Hey guys, I'm finally back with a new chapter from this fic. I want to sincerely apologize for the longer than average wait for this chapter. But I've been absolutely bombarded by school and work lately, plus the Far Harbor dlc came out Fallout 4, and all of that has been severely draining any motivation and desire I have to write. But my winter classes have ended, and I'll have some free time before I start summer classes, so I decided I finally make some time to get this chapter out. So thank you all for your continued patience, and thank you for not bombarding me with reviews and PMs asking me to update. Also, this fic has officially passed 1,300 followersand 1,300 favorites, and is creeping towards a 1,000 reviews (let's see if we can break 1,000 with this chapter). It still blows me away how much support this fic gets, so thank you all for continuing to read. Also, I haven't seen any of the X and Y Pokemon movies, so I'm just winging Hoopa's personality off what I've read in the movie's wiki. So, if you've seen the movie I apologize if Hoopa seems OOC or something.

P.S. I will be finishing my Naruto fic soon, so I've put up a poll on profile asking what series you would like to see a fic from next. There's no guarantee I'll actually write the fic anytime soon, but I do want to know what you guys would like to see. So, don't forget to go vote after you read this chapter.

Well, enough of my rambling, let's get to the fic!

(Outside the Pewter City Gym)

"Hoopa is that you?!" Ash exclaimed, staring at the mythical Pokemon with wide eyes.

"It sure is Ashkan!" Hoopa cheered, as it happily flew around Ash. The Mischief Pokemon stopped and smiled brightly when it saw Pikachu. "It's great to see you too, Pikan!"

"Pika! Pikachu!" The Mouse Pokemon said, energetically waving at Hoopa.

"Where have you been Hoopa? It's been ages since I saw you?" Ash asked, just as he felt his hat disappear. Looking up, Ash spotted one of Hoopa's rings above his head. "Hey! Give my hat back!"

"No! It's my hat now!" Hoopa laughed, placing Ash's hat on its head and running away from the raven-haired trainer. "If you want it you'll have to catch me!"

"Get back here!" Ash yelled, as he tried to catch Hoopa. But every time Ash was about to catch Hoopa, the Mischief Pokemon would use a portal to reappear somewhere else.

"Cynthia?" Hilda asked, watching Ash fail to capture Hoopa. "Have you seen that Pokemon before?"

"No, this is my first time actually seeing a Hoopa." Cynthia replied, as she rubbed her chin. "I've heard stories and rumors about it, but there have only been a handful of reported sightings." Cynthia smiled as she watched Hoopa continue to tease Ash. "It's a rather playful Pokemon, isn't it?"

"That's for sure." Dawn said, covering her mouth to suppress her giggles. "It's quite the troublemaker."

"Alright! That's enough! I'm getting my hat back now!" Ash yelled, as he suddenly came to a skidding stop. Taking a calming breath, Ash closed his eyes and began to focus his aura. Remembering his training with Lucario, Ash focused his aura into his eyes. When Ash reopened his eyes they were electric blue.

"You giving up Ash!?" Hoopa teased, poking its head out of a ring behind Ash. "You might as well, because you're never gonna catch me!"

"We'll see about that." Ash said, as he ran towards Hoopa. But, just like before Hoopa disappeared into its portal to dodge Ash. However, with his aura enhanced senses, Ash was now able to track Hoopa. After a few moments Ash discovered where Hoopa would reemerge. "Gotcha!" A split second before Hoopa reappeared, Ash dove towards where the portal would be. When Hoopa poked his head out of its portal it was shocked to see that Ash was already there. Yelping in surprised, Hoopa attempted to duck back into its ring, but Ash was faster and grabbed the mythical Pokemon.

"No fair! You totally cheated!" Hoopa whined, lightly thrashing in Ash's arms. "There's no way you could have caught me! I want a do over! Round two, let's go!"

"That's enough now Hoopa." Ash said, as he took his hat back and placed it back onto his head. "We can play again later."

"You promise?" Hoopa asked, looking up at Ash with hopeful eyes.

"Of course." Ash replied with a large grin. "It's always fun to play with you, but my hat is off limits. Got it?"

"Okay!" Hoopa cheered, as it turned its head away from Ash. The raven-haired trainer never spotted the mischievous smile on Hoopa's face.

"Ash, who is this Pokemon?" May asked, walking up to get a better look at Hoopa. Pulling out her Pokedex, May searched for any information on Hoopa, but nothing came up. "There's nothing on it in the Pokedex."

"Yeah, I've never heard of this rockin little dude before." Roxie said, as she patted Hoopa on the head, earning a content sigh from the mythical Pokemon. "He's quite an interesting ability to."

"Everyone, this little prankster is Hoopa." Ash announced, presenting the Pokemon for the whole group to see. "He's a really rare Pokemon I met while I was traveling the Kalos region."

