Hey guys, I'm finally back with the next chapter for this story. I'm so sorry for the very long wait for this chapter, but I've been absolutely hammered by work and school lately, and have had next to zero time or energy to do any serious writing. *Cough* *Cough* Also I've been playing a ton of Pokemon Sun *Cough* *Cough* But now school is over until January, so I have some time to write at last. This chapter will have Ash challenging the Celadon gym and going on a shopping trip with his group. Also, in this chapter Ash will run into a new character (Not an OC), who will likely end up in his harem once he's done traveling. So thank you all very much for your continued patience and support. Well that's everything I wanted to say, so let's get to the fic.

P.S. Have any of you watched any of the new Pokemon Sun and Moon anime? I've watched a few episodes, and I have to say that they absolutely butchered Ash's design. He looks so fucking stupid and I just can't get to used to what he looks like now. I mean pretty much every other character looks alright, although they all have very odd facial animations at times; the animation in general is a little wonky imo. I will say that I'm psyched that Ash caught a Rowlet, and I hope it ends up evolving into Decidueye, which imo is the coolest Sun and Moon starter. I'm also happy that Lillie is in the anime, because I loved her in the game. So yeah, I wasn't too keen on the X and Y anime, and so far this new series isn't really helping reinvest me in the Pokemon anime.

(One Week Later: Celadon Department Store)

"Woah! It's so big!" Dawn gushed, staring in awe at the massive store before her. "I wanna try to find some cute new outfits!"

"I haven't been to a store this big in a long time!" May exclaimed, as she ran up next to Dawn. "I hope they have a bunch awesome deals!"

"Oh, I hope they a good selection of swimsuits!" Flannery said, her eyes lighting up. "I've been wanting to get a new bikini!"

"I just hope they have a decent bookstore." Cynthia said, as she flipped some hair out of her grey eyes. "I might be able to find some new research material if I'm lucky."

"Books? Clothes? Bikinis? You girls have no taste." Roxie said with a smirk, reaching back and tapping her guitar case. "I'm gonna see if this place has a rockin' music store. Maybe even pick up a new guitar if they have anything good."

"My poor wallet!" Ash thought in dread, practically feeling his money start to disappear. "Thank Arceus I have a bunch of money saved up. I also have all the prize money I won from winning the leagues, but I don't want to touch that yet. Hopefully we won't make too big of a dent in my savings today." If there was one thing Ash absolutely hated, it was shopping, especially with girls. Whenever Ash needed to buy something, he would be in and out of the store in a couple minutes. But whenever he went shopping with a girl, they would be in there for hours, running around from store to store. "Why the hell did I even suggest we do this!?"

"Don't worry Ash." Anabel said, as she noticed the look of dread on her boyfriend's face. "I don't really plan on buying anything." Anabel couldn't help but giggle when she saw a wave of relief wash over Ash. "I was just gonna walk around and see what this place has to offer. If I see anything I really want, we can always come back another time."

"Yeah, shopping has never really been my thing." Hilda said, rubbing the back of her head. "I don't why most girls get so worked up over buying clothes and shit. Whenever I go shopping, it's to the PokeMart to load up on supplies."

"At least I won't go completely bankrupt." Ash thought, as he released a sigh of relief.

"Tch, only little girls get excited over something like shopping." Iris huffed, crossing her arms over her chest. "You won't see me getting excited over-"

"Hey Iris!" May called out, as she pointed to a large sign in front of the building. "They just opened a store that specializes in supplies for dragon-type Pokemon!"

"Really!?" Iris exclaimed, running over to where the other girls were. "I want to check it out!"

"Come on Ash!" Dawn cheered, as hooked her arm with Ash's. "Let's get going!"

"You did promise us a shopping trip." Cynthia said with a teasing smile, grabbing ahold of Ash's other arm. "So you can't back out now."

"Arceus help me please!" Ash yelled, as Dawn and Cynthia dragged him into the store.

"Ash has it pretty rough, doesn't he?" Cilan asked, chuckling lightly as he watched Ash disappear into the department store.

"Don't forget you promised to take me shopping too, Cilan." Burgundy said, as she poked Cilan in the chest. "Now come on, we have a lot of stores to check out."

"Yes dear." Cilan muttered in a defeated tone, trudging closely behind Burgundy.

