(2 Weeks After Ash's Win at the Vertress Conference; 8:00 p.m.)

Ash's could faintly hear the dull roar of the crowd, as he sat on a bench in his locker room. He clasped his hands between his knees, and stared down at the floor. The raven-haired trainer was in deep thought. His road to battle Hilda had been a particularly challenging one. The only Unova Elite Four member Ash had encountered previously was Caitlin. Even then he had only watched her in an exhibition match against Cynthia. So Ash was basically going in blind against the Elite Four, knowing little of their strategies and preferred Pokemon. Each of his Elite Four battles had been a tough one, and had come down to the wire. Ash's first battle had been against Shauntal, a ghost-type specialist, and it was probably his easiest battle against the Unova Elite Four. Gengar had managed to take out three of Shauntal's four Pokemon; before he was taken out by her Chandelure. Ash then sent in Feraligatr to finish Chandelure off. After Shauntal, Ash faced off against Grimsley, a dark-type expert. Ash had been doing well until Grimsley sent in his Krookodile. The Intimidation managed to take out two of Ash's Pokemon. Down to two vs. two, Ash had sent out Glalie to battle Krookodile. The Face Pokemon defeated Krookodile, and eventually won Ash the match. Next Ash faced out against Caitlin, who was a psychic-type master. Cynthia had given Ash some tips before he had battled Caitlin. Ash had been doing fairly well against Caitlin; until Caitlin brought out her last Pokemon, Gothitelle. The Astral Body Pokemon had amazingly managed to take out three of Ash's Pokemon. Bringing the trainers to a one-on-one showdown. But since Gothitelle was exhausted from her previous battles, Ash managed to defeat her fairly easily with Leavanny. Ash's final Elite Four battle had been against Marshal, the best fighting-type trainer in Unova. Marshal had sent out his Mienshao to battle Ash first. The raven-haired trainer was stunned by the Martial Arts Pokemon's amazing speed and power. Mienshao had quickly taken out three of Ash's Pokemon, turning the battle into one vs. four. However Ash had pulled out an amazing comeback when he brought out his Pidgeot. Ash had mega evolved Pidgeot, and swept all of Marshal's Pokemon. Now Ash was prepared to take on his final goal, Hilda.

A small smirk spread across Ash's face, as he remembered Hilda's shocked face. The brunette had been surprised to witness Ash pull off such an amazing comeback against Marshal. Ash was now ready to take Hilda on, and he was prepared to give her the battle of a lifetime. He had studied Hilda's Pokemon and tactics extensively. There was just one problem though; Hilda battled almost exactly like Ash. She had no set strategies, or Pokemon preferences. Hilda simply came up with strategies and tactics on the fly, and used whatever Pokemon she felt like using.

"This should be an interesting battle." Ash thought, as he twirled two Cherish Balls between his fingers. The raven-haired trainer had picked two legendary Pokemon for his team. In fact if everything went according to his plan, he wouldn't need the other Pokemon on his team. The legends he picked weren't his strongest, but they were destructive nonetheless. Ash had specifically picked out these two legends, and he hoped that Hilda would appreciate battling against them. "I'm only using these two because I know Hilda would love to battle them. I'm not gonna abuse them and their power like that bastard Tobias."

"Mr. Ketchum we're ready for you." The official said, shaking Ash out of thoughts. "Please start to make your way onto the battlefield."

"Okay thanks." Ash said, as he stood up from the bench. "Let's do this buddy." Pikachu nodded, and jumped onto Ash's shoulder. Ash gave Pikachu a quick fist bump before he exited his locker room. As Ash walked towards the entrance to the battlefield, he could hear the sounds of the crowd getting louder and louder.

"Ladies and gentleman! This is the moment you've all been waiting for!" The announcer yelled over the PA, earning a chorus of cheers from the crowd. "Someone has come to challenge our champion for her title! Will he succeed, or will he go home in defeat?!" The announcer paused for a moment, as he received news from the officials. "Alright everyone give up for Ash Ketchum, who comes here all the way from Pallet Town in the far off Kanto region!" Fireworks exploded around Ash's entrance, as he ran onto the field. The crowd's cheers tripled upon seeing Ash walk onto the field. The raven-haired trainer waved to the crowd, as he walked towards his side of the battlefield. When Ash arrived at his side of the field, he quickly scanned the crowd for his girls. Spotting them, Ash grinned and blew them a kiss. "We've seen the challenger, now let's introduce his opponent!" The lights throughout the stadium dimmed, as a spotlight shined on the opposite entrance onto the field. "Unova! Give a big round of applause for your champion! Hilda!" A burst of smoke erupted from Hilda's entrance, as the brunette ran onto the field. Music blared and fireworks exploded; an amazing display, marking Hilda's entrance. The Unova champion smiled brightly and waved energetically to her fans, as she ran towards her side of the battlefield.

