Hey guys! I'm back with another chapter. Again, I apologize for the long waits for new chapters to come out. But as you all know I'm extremely busy. With work, college, and three other stories I'm writing, I have very little free time to actually relax and do some writing. So I thank you all for your continued support and patience. This story has passed 1,200 followers/favorites. That's completely mind-blowing to me, the only other story I have that's close to this one is my Fairy Tail story, which just recently broke 1,000 followers. It's extremely flattering to see that so many people enjoy my silly little stories. Well I know this is a chapter many of you have been waiting for, so I won't delay any longer. With all of that out of the way, let's get to the fic.
P.S. Gen 7 has been officially confirmed! And the new games are coming out later this year! The new games are called Pokemon Sun and Moon!

"*Sniffle* It's not fair..." Brock cried, as he curled himself into a ball on the floor. "Why is Ash *sniffle* always the lucky one?"
"Come on Brock, you're embarrassing yourself." Forrest said, sweat dropping at his older brother's childish behavior. "You're supposed to be the mature one in this situation. You're a doctor for Arceus sake."
"Man, this is just pathetic..." Ash thought, as he quirked an eyebrow. "I knew it would upset him, but...Arceus this quite possibly one of the saddest things I've ever seen." Releasing a heavy sigh, Ash walked up to Brock and crouched down next to him. Ash grabbed the front of Brock's vest, and yanked him up. "Oi, pull yourself together! You're almost thirty for fucks sake!" Cocking his arm back, Ash harshly slapped Brock across the face. "Stop acting like a fucking five year old who's jealous of the rich kid down the street! Do you want me to go fetch Toxicroak!? Because I'm sure he'd love to whip your ass into shape!" That seemed to knock some sense into Brock, because he managed to pull himself together a few moments later.
"Thanks...I guess I needed that." Brock said, rubbing the large red mark on his cheek.
"So, are we going to battle or what?" Ash asked, as he crossed his arms over his chest. "Because I didn't come all the way here to watch you cry like a little girl. I came here to beat your ass in a gym battle, and prove a damn point."
"Still as cocky as ever I see. But you're not the only one who's grown stronger. I may be a Pokemon doctor now, but I'm still qualified to be a gym leader." Brock said, gritting his teeth in anger. "If you think you have what it takes follow me."
"Lead the way, Brocko." Ash said with a confident smirk, as he followed Brock towards the battlefield. "Not like this battle is going to last very long anyways."
"What do you think Brock's of winning chances are?" Dawn whispered to May.
"He'll be lucky to take out one of Ash's Pokemon." May replied, just as Cynthia leaned in-between both girls.
"No, Brock will be lucky to land a single solid hit." Cynthia said with a small smile.
"Do you know what Pokemon Ash is going to use, Cynthia?" May asked, quirking a brunette eyebrow.
"He may have let it slip the other night after we had our 'alone' time." Cynthia explained, which caused a slight blush to spread across Dawn and May's faces. "Let's just say Ash won't have to do anything during this battle. He'll be able to kick back and relax."
"Man, Ash is really trying to embarrass Brock isn't he?" Dawn said, realizing what Pokemon Ash intended to use.
"Oh, this is gonna be fun to watch!" May cheered, as she clapped her hands together.
(Five Minutes Later; Pewter City Gym's Battlefield)
"The official three-on-three gym battle between the challenger, Ash Ketchum, and the gym's impromptu leader, Brock will begin! Are both trainers ready?!" Forrest called out, gesturing to both Brock and Ash. "Then please bring out your first Pokemon!"
"Crobat, come on out!" Brock exclaimed, as he threw his Pokeball onto the field. The Bat Pokemon materialized in the air amongst a bright flash of white light.
"Ah, so you decided to change up your Pokemon this time around." Ash said, a smirk on his face as he rubbed his chin. "Well it won't make much a of a difference. I think it's time your finally see the results of my training, Brocko." Ash reached onto his belt and grabbed a specific Pokeball. "I'll beat you with this one Pokemon."
"Tch, I'd love to see that." Brock taunted, as he crossed his arms over his chest. "Don't underestimate me Ash. I've been training hard in anticipation for this battle."