"Let me guess, you helped him save the world or something?" Iris asked with a teasing smirk.

"Heh, yeah kinda." Ash replied, as he rubbed the back of his head. "So how have you been Hoopa, it's been a long time since I last saw you."

"I've been pretty good, but it was kinda boring without you and Pikan around. I'm just glad I finally managed to find you." Hoopa said, smiling brightly at Ash. "Papa Arceus said you could use my help in achieving your dream and stopping bad people. So I rushed over as soon as he told me."

"Well I'm really happy to hear that." Ash said, as he pulled out a Cherish Ball. "You'll be a big help and I bet all my other Pokemon will be happy to see you. Just...please don't give Professor Juniper too much trouble."

"Don't worry Ash! I'll try my best to be good!" Hoopa cheered, causing Ash and everyone else to sweatdrop.

"That's not very reassuring." Ash thought, as he release a light sigh. "Alright, you ready to be captured?"

"Wait, there's one thing I need to tell you real quick." Hoopa said, which caused Ash to quirk an eyebrow. "I ran into big brother Volcanion on my way here. He told me that he'd be meeting you soon, but I don't know when he'll catch be here. You know how slow he is, so it might take him a while."

"Okay, thanks for letting me know Hoopa. It'll be nice to see Volcanion again." Ash said, as he tapped Hoopa on the head with the Cherish Ball. "See you later buddy."

"Bye Ashkan! Bye Pikan!" Hoopa exclaimed, waving at everyone before he was sucked into the Cherish Ball in a beam of red light.

"Well that sure was interesting." Flannery said, as she placed her hands on her hips. The fiery red-head turned to her lover. "So Ash, where we heading next?"

"Are we going to Cerulean City?" Anabel asked, causing Ash to shake his head.

"No, I'll save Misty for last." Ash said, as he took a digital map out of his bag. "I was actually thinking we could go to the Cinnabar Island gym next."

"Ah, so you want to challenge Blaine next." Flannery said, walking up to Ash. "He's quite the expert on fire-type Pokemon."

"You've heard of Blaine?" Ash asked, as he quirked an eyebrow.

"Of course! He's a world famous fire-type trainer." Flannery replied with a grin. "Any good fire-type trainer has at least heard of Blaine."

"Huh, I didn't know he was so famous." Ash said, shrugging his shoulders. "Well everyone get a good night's sleep, because we're heading for Cinnabar Island tomorrow morning. It'll be a long ferry ride to Cinnabar, so be ready for that."

"Can't we just fly there?" Iris complained, as she crossed her arms over her chest.

"Normally we would fly to save time, but we've been using our Pokemon to fly around a lot lately. So I figured we should give them a rest for a while." Ash said, patting Iris on the head, much to the girl's chagrin. However, Iris' annoyance was dashed when Ash smiled brightly at her. "Don't worry Iris it will only be a few days."

"O-Okay..." Iris muttered, a faint blush dusting across her cheeks, as her heart beat rapidly in her chest. "Damn, just his smile makes me feel all giddy inside."

"Man, I can't wait to hit the beach!" May cheered, pumping her fist into the air. "I heard that Cinnabar Island has amazing beaches!"

"Oh, I've heard that too!" Dawn exclaimed, as she clasped her hands in front of her chest. "One of the magazines I've read said that Cinnabar Island has some of the best beaches in the world!"

"It's true, Cinnabar's beaches are quite beautiful." Ash said, the group began to make their way back to the Pokemon Center. "I guess we can head to the beach before my gym battle."

"Thanks you Ash!" Dawn and May yelled, both girls hugging one of Ash's arms. The feeling of both girls' breasts pressing against his arms caused a fierce blush to spread across Ash's face.

"W-Well it'll be n-nice to relax before my g-gym battle." Ash stuttered out, as he tried to fight the raging blush on his face. "Plus it will be awesome to see all of the girls in their swimsuits."

(Four Days Later; Cinnabar Island)

"Whoa! That long boat ride was totally worth it!" May exclaimed, gazing in awe at the pristine beach that lay before her. The beach's sand was pure white and the water was a beautiful blue. May scanned around and saw that the stretch of beach was completely empty "Oh, it's like we've got our own private beach!" May took a breath of the ocean air and let out a content sigh. "Man, I've never seen such clear water!"

"Those magazines didn't lie! This beach is amazing!" Dawn gushed, as she walked up to the water and put a foot in. "Ah, the water feels so nice!"