"I kept my promise." Ash thought with a smile, as he watched Hilda. "Arceus she looks beautiful." The raven-haired trainer couldn't stop his eyes from traveling up and down Hilda's form, taking in all her beauty. The brunette looked absolutely stunning, as she stood on her side of the battlefield. "I'm gonna give you a battle to remember Hilda. Then I'm gonna make you mine."

"Looks like you actually kept your promise." Hilda said with a smirk, snapping Ash out of his thoughts.

"We're friends Hilda, I'd never break a promise I made to you." Ash said with a smile. "I like you Hilda, so I'm gonna give you a battle you'll never forget."

"H-He likes me?!" Hilda thought, as a slight blush dusted across her face. "I-I wonder if he l-likes me the same way I like him."

"This will be a six-on-six championship battle between the challenger, Ash Ketchum and the current Champion Hilda." The official announced, earning a series of cheers from the crowd. "Are both trainers ready to battle?" Both Ash and Hilda nodded, signaling that they were ready. "Then please bring out your first Pokemon!"

"Let's get this battle started, Ash!" Hilda said with a grin, as she unclipped a Pokeball from her belt. "Throh I choose you!" The Judo Pokemon landed on the field with a loud crash, tightening it's belt after it landed. "Who are you gonna bring out first, Ash?"

"Oh! It looks like Hilda is starting out with one of Unova's signature fighting-types! Who will her challenger send out first?!" The announcer boomed over the PA.

"I've been studying the way you battle very closely, Hilda." Ash said, causing Hilda's eyes to widen in surprise. "As it turns out we have very similar battling styles. Actually we're alike in a lot of other areas as well. That's why I figured you wouldn't want to miss on the opportunity to battle a Pokemon like this." Ash grinned, as he twisted his cap backwards. The raven-haired trainer then grabbed a Cherish Ball off his belt. "I hope you're ready Hilda, because I plan to give you a battle you'll never forget. Meloetta I chose you!" The entire crowd gasped in shock, as the Melody Pokemon gently floated to the ground in front of Ash. Meloetta smiled brightly before she bowed slightly.

"OH MY! Its seems that Ash has sent out a legendary Pokemon; the famous Melody Pokemon, Meloetta!" The announcer exclaimed, as a stunned silence fell over the crowd.

"I-I didn't expect you to use a l-legendary Pokemon." Hilda said in a shocked tone.

"Well I usually don't use legendary Pokemon for these type of battles." Ash said with an embarrassed grin, as he rubbed the back of his head. "But I figured you'd like the opportunity to battle some of Unova's legendary Pokemon." Ash smiled, as Meloetta sat down on his shoulder. The raven-haired trainer reached up, and petted Meloetta's head. "Meloetta may not be the biggest and baddest legendary Pokemon I have, but she's still really strong and loves a good battle."

"W-Wow." Hilda breathed out, as she stared at Meloetta. "He really does care about me." A smile spread across Hilda's face, and she clenched her fists in determination. "Thank you Ash, I'd love to battle Meloetta."

"That's the spirit!" Ash exclaimed with a wide grin. "Let's get this battle going!"

"Throh vs. Meloetta, battle begin!"

"Throh, start things off with Knock Off!" The Judo Pokemon grunted, coating it's hands in dark energy. With a loud roar, Throh charged towards Meloetta.

"Meloetta, use Relic Song quick!" The Melody Pokemon nodded, and began sing a soothing song. A barrage of musical notes circled around Meloetta, and began to fly towards Throh. The musical notes hit Throh, causing the charging Pokemon to stop in its tracks. Throh's eyes began to droop, as Meloetta's gentle music started to put it to sleep. As Throh began to fall asleep; Meloetta was bathed in a bright white light as she changed into her Pirouette Forme.