(Three Hours, and a Lot of Money, Later)

"I'm in hell." Ash muttered in an emotionless tone, as he slowly followed behind May and Dawn, also being forced to carry all of their bags. The two coordinators had dragged him into at least seven different clothing shops and modeled different outfits for their contests. Ash couldn't deny that he had enjoyed the view, both girls were extremely beautiful and looked amazing in pretty much everything they picked out. But there was only so much he could take. Before Ash had hooked up with May and Dawn, his other girls had dragged him into various other shops. Cynthia did manage to find a small book shop near the back of the store, and after looking around for a couple minutes came back to Ash with a large stack of books; she claimed they were all for her research. After purchasing Cynthia's very expensive books, Roxie had snagged Ash and pulled him towards a music shop she had spotted close to the bookstore. The store was dimly lit and the metal music that was playing over the speakers was deafening. Forcing Ash towards the back of the store, Roxie pointed out a guitar that she was interested in. Ash took one look at the guitar's price and his jaw fell open. At first Ash absolutely refused to buy the ludicrously priced instrument, but after some pouting from Roxie he gave in and reluctantly bought it. Ash hadn't taken two steps out of the music store before Iris grabbed his arm and lead him towards the newly-opened store that specialized in products for dragon-type Pokemon. Iris was like a little kid in a candy store, as she darted up and down the aisles, grabbing anything that caught her eye. When the two had left the shop, Iris had picked out various foods made specifically for dragon-types, several items that were supposed to make dragon-types more friendly, and several new toys for her Pokemon to play with. May and Dawn had swooped in shortly after and picked Ash up after he was finished with Iris. Ash could only thank Arceus that Flannery didn't need his help with any of her shopping, although he would have loved to see her model a few bikinis.

"A-Ash..." Dawn mutter in a slightly embarrassed tone, getting the exhausted man's attention. "Y-You don't have to come with us into this s-store."

"Yeah, you can take a break now." May said with a smile, as she pushed a very flustered Dawn into the shop.

Ash grunted as he set down everything he was carrying. Wiping the sweat off his brow, Ash looked at the store May and Dawn had went into, wondering why they didn't want his help this time. Ash groaned in annoyance when he realized that Dawn and May had went into a lingerie shop. Releasing a heavy sigh, Ash slumped onto a bench near the store.

"Damn it, the one time I actually wouldn't have minded helping them shop." Ash said to himself, leaning his head back and trying to relax. After a walking around for a few hours and spending a ludicrous amount of money, Ash was finally able to sit down and catch his breath. Ash waited on the bench for almost thirty minutes, and eventually decided to walk around on his own for a bit. However, before he left Ash set Pikachu down on the bench and released Leavanny from her Pokeball. "Alright you two, be good and watch these bags for a little while. I won't be gone for very long." Both Pokemon smiled and nodded in understanding. Leaving the two Pokemon to watch over everything they had bought, Ash began to walk around the department store. Ash had been walking around for several minutes, and was about to head back, but he had spotted a store for traveling Pokemon trainers out of the corer of his eye. Riffling through his backpack, Ash noticed that he was starting to get low on Pokeballs and potions. "Well I guess I should stock up on supplies while we're here."

Walking into the shop, Ash began to browse through the aisles. He was quite surprised by the large variety of items that the store sold, from several different types of Pokeballs to dozens of items to heal any injury a Pokemon may have. When Ash neared the back of the store, he finally found something that caught his eye.

"Huh, they're having a sale on Full Restores..." Ash muttered to himself, as he stared at the display in front of him. "They are 50% off...and my Pokemon do get pretty banged up when they're training..." Pulling out his wallet, Ash noted that he still had a decent amount of money on him. "Ah what the hell, they're not this cheap every day, so I guess I can pick up a few." When Ash reached out to grab a Full Restore, he was surprised when someone tried to grab the same one. Quickly pulling his hand back, Ash rubbed the back of his head in embarassment. "Sorry about that, I didn't notice that anyone else was here. You go ahead and take that one, there's still plenty of them left."

"No you were here first." A sweet feminine voice said, causing Ash to turn to the stranger next to him. He was momentarily taken aback by how beautiful the girl was. She had long brunette hair, with two large buns tied on the top of her head. Her eyes were bright blue, almost the same color as the sky. She was wearing a blue and white blouse, which had a pink Pokeball symbol the chest. The girl also wore black stockings underneath an extremely short yellow skirt. "I must insist that you take it." However, Ash was so stunned by how pretty girl was, that he didn't respond for several moments. Starting to get worried, the girl waved her hand in front of Ash's face. "Excuse me sir? Are you okay?"

"Huh? What?" Ash asked, as he snapped out of his thoughts. "I'm sorry, I know this is rather sudden, but what's your name?"

"My name?" The girl parroted in a confused tone, pointing to herself. "My name is Rosa."

"Rosa, huh? A pretty name for a pretty girl." Ash said, as he flashed a toothy grin and offered his hand to Rosa. "Oh, I'm Ash Ketchum by the way!"