"Come on Dawn! Let's get in the water already!" May yelled, quickly stripping off her sun dress; revealing a red two-piece bikini underneath. Before she went into the water, May grabbed something from her bag. "I don't want to leave you out." May enlarged the Pokeball in her hand and threw it into the air. "Manaphy, come on out!" In a bright flash of white light, the Seafaring Pokemon appeared in front of May. "Wanna come swimming with momma?" Manaphy immidiately cheered in approval. "Alright, let's go!" Picking Manaphy up, May ran into the water; her large breasts bouncing with each step.

"Yeah, I've been waiting for a good swim!" Iris cheered, as ran she ran after May; her long hair flowing behind her as she ran. Ebony-skinned beauty was wearing a bright orange bikini. With a joy filled cheer, Iris jumped into the water.

"Hey, wait for me you guys!" Dawn called out, throwing off her sundress and sunhat as well. Sporting a bikini as blue as her hair, Dawn followed May into the water. Dawn wasted no time diving straight underneath the water. Resurfacing a few moments later, Dawn turned to the rest of the group. "Hurry up everyone! The water is awesome!"

"We're coming, we're coming!" Ash yelled back, as he dropped the numerous bags and beach supplies he had been carrying. Cilan and Burgundy agreed to make lunch for everyone, but Ash was forced to carry the food...and the towels...and just about everything else in fact. Stretching his tired limbs, Ash gazed up at the clear sky overhead. "Man, it's the perfect day for a trip to the beach." Ash reached into his own bag and pulled out several Pokeballs. Throwing them all into the air, all of Ash's water-type Pokemon, minus Kyogre, appeared in front of him. "Okay you guys, we're relaxing a bit before my gym battle later, so you all enjoy yourselves." All of Ash's water-types cheered in excitement before they raced into the water.

"They all sure look excited." Anabel said, walking up to Ash and watching his Pokemon play in the water. The lavender-haired girl was wearing a modest pale purple one piece swimsuit. "This must be like a vacation for them."

"Yeah, it kinda is." Ash said with a small smile. "Professor Juniper's lab has plenty of small ponds and even a decent sized lake for them all to swim in, but nothing beats swimming in the ocean."

"That woman sure is amazing. I have no idea how she takes care of so many Pokemon, while doing research at the same time." Anabel said, as she grabbed ahold of one of Ash's free arms. "It must be hard for her."

"It is a hard job, but she loves doing it." Ash said, giving Anabel a quick kiss on the cheek. "She has a few assistants that help her take care of a lot of the Pokemon, but she takes care of mine personally, especially my legendary Pokemon. Not even her assistants know about them. But to keep them hidden, she has to keep the larger legends in their Cherish Balls most of the time. She'll occasionally let Kyogre out into the ocean nearby and Rayquaza fly in the surrounding sky. Groudon is a little tougher, but she usually finds ways to let him out every now and then."

"She truly is-"

"Ashy!" Anabel was cut off by Cynthia's seductive voice. When Ash turned to face Cynthia, his eyes immidiately bugged out. The blonde goddess was lying facedown on her towel, her large breasts pressing against the ground. Cynthia's black bikini top was lying next to her, as she smiled slyly at Ash. "Can you put some sunblock on my back? I want to work on my tan."

"Y-Yeah, n-no problem." Ash dumbly stuttered out, as he made his way towards Cynthia; a massive blush spread across her face.

"Tch, throw some big breasts in his face and he suddenly turns into a bumbling idiot." Burgundy jabbed, beginning to spread out all of their food. "Well, he's always a bumbling idiot, but now it's even worse."

"At least I have breasts that can get my man excited." Cynthia taunted, as she smirked playfully at Burgundy.

"S-Shut up!" Burgundy yelled, her face bright red as she covered her modest b-cup breasts. "My body gets Cilan excited and that's all that matters!"

"I wonder..." Cynthia muttered one last taunt under her breath, before she laid her head on her arms.

"Hmph!" Burgundy huffed, turning away from Cynthia with an angry look on her face.

"Alright, that's enough you two." Cilan said, as he tried to defuse the tension in the air. The green-haired man knew that Cynthia was just teasing, and that she didn't mean any harm. But her comments seemed to have really irritated his girlfriend. "We're all friends her, so let's stop with the teasing and play nice. Okay?"

"Don't worry, I'm done messing with her." Cynthia said, before letting out a slight moan as Ash began to apply the lotion to her back. "Oh Ashy, your hands are so strong."

"You done too?" Cilan asked, as he turned to face Burgundy. The purple-haired girl merely nodded her head and released an annoyed huff. Cilan smiled softly and leaned closer so that he could whisper into Burgundy's ear. "Don't let what Cynthia said bother you. She was just playing with you. Besides..." Cilan placed a quick kiss on Burgundy's cheek. "You know I think you're beautiful, so there's no need to worry about your appearance."

"Thanks Cilan..." Burgundy muttered shyly, a bright red blush spreading across her face.