"Don't you dare fall asleep Throh!" Hilda yelled, causing Throh's eyes to snap open. "You've been training to combat sleep inducing moves." Throh grunted in acknowledgement, as it tightened its belt. Letting out another roar, Throh charged Meloetta once again. Dark energy flowed off Throh's hands, as it jabbed at Meloetta. However the Melody Pokemon elegantly and gracefully danced around each of Throh's strikes. Meloetta effortlessly pirouetted, ducked, and jumped over all of Throh's attacks. With each missed strike, Throh became more and more enraged. Finally Throh snapped, and slammed both his fist into the ground. A powerful shockwave shook the battlefield, as the ground began to crack. Throh was panting heavily, as it glared at Meloetta.

"Now that Throh is tired out, use Low Sweep." Meloetta raced forward, and hit Throh with a powerful kick to its left leg. The Judo Pokemon roared in pain, as it clutched its injured leg. "Now use Psychic." The Melody Pokemon's eyes began to glow bright blue, as she used her psychic power to lift Throh into the air.

"Throh try to break free!" Hilda exclaimed in a panicked tone. Throh began to thrash around, as it tried to break free of Meloetta's psychic grasp. But it was all in vain, Meloetta's hold was far too strong. The Melody Pokemon suddenly slammed Throh into the ground several times; leaving the Judo Pokemon dazed and injured.

"Finish this with Close Combat!" Throwing Throh into the air using Psychic; Meloetta flew towards the Judo Pokemon. Once Meloetta was close enough, she began to unleash a flurry of kicks and punches. Each strike landed with a loud impact that resided throughout the stadium. To finish off the attack, Meloetta displayed her surprising strength. The Melody Pokemon grabbed Throh by its right leg, and to rapidly flip in the air. Once Meloetta had gained sufficient, she threw Throh. The Judo Pokemon rocketed into the ground, kicking up a wall of dirt and causing the entire battlefield to shake. When the dust finally settled, Throh was unconscious at the bottom of a large crater.

"Throh is unable to battle! The winner is Meloetta!"

"Amazing! Such power and grace in such a small package!" The announcer exclaimed.

"Hilda please bring out your next Pokemon!"

"Wow! Your Meloetta is amazing Ash!" Hilda cheered, as she returned Throh. The brunette had a large grin on her face, while she reached for another Pokeball. "Let's keep this battle going, I'm having a blast! Braviary, I choose you!" The Valiant Pokemon let out a loud screech, as it appeared in the air above Hilda.

"Braviary vs. Meloetta, battle begin!"

"Meloetta use Relic Song again!" The Melody Pokemon once again began to sing an entrancing song. Meloetta was engulfed in a bright white light, as she changed from her Pirouette Forme into her Aria Forme. However Braviary easily dodged the musical notes that were flying towards it.

"Nice dodge Braviary! Now use Aerial Ace!" The Valiant squawked in reply, as it dove towards the ground at an incredible speed. Braviary pulled out of its dive just before hitting the ground, causing a small shockwave. Using it's gained speed, Braviary raced towards Meloetta.

"Meloetta, wait until the last second and jump onto Braviary's back!" Hilda's eyes widened when she saw the Melody Pokemon jump onto her Braviary's back. Meloetta used her hand to shield her face from the harsh winds that were hitting her. "Great job Meloetta! Hold on tight, and use Thunder!"

"Braviary shake Meloetta off!" Hilda called out in a frantic tone. The Valiant Pokemon began to do anything it could to try and shake Meloetta off, but nothing seemed to work. Suddenly Meloetta was surrounded in blinding electricity. Moments later Braviary howled in pain, as powerful electricity coursed into its body off Meloetta's. The Valiant Pokemon began to nosedive back down towards the battlefield. Just before Braviary crashed into the ground, Meloetta hopped of the Pokemon's back.

"Braviary! Are you okay!?" Hilda exclaimed, as a cloud of debris hid her Pokemon. Tense moments passed, as the debris settled. Suddenly a figure could be silhouetted in the dust. A loud screech was heard, just as the rest of the debris was blown away. A look of relief spread across Hilda's face when she saw Braviary standing up in a small crater. The Valiant Pokemon looked severely injured, but it stood tall no the less. "Thank Arceus you're alright Braviary."

"Impressive, you have one strong Braviary Hilda." Ash complimented with a grin. "But this is still a battle, and I intend to win! Meloetta, use Stone Edge!" Dozens of sharp stones surrounded Meloetta; before she began to fire them at Braviary.

"Braviary, use Air Slash!" The Valiant Pokemon flapped its massive wings, sending out a volley of saw blades made out of air. The blades of air collided with the flying rock, creating an improvised smokescreen that covered most of the battlefield. Ash narrowed his eyes, as he tried to scan through the smoke and debris.