A bright blush spread across Rosa's face, as she let Ash's words sink in. Rosa was so caught off guard by Ash calling her pretty, that this time she was the one to not say anything for several moments. But after a few moments of silence, Rosa remembered the second thing Ash had said, and her eyes shot open in shock.

"Wait!" Rosa exclaimed excitedly, grabbing ahold of Ash's shoulders. "You're Ash Ketchum!? The guy who has become the champion of four different leagues!?"

"Yeah, that's me." Ash said, as he rubbed the back of his head. "I guess you're a trainer than too?"

"Are you kidding me?!" Rosa yelled with a large smile, practically shaking with excitement. "You're one of the reasons I became a trainer!"

"Really?" Ash asked, as he quirked an eyebrow. "I never thought anyone would ever be inspired by me."

"Totally! You're such an amazing trainer!" Rosa cheered, causing Ash to blush in embarassment. "I first saw you years ago when you first took on the Sinnoh League! My family took a trip to Sinnoh, and we stopped to watch some of the tournament!"

"But I lost that league." Ash pointed out, as he nervously rubbed his arm.

"So!?" Rosa exclaimed, causing Ash's eyes to widen slightly. "You were amazing in all of your battles, especially against that Paul guy! Then when you fought Tobias, you managed to defeat his Darkrai, which no one else had done before! If Tobias didn't have a Latios I'm sure you could have beat him!"

"You...You really think I could have won?" Ash asked, which caused Rosa to enthusiastically nod her head.

"Of course! Like I said you're an amazing trainer! So I believe you definitely could have beaten Tobias!" Rosa yelled, her smile widening. Suddenly Rosa seemed to calm down and she placed a hand over her heart. "When I first saw you battle, I was still two years away from getting my first Pokemon. I still didn't know if I wanted to be a trainer, or pursue a different path. But after watching your battles, I knew that I wanted to become a trainer...someone as strong as you. So when I got back to Unova I started keeping tabs on you. When I heard you had made it to the Unova League, I made sure I was there to cheer for you." Rosa's voice suddenly became low and saddened. "But a few years later you took on the Jhoto league again...and after that you kinda just disappeared for a few years."

"Rosa...I-I'm-"

"Ah, who cares!?" Rosa exclaimed, waving dismissively and perking right back up. "You're here now and I'm so psyched that I got to meet you!" Rosa was shocked when Ash suddenly rushed forward and pulled her in for a tight hug. "A-Ash!? What's wrong?!"

"Thank you Rosa, you have no idea how happy I am right now. I...I just wish I had met you sooner." Ash said barely above a whisper, as he fought back tears. "If I had known someone believed in me like you do then maybe...maybe..."

"Ash?" Rosa asked when the raven-haired trainer gently pushed her away.

"Heh heh, sorry about that." Ash said, as he rubbed the back of his head in embarassment. "I didn't mean to get all emotional like that."

"It's fine Ash." Rosa said, flashing a small smile. Suddenly Rosa blushed hotly and she began to slightly fidget. "If...If you ever need someone to talk to...you...ya know...can talk to me."

"I might just take you up on that sometime, Rosa." Ash said with a warm smile, he grabbed a few Full Restores and turned to pay for them. "Well it was great meeting you Rosa, but I have to get going now."

"Please, it was my pleasure meeting you!" Rosa exclaimed, grabbing some Full Restores as well. "Oh my Arceus, I still can't believe I met you in person!"

"Hey Rosa, are you competing in the Kanto league?" Ash asked, as he reached the register and set his items down on the counter.

"Yeah, I already have my sixth gym badge. I actually just finished challenging the Celadon gym, that's why I'm restocking my supplies." Rosa replied, setting her various items down on the counter next to Ash's. "Why do you ask?"

"Well I'm challenging the Kanto League again right now, I'm on my way to the Celadon gym after this." Ash said, as he paid for his Full Restores. Grabbing his items, Ash made his way to the door. "Maybe we'll see each other again at the tournament. If I'm lucky, I'll get to battle you. Well I'll catch ya later, Rosa!" With a wink and wave, Ash exited the store

"No..." Rosa said with a smile, clutching a hand over hear thundering heart, as a slight blush spread across her face. "I'll be the lucky one if I get to battle you."

(One Hour Later: Just Outside Celadon City Gym)

"Well you sure seem to be in a good mood." Cynthia commented, sliding up next to Ash, who appeared to be rather giddy. "What happened while we were shopping, Ashy?"

"Nothing much." Ash replied, as he shrugged his shoulders, failing to get rid of the smile on his face. "I just met a really nice girl when I was walking around by myself. Turns out she's been a fan of mine for a while."