"O-Okay...I t-think I'm done..." Ash said, as he finished rubbing in the last of lotion on Cynthia's back. "I-I'm gonna go join everyone else."

"Hold on, Ashy." Cynthia said, reaching out and grabbing Ash's wrist. "You may have finished my back..." Ash's jaw feel open when he saw that Cynthia's bare breasts were on full display. "But you still have to do my front." Ash immidiately became extremely flustered and began to sputter uncontrollably. "Well Ashy...what are you waiting for?"

"Alright, that's enough." Flannery said, stepping in between Ash and Cynthia. The fiery redhead was dressed in a two-piece bikini that sported bright flame designs on it. "Cynthia, you're a big girl, so you can apply the rest of the lotion yourself. Besides, if you tease Ash anymore the poor boy might pass out."

"Bah, you're no fun." Cynthia said, as she laid back down onto her towel. "But I guess I can stop teasing him...for now."

"Thank you." Flannery said with a smile, pulling Ash to his feet. "Come on Ash, Roxie and Hilda set up a volleyball net and you're playing with us."

"S-Sure thing..." Ash said, as he let Flannery drag him along. But what Flannery didn't notice was that Ash's thoughts were focused on something very different. "Volleyball, eh?" Ash's eyes were locked on Flannery's bouncing breasts. "All that moving...means a lot of bouncing and jiggling...I think I'm going to like volleyball!"

"There you two are!" Hilda yelled in a slightly annoyed tone, placing her hands on her hips. The brunette beauty was sporting a black bikini, similar to Cynthia's. "What took you so long?"

"I had to drag lover boy away from Cynthia." Flannery replied with a grin, as she roughly patted Ash on the back. "You know how that woman is sometimes."

"Tch, damn right I do." Hilda pouted, cutely puffing out her cheek. "Always trying to hog Ash all for herself."

"Are you two done yet?" Roxie asked, as she crossed her arms over her chest and tapped her foot impatiently. The white-haired rocker was wearing a purple bikini. "Because I've been waiting to get this game started."

"Yeah, we're ready." Hilda said, picking the volleyball up off the ground. "Flannery and Ash will be on a team, and Roxie and I will be on the other. We'll switch around after each game."

"Sounds good to me." Flannery said, as she followed Ash to their side of the net. "I'm all fired up!"

"Let's rock!" Roxie cheered, running to her team's side of the net.

"Alright, we'll serve first!" Hilda exclaimed, as she tossed the volleyball into the air. The motion caused Hilda's c-cup breasts to bounce in her tight bikini, something that Ash could't help but ogle.

"Going to the beach was the best idea ever!" Ash thought with a lecherous smile on his face.

(Five Hours Later; Cinnabar Island's Gym)

After spending most of the at the beach, Ash's group finally began to make their way towards Cinnabar Island's gym. The raven-haired trainer led the group, as they stepped into the gym's lobby. Everyone, minus Flannery and Ash, was surprised to learn that the gym was located within Cinnabar's, still active, volcano. The gym had actually been destroyed several years earlier, forcing the gym leader, Blaine, to temporarily relocate the gym to the Seafoam Islands. But Blaine eventually returned to Cinnabar Island and renovated the gym; adding several new additions that would prevent the gym from being destroyed again.

"Man, that was an awesome day at the beach." Ash said with a wide grin, placing his hands behind his head. "It was great to kick back and unwind for a bit."

"Ha! You just wanted an excuse to ogle the girls." Burgundy huffed, as she crossed her arms over her chest.

"So?" Ash said, quirking an eyebrow. Burgundy was about respond, but Ash cut her off. "I love all of my girls and I think they're all beautiful. I can look at if I want, and as far as I know they didn't mind me ogling them. In fact I think they rather enjoyed it." Ash's response caught Burgundy off guard, and she struggled to come up with something to say. "Would you get upset if Cilan was ogling you?"

"Of course not!" Burgundy quickly replied, as she hugged one of Cilan's arms. "I don't care if he looks at me, because I love him!"

"Then why's it a problem if I look at my girls?" Ash asked, turning to look at Burgundy. "I love them all like you love Cilan, so I don't see why I can't appreciate my girls' beauty."

"I-I didn't mean it like that." Burgundy muttered quietly, as she hid her face in embarassment. "F-Forget I said anything Ash, I'm sorry."

"Don't sweat it Burgundy." Ash said with a toothy grin. "I know you didn't mean anything by it. Next time just-"

"Is that Ash Ketchum I see in my gym!?" A sudden booming voice caused Ash's group to stop in their tracks. They all turned to see an energetic looking elderly man brightly smiling at them. "I'm honored that the man who is taking the Pokemon world by storm is graving my gym with his presence!"

"Hey, it's great to see you again Blaine!" Ash exclaimed, waving at Cinnabar Island's energetic gym leader. "It's been a really long time man!"

