little rain won't scare us off! Emboar use Thunder Punch!."
Emboar snorted, causing flames to shoot out of its nose, before it charged Simipour. Electricity crackled off Emboar's fist as it charged the Geyser Pokemon.
"Simipour use Hydro Pump."
Simipour's cheeks swelled up, as it gathered water in its mouth. Once it gathered enough water, Simipour fired a powerful torrent of water at the charging Emboar.
"Emboar punch the Hydro Pump!"
Cocking its fist back, Emboar used Thunder Punch to strike Simipour's Hydro Pump. As soon as Emboar's electrified fist struck the stream of water, an electric current raced through the water. The electricity streamed through the rushing water, and struck Simipour. The Geyser Pokemon howled in pain, as electricity coursed through its body. Emboar wasn't left unscathed however. The Mega Fire Pig Pokemon panted, as water bubbled of its body turning into steam.
"That was an incredible strategy." Cress thought, as he watched electricity spark off Simipour. "He used the water a conduit to channel the electricity, amazing."
Simipour now stood on shaky legs, as it flinched in pain. Random jolts of electricity still randomly firing off its body.
"Oh no, Simipour is paralyzed. Now we can't use speed to our advantage," Cress thought in irritation.
"Great, now that Simipour is paralyzed use Grass Knot!"
Emboar reared up, and slammed its fists into the ground. Several blades of grass sprang out of the ground, and tried to wrap themselves around Simipour's legs.
"Simipour try to dodge it!" Cress called out frantically.
As soon as Simipour tried to move it grunted in pain, as it was hit by its paralysis. The grass successfully wrapped around Simipour's legs, and caused the Geyser Pokemon to fall to the ground. Simipour strained against the grass, and tried to stand up. But the Grass Knot held strong, and kept Simipour pinned to the ground.
"Emboar finish this with Wild Charge!"
Emboar coated its body in powerful electricity, as it charged Simipour. The Geyser Pokemon frantically struggled against the grass, as Emboar barreled towards it.
"Simipour calm down and use Scald."
Simipour stopped its thrashing, and raised its head. Just before Emboar hit, Simipour fired a boiling stream of water from its mouth. The searing water hit Emboar, and caused the Pokemon to grunt in pain. But Emboar pushed forward, and collided with Simipour. The Geyser Pokemon roared in pain, as the super-effective move hit. An electrical wave exploded outward, as Simipour was engulfed in electricity. When the electricity died down Simipour was still on the ground, unconscious. Emboar was panting hard, as it fell to one knee. Electricity sparked off Emboar, as it took recoil damage.
"Simipour is unable to battle, the winner is Emboar! The challenger Ash Ketchum is the winner!"
Cress sighed in defeat, as he raised his Pokeball and returned Simipour. The blue-haired gym leader watched Ash fist bump Emboar. Ash was smiling triumphantly, as he returned Emboar to his Pokeball.
"That was quite an impressive battle Ash." Cress complimented, as he shook Ash's hand.
"Thanks Cress, you weren't bad yourself." Ash said with a smile.
"No need to compliment me Ash." Cress said with a chuckle. "You absolutely destroyed me that battle."
"Well I have been working on Emboar's strength a lot." Ash said, as he rubbed the back of his head.
"I can tell," Cress said with a laugh. "Now you still have one more opponent to face."
Ash grinned when he saw Cilan take his place on his side of the battlefield.
"Alright I've been waiting for this battle!" Ash cheered, as he ran back to his side of the field. "Cilan I want to face those two Pokemon you've caught."
"If you say so Ash." Cilan said with a grin, as he unclipped a Cherish Ball from his belt.
"I wonder what new Pokemon Ash is talking about." Chili commented, as he watched Cilan enlarge his Cherish Ball.
"I too an intrigued, and I've never seen a Pokeball like that." Cress said, as he rubbed his chin.
"The two-on-two battle between the gym leader, Cilan, and the challenger Ash Ketchum will commence! Trainer please bring out your first Pokemon!"
"I've been waiting to battle with this Pokemon." Cilan said with a smirk. "So let's get this battle started. Uxie come on out!"
Both Cress and Chili's jaws dropped when they saw the legendary Pokemon appear in front of Cilan.
"When did Cilan catch that thing?!" Chili asked with a look of pure shock.
"I-I have no idea." Cress said, as he stared at the Knowledge Pokemon in wonder.
"Sweet I've been waiting to battle you Uxie." Ash said with a grin, as he unclipped a ball from his belt. "Azelf I choose you!"
"Ash has one too?!" Chili exclaimed in utter disbelief.
"Ah, a battle between two on the Lake Guardians." Cilan commented, as he rubbed his chin. "This is sure to be an interesting battle."
"Uxie vs. Azelf, battle begin!"
"Uxie start things off with Knock Off." Cilan called out, waisting no time in calling out an attack.