"Where is Braviary? Hm, I wonder..." Ash thought, as his eyes suddenly turned bright blue. Pumping aura into his eyes, Ash began to scan for Braviary's aura signature. The raven-haired trainers eyes widened when he spotted Braviary's aura signature speeding through the smoke directly towards Meloetta. Reacting quickly, Ash issued the only command he could think of. "Meloetta dance!"

The Melody Pokemon nodded, closing her eyes and beginning to dance to an imaginary beat. Seconds later Braviary burst out of the smoke; coated in brilliant blue flames. But just before Braviary was about to hit, Meloetta dipped underneath the attack. Braviary soared past Meloetta, leaving the Melody Pokemon completely unharmed.

"How did it dodge Brave Bird?!" Hilda thought in shock, as she watched Meloetta dance around the battlefield. "Braviary, put on the brakes and use Superpower!" The Valiant Pokemon extended its large wings, causing it to suddenly stop. Braviary then spun around, and swung a glowing wing at Meloetta. But the Melody Pokemon simply jumped over the attack. Braviary's attack missed Meloetta and smashed into the ground instead; the ground underneath Braviary's attack cracked and crumbled. Seeing the ground cracking gave Hilda an idea. "Braviary, keep trying to hit Meloetta with Superpower!" The Valiant Pokemon screeched in acknowledgment, and began chase after Meloetta.

"What's she planning?" Ash thought, as he watched Braviary try and fail to hit Meloetta. But Ash's eyes widened when he saw that most of the battlefield was destroyed. "She's destroying the battlefield so Meloetta will eventually lose her balance. Then she can move in and attack. Not bad Hilda, that's something I would do."

"Meloetta stop dancing and use Thunder Wave!" As soon as Meloetta dodged another one of Braviary's attacks; she coated her body in electricity and hit the Valiant Pokemon with a wall of electricity. The attack hit Braviary, instantly paralyzing it. "Now finish this with Thunder Punch!" Meloetta charged forward, striking the paralyzed Pokemon with an electrically charged fist. Meloetta's punch sent Braviary crashing into the ground, as electricity flowed through its body. When Meloetta jumped back, Braviary was an unconscious heap.

"Braviary is unable to battle! The winner is Meloetta!"

"Oh my! Ash has won two battles in a row! Can he keep up his winning streak?! Can Hilda possibly come back?!" The announcer exclaimed, earning a loud cheer from the crowd.

"Damn it, I thought that would work." Hilda said under her breath, as she returned Braviary. Both Ash and Hilda stepped back, as the battlefield sunk into the floor and was soon replaced by a new one.

"I knew what you were planning." Ash said, as he stepped back into his trainer's box.

"Huh?" Hilda voiced, quirking an eyebrow.

"You were trying to destroy the battlefield so that Meloetta would eventually trip. Then you could attack, while she was down." Ash explained, causing Hilda's eyes to widen.

"How did you know that?" Hilda asked, earning a chuckle from the raven-haired trainer.

"Remember what I said earlier?" Ash replied, as he tapped his head. "We have similar battling styles. What you were doing was something I would try and do."

"Shit. Now I have to really think outside the box!" Hilda whined, placing her hands on her hips. "Well Ash Ketchum you're turning out to be one tough opponent so far."

"Oh, I don't plan on losing." Ash said with a smirk.

"Neither do I." Hilda said, returning Ash's smirk with one of her own.

"Hilda, please bring out your next Pokemon!"

"Alright Ash, this is where I make my comeback!" Hilda exclaimed, as she grabbed a Pokeball off her belt. The brunette tossed the ball into the air; enlarging as it fell back down. "Serperior, I choose you!" The Regal Pokemon hissed, as it materialized in front of Hilda.

"Whoa, you have a Serperior too?" Ash asked, as Hilda petted Serperior's neck.

"Yeah, Serperior was my first Pokemon." Hilda replied with a smile, looking up at Serperior. "We've been together for a long time, and we've been through so much together."

"It's the same for me and Pikachu." Ash said, grinning at down at Pikachu; who was standing on the field right next to him. "I have two Serperior as well, we should get all our Serperior together sometime."

"That sounds nice Ash. I bet our Serperior would get along great." Hilda said with a smile. "But let's discuss this later, we have a battle to finish now."

"That's right, I still have to take your title from you." Ash said with a smirk, earning a chuckle from Hilda.