"You're damn right it has!" Blaine said with a boisterous laugh, as he playfully punched Ash in the arm. "It's been almost ten years since our last real battle! After all this time I find out that you're suddenly the champion of four different leagues! I always knew there was something special about you! It's great to see that you're finally realizing your potential! You have that fiery passion and determination that allows you to overcome all your obstacles!" Blaine crossed his arms and grinned at Ash. "Word is that you've now set your eyes on conquering the Kanto region. So I guess that means you've come to my gym for a battle!?"

"You've got that right!" Ash replied, his voice full of excitement and fierce determination. "And this time I won't need a rematch to beat you!"

"Oho! There's that fiery spirit that I love!" Blaine yelled, his smile growing even wider. "But don't think that just because you're a champion that'll intimidate me! I plan to give you a run for your money!"

"That's what I like to hear!" Ash exclaimed in excitement. "I love when my opponents are as fired up as I am!"

"Then let's get right to it, my boy!" Blaine said, as he turned towards the gym's battlefield. "Everyone follow me to the battlefield! But a word of advice, you may want to bring out any water Pokemon you have, because it's about to get very hot in here! HAHAHA!"

(Ten Minutes Later; Gym's Battlefield)

"Holy shit! He wasn't kidding!" Iris shouted, aggressively fanning herself. Sweat dripped off the ebony-skinned girl's body, causing it to glisten slightly. "He failed to mention that the battlefield was above a pit of fucking lava!"

"This is insane!" May exclaimed, as she panted from the intense heat. Next to May sat Dawn and Roxie. The bluenette was holding onto Pikachu, and had taken off her beanie because of the incredible heat. Roxie looked rather calm on the outside, but she was actually fighting hard to pass out. Unlike the actual battlefield, the viewing stands were slightly off to the side, away from the searing lava. But that didn't help alleviate the boiling heat everyone was feeling. Like Blaine had suggested, every available water-type Pokemon they had on them was trying to keep everyone cool by showering them with cooling mists of water. But even that didn't seem to help very much. "I think I'm going to fucking melt!"

"I think I'm starting to feel rather faint." Anabel muttered, wiping a layer of sweat off her brow. The lavender-haired girl's clothes clung to her body, as she hogged Ash's Greninja all to herself. The ninja Pokemon doing it's best to keep his master's mate from passing out.

"Tch, you're all a bunch of lightweights." Flannery said, as she casually leaned back in her seat. The fiery redhead looked unaffected by the sweltering heat; only a slight sheen of sweat on her forehead showed that she was affected by the pool of lava that was about twenty feet away. "This heat is nothing. I could take this all day."

"Well it makes sense, because you're so damn hotheaded." Hilda said, fanning herself with her cap. The heat was beginning to get to Hilda, and she was starting get easily agitated.

"Oi!" Flannery bit back, as she glared at Hilda. "Take that-"

"Alright, that's enough you two!" Cynthia exclaimed, sitting down in between the bickering girls. For the first time since she joined up with the group, Cynthia looked extremely annoyed. The angry look in her grey eyes instantly made Flannery and Hilda back down. "I'm already sweating my ass off! Right now the last thing I need is you two arguing and giving me a fucking migraine! So for the love of Arceus just get along until Ash finishes his battle, which is about to start by the way!"

"Sorry Cynthia." Flannery and Hilda muttered simultaneously in an apologetic tone. Cynthia may have been a late addition to the group, but her being the oldest earned her a lot of respect from everyone else in the group. Almost immidiately she became like the group's older sister; giving the other girls advice and helping out wherever she was needed. Plus, no dared to piss Cynthia off, because when the blonde former champion was mad she was truly frightening.

Down on the battlefield Ash and Blaine stood across from each other. Both trainers had large smirk on their faces, as they stared each other down. Scorching lava bubbled around the battlefield, heating the air on the field to a sweltering level. However, neither Ash nor Blaine seemed particularly fazed by the intense heat.

"It's not too hot for you is it, Ash?" Blaine asked in a cocky voice, as he crossed his arms over his chest. "If you can't take the heat you're free to back down."

"Ha! This is nothing!" Ash fired back with his own cocky attitude, adjusting the cap on his head. "You're gonna have to really crank up the heat to scare me off!"

"For the love of Arceus Ash, don't tempt him! It's already hot enough in here!" Cynthia yelled from the stands. The blonde had long since abandoned her normal long black coat, her black shirt clinging to her chest. "Just hurry up and finish this battle so we can get the hell out of here!"

"You heard the lady." Ash said with a smirk, twisting his cap backwards. "Looks like the heat's starting to get to them, so I gotta beat you quick."

"Heh, we'll see about that." Blaine said, as he grabbed a Pokeball from his pocket. "Well, let's get this battle started."