Uxie's two tails glowed, as dark energy flowed through them. Then with impressive speed, Uxie flew towards Azelf.
"Dodge it," Ash called out. Azelf easily dodged the attack by floating above Uxie. "Now use a Dark Pulse Flamethrower Combo!"
Cilan's eyes widened, as he watched Azelf fire a powerful Dark Pulse with a stream of flames shooting through the middle of it. The combo attack hit Uxie, and caused the legendary Pokemon to grunt in pain.
"Wait! Azelf can't learn Dark Pulse." Cilan said in confusion.
"Well it just used it." Ash teased with a knowing grin.
"I know Azelf can't use Dark Pulse, but it just used it on Azelf." Cilan thought, as he watched Azelf start to giggle. "That's it!"
"Uxie use Signal Beam!"
The Knowledge Pokemon spun around, and fired a beam of bug energy at Azelf. The Willpower Pokemon had no time to dodge, as the attack hit home. Everyone, except Cilan and Ash, was surprised to see Azelf start to fade and flicker away. Soon Azelf was replaced by a grinning Zoroark.
"So I was right." Cilan said with a triumphant smug smile. "It was your Zoroark after all."
"Wow you figured that out pretty quick Cilan." Ash complimented with a grin. "But it won't help you. Zoroark use Night Daze!"
The Illusion Fox Pokemon roared, as a wave of dark energy erupted from its body. The attack hit Uxie, and immediately the Knowledge Pokemon collapsed to the ground. Uxie wasn't knocked out, but it was moving around erratically.
"Uxie snap out of it!" Cilan called out frantically. "What's happening?!"
"He's caught in Zoroark's illusion." Ash said with a smirk. "Uxie is seeing whatever Zoroark wants it to see, and it's confusing the poor guy."
"Uxie you have to get out of that illusion now!" Cilan exclaimed, trying to free Uxie. "Please listen to my voice, and escape the illusion."
Suddenly Uxie groggily floated off the ground. The Knowledge Pokemon clutched its head in pain, as a searing headache throbbed in its head.
"Good job Uxie!" Cilan cheered with a smile. "Now let's get back into the fight! Use Dazzling Gleam."
Uxie refocused, and placed its hands on the gem on its head. The gem glowed brightly, as fairy energy was channeled through it. A blinding pink light filled the battlefield, as Zoroark was hit with the fairy energy. The Illusion Fox Pokemon howled in pain, as the super-effective move hit. When the pink light died down, Zoroark was on the ground unconscious.
"We did it!" Cilan cheered, as a massive smile spread across his face.
But Cilan's celebrations were cut short, when he heard Ash laughing. Cilan looked at Ash, to see that the raven-haired trainer was smirking at him.
"What are you so happy about? You lost." Cilan said, returning Ash's smirk.
"Oh really?" Ash said, as his smirk widened.
"Yeah, Zoroark is unconscious. Which means I win." Cilan said with a raised eyebrow.
"Are eyes can be very deceiving." Ash said, as he snapped his fingers.
Immediately the battlefield around Cilan started to melt and face away. Cilan's eyed widened when he saw Zoroark standing up and giggling. Then Cilan gasped when he saw Uxie on the ground in front of him unconscious.
"H-How?" Cilan stuttered out in shock.
"You were caught in Zoroark's illusion as well." Ash explained, making Cilan's eyes widen further. "You were seeing exactly what Zoroark wanted you to see. You thought you had one, while in actuality you've lost."
"I-Incredible," Cress whispered in disbelief.
"Uxie is unable to battle, the winner is Zoroark. Gym leader, bring out your last Pokemon!"
Cilan silently returned Uxie, and clipped his Cherish Ball back to his belt. He then grabbed the other Cherish Ball on his belt. Cilan looked down at the ball, as a wave of determination flowed through him.
"I'm not going down without a fight!" Cilan exclaimed, as he threw his ball. "Come on out Genesect."
The Paleozoic appeared in a flash in front of Cilan. Genesect's large cannon sprang out of its back.
"WHAT! He has another legendary Pokemon!?" Chili exclaimed in astonishment.
Cress remained silent, as he was too stunned to speak.
"I've wanted to battle with guy for a while now." Ash said, as he enlarged a Cherish Ball. "Genesect I choose you!"
Chili and Cress were both stunned to see a second Genesect appear. But they were also surprised to see that Ash's Genesect was red, unlike Cilan's which was purple.
"Genesect vs. Genesect, battle commence!"
"Genesect quick use Flame Charge."
Ash's Genesect engulfed its body in fire, as it shot towards its opponent.
"You use Flame Charge as well."
Cilan's Genesect charged forward as well, with flames licking its body. Both Pokemon clashed, causing flames to spurt outwards. After a few moments both Pokemon backed off, as they briefly glowed red signaling that their speed had risen.
"Genesect use Flamethrower."
Cilan's Genesect inhaled deeply, before it exhaled an intense stream of fire.