"Serperior vs. Meloetta, battle begin!"

"You'll have to beat me first!" Hilda exclaimed with a wide grin. "Serperior use Leaf Blade!" The Regal Pokemon shot towards Meloetta at an incredible speed. Serperior hugged the ground, as it slithered towards Meloetta.

"Holy shit that things fast!" Ash thought, as he watched Serperior race towards Meloetta. Once the Regal Pokemon was close enough it sprang into the air; it's tail glowing bright green. "Meloetta you have to dodge!" The Melody Pokemon barely managed to dodge Serperior's attack. Meloetta managed to jump back at the last second. Ash's eyes widened when he saw Meloetta panting heavily with sweat pouring off her brow. "Shit, Meloetta is exhausted. She probably barely has the energy to finish this battle."

Meloetta's exhaustion wasn't missed by Hilda. The brunette smirked, as she came up with a strategy. "Serperior, use back to back Leaf Blades!" The Regal Pokemon nodded and sped towards Meloetta; it's tail glowing green once again.

"Damn it! She noticed that Meloetta is tired, and now she's gonna try to wear Meloetta down!" Ash thought, as his mind raced to come up with a strategy. The raven-haired trainer's eyes widened when an idea popped into his head. "Meloetta, use Toxic on the ground all around you quick!" The Melody Pokemon gave Ash a confused look, but followed her command anyways. Meloetta unleashed a stream of poisonous goo that pooled on the ground around her.

"What's he doing?" Hilda said under her breath, as she watched Meloetta coat the ground in purple goo.

"Now hit the goo with Fire Punch!" Hilda gasped when she saw Meloetta slam a flame coated fist into the poisonous sludge surrounding the battlefield around her. Like fire hitting an oil slick, the toxic goo burst into intense flames that spread around the battlefield. Serperior roared in pain, as it was caught in the middle of the firestorm. The searing flames licked Serperior's body, as it quickly escaped from the inferno.

"What an ingenious strategy implemented by Ash! He stopped Serperior's attack, while doing damage at the same time! What else will he think of!?" The announcer exclaimed, rallying a round of cheers from the crowd.

"Damn it, I didn't see that coming." Hilda said, Serperior slithering back in front of her. The Regal Pokemon hissed in pain; several burn marks covered its body. "You okay Serperior?" The Regal Pokemon turned its head and nodded.

"Meloetta, can you still fight?" Ash asked in a concerned tone. Meloetta slowly nodded, as she wiped some sweat off her brow. "Alright then use Quick Attack!" The Melody Pokemon became surrounded in a white glow, as she rather sluggishly shot towards Serperior.

"Serperior, dodge to the left then use Wrap!" The Regal Pokemon dove to the left, easily dodging Meloetta's attack. Before Meloetta could get too far away, Serperior's tail shot out and wrapped around Meloetta. With Meloetta caught, Serperior slowly began to tighten it's hold around the Melody Pokemon. Meloetta gasped in pain, as she was slowly crushed by Serperior's powerful tail.

"What do I do?!" Ash thought frantically, as Meloetta let out another pained scream. Meloetta's piercing voice suddenly gave Ash an idea. "Meloetta you have to use Hyper Voice!" Meloetta inhaled as much as she could, and turned her head towards Serperior. The Melody Pokemon then unleashed a barrage of powerful point blank sound waves. Serperior's head snapped back as it was hit by the sound waves. "Keep it up!"

"Serperior! Don't let go of Meloetta! Keep squeezing tighter!" Hilda yelled over Meloetta's deafening shouts. The brunette knew that this had no turned into a battle of attrition, and winner would be the Pokemon who could endure the attacks the longest. Heading it's trainers words, Serperior continued to tighten its hold on Meloetta; despite the continuous pain it was receiving from Hyper Voice. After almost a full minute, Meloetta's shouts began to become quieter. Moments later the Melody Pokemon slumped forward in Serperior's vice-like grip. Panting heavily and sweating profusely; Serperior loosened it's grip on Meloetta. The Melody Pokemon fell to the ground completely drained and unconscious.

"Meloetta is unable to battle, the winner is Serperior!"

"MY WORD! Hilda has managed to defeat a legendary Pokemon! After a grueling battle, Serperior came out on top!" The announcer roared over the PA, causing the crowd to burst into a flurry of cheers for Hilda's victory.