"Oho, have you managed to hook another girl with your devilish charms?" Hilda teased, playfully punching Ash in the shoulder. "So what's this girl's name?"

"It's not like that Hilda." Ash huffed, as a light blush dusted across his cheeks. "And her name was Rosa."

"WHAT?!" Hilda exclaimed suddenly, shocking the entire group. The energetic brunette ran up to Ash and grabbed the front of his shirt. "You're joking right!? You said this girl's name was Rosa, right?!"

"Y-Yeah." Ash replied in a slightly scared tone, as he stared at Hilda. This was the first time Ash had ever seen Hilda get so worked up. "What's wrong Hilda? Why are you freaking out right now?"

"I've known Rosa for years! She's one of my best friends!" Hilda yelled, releasing Ash and taking a step back. "She used to live in Nuvema Town with me, until her family moved to Aspertia City. She's two years younger than me, so I've always kind of been a big sister to her. We used to play together all the time, and after she left we've been keeping in touch through letters and video calls." Just then realization flashed through Hilda's eyes. "Wait a second! You must be mystery guy Rosa was always talking about!"

"Mystery guy?" Ash repeated, as he quirked an eyebrow. "What are you talking about Hilda?"

"From time-to-time, Rosa would gush about some amazing trainer she had been keeping an eye on!" Hilda replied, tightly gripping Ash's shoulders. "She never told me the trainer's name, and she would get all flustered whenever she talked about him, but I'm positive now that you're that trainer! Do you know what this means Ash!?"

"No, not really." Ash said, now even more confused then before.

"Arceus, even after all this time around so many girls, you're still so dense." May huffed, pinching the bridge of her nose. "What are we going to do with you?"

"Hey!" Ash exclaimed indignantly, as he crossed his arms over his chest. "I'm not as bad as I used to be!"

"Barely." Iris muttered, slowly shaking her head.

"GAH!" Ash yelled, as he started to get upset. "Will you just tell me what's going on already!?"

"Rosa has a massive crush on you, you idiot!" Hilda shouted, causing Ash's eyes to widen in shock.

"Are you sure?" Ash asked, just as the group reached the Celadon gym.

"Yes!" Hilda replied, throwing her arms up in irritation. "Anybody else would have noticed it. Whenever Rosa would talk about you, she would get all giddy and start blushing. It's so obvious that she likes you."

"Now that mention it..." Ash muttered, as he rubbed his chin. "Rosa was blushing a lot when I was talking with her."

"Of course she was..." Hilda said with a small smile, slowly shaking her head. "Rosa must still be crushing on you pretty hard. Seeing you after that little disappearing act you did must have stirred up all her old feelings." Hilda suddenly locked eyes with Ash, and crossed her arms over her chest. "So, what are you going to do Ash?"

"What are you talking about?" Ash asked, as he quirked an eyebrow in confusion. "I'm supposed to do something?"

"Arceus, how did this idiot manage to make all these girls fall in love with him?" Burgundy muttered in an annoyed tone, rubbing her temples.

"Well Ashy can be very romantic, it just takes a lot of time and guidance from us." Cynthia replied, as she smirked at Ash. "Without us he would be clueless."

"Yeah, we pretty much have to hold his hand when it comes to romance." May added, placing her hands on her hips. "But Ash is very good at thinking on his feet, and just like Cynthia said, with the proper guidance, Ash can be quite the charmer."

"I'm not even gonna bother defending myself anymore." Ash said, as he hung his head in defeat. "So, what were you talking about Hilda?"

"*Sigh* What are you going to do about Rosa's feelings?" Hilda asked, trying to be as clear as possible. "You know now that she more than likely has feelings for you. I just want to know what you plan to do now. Rosa is still my friend, and I don't want you breaking her heart."

"Well she did say that she was competing in the Kanto League, so we'll probably see her there." Ash replied, as he rubbed the back of his neck. "I guess if I get some time alone with her I'll bring it up, and see what she has to say. But I won't push her to give me an answer, I don't want her to feel pressured to make a choice right away. If she wants to pursue her feelings for me, then I'll be happy to let her join our family. But if she doesn't, then I won't force her to do anything she doesn't want to." Ash was prepared to hear Hilda's response, but all he received was silence. Quickly looking around at his group, Ash was surprised to see that all his girls were staring at him with wide eyes. "What's wrong? Did I say something weird?"

"That's the first time you've called us all a family." Dawn said with a bright smile, fighting back tears as she clutched both hands over her heart.

"I'm so happy right now." Anabel said, as a bright blush spread across her face.