"The three-on-three battle between the challenger, Ash Ketchum, and the gym leader, Blaine, will begin! Trainers! Please bring out your first Pokemon!"

"You gonna take the easy option and use water-type Pokemon?" Blaine asked, enlarging the Pokeball in his hand.

"No way! Where's the fun in that!?" Ash replied, as he grabbed a Pokeball off his belt.

"That's what I like to hear! Your burning spirit is infectious!" Blaine exclaimed, throwing his Pokeball into the air. "Rapidash, come on out!" The Fire Horse Pokemon landed on the field a burst of red hot flames.

"Alright, Torkoal I choose you!" The coal Pokemon crashed onto the battlefield, blowing out a large puff of thick black smoke.

"Rapidash vs. Torkoal, begin!"

"You may have the first move Ash." Blaine said, as he crossed his arms over his chest.

"You heard him Torkoal, start off with Iron Defense!" Torkoal blew out another puff of black smoke before it tucked its body into its shell, as it began to glow brightly.

"So you're raising your defense right off the bad, not a bad move. But we'll just stop you before you can do that anymore. Rapidash use Poison Jab!" The Fire Horse Pokemon stomped its hoof before it charged towards Torkoal, its horn glowing a faint purple.

"Torkoal use Rapid Spin!" Not emerging from its shell, Torkoal began to spin extremely fast. Torkoal's spinning body easily deflected Rapidash's attack, causing the Fire Horse Pokemon to stumble backwards. "Now use Smog!" Reemerging from its shell, Torkoal breathed out a thick stream of noxious purple gas. The poisonous gas surrounded Rapidash, and caused the Pokemon to cough and sputter.

"Burn away that gas with Flame Charge!" Rapidash's ignited its body in powerful flames, which ignited the smog surrounding it. Once the gas was gone, Rapidash charged towards Torkoal again; its increased speed allowing it to quickly close the distance.

"Torkoal use Iron Defense again!" For a second time Torkoal retreated into its shell, allowing it to take the brunt of Rapidash's attack. However, Rapidash was briefly stunned after ramming directly into Torkoal's hard shell. "While Rapidash is dazed use Shell Smash!" Torkoal let out a mighty roar as its shell began to faintly glow.

"I see what you did Ash, very clever." Blaine thought, as he rubbed his chin. "You increased your defense enough so that Torkoal's normally high defense wouldn't be affected by Shell Smash."

"Rapidash! Recover and use Drill Run!" Shaking its head to get rid of its dizziness, Rapidash snarled before it shot towards Torkoal once again; its horn glowing brightly.

"Torkoal use Smokescreen!" The Coal Pokemon inhaled deeply before he unleashed a massive amount of inky black smoke. The thick smoke completely immobilized Rapidash. All of the Fire Horse Pokemon's senses were assaulted by Torkoal's smoke.

"Rapidash use Fire Spin to blow away the smoke." A flaming tornado encircled Rapidash and caused all of the smoke to dissipate. "If you're gonna raise your attack Ash, then we'll make it so you can't hit use. Use Agility!" Rapidash began to glow faintly as it ran circles around Torkoal, its speed gradually increasing as it ran.

"Stop Rapidash in its tracks with Earthquake!" Torkoal reared up on its hind legs, slamming them onto the ground. The entire battlefield began to shake violently, allowing lava to slosh onto the field. Because of Earthquake's type advantage, and the attack increase because of Shell Smash, Rapidash was knocked out almost instantly.

"Rapidash is unable to battle! The winner is Torkoal! Blain, please bring out your next Pokemon!"

"Hmm, not bad Ash." Blaine said with a grin, returning Rapidash to its Pokeball. "I'm really starting to get fired up now! Arcanine let's really light this battle up!" The Legendary Pokemon let out a fierce howl as it landed on the field.

"Arcanine vs. Torkoal, begin!"

"Let's finish this one quickly Arcanine! Start off with Dig!" Arcanine growled in acknowledgement, before it dove into the ground.

"Torkoal use-"

"That's not gonna work this time Ash!" Blaine yelled, just as Arcanine burst out of the ground underneath Torkoal. Arcanine launched Torkoal high into the air above the battlefield. "Now use Double Kick!" Arcanine leaped into the air above Torkoal and used its powerful legs to kick the Coal Pokemon back into the ground. Torkoal slammed back onto the field hard, kicking up a large amount of dirt and debris. Arcanine landed gracefully just as the dust began to disappear. When the debris fully faded Torkoal was still standing, just barely.

"Torkoal can you keep going?" Ash asked the exhausted and battered Pokemon. Torkoal immidiately nodded its head, showing its determination to go down fighting. "That's what I like to see! Put all of your strength into this last move! Use Skull Bash!" Torkoal let out one last defiant shout before it retreated into its shell one last time to prepare for its attack.