"You were amazing." Ash said softly, as he gently picked Meloetta up off the ground. The Melody Pokemon turned her head, and smiled weakly at Ash. "You get some rest, okay?" Meloetta nodded slowly, so Ash returned her to her Cherish Ball. "Well Hilda that was quite impressive. Your Serperior sure can take a beating."

"I had to pull out all the stops during that battle. That Meloetta of yours in really tough." Hilda said with a small smile. "He really cares deeply for all his Pokemon."

"Yeah she is." Ash said quietly, as he clipped Meloetta's ball back onto his belt. He then unclipped another ball, and enlarged it. Hilda's eyes widened when she saw what the ball looked like.

"Wait, you brought another one?" Hilda asked in a shocked tone.

"I said I'd give you a battle you'd never forget." Ash said with a gleeful smirk, as he tossed a second Cherish Ball into the air. "Victini I choose you!" The Victory Pokemon burst onto the field in a burst of red hot flames. Victini began to giggle, as he playfully flew around Ash.

"WHAT'S THIS!? Ash has brought out a second legendary Pokemon, and it's from Unova as well!" The announcer's declaration echoed throughout the stadium. The crowd roared in applause at the sight of another legendary Pokemon.

"Serperior vs. Victini, battle begin!"

"Are you still good to go, Serperior?" Hilda asked in a motherly tone. The Regal Pokemon weakly nodded its head. However Hilda wasn't convinced by this. Serperior was breathing heavily, and its body was covered in burns and bruises. "Don't lie Serperior, you're in no condition to battle." Serperior was about to deny this, but it stopped when it saw the look on Hilda's face. The brunette looked concerned, she didn't want Serperior to get seriously injured. Serperior let out a sigh, and nodded its head once again. "Official, I forfeit Serperior."

"Hilda has forfeited Serperior! Now please send out your next Pokemon!"

"That was very kind of you Hilda. I'm glad you didn't push Serperior to continue battling." Ash complimented, as he gave Hilda a warm look. "I would have done the same thing."

"Thanks Ash." Hilda said, clipping Serperior's Pokeball back onto her belt. The brunette then grabbed the next ball off her belt. "Bisharp, I choose you!" The Sword Blade Pokemon landed on the field glaring at Victini.

"Huh, that's an interesting choice." Ash said, rubbing his chin. "But the wouldn't expect anything less from you."

"Bisharp vs. Victini, battle begin!"

"Victini start things off with Flame Charge!" The Victory Pokemon's body became engulfed in flames, as he flew towards Bisharp.

"Bisharp, counter with Sucker Punch!" Bisharp's bladed arm began to glow with dark energy, before it shot towards Victini.

"Quick Victini switch to Reversal!" Victini rolled underneath Bisharp's attack, and grabbed the Sword Blade Pokemon by the arm. With surprising strength, Victini flipped Bisharp over and slammed it into the ground. Groaning in pain, Bisharp slowly stood back on its feet. Victini let out a series of giggles, as he flew around the dazed Bisharp.

"Bisharp! Snap out of it, and use Night Slash!" Shaking its head violently, Bisharp let out a low growl. The Sword Blade Pokemon's arms began to glow black with dark-type energy. Moments later Bisharp charged towards Victini. However Victini seemed unfazed, as he playfully dodged all of Bisharp's attacks. The Victory Pokemon even taunted Bisharp; sticking out his tongue and shaking his butt at the attacking Pokemon. Bisharp let out an enraged roar, and began to wildly swing at Victini. But Victini just giggled, and continued to dodge Bisharp's frenzied attacks.

"Alright, that's enough playing around Victini." Ash said with a chuckle. "Use Searing Shot!" After dodging another one of Bisharp's attacks; Victini flew away from the Sword Blade Pokemon. Victini pulled his body into a tight ball, as he became engulfed in brilliant red flames. Seconds later, Victini shot towards Bisharp looking like a large fireball. With impressive speed Victini slammed into Bisharp. A massive firestorm engulfed Bisharp, along with half of the battlefield, after Victini made contact. When the flames died began to die down, Bisharp was still standing. But when the official took a closer look, he spotted that Bisharp was unconscious.

"Bisharp is unable to battle! The winner is Victini! Hilda would you please bring out your next Pokemon."

"Shit, Victini is really powerful." Hilda thought, as she returned Bisharp. The brunette's brown furrowed, as she grabbed another Pokeball off her belt. "I'm having a tough time coming up with a plan. I guess I'll just have to come up with something as I go." Hilda enlarge the Pokeball and threw it into the air. "Jellicent I choose you!" The Floating appeared in front of Hilda amidst a cloud of bubbles. The large Pokemon took up a good portion of Hilda's side of the field.