"Oh Ashy, you really do care about all of us." Cynthia gushed, rushing towards Ash with her arms open. "Group hug!"

Seeing the small mob of girls running towards him, Ash immidiately began to panic. The raven-haired trainer felt a wave of relief when he spotted the Celadon gym just ahead. "Oh look it's the gym! Better hurry up and get in there!" With incredible speed, Ash darted away just in the knick of timing burst through the gym's doors. All of Ash's girls missed their chance to hug their lover, and ended up falling on top of each other.

"Oh poo, he's no fun." Cynthia pouted, as she cutely puffed out her cheeks.

(Two Minutes Later: Inside the Celadon City Gym)

"Come on girls don't be like that." Ash said, seeing all the irritated looks on his girls' faces. All Ash's words seemed to do was make them more upset, as they all turned their heads away from him. "Alright I'm sorry."

"Apologize all you want, but we're all still mad at you." Flannery said, as she slightly glared at Ash out of the corner of her eye.

"Yeah, all we wanted to do was show how much we love you." Roxie added, letting out an annoyed huff.

"And I'm sorry that I ran away like that..." Ash muttered in embarassment, as he rubbed the back of his head. "I just didn't feel like getting tramp-" Ash stopped mid-sentence when several of his girls shot him death glares. "Fine, you guys are right. You every right to be mad at me right now. I'll try to make it up to you guys when I get the chance."

"Really?" Hilda asked in a suspicious tone, crossing her arms over her chest.

"Really." Ash replied, as he flashed his girls a bright smile, which caused all their hearts to melt a little. "I'll think of something special, but I don't know when I'll be able to do it yet...And it won't be another shopping trip!"

"Aw man! We had so much fun today!" May whined, hanging her head in sadness.

"What's all the racket in here?" A new feminine voice asked, which caused everyone to turn around. Standing behind them was a young woman with short, dark hair. She was dressed in an elaborate yellow kimono, with orange floral patterns along the bottom. The young woman stifled a yawn, as she walked over to Ash's group. "I was in the middle of my nap when I heard all this-" The dark-haired woman immidiately perked up when she spotted Ash. "Oh my! Is that Ash Ketchum in my gym!?"

"Hey Erika!" Ash exclaimed, as he energetically waved at the dark-haired woman. "It's been a long time!"

"It sure has." Erika said with a smile, stopping front of Ash's group. "So what brings you back here?"

"Well I'm taking on all the leagues I lost in again." Ash replied, as he glanced around the ornately decorated gym. "I'm currently challenging Kanto's gyms, and your gym was the next stop on our journey."

"Oh my how exciting." Erika said, clapping her hands together. "Well I'll be happy to battle you Ash, especially since we never got to finish our first one. But I don't know how much of a challenge I'll put up. It's been years since I last saw you, and you must have improved greatly since then."

"Don't say that Erika, I'm sure you'll give me a great battle." Ash said, as he followed closely behind Erika, while she lead the group towards the gym's battlefield. "By the way how has your Gloom been?"

"Oh she's been great thanks to you." Erika replied, turning to smile at Ash. "You'll see here in a little while. I'm sure she'll be quite happy to see you once again." After walking through a set of sliding doors, Erika suddenly extended her arms outward. "Here we are!"

"Wow." Everyone in Ash's group breathed, as they gazed at the massive greenhouse they had walked into. The greenhouse was packed with beautiful and exotic plants, and several different types of grass-type Pokemon darted amounts the foliage.

"So Ash..." Erika said with a grin, pulling out a Pokeball. "Are you ready battle?"

(Five Minutes Later: Celadon Gym's Battlefield)

"The three-on-three battle between the challenger Ash Ketchum and the gym leader Erika will commence! Trainers, please bring out your first Pokemon!"

"I must admit that I'm quite excited right now. It's been a long time since I've battled against a worthy opponent." Erika said with a smirk, as she enlarged the Pokeball she was holding. "Alright, time to dazzle them with your beauty Lilligant!" In a brilliant flash of light and shower of flower petals, the Flowering Pokemon gently landed on the battlefield.

"That really is a beautiful Pokemon." May said, staring at Lilligant in awe.

"I should try to catch one for my contests." Dawn said, which caused May to nod her head in agreement.

"A Unova Pokemon, eh? You must have done some traveling over the years." Ash said, grabbing a Pokeball of his belt. "Well I'll use a Pokemon from Unova as well. So let's make this a battle between grass-types. Leavanny I choose you!" The Nurturing Pokemon gracefully landed in front of her trainer and bowed to her opponent.