"Skull Bash may be a powerful move, but it takes time to prepare. I'll just finish Torkoal off before it can attack. Arcanine use Wild Charge!" The Legendary Pokemon's body became cloaked in electricity as it charged towards Torkoal.

"Just tough it out Torkoal, I know you can do it!" Torkoal took the full brunt of Wild Charge and was sent skidding backwards in its shell. But Arcanine was relentless in its attack, continuously kicking, clawing, and biting Torkoal's shell; slowly but surely chipping away at Torkoal's endurance.

"Arcanine end this with Extreme Speed!" Arcanine momentarily relented in its attack to get enough of room to gain speed. Once it was far enough away, Arcanine rocketed towards Torkoal, almost appearing to blur across the battlefield. But when Arcanine was mere inches away, Torkoal chose that moment to strike. Torkoal's head suddenly shot out of its shell and collided with Arcanine. Both Extreme Speed and Skull Bash clashed in a battle for dominance. Skull Bash may have been the more powerful move, but Torkoal was so battered and exhausted that the attack wasn't nearly as powerful as it could be. Torkoal put up a valiant effort, but Arcanine eventually overpowered it. Torkoal was sent tumbling back towards Ash. When Torkoal stopped rolling it was clear that the Coal Pokemon was down for the count. Despite being defeated, Torkoal managed to at least do a little damage to Arcanine. The Legendary Pokemon taking some from crashing straight into Skull Bash.

"Torkoal is unable to battle, the winner is Arcanine! Ash, please bring out your next Pokemon!"

"You did an amazing job Torkoal." Ash said, as he smiled at Torkoal's Pokeball. Clipping the ball back onto his belt, Ash grabbed his next, and hopefully last, Pokeball. "Alright Blaine, it's time for a blast from the past! Charizard I choose you!" The Flame Pokemon let out a ear shattering roar as it crashed onto the battlefield, ready to crush its opponent.

"Oho! This sure brings back memories! I've been waiting to battle this beast again!" Blaine exclaimed, his eyes lighting up in excitement.

"Well get ready Blaine, because Charizard has some tricks to show you!" Ash said, as he rolled down his sleeve, revealing his megaring. "I hope you're ready to face a whole new beast!" Ash pressed the stone on his megaring and Charizard was immidiately bathed in blinding pink light. Blaine had to cover his eyes from the intense pink glow. When the light finally died down, Blaine was shocked at what he saw. Most of Charizard's skin was now jet black, with its under belly and the inside of its wings being a dark blue. Now the flame on Charizard's tail was a brilliant blue, similar flames also freely flowing from the Pokemon's mouth. "Blaine, meet Mega Charizard X!"

"I-It's magnificent!" Blaine thought, staring at the mega evolved Pokemon in awe.

"Charizard, use Flamethrower!" The Flame Pokemon smirked wickedly before breathing out an intense stream of scorching blue flames. The deep blue flames engulfed Arcanine, causing the Pokemon to howl in pain as the fire burned its fur and skin. When the flames subsided Arcanine was panting heavily, its body covered in dozens of severe burns. "Finish this off Fire Fang!"

Charizard took to the air and flew towards Arcanine. The Legendary Pokemon was still recovering from the last attack when Charizard struck. Charizard sank its fangs into Arcanine's neck, causing the Pokemon to whimper in pain. Then Charizard released a powerful burst of blue flames from its mouth, causing a small explosion that bathed both Pokemon in the sweltering flames. After the flames died down, Charizard stood triumphantly over an unconscious Arcanine.

"Incredible...it defeated Arcanine in just two attacks! And those flames! They were so raw and intense, I've never seen or felt anything like them!" Blaine thought, as he returned Arcanine.

"Arcanine is unable to battle, the winner is Charizard! Blaine, please send out your last Pokemon!"

"It's time for a really nostalgic battle, Ash." Blaine said with a small smile, grabbing the last Pokeball out of his pocket. "Magmar, come on out!" The Spitfire Pokemon landed the field with a dull thud and immidiately locked eyes with Charizard. Sparks seemed to flay as both Pokemon stared each other down. "Magmar has been dying for a rematch against Charizard! It's time these two fight again!"

"Magmar vs. Charizard, begin!"

"Magmar use Toxic!" The Spitfire Pokemon lived up to its name, and spit a wad of toxic sludge at Charizard fast as a bullet. The projectile was so fast and sudden that Charizard had no chance to dodge it. Toxic hit Charizard square in the face and caused it to be severely poisoned. "Your Charizard definitely has the advantage when it comes to speed and strength, so I'll just have to hold out until Toxic takes it out."