"Jellicent vs. Victini, battle begin!"

"Let's see how you like this! Jellicent start off with Water Spout!" Jellicent inhaled deeply before it fired a gigantic torrent of water at Victini.

"Victini dodge and use Grass Knot!" The Victory Pokemon flew quickly flew above Jellicent's attack. After dodging Water Spout, Victini began to glow dull green. Suddenly dozens of vines burst out of the ground, and wrapped themselves around Jellicent. The vines then slammed Jellicent onto the ground; holding the Floating Pokemon in place. "Great! Now use Energy Ball!" Victini quickly formed a rapidly spinning ball of grass-type energy, and fired it at Jellicent. The Floating Pokemon began to struggle against the vines, but it was to no avail. Seconds later Energy Ball hit, creating a small explosion. Jellicent was sent flying by the force of the attack, but it quickly recovered.

"Good recovery Jellicent! Fight bak with Hydro Pump!" Jellicent's cheeks bulged, as it gathered a large amount of water in its mouth. The Floating Pokemon then unleashed a powerful stream of water aimed at Victini. But once again Victini easily dodged the water. "Use Ominous Wind!" Ash's eyes widened, as Victini was bombarded by a purple flurry of wind. The Victory Pokemon was blown several feet back by the powerful wind, but eventually managed to straighten himself out.

"Victini use Thunder!" The Victory Pokemon's body became encased in flowing electricity. The powerful electricity but through the Ominous Wind, and acted as makeshift shield; protecting Victini. Moments later a bolt of lightning shot off Victini, and struck Jellicent. The Floating Pokemon howled in pain, as the electricity coursed through its body. "Now finish with Shadow Ball!" Victini created a ball of ghostly energy, and fired it at the stunned Jellicent. Shadow Ball hit, sending Jellicent crashing into the ground. When the official stepped forward, her declared Jellicent unconscious.

"Jellicent is unable to battle! The winner is Victini!"

"OH MY! Ash has really backed Hilda into a corner here! She's down to her last Pokemon, while Ash still has five left! The odds aren't looking good for Hilda right now!" The announcer exclaimed, as the audience held their breath; waiting to see the outcome of the battle.

"Hilda, will you please bring out your last Pokemon!"

"I knew Ash was an amazing trainer, but this is incredible. He thinks so quick on his feet, and employs genius off the wall strategies." Hilda said with a small smile, as she grabbed the last Pokeball on her belt. "There's no way I can beat him, but I won't go down without a fight." Hilda took her baseball cap off her head, letting her long brunette hair cascade down her back. Then with a large grin Hilda turned her cap backwards, similar to Ash. "Darmanitan I choose you!" The Blazing Pokemon exploded onto the field in a firestorm of searing flames.

"Oh, I'm getting fired up now!" Ash cheered with a wide smirk, as he twisted his own cap back. "It's time to finish this Hilda!"

"I couldn't agree more Ash!" Hilda exclaimed with her hands on her hips.

"Darmanitan vs. Victini, battle begin!"

"Flame Charge!" Hilda and Ash yelled simultaneously. Both fire-type Pokemon became encased in red-hot flames, as they charged towards one another. When the two Pokemon crashed together a fiery explosion engulfed the battlefield. The explosion was so large and intense that the official had to dive out of the way. However Ash and Hilda stood unfazed; a large smile spread across their faces.

"Darmanitan use Flamethrower!" The Blazing Pokemon gathered a large amount of fire in its mouth; before it fired it at Victini.

"Victini counter with Overheat!" The Victory Pokemon briefly glowed red; before it fired a massive stream of white hot flames at Darmanitan.

"What's he doing? Why lower Victini's special attack so early into the battle?" Hilda thought, as she watched Flamethrower and Overheat battle for dominance. After about thirty seconds Overheat won, and began to push Flamethrower back. Overheat hit Darmanitan, causing it to cringe in pain.

"Darmanitan, shake it off and use Belly Drum!" The Blazing roared, as it began to slap its stomach. Darmanitan flinched as its health was severely lowered. But moments later Darmanitan let out a mighty roar, as it felt massive power course through its body. "Great now use Headbutt!" With surprising speed, Darmanitan shot forward and headbutted Victini. The Victory Pokemon was sent flying across the battlefield; where it crashed into a wall. "Keep it up, use Hammer Arm!" Darmanitan's arm began to glow bright blue, as it raced towards Victini. The dazed Pokemon had just emerged from the wall when it was slammed into the ground by Hammer Arm. Darmanitan growled, as it grabbed Victini up off the ground and hurled him high into the air. "Now finish this with Fire Punch!" Darmanitan's fist became engulfed in flames, as it leaped towards the falling Victini.