"Hmm, I bet you have." Ash said, his smirk widening. "But it won't help. Alright, Sceptile I choose you!" The raven-haired trainer threw his pokeball, and moments later the Forest Pokemon crashed onto the field in front of him.
"Are you joking?" Brock asked in a skeptical tone, as he quirked an eyebrow. "You're gonna beat me with Sceptile? I know you usually don't give a damn about type advantages, but you must know that Crobat has a huge advantage, right?"
"Oh, I know that Sceptile has a type disadvantage. But it won't matter." Ash said, beginning to walk off the battlefield. Brock was stunned when Ash waltzed over to where his group was. The raven-haired trainer plopped down in a seat between Dawn and Cynthia. Stifling a yawn, Ash pulled down his hat so that it covered his eyes. "Wake me up when the battle's over, okay?"
"Sure thing, Ash!" Dawn said with a bright smile.
"Oi! What the hell do you think you're doing?!" Brock screamed, his face red with anger. "I thought you came here for a battle?! Not a fucking nap!"
"I am here to battle, but I'm too tired to issue any commands." Ash said, not lifting up his hat. "But Sceptile is strong and smart enough to battle without my orders. So he's going to take you out all on his own, while I catch some extra sleep. That okay with you, Sceptile?" The Forest Pokemon nodded his head and gave Ash a thumbs up. "See. Sceptile's okay with it."
"WHAT?! This is ridiculous! I refuse to battle until you get your ass down here!" Brock yelled, causing a mischievous grin to spread across Ash's face.
"So...I guess you're just scared that you can't beat a Pokemon without its trainer then?" Ash said, as he kicked up his feat. Brock took the bait completely, and began to sputter in anger. "You said it yourself, Brocko. Crobat has a huge type advantage. So why should you care if I don't give Sceptile orders? With all your extra training this shoulder be an east victory for you, right?"
"*Growl* Fine, I'll quick win this battle and wipe that smug look off your face." Brock said through grit teeth.
"Crobat vs. Sceptile, battle begin!"
"Oh, I almost forgot one thing." Ash said, rolling down his sleeve. Revealing the megaring on his wrist, Ash pressed the pink stone in the center. Sceptile was immidiately bathed in a bright pink light, and began to transform. When the light died down the newly unveiled Mega Sceptile let out a mighty roar. "Okay Sceptile...go play." In the blink of an eye Sceptile had shot forward and grabbed ahold of Crobat. The Bat Pokemon's eyes widened when Sceptile suddenly hurled it towards the ground. Sceptile kept the pressure up, and smashed a glowing tail into Crobat; rocketing the Bat Pokemon into the ground. A large amount of debris was kicked up when Crobat crashed into the rocky battlefield.
"Crobat! Are you alright!?" Brock exclaimed, as he tried to peer through the smoke. He released a sigh of relief when he saw Crobat fly up out of the smoke, however he did notice a that Crobat seemed to have trouble flying. "How is Sceptile so fast now? I didn't even see it move, and the power of that Slam was incredible. I have to think of something." Brock tensed when he saw that Sceptile appeared to be preparing for another attack. "Crobat, get in close and use Poison Fang!"
"Wrong move..." Ash muttered underneath his breath, a wicked smile spreading across his face. "Sceptile loves close range fighting."
As Crobat raced forward, Sceptile came up with an attack plan. When Sceptile figured out his plan of attack, he took a defensive stance and waited for his moment to strike. When Crobat was in range Sceptile suddenly shot forward, which surprised Brock and Crobat. Crobat bared its purple glowing fangs and prepared to bite Sceptile, but Sceptile easily slide underneath Crobat's attack. Quickly springing to his feet, Sceptile grabbed Crobat once again. Sceptile cocked his fist back, and hit Crobat several times with a bright glowing fist.
"That was Dragon Claw. Looks like Sceptile has learned some new tricks." Brock thought, gritting his teeth as he watched Sceptile pummel Crobat. "This doesn't make any sense! I should have the upper hand here, but Sceptile is completely decimating Crobat! What kind of training did Ash do while he was gone? Maybe I was wrong to...No! I can still win this! I just have to-"
"Will you stop playing around, Sceptile." Ash said lazily, as he slightly lifted up his cap. "Just finish Crobat off already, I think you've had enough fun." Nodding in acknowledgment, Sceptile hurled Crobat in the air. Moments later, Sceptile unleashed a power Dragon's Breath attack. The bright blue flames engulfed Crobat, causing the Bat Pokemon to holler in pain. With this last attack, Crobat crashed into the ground unconscious.
