It was chilly evening at August 1979, and Remus was curled up in front of the fireplace on the arm chair.

He was a little sad when Sirius started being shifty about something and was behaving weirdly. He seemed to be staring at Remus with something in his eyes that he couldn't identify.

He snapped out of his thoughts when someone knocked on his door.

When Remus opened the door, he was met with the sight of a soaking wet Sirius Black, rain pouring down.

" I am sorry Remus." Sirius said with a sad tone, that reminded him of a puppy.

Having a bewildered look on his face he took few quick steps backwards to check the window. There was not a single drop of water in sight.

Sighing, he walked up to the door with a deadpan look. He tapped his foot on the wooden floor, crossing his arms. Giving a piercing look at Sirius, he spoke to Sirius for the first time in 2 days; " Is James holding the water hose for you, just because you wanted a dramatic scene to apologize to me.

Sirius got a shifty look in his eyes when he heard that and gave a side glance behind the shrubs and lightly shifted his head in a no motion.

"No, why would you think that."

Remus called out, " James, close the tap and come out."

When no response came he hardened his voice and called out again.

"James Potter, close the tap and come out now."

A sheepish and slightly scared looking James came out from the side.

"Hiya Moonsy"

Remus sighed and called them both inside.

" Sorry, no can do Moonsy. Lily wanted me home. Said she had something important to say. Wonder what is it." James waved bye to Remus and Sirius and apparated out.

"Pads come inside, or you might get a cold." Remus said with slight exasperated tone in his words.

Sirius sheepishly came inside the house and went to sit beside the fireplace. He looked up when Remus handed him a towel to dry himself and accepted it.

"Padfoot, why were you outside my house exactly?" Remus asked with a curious tone.

Sirius looked at him for a moment and sighed with a soft smile. He got up and kissed Remus lightly on the lips and knelt down on one knee.

Remus's breath caught and his eyes widened, cupping his hands on his mouth.

"Remus, you are the most beautiful, amazing, awesome person I have ever known. You have been with me every single time I needed you. You have made the happiest person on earth. I had been avoiding you for some time because, I came to the realization that I wanted to spend the rest of my life with you, and I needed to get a few things ready for this. Remus "moony" Lupin, will you do me the greatest honor of becoming my husband ?"

Sirius nervously waited for an answer from Remus and looked up at him.

He closed his eyes when he didn't get a answer from Remus and went to stand back up, and suddenly he was pounced on, and found himself with a lap full of Remus.

"Yes,yes, yes, a million times yes, i love you so much."

As both lovers happily curled up on the sofa, with their hearts content, they didn't notice their door being closed by a red haired woman and messy haired man.

"Yay, a wedding to look forward." Squealed Lily gleefully.

"And we get to break the news of your pregnancy tomorrow. Oh boy, they're in for a bloody big shock tomorrow." James planned with maniacal look on his face.

A cuff on the back of his head was delivered by Lily with an eye roll, and the bickering couple made their way home.
