I don't own any of this Loud House belongs to Nickelodeon.

Back in Great Lake city; Ronnie Anne and a group that she had volunteer to join with, were searching through the aisles of one of many grocery stores in the city.

The group in the community center needed some food for the week, so a group had been sent out to gather up whatever they could find. Ronnie Anne who wanted to get out of the center gleefully joined them, but not without any protection from the acid rain that continued to come down from time to time again.

For her protection Ronnie Anne had to wear a rain coat, thick gloves, boots and thick pants. She also had to wear goggles as well as a respiratory mask to protect her face and eyes. She wasn't the only one who had to wear this protection, every member of the group also had to wear them.

At first Ronnie Anne felt a bit uncomfortable about wearing this get up, especially when it came to the mask and goggles, but her still aching hands served as a reminder about the dangers of the acid rain. Besides the respiratory mask makes her sound like Darth Vader when she breaths.

Now at the grocery store; the group gathered food that looked good in nutrition, it was mainly can food they were after as others were rotting, even the frozen foods were starting to rot.

Ronnie Anne picked up several cans of food, then placed them into her bag. "Alright this section is clear. Let's see if there's anything good over there." Ronnie Anne walked over to the next aisle, where she stopped to look for more cans.

She took a quick glance to the back half of the store, the back half had its whole part of its roof caved in, exposing the darken sky outside. Ronnie Anne shook her head from the scene, than turned back to her duty where she picked up several more cans of food.

She glances up to the aisle signs that swayed in the wind, she notices that the sign for the next aisle over had water. They could really use some water, so picking up her bag full of cans Ronnie Anne walked on over to the aisle where the water is. There packs of plastic bottles of water stood in wait for anyone to pick them up.

There were many different flavors of water, but Ronnie Anne figured that the regular kind would be best for the group. Ronnie Anne picked up the plastic containers and placed them on the floor where she then tore open the containers, then placed all the water bottles in her bag.

Looking down at her filled up bag, Ronnie Anne nodded satisfied over her haul that she had collected through the hour. Ronnie Anne heads on over to the front of the store, but she couldn't leave without the rest of the group, so she has to wait for the others to finish with gathering up the rest of the can food.

Standing at the front entrance; she looked outward, from here it looked like this part of the city had been hit hard with the quakes due to the rubble remains and the large cracks in the road that revealed the subway below.

The subway made her think of her best friend Sid, who had told her that she and her family had taken shelter somewhere down in the subways.

The subways certainly would've protected them from the heat and molten rocks, but there must've been cave-ins from the huge quakes that must've also caused gas and water pipes to burst, hopefully they weren't burned from a fireball that would've formed from the gas, or drown by rising water levels.

Now hopefully Sid's family didn't suffer any of those awful deaths, and were just fine and will somewhere down in those tunnels.

Ronnie Anne's hope for the Chang family is thankfully fulfilled as they were alright and in good health. The room that they were taking shelter in had just held against the tremors, upon exiting the room their feet had landed in a foot of water with a splash.

After walking out of the flooded tunnel, the Chang's had spent the passing days of walking through the tunnels, searching for a way out of them. Unfortunately so far each time they thought they were getting somewhere, there always seemed to be a collapsed tunnel that stopped them in their tracks.

Currently they were traveling down tunnel A7, according to Sid's and Adelaide's dad there is a station platform up ahead, as he had traveled down and up this line a few times.

Hopefully the way there isn't blocked off like the other tunnels they had come across before. They round a corner where they then come across two subway trains that were parked side by side.

This wasn't much of an obstacle for Mr. Chang who just stepped up to the door and pulled it open, allowing his family to step in first before he himself entered the train, without him holding it the door closed slowly behind them.

"Well girls, I think the station is just ahead. All we need to do is get through this train and walk a few more meters." Mr. Chang told his daughters.

"Can't we take the subway there dad?" Adelaide asked.

Mr. Chang shook his head sadly. "Afraid not Adelaide."

"But why?"

"Well honey, there's no electricity to run the train. Besides even if there were power to run it, I wouldn't trust the lines as they're all buckled from the earthquakes." Mr. Chang explained.

"Oh, if you say so daddy." Adelaide said.

Meanwhile Mrs. Chang looked out the window into the subway tunnel, she had been thinking about all the animals she had cared for at the zoo. All those poor creatures must've perished with so little mercy at the hands of destruction.