"Wow! What a pretty Pokemon!" Erika exclaimed, as her eyes lit up. "I never saw one of these during my trip to Unova!"

"Well Leavanny is the final evolution of Sewaddle, so they're kinda rare in the wild." Ash explained, rubbing the top of Leavanny's head; causing the Nurturing Pokemon to lean into Ash's touch. "So, it's not too surprising that you didn't see one."

"Oh, then I think I'll have to try to capture my own when I visit Unova again." Erika said, as she rested her hand on her cheek. "Because I'm just enthralled with your Leavanny right now. It's so elegant and polite." Erika's kind words caused a slight blush to spread across Leavanny's face.

"Stop it Erika, you're embarrassing Leavanny." Ash teased, chuckling lightly when he saw how embarrassed Leavanny was. "Why don't we get the battle started now?"

"Sounds good to me." Erika said with a determined look in her eyes, as she rested her hands on her hips. "I'll allow you to have the first move Ash."

"Lilligant vs. Leavanny, battle begin!"

"Alright, Leavanny start things off with X-Scissor!" The Nurturing Pokemon nodded her head, crossing her leaflike arms to form an X before she charged towards Lilligant.

"Lilligant counter with Petal Dance!" The Flowering Pokemon began to glow bright green, as she rapidly spun in circles, creating a storm of vibrant pink petals. The wall of flowers gathered around Lilligant, before they shot towards Leavanny.

"Slice through them Leavanny!" Dashing forward without hesitation, Leavanny used her razor-sharp arms to cut clean through Lilligant's Petal Dance. Leavanny then darted forward and slashed Lilligant with a super-effective X-Scissor. Lilligant hissed in pain, as Leavanny's attack sent her skidding backwards. "Keep up the pressure Leavanny! Get in close and use Poison Jab!" Giving Lilligant no time to recover, Leavanny shot forward with it's arms glowing a hazy purple.

"Lilligant you have to use Protect quickly!" But the Flowering Pokemon was still dazed from Leavanny's previous attack, and was unable to put up the protective barrier quick enough. Leavanny's powerful attack landed a direct hit, sending Lilligant crashing to the ground. The official quickly walked over and saw that Lilligant was already knocked out.

"Lilligant is unable to battle! The winner is Ash! Erika, please bring out your next Pokemon!"

"I'm a little disappointed that, that battle ended so quickly..." Erika said, as she returned Lilligant to her Pokeball. "But you did your best Lilligant, and I thank you for that."

"Well Lilligant doesn't really have any moves to deal strong damage against a grass and bug-type like Leavanny." Ash explained with a grin, crossing his arms over his chest. "I chose Leavanny because she's very strong against grass-types."

"I see, you do make a good point." Erika said, as she grabbed her second Pokeball. "After this battle I will have to rework my strategy." Cocking her arm back, Erika threw her Pokeball into the air. "Victreebel, come on out!" The Flycatcher Pokemon landed in front of Erika with a dull thud.

"Victreebel vs. Leavanny, battle begin!"

"Okay Victreebel, use Sludge Bomb!" Leaning forward, Victreebel fired a barrage of toxic ooze out of its gaping mouth.

"Dodge it Leavanny!" The Nurturing Pokemon immediately performed several backflips to dodge the hail of sludge.

"Such impressive agility." Erika thought, as she watched in awe as Leavanny continued to nimbly dodge attacks. However, a hidden smirk soon spread across Erika's face. "But now I have you right where I want you."

"Leavanny, when you have an opening, rush in and use Aerial Ace!" After dodging another wave of Sludge Bombs, Leavanny saw her opening and charged forward to gain momentum. But before Leavanny could attack, Erika put her plan into action.

"Victreebel use Leaf Storm!" The Flycatcher Pokemon briefly began to glow a dim green, as a swarm of razor sharp leaves swirled around it.

"What's she planning?" Ash thought, his eyes narrowing in suspicion. "Leaf Storm won't do that much damage against Leavanny, and it will make Victreebel slower as well." Just then the flurry of sharpened leaves completely surrounded Leavanny, stopping her mid-attack. Leavanny stood still in the middle of the storm of razor sharp leaves, unsure of what to do next.

"Now Victreebel, use Toxic!" Ash's eyes widened when a ball of poisonous sludge pierced through the barrier of leaves and hit Leavanny in the head.

"She used Leaf Storm as a diversion, so that she could hit Leavanny with Toxic." Ash thought, watching as Leavanny wiped the disgusting ooze off her face. "She knew that Leavanny was a dangerous threat and that she would have difficulty taking her out. So now she's turned this into a battle against the clock...clever girl." A wide smirk spread across Ash's face, as he twisted his cap backwards. "Alright Erika let's see who will fall first, Leavanny or Victreebel."