"Crobat is unable to battle, the winner is Sceptile! Brock, please bring out your next Pokemon!"
"Sceptile knows Dragon's Breath too...That thing really is a dragon now...I guess I really did underestimate Ash." Brock thought, returning Crobat to its pokeball. "I barely got off a single attack...If he took out Crobat so easily, I don't I stand a chance in this battle." Brock silently sighed, and unclipped another Pokeball off his belt. "Alright, Blissey let's do this!"
"Blissey?" Flannery questioned in a confused tone.
"That's quite an odd choice." Roxie commented, as she scratched her cheek.
"Indeed, that was quite unexpected." Anabel said, narrowing her eyes as she tried to think. "What's Brock got planned?"
"He going for a battle of attrition." Ash said, which caused all of his girls to look at him.
"Battle of attrition?" Hilda parroted, quirking a brunette eyebrow.
"He's going to try and wear Sceptile out." Ash explained, as he glanced at Sceptile underneath the bill of his hat. "He thinks he can use Blissey's high resilience and healing abilities to whittle Sceptile down until he's exhausted." As Ash explained this another smirk spread across his face. "Sorry to say this Brocko, but Sceptile doesn't get tired real easily. If you want to wear Sceptile down we're gonna be hear all day. Sceptile's gonna be the one to win this siege."
"Blissey vs. Sceptile, battle begin!"
"Blissey use Ice Beam!" The Happiness Pokemon inhaled deeply before she unleashed a super effective beam of ice energy. Sceptile easily dodged the attack, and leaped into the air. Seconds later, Sceptile slammed a white-glowing fist into Blissey's stomach. The Happiness Pokemon was sent skidding back by the force of the attack.
"That was Brick Break. There was a lot of power behind that attack as well. Sceptile is on a completely different from when I last saw him." Brock thought, just as Blissey came to a complete stop. "Blissey get ready to heal up, use Wish!" The Happiness Pokemon began to faintly glow, before a ball of energy shot off her body and into the air.
"You better get to work Sceptile, because you're gonna be back to square one if that Wish lands." Ash said, leaning back in his seat and yawning slightly. "I know you can do this, so don't be afraid to go all out."
Sceptile let out a mighty roar, and shot forward at a blinding speed. Within a half a second, Sceptile was in front of Blissey. Sceptile ducked low and hit Blissey with a powerful Low Sweep. The Happiness Pokemon screamed in pain, as she felt her legs go numb. Not relenting, Sceptile struck Blissey with three rapid Power-Up Punches, raising his attack power even higher. Blissey was sent flying back, but she managed to correct herself and land safely.
"Quick Blissey use Soft-Boiled to heal yourself!" The egg in Blissey's pouch began to glow brightly, as she healed herself. But Sceptile wasn't going to let that happen. Before Blissey could finish healing, Sceptile shoved a super-effective Focus Blast into Blissey's chest. The giant sphere of energy slammed into Blissey, and sent the Happiness Pokemon rocketing back into the gym's wall. Blissey was imbedded in a large crater in the wall, barely able to move. "Blissey! Are you okay?!"
"I'd say you have less than thirty seconds before Wish lands. You'd better hurry, Sceptile." Ash said with a hidden smile on his face. "You'd better finish Blissey off quick, or you'll be all the way back at step one." Sceptile growled and charged towards the still dazed Blissey. As Sceptile rapidly approached, Blissey slowly climbed out of the wall. With a pained grunt, Blissey landed back onto the rocky battlefield.
"I have to do something! Anything!" Brock thought, gritting his teeth in frustration.