"Normally, I'd say that's a good strategy, but not against my Charizard." Ash said with a confident grin. "We'll simply take you down first! Ain't that right buddy!?" Charizard smirked and gave Ash a thumbs up. "Alright! Then let's finish this one quick! Use Dragon Tail!" Charizard nodded and flew towards Magmar with its tail glowing bright blue.

"Magmar use Smokescreen to blind Charizard!" The Spitfire Pokemon quickly blanketed the entire field in a thick sheet of smoke.

"Charizard, blow away the smoke with your wings!" With a single flap of its mighty wings, Charizard cleared the smoke that had filled the field. Magmar was caught off guard by its cover being blow so quickly, which gave Charizard the perfect opportunity to strike. The Flame Pokemon slammed its glowing tail into Magmar's stomach, knocking the wind out of the Pokemon. Magmar was sent flying back by the force of Charizard's attack, roughly crashing back down onto the field.

"Can you still fight, Magmar?" Blaine asked, as he watched his Pokemon stagger back onto its feet. Magmar turned to its trainer and nodded its head. "Good! Then use Thunder Punch!" Magmar coated both its fists in electricity and charged towards Charizard. But both Blaine and Magmar were stunned when Charizard grabbed both of Magmar's wrists. The Flame Pokemon seemed completely unfazed by the electricity that was flowing into its body. Charizard grinned evilly before it headbutted Magmar. The Spitfire Pokemon clutched its head in pain as it stumbled backwards.

"Great work Charizard, now use Power-Up Punch!" Charizard slammed its glowing fist into Magmar's face, sending the Pokemon crashing into the ground. But despite all of the damage it had received, Magmar still struggled to stand. "Alright, now it's time for something really nostalgic! Charizard finish this battle with Seismic Toss!" Charizard grabbed a thrashing Magmar and soared high into the air. Once Charizard was just out of the volcano it began a rapid nose dive back down. The Flame Pokemon gained speed at an incredible rate and even added a rapid spin to its dive. Then just mere feet above the ground, Charizard released Magmar and pulled out of its dive. Magmar crashed into the ground with a sickening crunch, kicking up a massive amount of dust. Charizard landed back in front of Ash and immediately collapsed down onto one knee, Toxic finally starting to take its toll. When the dust cleared Magmar was at the bottom of a large crater, knocked out cold. Seeing that it was triumphant one again, Charizard let out a loud victory roar.

"Magmar is unable to battle, the winner is Charizard. Since all of Blaine's Pokemon can no longer continue, the winner is Ash Ketchum!"

"You gave it your best shot." Blaine said, smiling down at Magmar's Pokeball. Putting the Pokeball back into his pocket, Blaine approached Ash and Charizard. "I must say Ash your Charizard is one magnificent specimen."

"Thanks Blaine." Ash said, as he pet Charizard on the head. Reaching into his pocket, Ash pulled out a Pecha berry and fed it to Charizard. "I've been training Charizard really hard."

"I can tell!" Blaine said with a boisterous laugh. "I might have to get a Charizard of my own after today's battle. That mega evolution was truly spectacular."

"You know I could give Professor Sycamore a call, and have him send you a mega stone to allow Charizard to evolve." Ash suggested, causing Blaine's eyes to light up.

"You will?!" Blaine exclaimed, as he grabbed onto Ash's shoulders.

"Yeah, sure thing." Ash replied with a chuckle, before he returned Charizard. "I'll call him before we leave town."

"Thank you my boy!" Blaine cheered, as he enthusiastically shook Ash's hand. "I'm so clad you stopped my gym today! That was the most fun I had in a long time!"

"I had a great time to Blaine." Ash said with a small smile. "Well I guess I better get going. My group looks like they're about to melt over there."

"Thank Arceus!" Most of Ash's group groaned in unison.

"Well I'll be cheering for you in the Kanto League Ash!" Blaine called out, waving to Ash's group as they began to exit his gym. "And make sure to stop by again sometime!"

"Sure thing!" Ash exclaimed, as he gave Blaine a quick thumbs up.

(Outside Cinnabar's Gym)

"So where are we heading next Ash?" Cilan asked, wiping a thick line of sweat off his brow.

"I don't care where we go next, but we aren't leaving until I've had a nice long shower!" Burgundy exclaimed, as she aggressively fanned herself.

"Yeah, we could all use a good rest and shower before we head out." Ash said, stretching his tired muscles. "But when we're ready to go I figured we'd head to Viridian City next."

"Why there?" Dawn asked, as she quirked a blue eyebrow.

"Oh I just have a feeling that we'll run into someone special there." Ash said with a devious smirk.

And done! Ash has officially defeated Blaine and the group is now heading towards Viridian City. Who is the special person that Ash mentioned? You'll have to just wait until next chapter to find out.