"Victini!" Ash yelled, trying to get the injured Pokemon's attention. Hearing his trainers voice, Victini weakly turned his head towards Ash. "Gather all your remaining strength, and use V-Create! I know you have it in you!" Inspired by his trainers words, Victini straightened himself out. Gathering all his remaining strength, the Victory Pokemon's ear became engulfed in brilliant blue flames. The bright blue flames shot off Victini's ear, forming a massive flaming 'V' in the sky. The crowd was in awe, as Victini's flames lit up the night sky. Suddenly the flames receded back down to Victini's ears. Victini's entire body was surrounded in a blue aura, as he shot towards Darmanitan with incredible speed. The two Pokemon collided, creating a blinding explosion that shook the entire stadium. Both Pokemon were surrounded in a ball of incredibly hot blue flames. After almost a minute the blue fireball disappeared. Everyone was shocked to see Victini standing over an unconscious Darmanitan. A weak grin spread across Victini's face, as he held up the victory sign.

"Darmanitan is unable to battle! The winner is Victini! Since all of Hilda's Pokemon are unable to battle, the winner is the challenger Ash Ketchum of Pallet Town!"

The crowd was silent for a moment, before they burst into wild cheers and applause. Fireworks exploded in the air, and confetti rained down onto the battlefield. A stupid grin spread across Ash's face, as Victini flew into his arms. Ash held the Victory Pokemon tightly, and congratulated him on his amazing battle. Hilda watched the whole display with a small smile. The brunette spun around to look at the cheering crowd, and let out a wistful sigh.

"I'm sure gonna miss this." Hilda said, as she returned Darmanitan. She stopped and smiled when she saw Ash returning Victini. "But he deserves it more than I do." Placing her hands on her hips, Hilda walked up to Ash. "Well you weren't lying Ash. That was probably the funnest battle I've ever had in my entire life, and I know I'll never forget it." A grin spread across Hilda's face, as she stuck out her hand. "Congratulations."

Ash just stared at Hilda's hand with a blank look for a few moments. Hilda was about to say something, but Ash suddenly grabbed ahold of her wrist. Then in a move mirroring his victory in the Sinnoh league; Ash pulled Hilda in for a searing kiss. The brunette's eyes widened when she felt Ash's lips press against hers, but after a few moments of surprise Hilda immidiately began to kiss Ash back. The crowd cheered even louder, as the two trainers locked lips in the center of the battlefield. After a few more moments, Ash and Hilda broke their liplock; both their faces tinged bright pink.

"You have no idea how long I've wanted to do that." Ash said with a smile, as he cupped Hilda's cheek.

"Mmm, I can take a guess." Hilda purred, leaning into Ash's touch. "I've wanted to do something like for quite a while as well. I was always hoping you'd return my feelings."

"Hilda, I feel in love with you the moment I saw you all those years back in Kanto." Ash said, causing a massive smile to spread across the brunette's face. "I'd love it if you traveled with me and the rest of my group. Then once I become a Pokemon Master and defeat Tobias, we can all settle down and start a family together."

"You and all the other girls?" Hilda asked, as she turned to look at all of Ash's girls. They were all smiling at Hilda, as if waiting to hear her answer. "Count me in." Hilda then leaned forward, and captured Ash's lips in another passionate kiss. However the trainer's liplock was broken by someone clearing their throat behind them.

"I hate to interrupt, but congratulations my boy." The announcer said, shaking Ash's hand. "LADIES AND GENTLEMAN! GIVE IT UP FOR UNOVA'S NEW CHAMPION! ASH KETCHUM!" The crowd erupted into another round of cheers and whistles. "Would the new champion like to say something?!"

"Yeah. I have something to say to my mom." Ash said, grabbing the announcer microphone. The raven-haired trainer smiled, and turned to one of the TV cameras surrounding him. "Mom? I know you're at home watching this right now. I just wanted to say that I'm coming home." Ash flashed a toothy grin, as gave a thumbs up. "I'll see you soon mom."

Back in Kanto Delia Ketchum's shouts of joy could be heard throughout the entire town.
