I don't own any of this Loud House belongs to Nickelodeon.

Lincoln looked out of the second floor window of the middle school or the Sanctuary as he should really call this place now. That's what it really is, a sanctuary for not just him and his family, but also for the others that want shelter and safety from not only the hostile environment, but also from the Wolf Gang that are roaming somewhere out there.

After a month of staying in the Sanctuary, the Louds have settled themselves quite nicely here, it felt like a new home for them. If you told Lincoln a couple months ago that he is going to be living in his current school, he would've looked at you as if you were telling him some Luan leveled joke.

It was no joke now, this place has indeed become a home. Although he liked it here, he really did honestly. This place couldn't match the home that he had sadly lost. That house may have been old and crummy, not to mention falling apart, but that place was still the only home that he had ever known ever since he was born.

That place held so many memories; from his first birthday, the first comic he read, getting his own room after being roommates with Lynn before Lucy was born, even all the fights he and his sisters had were somehow pleasant. Now the house is gone and with it new memories that could've formed like: him going to high school, Luna making it as a big rockstar, and of course Lilly not going to be able to experience all the things they've experienced previously, from her first bike ride, to her first time going to grade school.

It's a really big bummer. But Lincoln has to remind himself that they weren't the only ones who had lost their homes, the disaster has made everyone here homeless.

Looking out the window with his thoughts of home, Lincoln watched as volcanic ash continued to fall from the sky, in the distance the last remains of a two story house's roof collapsed under the weight of the ash. Looking to the ground Lincoln saw that it's absolutely covered in ash.

When the ash first started to come down, Lola and Lana thought that it was snow. Lisa utterly had to grab the back of their collars and strained herself as she held them in placed as they try to run outside.

Lisa had to scream out her words, saying how that wasn't snow, but volcanic ash and they don't want that stuff in their mouths. The twins question how there could be volcanic ash here in the first place? They were pretty sure that Royal Woods didn't have a volcano, or anywhere else in Michigan.

Lisa had to explained to the twins that it came from the volcanoes that are erupting from other places in North America. Lisa also warned that they should expect for very cooler temperatures for the coming weeks, as this darkness is going to give the planet a massive cool off or something like that.

Shaking his head in disbelief Lincoln walked away from the window, he remembered that he is supposed to meet with his friends in the cafeteria for they had kitchen cleaning duty today.

Oh yeah, that was another thing. People that are living here over the age of ten had to help with some chores. They weren't anything major, just the simple cleaning, checking up stock, or help with cooking. There's also guard duty, but that's reserved for the older teens and adults.

Lincoln is glad that he wasn't going to do that chore anytime soon, as he wouldn't want to go out there anytime soon, especially when all that ash was falling from the sky.

Lincoln blinked in surprise when he found himself in front of the cafeteria doors. Boy, he must've been really thinking in order not to recall the time he had traveled from the second floor to here.

Lincoln open the doors to see his friends with cleaning supplies, all waiting for him. "Howdy Lincoln, ready to tackle this here mess?"

"Ready as I'll ever be Liam." Lincoln replied as he put on some latex's gloves.

Stella picks up her bucket of cleaning supplies with determination. "When we're done with this guys. The whole kitchen is going to be so clean, that not even the toughest germ could survive."

Rusty held up his rag in a pose similar to a king fu fighter. "Yeah, lets do this!"

The five raced towards the kitchen to be done with their work, in each of their minds a music montage of various genres played.

Over the past hour the five scrubbed and scrubbed the counters, trays, ovens, and each handle of the counter doors. By the time they were done, the kitchen is shiny clean with some objects showing off their reflections.

Lincoln felt a little exhausted from all that cleaning, especially since he was doing the oven. "Phew!" He exclaimed, "That was a tough job guys, but we managed to make this place spic and span."

"I say, just look at how much they sparkle." Liam added.

"So now that we are done with this, what do we now?" Rusty question.

"Yeah" Zach adds, "We can't play any video games. I mean the only thing that works is that Kinect thing, but one guy can only play Dance, Dance Revolution 4 a so few times."

"Agreed, if only they got some more games, but no they decided that a dancing game is enough. Don't get me wrong, I like showing off my killer dance moves as the next guy. But I want to play something else when staying here." Rusty complained.

"So what do you guys suggest?" Stella asked.

Lincoln thought about what he and his friends could do? It was a tough thought as there wasn't that much to do around here for fun. Then a lightbulb lit up in his mind, he enthusiastically turned to his friends. "Guys! I just got a great idea!"

"Oh, what is it Lincoln?" Stella asked.

"We can make a comic." He replied in glee.

Lincoln's friends looked to him in surprise. "A comic?" Liam question in which Lincoln nodded. "Yeah! It will be the first comic of the new world."