She was saddened for she had really cared for them, and as a zookeeper it had been her duty to protect them, but had utterly failed due to forces that was beyond her control.

Sid meanwhile is thinking of Ronnie Anne who had been up in the surface all this time, while she and her family had been safely underground during the whole cataclysm. Once she finds herself back up to the surface, she wanted to go find Ronnie Anne to make sure that she was ok. But in order to do that she needed to get out of these tunnels first.

Sid and her family walked through the entire train, they stop at the front where Mr. Chang opened up the side doors. The family stepped off the train and looked to the dark tunnel ahead.

With their supplies of food and water collected in their bags. Ronnie Anne and her group of survivors walked their way back towards the community center, with their haul they estimated that they would last for one and a half weeks before going out again to get more food.

Ronnie Anne walked at the back of the group, kicking away small rocks that were in her way, she then looked up to the sky that was still dark as it was last week with no sign of breaking up anytime soon. Ronnie Anne wondered if she was ever going to see the sun again, it seemed to her that this darkness was going to last forever.

She then turned her attention to the street in front of her, thinking about how so far they haven't ran into any other people, but she knew that they were out there somewhere for she had heard gunshots sometimes through the day and night, and with how quiet the city has become it was very easy to hear them.

Ronnie Anne guessed that whoever is making those gunshots, they must be situated somewhere on the other side of the city. Hopefully they would stay there for they were defenseless from any attack, especially when whoever they are had guns.

They would have to be train in defense sometime in the future, perhaps she can show the group her favorite wrestling moves. They also needed to make some short of alarm to warn them against any oncoming threat.

Ronnie Anne had a few ideas on what they could use as an alarm. One of these ideas were wind chimes with a string attached to them on one end and to the door with the other end.

It could work, all they needed to do was tie the string to the door whenever everyone is present in the community center, which hopefully won't lead to confusion or forgetfulness.

But of course they needed another warning system outside the center, perhaps firecrackers would be useful for an alarm, of course there is the trouble of finding some that hadn't already blown up from the heat.

If they did all blow up, it didn't deter Ronnie Anne for as mentioned before she had a whole list of ideas for a warning system. She just had to get around to those ideas some time later, like perhaps in two days or something like that.

The group had finally arrived back to the community center, they walked into the kitchen where they were now sorting out their hauls into the cabinets.

After awhile they were finished with the sorting and the cook on duty, who was a 40-year-old man with a tattoo of a snake on his arm, began to make a nice warm soup for lunch.

With her job done, Ronnie Anne went off somewhere to chill until the soup is ready. She went into the west hallway where she leaned herself against the wall, pulled out a small rubber ball that she had found at the store while she had waited for the group to be finish, she then throws the ball towards the opposite wall.

The ball bounced back to her, she caught it and repeats the process while random thoughts came to her, from how the rest of the world was doing? To wondering about Royal Woods, where she held concern for Lincoln. She wondered how he was doing in this time of darkness, destruction of civilization, and the deaths of many?

This whole ordeal must be a big shocker for him. She expected that his genius for a sister had already prepared them in advanced once the asteroid was first announced, but she knew that he must've gotten into shock after seeing what his town had become, heck she could hardly imagine what her former town looked like now.

She imagine that Royal Woods had probably burned to the ground or something else. She guessed that her old house is no more, which is a real same as although she loved it here, her old house held a bunch of old memories that she really fond over.

Ronnie Anne's thoughts then suddenly shifted to her dad. How was he during all this? Was the Yucatan far enough from the impact site? Was he trying to get back to them? These were burning questions for her as she really wanted to know if he was alright?

She threw the ball harder than she had meant to, it bounces off the wall towards the right, bouncing on the floor as it went down the hall, Ronnie Anne went after it.

The ball bounced and bounced, until it comes to a complete stop at the front of a closed door. Ronnie Anne bent down and picked it up, she then looked to the closed door next to her.

Curious Ronnie Anne opened it to see what was inside? It turned out to be another closet where the outdoor activities were stored in, nothing special.

She walked in, inspecting the various equipment that may not see the outside world again. There were: beanbags,an inflatable, bouncy castle, sports balls of all sorts from baseball to soccer, bubbles, basketball hoops made for little kids, and a bin full of baseball bats.

Ronnie Anne looked at the bin of baseball bats in contempt, slowly she began to imagine herself hitting the men who killed her grandpa, bashing their heads again and again until they were nothing but a bloody mess.