"Blissey if you still can, use Ice Beam!" The Happiness rapidly shook her head to get rid of her dizziness. With using the last of her energy, Blissey inhaled deeply; the air around her chilling. However, Sceptile was expecting this. In the blink of an eye, Sceptile used Double Team and formed over a dozen copies of himself. Sceptile and his clones began to rapidly leap around the numerous rocks littering the battlefield, which managed to utterly confuse Blissey. The Happiness began to panic, as she tried to figure out which Sceptile was the real one. But this indecisiveness proved to be Blissey's downfall. Because of her hesitation Sceptile Slam attack; causing Blissey to crash into the ground head first. Sceptile gently nudged Blissey over with his foot, revealing that the Happiness Pokemon was out cold. To add insult to injury, Healing Wish landed mere seconds after Blissey was knocked unconscious.
"Blissey is unable to battle, the winner is Sceptile! Brock, please bring out your last Pokemon!"
"You tried your best Blissey, good job." Brock muttered, as he reclipped Blissey's pokeball to his belt. When Brock looked back up at Sceptile he was shocked at what he saw. "Sceptile hasn't even broken a sweat yet?! How strong is that thing!? If Sceptile is this strong...how strong are Ash's other Pokemon? The rest of his Pokemon may be this...Who am I kidding, I know the rest of his Pokemon are this strong. I've seen him battling in the league tournaments. I don't stand a chance against him...I don't think any of us do. I guess I was wrong to doubt him. If I had known he had this much potential within him, I never would have doubted him. After this battle...After this battle I'll say something...Even if he doesn't accept my apology, I want him to know that I'm sorry. I was his first friend on his journey, so my betrayal probably hurt him the most. Well they're all expecting a battle, so I'll give them one." With a light sigh, Brock grabbed his last pokeball. "Swampert, let's do this!" With a loud roar, the Mud Fish Pokemon landed onto the field in front of Brock.
"This is the battle I've been waiting for." Ash said, sitting up in his seat. The raven-haired trainer's sudden eagerness surprised his group.
"What's up, Ash? You perked up all of a sudden. I thought you wanted to catch some sleep." Cilan said, as he scratched the back of his head.
"Yeah, you couldn't give a shit about this battle a minute ago." Burgundy said, crossing her arms underneath her chest.
"Just wait and watch. I gave Brocko a little gift a while back, and I've been dying to see it in action." Ash said cryptically, as he leaned forward in his seat to get a better view.
"I guess it's time to finally use this thing in a real battle." Brock said under his breath, rolling down his sleeve.
"*Gasp* Is that what I think it is?!" Dawn asked in shock when she spotted the familiar ring on Brock's wrist.
"Bingo, that's a megaring." Ash said, as smirk spread across his face.
"Where did Brock get one of those?" Cynthia asked, causing Ash to chuckle lightly.
"I gave it to him." Ash replied, which caused everyone's eyes to widen. "It's the gift I said I sent him."
"Why would you give him a megaring?" Roxie asked, confused as to why Ash would give his opponent something to make his Pokemon stronger.
"It's simple really..." Ash said, as he crossed his arms over his chest. "I wanted to make this battle interesting."
"Alright, let's do this Swampert!" Brock exclaimed, pressing the stone on his megaring. Immidiately Swampert was encased in a blinding pink light. After a few moments the light died down, revealing Swampert's new form. Everyone from Ash's group, minus Ash himself, was left speechless by what they saw.
"What..."
"The..."
"Hell?"
"It looks like it took a bunch of steroids!" Flannery yelled, as she stared at Mega Swampert.
"It's kinda hard to look at." Anabel said, averting her eyes away from Swampert.
"Don't let its looks fool you." Ash said, as he closely watched the battle that was about to unfold. "If Brocko does what I think he will, this battle is about to get very intense...Sceptile has been anticipating this battle."
"Swampert vs. Sceptile, battle begin!"
"Swampert, start off with Rain Dance!" Swampert let out a mighty roar, and dark rainclouds immidiately formed over the battlefield. A harsh rain began to pelt the field moments later.
"Rain Dance? Why's Brock starting with that?" May asked, her full attention on the battle.
"It's because Mega Swampert's ability is Swift Swim." Ash explained, a large smirk on his face. "With it's speed doubled, Swampert is now almost as fast as Sceptile. And with Swampert's already incredible attack power, Sceptile will have to pull out all the stops."