The others thought about it, it sounded fun to reintroduced the comic book. It could make them famous for the remaining comic book fans. They nodded in agreement, and so the friends rushed out of the cafeteria, rushing towards the arts and crafts room to get started on the first comic of the post impact world.

Inside a classroom turned bunk room; Lynn Sr. who's now in a wheelchair felt depressed as he looked to the open door.

The medical office has done a great job mending his wounded leg, the head nurse informed him that in two months he would be upgraded to crutches and then in a few more weeks he'll be able to walk again.

That was really great, but he felt rather useless as he sat in this chair. How he wished on being in the kitchen cooking. He would've been the best cook here, but this blasted injury made it impossible.

Sighing Lynn rolled over to a whiteboard where a cartoon bunny is doodled on it with the word Bunzie hovered over the bunny.

Lynn grabbed a black marker, he undoes the cap and draws a very nice doodle of lasagna, hamburger, mac and cheese, spaghetti, and even a turkey.

Rita enters the room, upon entering she noticed the doodles on the whiteboard, Rita walked over to her husband, where she places a gentle hand on his left shoulder. "Those are some nice doodles Lynn."

Lynn sighed. "Thanks honey." He slowly places the cap back on the marker and places it back down.

Rita took noticed of the demeanor in her husband's behavior. "Is everything alright?"

He sighed, then looked to his bandage leg. "Just thinking about how useless I'm being."

This shocked Rita very much as where did this come from? "What do you mean?"

"It's just that, ever since I've got in this wheelchair. I haven't been doing anything useful around here, the most I ever did was holding a broom and move dust and other stuff like a snow plow." He complained.

Rita patted him slowly on his shoulder, looking up Lynn can see a smile of reassurance on his wife's face. "Come on Lynn, don't say that about yourself. Just because your confined to a wheelchair, doesn't mean your useless."

"But what can I do? I can't cook, I can't reach the top shelves, I can't even go to the bathroom without having a problem." Lynn protested.

"Well I'm sure you can think of something. After all you are full Lynnvention." Rita leaned down and kisses him on the cheek. Lynn instantly felt a spark of energy, he looked back up at his wife who gave him a knowing wink before walking out of the room, leaving Lynn to think about what she had just said.

Outside at the front of the Sanctuary; Luan with a respirator on her face stood on the top step, looking over at the others who had respirators on them as well in order to protect themselves from the falling ash.

The dumpster barrier is still up with assigned guards standing behind them. The electric fence that Margo had mentioned is just starting to be setup, it's taking a long process though as they only got the back and left side of the Sanctuary setup with the fence that's not even electrified yet, as they want the fence completely around the Sanctuary before lighting it up.

Anyway Luan watched the guards stand at their posts with guns at ready, but that wasn't the only defense they had as Flip came to realize that dumpster barriers and guards weren't going to be enough, so that's where Luan happily came in.

During all the panic from the disaster and settling in the Sanctuary, Luan had actually forgot about April Fool's Day. How can see forget about her favorite holiday? It was an utter outrage for our favorite comedian. Though her family was relieved about it for as far as they knew, Luan forgetting about April Fool's Day is the only good thing that came from the disaster.

So to fill out her needs to prank, Luan convinced Flip to let her set up her infamous pranks for defenses. Luan's family members who were present at the time, quickly encourage Flip to do so, for they realized that Luan's April Fool's pranks can be used as a form of good defense.

After agreeing to it, Luan immediately got to work on setting up her prank traps. After she set in the last one, she had to explained to everyone in the Sanctuary on where the traps are set, after all it would be bad to have someone on their own side to set off one of the traps. It would be funny, but still bad.

Today however as Luan stood on the top step, she is busy thinking of a great comedy show for the end of the week. Luan had noticed how dull and grey everyone seem to be, so she along with Giggles decided to lighten up the mood by making the said comedy show.

The two got some great skits ready, but the most important part of the show are the jokes. Luan had already wrote several jokes, but there was still room for some more.

"Hmm, a joke about guards. That might work." Luan muttered to herself. She thought carefully of how the joke should play out, then the conclusion of the joke.

Luan basically had a lot of material to go through, and when she was ready she would give the best comedy show this Sanctuary has ever seen.

The middle school band room; a room that was once one of the noisiest rooms in the school, but now only has two noises coming out from the place.

Luna played her guitar in a low tone. Looking around the room as she played, memories of spending so much time here, practicing on her guitar and other instruments when she was first starting out on her life as a rockstar.

She should be feeling some nostalgia, but how can she? When her girlfriend Sam is playing next to her much more slowly and visibly depressed over the death of her little bro.

After reuniting with each other, Sam hasn't gone into any details of what had happened to him, it was too heartbreaking for her to go over the whole thing. In fact seeing Luna was her most happiest moment during that week.

After that Sam had gone back into depression, she just couldn't stop seeing Simon's smiling face that she would never see again.