"Don't worry Ash..." Erika said with a smirk of her own. "I plan to win this battle."

"We'll see about! Leavanny are you still good to battle?" Ash asked, earning a quick nod from the Nurturing Pokemon; who's face was covered in a hazy purple hue. "Awesome! I know you're in pain right now, but just endure it for a little bit longer! Now use Sunny Day!" Leavanny's entire body began to faintly glow, as the battlefield was bathed in an intense light. "Great! Go on the offensive now and use back to back Poison Jabs!"

"Victreebel dodge those attacks and counter with your own Poison Jabs!" The Flycatcher Pokemon tried to do as its trainer commanded, but Erika failed to take into account the speed reduction Victreebel faced after using Leaf Storm. Victreebel attempted to dodge Leavanny's attacks, but it was just too slow to avoid all of them. Several of Leavanny's attacks hit, causing Victreebel to wince in pain. Leavanny's attacks weren't super effective, but they still did significant damage against Victreebel.

"Now Leavanny, finish this with Solar Beam!" The Nurturing Pokemon launched forward one last time and grabbed ahold of Victreebel. Using the last of her strength, Leavanny gathered up as much solar energy as she could, which was sped up because of Sunny Day. Once Leavanny had gathered enough energy, she fired Solar Beam at point blank range into Victreebel's gaping mouth. Victreebel's eyes shot wide open as Leavanny's powerful attack flooded its entire body; the solar energy causing its body to glow slightly. When Leavanny finished her attack, Victreebel was unconscious where it stood. Leavanny leaped off Victreebel and took a few stumbling steps back, before she fell over unconscious as well.

"Both Pokemon are unable to battle! The gym leader Erika is now down to her final Pokemon! So trainers will you please bring out your next Pokemon?!"

"I must say that was quite an impressive strategy Ash." Erika complimented, as she returned Victreebel and grabbed her final Pokeball.

"Your strategy was pretty smart as well Erika." Ash said, smiling down at Leavanny's Pokeball before he grabbed another off his belt. "But if I was going down, I wanted to make sure I took one of your Pokemon with me."

"Well I believe it's time we ended this battle." Erika said with a small smile, as she enlarged the Pokeball in her hand. "I said that you'd see her, so here she is! Come on out Vileplume!" Hurling the Pokeball into the air, the Flower Pokemon appeared in front of Erika in a bright flash of white light. When Vileplume spotted Ash, her eyes lit up and she energetically waved at the raven-haired trainer. "See, I told you she'd be excited to see you again."

"Wow, Gloom has gotten pretty big since I last saw her." Ash commented with a smile, waving back at Vileplume. "Well I have another awesome grass-type to show you Erika! He comes all the way from the Kalos region! Chesnaught I choose you!" With a mighty roar, the Spiny Armor Pokemon crashed onto the battlefield in front of Ash.

"Oh my! What an impressive Pokemon!" Erika gushed, as she clapped her hands. "I've never been to the Kalos region before. Maybe I'll have to schedule a trip now."

"Vileplume vs. Chesnaught, battle begin!"

"Chesnaught, charge in and use Low Sweep!" Grunting in acknowledgement, Chesnaught thundered towards Vileplume.

"Don't let it get close Vileplume! Use Venoshock!" The Flower Pokemon's cheeks puffed out, before it fired a stream of poisonous liquid at Chesnaught.

"Block it with Spiky Shield!" The Spiny Armor continued his charge forward, raising both his massive arms to erect a bright green barrier that sprouted dozens of extremely sharp spikes. Vileplume's Venoshock deflected harmlessly off the shield, and Chesnaught proceeded to ram into the Flower Pokemon with the spiked barrier. Briefly stunned by the strong attack, Vileplume was unable to dodge the powerful Low Sweep that Chesnaught followed up with. Vileplume winced in pain, as she fell onto one knee. "Now use Shadow Claw!"

"Vileplume quick, use Dazzling Gleam!" The large petals on Vileplume's head began to glow a blinding pink, sending a large amount of fairy-type energy. Chesnaught howled in pain, before he was forced to stop his attack and back off.