"Sceptile will probably just use a lot of long range grass type attacks, and end this battle quickly. It'd be easiest that way." Brock thought, but he was shocked when Sceptile immidiately charged towards Swampert. "It's going in for close range attacks?!" Brock was shocked by this sudden turn of events, so he quick had to change his strategy. "Swampert, use Ice Punch!" The Mud Fish Pokemon cocked its fist back, coating it in powerful ice energy. As Sceptile neared Swampert, the razor like leaves on his arms began to glow bright green. Seconds later Leaf Blade clashed with Ice Punch. A small shockwave burst out as both powerful attacks battled for dominance.
"Since Ice Punch is an ice-type move, it should be able to easily overpower Leaf Blade." Brock thought, watching Swampert and Sceptile locked in what appeared to be a stalemate. But Brock was shocked to see that Sceptile was slowly pushing Swampert back. "What?! How is that poss-" It was then that Brock remembered something from earlier in the match. "That's right! Sceptile hit Blissey with those Power-Up Punches! With all those attack boosts, Sceptile must be stronger than Swampert! He must have planned that from the start!"
Sceptile let out a mighty roar, as he finally overpowered Swampert. Stumbling backwards, Swampert was unable to defend itself as Sceptile made his move. Launching forward, Sceptile hit Swampert with two devastating Leaf Blades. Being both a water and ground-type, Swampert was severely hurt by Sceptile's attack. The Mud Fish Pokemon howled in pain, as it was sent skidding backwards. Coming to a stop, Swampert began to pant heavily.
"Is it over?" Hilda asked, quirking an eyebrow.
"No..." Ash said, his smirk widening. "It's just getting started."
Swampert raised its head, and Sceptile grinned when he saw the fiery determination in Swampert's eyes. With a deafening roar, Swampert charged towards Sceptile.
"Swampert! What are you doing?!" Brock exclaimed, shocked by Swampert's sudden aggression.
"Calm down Brock." Ash said, resting his head on his hand with an amused look on his face.. "Just let Swampert take over right now."
Swampert raced towards Sceptile, its large fists glowing bright white. When Sceptile was in range, Swampert unleashed a barrage of powerful Brick Breaks. However, Sceptile used his superior speed to dodge each of Swampert's attacks. This only enraged Swampert further. The Mud Fish Pokemon began to destroy most of the battlefield in its attempt to hit Sceptile.
"Looks like Sceptile is having a blast." Ash commented when he saw the large smile on Sceptile's face.
Letting out another furious roar, Swampert stopped trying to hit Sceptile. Instead Swampert stopped and inhaled deeply, before unleashing a massive Blizzard attack. But before the attack could hit, Sceptile seemed to simply vanish. Swampert began to frantically search around the battlefield for Sceptile. Then with the speed and stealth of a ninja Sceptile struck; slashing Swampert with another double Leaf Blade attack. Swampert collapsed to its knees, panting heavily. The Mud Fish Pokemon looked exhausted, and was covered in numerous wounds. Taking four super-effective Leaf Blades left Swampert severely injured. But despite its wounds, Swampert persisted and slowly got back onto its feet. Sceptile smiled, seeing the determination in Swampert's eyes.
"It all comes down to this." Ash said, getting everyone's attention. "This will be Swampert's last attack. So it's going to put everything it has left into this next attack."
Growling, Swampert charged towards Sceptile with its fists glowing light blue. Ice energy blazed off Swampert's fists as it raced towards Sceptile. Like how the battle first started, Ice Punch clashed with Leaf Blade. Much like before both Pokemon were locked in a brief stalemate, before Sceptile started to slowly overpower Swampert. But before Sceptile could fully overpower Swampert, the Mud Fish Pokemon attempted to headbutt Sceptile. However, Sceptile's quick reflexes allowed it to dodge the powerful headbutt. But Swampert had one last trick up its sleeve. As Sceptile dodged Swampert's headbutt, he spotted Swampert's other fist swinging towards his head. Sceptile grinned at Swampert's clever plan, but decided that it was finally time to end the fight. The Forest Pokemon's eyes glowed blue, as he used Detect to predict the path of Swampert's punch and adjust himself to dodge the second attack. When Swampert's surprise attack missed, Sceptile quickly kneed the Mud Fish Pokemon in the stomach. Swampert collapsed to the ground gasping for air. Powering up one last Brick Break, Sceptile ended the battle by smashing Swampert into the ground. When the dust and debris settled, it was clear that Swampert was unconscious.