Luna stuck by her side ever since then, she wanted to be her shoulder to cry on, plus Luna wanted to try and make her girlfriend feel better and make her smile again. It was a long shot, for Luna knew that grieving over a family member, especially for those that you are very close to, can take a very long time to recover from.

Sam played a few more notes before stopping altogether. The result caused Luna to stop playing as well and look to her in concern. "You ok Sam?"

"Yeah, it's just that." Sam goes into her thoughts, Luna patiently waits for Sam to continue in which she eventually does. "It's just that I used to provide music for Simon whenever he's in an intense gaming match." Sam sadly sighs, a few tears were beginning to form.

Luna sets down her guitar and immediately went over to Sam's side, patting her shoulder. Sam wipes away her tears while looking down to the floor. "I'm sorry Luna. I know you wanted to jam, but I just can't at the moment."

"That's okay Sam." Luna quickly reassures. "We don't have to jam right now. We can do something else if you want?"

"Thanks Luna." Sam now looked to the door. "Can we get out of here? I want to sit down on my bunk."

"Sure Sam."

The two girls move out of the band room. As they walked towards the room where Sam is settled in, Luna filled with concerned looked over to her, she will comfort her girlfriend as long as she can, but she hoped that Sam wouldn't do anything rational during her stages of grief.

Leni happily stood in the library, supervising the members of her new fashion club that she had set up last week. During the month Leni had noticed how the clothes they have been wearing every day were beginning to wear and tear.

That simply wasn't going to do, so she took it upon her self to form this club that's going to make new clothes for everyone in the Sanctuary.

The members in her club were: Girl Jordan, Becky, Mandee, and Jackie. True, they were only a few members, but with Leni's talent with fashion and sewing making. The clothes were being made rather quickly as they already have a weeks worth.

Leni happily approaches her club members, she looked down at their works as they used sewing machines to sew some pants. "Nicely done Girl Jordon and Becky. Jackie go a little slower please. Oh, and Mandee I love those flowers you sewed on there."

"Thanks Leni."

Leni walks on over to her desk, she still had to her own sewing. Getting on her chair Leni immediately got to work, by this pace Leni believed that they should go from a week to a month worth of new clothes.

At the side of the Sanctuary is a build in process greenhouse that has its walls up, but still needed a roof. Lisa supervised the build as this was her idea.

She proposed that it would be a good idea to grow their own food as the food supplies they're getting from town is going to run out soon. The construction is a since and the installations of warm light and sprinkler system should be easy, for all Lisa needed to do is use the water from the acid rain, clean it out with filters, then it would be clean enough to help grow plants.

Normally plants take awhile to grow, but Lisa had created genetically made plants from the science lab that now serves as her new lab. Making genetically made plants was as simple as tying your shoes, and these plants were designed to grow faster than any normal plant.

Lisa's genius brain had helped improve some aspects of the Sanctuary. One of the best improvements is tinkering with the bike powered generator to run more efficiently which greatly improved the power they had.

Currently Lisa watched as Mrs. Johnson, Mr. Gus, a motorcycle guy, and Principal Huggins work together to make the greenhouse roof. Lisa then turned to face the Sanctuary, she admits that Flip seemed to be trying his best on running this group, but yet she just doesn't fully trust him.

After years of him being a con-man to her family and everyone else in Royal Woods. Lisa found it hard to believe that he had completely changed, she suspected that he would ditch them on the first sign of danger or at the very least sell them out to the Wolf Gang the moment he saw another group with a lot more things than them.

Until she sees him doing something very selfless for the group, Lisa isn't going to be 100% convinced on this 'new' Flip.

"Ready or not, here I come!" Lana announced to the gymnasium. The twins along with some other kids their age and Lilly were playing a good game of hide and seek.

The twins had adapted quite well in the Sanctuary, though Lola still felt guilty about the whole mess with the bunker, her family hasn't spoken about it, but she suspected that a few may still be a little cross with her. And Lana thought about Walt and Cliff often in sadness, along with great anger towards those Logan and Diego fellas. She wondered how those two murderers can sleep at night for what they did?

At least she was able to find some new animal friends here, which were basically rats that came out at night, but these new friends can never replaced her family's two beloved decrease pets.

Lana searched through the gymnasium, she found a boy hiding besides the stacked up red mats, a girl in the coach's office hiding under the desk, as well as a another girl in the coach's locker, going to the folded in bleachers next Lana found another boy hiding atop of them.

Lana then goes into the workout room next, where she had found two boys and one girl. Now the only ones left to find were her two sisters. Oh where? Oh where can those two could be?

Lana stepped back into the gymnasium where she scans the whole area carefully to see any potential hiding place that they could be hiding.

Meanwhile Lola and Lilly watched Lana scanned the gymnasium for them. Lola grinned over to Lilly who held in her giggles with her hands placed on her mouth.