"You okay Chesnaught?" Ash asked, earning him a quick thumbs up from the Spiny Armor Pokemon. Chesnaught quickly recovered from the attack and wiped some sweat off his brow. "That was a pretty good move Erika, but let's see how you like this! Chesnaught use Earthquake!" Chesnaught let out a mighty roar, before he slammed both his massive arms into the ground; causing the entire greenhouse to shake. The violently shaking ground quickly knocked Vileplume off her feet. "Now Chesnaught, use Shadow Claw and Dragon Claw!" With the battlefield still shaking, Chesnaught charged towards Vileplume. When Chesnaught neared Vileplume his left arm hand became engulfed in a hazy, dark purple aura, while his right hand was shrouded in bright blue flames. Chesnaught hit with Dragon Claw first, the powerful attack lifted Vileplume off the ground. Then Chesnaught struck with Shadow Claw, slamming Vileplume back into the ground. "Finish it with Body Slam!"

"Vileplume you have to get up and move!" But Erika's command was useless, because Vileplume was far to injured and dazed to avoid the attack. Chesnaught leaped high into the air above Vileplume, and smashed into the Flower Pokemon with its full body weight. When Chesnaught stepped off Vileplume it clear that she was unconscious.

"Vileplume is unable to battle! The winner is Chesnaught! Since all of Erika's Pokemon are unable to battle, the winner is Ash Ketchum!"

"You did awesome Chesnaught!" Ash cheered, bumping fists with the Spiny Armor Pokemon. "Man you just seem to get stronger and stronger everyday! If you keep this up, you might be able to give Sceptile a run for his money!" This seemed to catch Chesnaught's attention, as his eyes lit up. "I know you, and most of my grass-types, look up to Sceptile. But I'm serious Chesnaught, keep training hard and I'm positive you'll be able to go toe-to-toe with Sceptile one day!" A wide grin spread across Chesnaught's face, as he nodded his head enthusiastically. Ash then pulled out his Pokeball and returned Chesnaught. "You did great buddy."

"That was quite the exhilarating battle Ash." Erika said, as she walked up to the raven-haired trainer. "You have some very impressive grass-type Pokemon. I would love to see them all sometime."

"That's sounds great Erika! I'm sure they'd love to play with you!" Ash exclaimed with a large smile, rubbing the back of his head. "If you're ever in Unova again, make sure to stop by Professor Juniper's lab. That's where all my Pokemon are staying now. I'll let her know that you might be stopping by."

"Thank you Ash, I'd like that very much." Erika said with a small smile, as she shook Ash's hand. "Please stop by again Ash, I'd love to battle you again."

"No problem Erika!" Ash yelled, waving to Celadon's gym leader as he walked off the battlefield. "I'll try to come back when I have the chance!"

(Ten Minutes Later: Road Back to Celadon's Pokemon Center)

"Well that was an impressive battle as usual Ash." Cilan complimented, as he put away the map that he was reading.

"So where are we going next, oh great leader." Burgundy asked in sarcastic tone, resting her hands on her hips.

"I can do without the sarcasm Burgundy." Ash said, as he huffed in annoyance. "And to answer your-" Ash was cut off when a loud squawking sound filled the air. Glancing up, Ash's eyes shot open when he saw something falling towards him. The raven-haired trainer barely had time to scream, before the object hit him in the face, immidiately causing him to fall to the ground.

"Ash!" The entire group yelled, as they surrounded the collapsed trainer.

"What was that thing?!" Dawn exclaimed, crouching down next to Ash.

"I don't know!" May replied, as she crouched down on the other side of Ash. However, everyone was surprised when whatever hit Ash began to move. "Is it a Pokemon?"

"Uhhhhhh..." Ash groaned, sitting back up and rubbing his sore head. "What the fuck was that?" Looking down in his lap, Ash was surprised to see a small owl-like Pokemon with a round boy and short legs. The strange Pokemon had large black eyes, a stubby beak, and leaves on its chest that resembled a bowtie. "A Pokemon?" Ash pulled out his Pokedex and scanned the mysterious Pokemon, but he was surprised when no data came up, only the Pokemon's name. Ash quirked an eyebrow as he stared at the unfamiliar name on the Pokedex's screen. "What's a Rowlet?"

And done! Now before any of you jump to conclusions, no Ash will not be traveling to Alola in this fic. I may mention Alola in the epilogue, but it will not be featured in the main story. I just really wanted to include a Gen 7 Pokemon, and Rowlet, and its evolutions, are possibly my favorite new Pokemon; plus Decidueye is now my favorite grass-type final evolution tied with Sceptile. So please don't spam me asking for Ash to go to Alola, because it's not going to happen. Again I want to apologize for the long wait for this chapter, and thank you all for your continued patience. Remember to follow/favorite if you enjoyed, PLEASE REVIEW (I NEED ALL OF YOU FEEDBACK!), PM me any ideas you have for any of my fics, and check out my other fics if you haven't already. I want to wish you all a very merry Christmas and a happy holidays! Think of this as my early gift to you all XD. So until next time, I'm outta here!