"Swampert is unable to battle, the winner is Sceptile! Since all of Brock's Pokemon are unable to continue, the winner is Ash Ketchum!"
"Nice job buddy." Ash said, walking up to Sceptile and petting him on the head. "You really were amazing out there." Sceptile smiled brightly, and nuzzled his head against Ash's. "Alright, alright. I get it. I love you too buddy. Now get some much deserved rest." Ash pulled out Sceptile's pokeball and returned him.
"You were great Swampert." Brock said, as he returned the Mud Fish Pokemon. "I guess we'll just have to train harder next time." After returning Swampert, Brock looked up to see Ash walking towards him. Brock hung his head when Ash stopped in front of him. "So, you here to gloat now? I know you just want to rub it in my face that I was wrong to doubt you."
"You're right, I do want to rub it in your face...but I won't." Ash said, surprising the Pokemon doctor. "I've proven my point, and that's enough for me."
"You really have grown up..." Brock said, as a sad smile spread across his face. "Listen Ash...I'm-"
"Save it." Ash said, cutting Brock off mid-sentence. "I already know what you're going to say...and I accept your apology. I'm not the type of person to hold hatred in his heart." When Ash saw Brock perk up, he quickly stopped him before he could say anything. "But you hurt me badly, Brock. You were my first traveling companion on my journey, and I thought you believed in me the most. So your betrayal hit me the hardest. While I know you're sorry, it's gonna take me quite a while to forgive you. You're going to have to work very hard to regain my trust. Hell, you may never my trust again, are we clear?"
"Yeah...yeah I understand." Brock said, as he raised his head. "I'm just glad that I at least have a chance to repair our broken friendship." A small smile spread across Brock's face as he held out his hand for Ash to shake. "Maybe when you're done traveling we can get a drink together and catch up." A lecherous grin spread across Brock's face when he looked at several girls from Ash's group. "Because it's seems like you'd have a lot to tell me."
"Heh, get a girlfriend first and then we'll talk." Ash said with a grin, shaking Brock's hand. With a quick wave, Ash walked back to his group. "See around Brocko. I hope you'll cheer for me during the Kanto league."
"You know I will." Brock called out, as Ash left with his group. When Ash was gone, Brock hung his head again and released a heavy sigh. "Damn it...I really do need to get a girlfriend."
"Don't worry, bro." Forrest said, patting Brock on the back. "You'll find the right girl someday."
(Outside Pewter City's Gym)
"Well I must say that was truly a spectacular battle, Ash." Cilan complemented with a large grin. "You're Sceptile is truly a sight to behold."
"Yeah, he's a monster!" Burgundy said with a grin of her own. "He's probably almost as powerful as some of your legendary Pokemon."
"What can I say, Sceptile is a hard worker." Ash said with a shrug of his shoulders. "Out of all my Pokemon he'd always train the hardest and the longest. All that extra training time paid off."
"So where are we going next, Ash?" Anabel asked, linking her arm with Ash's.
"Are you going to battle Misty next?" May asked, as she grabbed Ash's other arm.
"Nah, I'm going to save Misty for last." Ash replied, and began to quietly hum. "To be honest I don't really know where we're going to go next. I'll figure it out later. Let's just head to the Pokemon Center first, because we need to rest for the night."
"Sounds like a rockin idea." Roxie said, as she grabbed the map from Cilan's bag. "There's a Pokemon Center just a few blocks ahead."
Great, let's get gOMPH" Ash was cut off when he ran into something. Looking down, Ash was surprised to see what appeared to be a Pokemon floating in front of him. Because it was dark out, it took Ash a moment to recognize the Pokemon. But when Ash's eyes fully adjusted to the dark they immidiately widened. "Hoopa! Is that you?!"
And done! That's it for Ash's confrontation with Brock. While Ash may have accepted Brock's apology, he hasn't forgiven him yet. I hope it was worth the wait. Also Ash has now run in to Hoopa. Now I haven't watched the movie with Hoopa, and to be honest I don't plan to. But I will look up a plot synopsis so I at least get the gist of how Ash and Hoopa met.