"With this hiding spot Lilly, it should take Lana awhile to find us." Lola whispered to her baby sister.

Lilly nodded in agreement for this is a great hiding spot that will definitely take Lana awhile to find them. This is definitely fun, Lilly was glad that the twins let her play with them as being the only baby here at the Sanctuary, Lilly was just starting to get lonely.

So she started to hang out with much of her siblings as much as possible. The ones she hung out with the most were the twins as they weren't very busy with things.

Together the two watched Lana move over to the supply closet, holding in their giggles as they watched her miss them completely.

Down below in the dark basement; Lucy and the mortician's club stood around a crystal ball with lit up candles.

Lucy and the other members of the morticians club felt utterly the same as before the asteroid was even first spotted. As mention many times before, they utterly loved the darkness and spent many days outside more often than before. But now that the volcanic ash had ruined their outside experience, they now spend the days in the dark, scary basement.

Currently Lucy with her fortune teller hat on, is getting ready to tell a fortune from her crystal ball. "Alright we are now all set, let's gather around the ball and see our future."

The morticians club gathered around the ball as Lucy waved her hands around. The crystal ball began to glow, inside smoke swirled around.

Boris leaned forward for a closer look. "Boris sees something."

"Yes, I do to." Haiku added.

Through the ball, they can see the Sanctuary on fire with people screaming and gunshots in the background. "Oh my, something bad is going happen to the Sanctuary." Lucy exclaimed in her usual tone of voice.

"Wait there's more." Haiku stated.

The ball now shows what seemed to be a snowy desert with figures walking across it. This puzzled the club as they had no idea what any of that meant, but what they do know is that something is going to happen to the Sanctuary that would lead to it's destruction.

They had to find a way to alter this future, Lucy is doubled determine to find a way to change the future in order to prevent any danger that could befall on her family. They just hoped that this future isn't set in stone.

Out on the streets; Lynn scanned through the parking lot of the supermarket for any danger from dog packs to any members of the Wolf Gang, meanwhile Margo and the rest of the team searched in the market for any food.

Lynn had immediately joined her friends on outside searches. After all you couldn't have the roller derby team be out here without their number one player.

Lynn completed the team and with her great athletic skills, proved to be a great asset for them. Anyway Lynn with a eagle eye kept on watch with a little intensity, so far there is nothing that was a clear threat to her or the team, but you couldn't let your guard down for a second. As you can never know when something or someone would show up.

"Well we got everything we can find." Margo announced behind her. Lynn looked back to see her and the others stepping out of the market.

"Awesome Margo! How much you got?" Lynn walked over to her best friend, looking down at her bag Lynn could see that it wasn't much. "Is that it?"

Margo nods sadly. "Yeah, this is basically what's left."

"Seriously?"

"Yeah, much of the other foods have rotted away and we cleaned out the cans."

"Do we have other places to get food?" Lynn question.

"Not really. Houses or other buildings that might have food are too unstable to explore inside them." Margo explained.

"So this is basically it?" Lynn question again with uneasiness.

"Yes, and it's not going to be enough for everyone. Unfortunately it looks like some are going to go hungry next week." Margo sadly stated.

"It's a good thing that Lynn's smart sister is making that greenhouse." Maddie commented.

"Yeah, but I'm not so sure about those genetic plants she made." Lainey said.

"I don't care as long as it's food." Queens countered.

"Enough chattering around guys!" Lynn spoke up. "We should get going before any of those Wolf guys come here. Especially if it's those two doofuses." Lynn stated as she referred to Hank and Hawk. How she would love to get back at those two dummies for driving her away from her own backyard. That day would have to wait however as they most likely still had back up from the other Wolf Gang members.

Right now Lynn led her team back towards the Sanctuary, they had their senses on very high alert for they could still run into something or someone during their journey back.

Luckily they didn't run into anything and got back to the Sanctuary safe and sound. Lynn knocks on the front gate, from the other side Mr. Grouse's voice call out. "Who goes there?"

"It's us Mr. Grouse." Lynn calls out.

"Oh, did you get anything good?"

"We believe so." Margo now spoke up.

"Hopefully it isn't cabbage. That stuff always leaves a bad taste in my mouth." Grouse rambled.

"Um, Mr. Grouse can you let us in now?" Lynn said with impatience.

"Oh right." Grouse then opens up the gate allowing the team to enter, after they pass him he closes the gate.

Lynn's team heads straight towards the kitchen to empty their load into the pantry. They passed by Luan who's still thinking up some jokes, the room where Luna is comforting Sam, the arts and crafts room where Lincoln and his friends worked on the first panels of their comic, the gymnasium where Lana is still looking for Lola and Lilly, and the library where Leni and her club had finished with sewing a fashionable series of new clothes.

The Loud family had settled in very nicely in the Sanctuary. It could never replaced their old home, but so far it's suiting them very nicely.