Ronnie Anne shook her head to get rid of those gruesome thoughts. It stunned her as she never had any of those thoughts before, but it felt kinda good about hurting those men. It was a way of justice for her dead grandpa, it actually kinda disappointed her that she wasn't giving them a what for in real life.

If only she knew what they looked like, then she could keep an eye out for them, or better yet find them, so that she can deliver sweet justice.

The only two people who saw them were Sid and Bobby. Out of the two of them, Bobby is her best bet since will he's here, plus since he was up close and personal with them to begin with, he most likely got a good description on what they looked like.

Ronnie Anne had to find him and ask him about them, it may upset him from the result of remembering them, but Ronnie Anne is willing to sacrifice that as long as she got that information from him.

Now where could he be at the moment? Is a utter question for her, but she didn't need to find him right now as he would most likely be at the main room with the rest of them after they got their soup from the kitchen.

So really Ronnie Anne didn't have to wait that long, but of course she must speak with him in private, so that she wouldn't get the rest of her family involved in this. They were already stress as they were, no need to stress them out some more.

"It should be just passed this bend." Mr. Chang stated to his family.

Sure enough after rounding the corner, the station platform could be seen just ahead. The Chang's smiled for at last they were one step closer of getting out of these tunnels. They gleefully approach the platform, Mr. and Mrs. Chang and Sid climbed up the platform with the latter helping her younger sister up.

Looking around they see that the station platform is relatively intact, this was a good first step. They walked down the station straight towards the stairs that lead outside.

Getting to the surface; they were shocked upon seeing the state of the city for the first time. Mr. and Mrs. Chang knew that things were going to be bad, but they never could've imagine that it would turn out like this.

They were in the street that lead to the zoo, from here this part of the city looked like it had been hit by a large bomb with all the rubble everywhere.

Sid looked around in a mix of shock and awe, she had thoughts during her trek through the tunnels, but to actually see it, it hit her like a bag of bricks.

Adelaide wondered how this could've happened to her home, she had been aware of the asteroid when it had been announced, but she didn't think that it would be this bad.

But now that they were finally up here, the first thing they wanted to do is find something to eat for they were very hungry, but where could they find food in this destroyed section of the city.

Mrs. Chang looked in the direction of the zoo, perhaps there would be some food over there.

The putrid smell of the dead hit the Chang's noses hard, even before they entered the zoo. Upon entering Mrs. Chang felt her heart sink as she stared at the ruins of the zoo; the pens were destroyed with the corpses of their animal inhabits still inside of them, and the visitor center had also been destroyed.

Andelaide walked up to a pen that housed the hippos, looking down she saw their bodies floating on top of the water. "Aw, poor things." She exclaimed sadly.

Meanwhile Mr. Chang looked at the wrecked visitor center uneasily for he had a big doubt that any food had even survived in that wreckage. Mrs. Chang shared her husband's views, but still held that small hope that there was food somewhere around in this destroyed zoo.

Sid stood near the path that lead to the Australian section, she looked through some binoculars that she had found on the ground, all she could see through them were twisted metal of the fences, the charred remains inside the enclosures, and the wreckage of the Australian Animal House.

Her stomach grumbled loudly as it demanded food, Sid held onto her stomach while groaning in pain, she would give anything to have a cheeseburger with large fries right now.

Sid looked back into the binoculars, she swung left quickly, then stopped and turned back a bit as she had noticed something. She let out an astonishing gasp for she had spotted something that made her mouth water.

"Mom! Dad! Andelaide!" She called out, they quickly rush over to her, with her parents worried as they thought that something was wrong.

"Is everything alright Sid?" Her mother asked in concern. Sid simply gives her mom the binoculars. "Do you see? What I see over there in the kangaroo enclosure?" Sid asked.

Mrs. Chang looked to where her daughter had instructed and like her daughter, her own mouth had began to water. Right there in what was once the kangaroo enclosure is a upside down popcorn cart with all its popcorn inside the glass container that had somehow managed to survive against the blast from the shockwave.

"Looks like we found our lunch." Mrs. Chang said.

Mr. Chang gently took the binoculars from his wife's hands, he looked at the popcorn cart doubtfully. "I don't know if popcorn is a proper meal for us." He said skeptically.

"Frankly dear, I'm so hungry that I don't even care. Besides I rather eat the popcorn than the dead animals." Mrs. Chang said.

The family made their way to the kangaroo enclosure, with the fence surrounding the pen destroyed, they had no problem entering the enclosure.