"Use Techno Blast Douse Drive."
Ash's Genesect charged the cannon on its back, the drive in the cannon changing from electric to water. The Paleozoic Pokemon fired a powerful beam of water energy. Techno Blast hit Flamethrower head on. Both attacks struggled for a moment, but Techno Blastwon out. The attack extinguished the Flamethrower, and hit Cilan's Genesect. The Pokemon groaned in pain, as the attack hit.
"Genesect use Blizzard."
Cilan's Genesect gathered itself before it launched a wall of snow and blistering wind at Ash's Genesect.
"Counter Blizzard with Flamethrower."
The red Genesect fired a torrent of fire at the oncoming blizzard. Again both attacks clashed, and again Ash's attack won. The Flamethrower quickly melted away the Blizzard. But the attack had been severely weaken, so it didn't do too much damage when it hit Cilan's Genesect.
"Genesect won't last much longer." Cilan observed, as he watched his Genesect pant heavily. "He maybe has enough juice for one more attack, so I have to make it count."
"Genesect put all your remaining strength into Techno Blast Burn Drive."
Cilan's Genesect charged the powerful fire-type, as it prepared to fire.
"I like the way you think Cilan." Ash said with a grin. "Genesect you use Techno Blast Burn Drive too!"
Ash's red Genesect started to charge up its attack as well.
"FIRE!" Both Ash and Cilan exclaimed simultaneously.
Both Genesect fired their powerful beams of fire-type energy. Both attacks collided, sending out a hot shockwave throughout the gym. Ash and Cilan's Genesect started to put more power into their attacks, as they tried to beat out the other. But Ash's Genesect was still relatively unscathed, and was able to put more power into its attack. Eventually the red Genesect's attack started to gain ground. Until Techno Blast hit Cilan's Genesect. The Paleozoic Pokemon was engulfed in a fiery explosion for a few moments. When the flames died down, Cilan's Genesect was on the ground unconscious.
"Cilan's Genesect is unable to continue, so the winner is Ash's Genesect. Since all of Cilan's Pokemon are unable to battle, the winner is the challenger Ash Ketchum!"
Ash let out a loud cheer, as he ran up and hugged Genesect.
"You did your best." Cilan said with a small smile, as he returned his own Genesect.
"That was quite the battle, Ash." Cilan said, as he walked up to Ash.
"You're Genesect was awesome too Cilan." Ash said, as he returned his red Genesect.
"Yes I'm proud that he did so well, but it looks like we'll have to train some more." Cilan explained with a sad smile.
"Oh, don't give me that look Cilan." Ash said with a toothy grin. "We're definitely gonna battle again."
"I'm gonna hold you to that Ash." Cilan said with a grin of his own, as he shook Ash's hand.
"AH! It was great to see my brothers once again." Cilan said with a content smile, as the group exited Striaton City.
"So what's our next stop Ash?" Cynthia asked with a smile.
"We're heading to Nacrene City." Ash said, as he pointed it out on Cilan's map.
"This is the last gym you need to face before you can enter the Unova League, right?" Dawn asked, as she stepped up next to Ash.
"Yep, after this next battle we're off to the Unova League!" Ash cheered, but his happy expression soon faltered.
"What's wrong Ash?" May asked, as she noticed Ash's expression.
"I sense something coming." Ash said, as he looked off into the horizon.
"Yes, I sense something as well." Anabel said, as she followed Ash's gaze.
Off in the horizon a single figure flew towards them. As the figure drew closer, it started to grow exponentially. Eventually the group was able to clearly see the approaching creature. It was a large and birdlike, and it was colored red with black marking along its body.
"What is that thing?" Roxie asked in awe, at the massive creature.
"It's Yveltal," Ash said just as the massive creature landed in front of them.
"Hello Chosen One." Yveltal said in a slightly annoyed tone.
"Hello Yveltal," Ash replied with his own twinge of annoyance. "I can only imagine you're here to join me."
"Only because Father Arceus is forcing me to join you on your quest." Yveltal drawled out in boredom.
"Alright that's fine with me," Ash said as he took out a Cherish Ball. "But we're gonna have to work past our differences if we want this to work out."
"Wait! Before you capture me I have one condition." Yveltal said, making Ash raise an eyebrow.
"Alright what do you want?" Ash asked, as he put the Cherish Ball away.
"I wish to battle Xerneas again. If you can defeat me with Xerneas, I will join you."
And done, that's another chapter down. Next chapter will kick off with Xerneas vs. Yveltal, and will move into Ash's last Unova gym. After next chapter the Unova league will begin. Sorry about the wait for this chapter, it's just that I've had an exhausting few weeks. Firstly I turned 18 on April 29th which was awesome. I got an Xbox One a few days later. And next week I'll be finishing high school. So next week I have my final exams, so don't expect an update for any of my stories until at least Friday.