Together Mr. and Mrs. Chang lifted the cart right side up, they then handed their daughters and themselves plastic cups, where they finally filled them up with the popcorn and started eating like sharks in a feeding frenzy.

As the Chang's were having their popcorn lunch, back at the community center Ronnie Anne had just received her share of soup.

After leaving the kitchen with her soup, Ronnie Anne had spotted her older brother just ahead of her, he was just about to enter the main room when she called out to him. "Hey Bobby! Hold on a second!"

Bobby stopped in his tracks and turned to her, while giving a small smile. "What's up sis?"

"Can we talk?"

Bobby nodded. "Sure sis." He slightly opens the door, but Ronnie Anne's voice stopped him again. "Actually, I want to speak with you in private. You know, away from the family."

"Um, sure thing." He said in surprise.

Ronnie Anne lead him to a lonely hallway, they sat down against the wall with their soup in their laps. "So what did you want to talk about sis?" Bobby asked.

Ronnie Anne breathed in and out, preparing herself for his reaction on what she is about to ask. "You know about grandpa's death?"

"Yeah?" Bobby replied uneasily as already those awful memories of that fateful day were beginning to resurface from within his mind.

"Well, I need you to tell me about the men who murdered him." Ronnie Anne stated slowly.

Upon hearing that Bobby started to have a small panic attack as the memories of that fateful day flashed through his eyes. The shouting, the knives, the splatter of blood as one of them stabbed his grandpa. "Why would you want to know about them?" He asked in a low tone as he visibility shook in fear.

"Just in case they show up. After all we can't just let those murderers in here with smiles and flowers." Ronnie Anne explained.

Bobby guessed that was a good explanation, he certainly didn't want them to just live here, if they just happen to show up. Especially if they recognized him and decided to get rid of the eyewitness. "Alright if you must know. They were both in their thirties, both white with one having a long red beard, and the other one had a blond buzzcut."

Ronnie Anne let Bobby's description sink in, now that she knew what they looked like, perhaps she can keep a lookout for them or better yet find them if she wanted to. "Thanks Bobby, that helps."

"So. Does that mean we can keep them out?" He asked hopefully.

Ronnie Anne patted her brother on the back. "Yes Bobby, they won't be a bother." She stated with a small smirk visible on her face.

The Chang's had settled in a den that once belong to the black bears for the night. The den was smelly for sure, but it was good enough to provide temporary shelter for the time being.

The popcorn they had earlier settled their stomachs for now, but they would have to find a more suitable meal soon, and Mrs. Chang's fears about eating the dead animals may come true if they remain here.

Tomorrow they were going to do some exploring of the city, perhaps their home is still standing? They'll have to find out tomorrow as they got some sleeping to do.

As the rest of her family slept soundly, Sid looked out of the den's entrance to the darken city that surrounded the zoo. It was so weird, it felt more like the country rather than the city. If the sky was clear right now, you could probably see the stars lighting up the night sky.

She wondered if Ronnie Anne is sleeping safely where ever she was right now? Sid bet that she and the rest of her family are inside some building, she probably shouldn't share to Ronnie Anne about sleeping in a animal den at the zoo once they reunite, if they reunite.

Sid decided to get some sleep, after all she was bushed with the day she had. She settles in close to her mom and fell asleep next to her warmth.

A small bulldog walks through the zoo, looking for anything to eat. He had been out on his own ever since being separated from his owner, he hasn't had a decent meal in days, so he is extremely hungry.

The bulldog sniffed the ground for anything, he reached a knocked over garbage can where the trash is nothing but burned.

The bulldog sniffs the trash regardlessly as he hoped that there was still something here, using his paws he dug away the trash until at last he found a bag of open chips that still had some unburned chips in it.

Suddenly he was lifted off the ground by a mouth wrapping around his midsection, sharp teeth cut deeply into him while he got shook around before going limb.

A large, male tiger held his prey. The tiger was the only member of the zoo that survived, so far he has been keeping his hunger in check by scavenging off the dead animals, and drinking from the enclosures.

Now with fresh prey held in his mouth, he turns around and carried his prey towards his enclosure.

The Chang family slept on with no knowledge of what had happened.

As her family slept, Ronnie Anne had sneaked away into the closet.

She sat against the door, slapping one of the baseball bats against her hand as a blank expression is plastered on her face. She continues to smack the bat on her hand for several hours, with Bobby's information on the top of her mind.

"I'll avenge you grandpa." She said lowly.
