I don't own any of this Loud House belongs to Nickelodeon.
The Sanctuary; a once great shelter for the post-impact survivors of Royal Woods, is now nothing more but a smoldering ruins of brick, with bodies of both Sanctuary residents and Wolf Gang members laying dead around the area.
After the day of the deadly battle and destruction of the Sanctuary, the survivors have moved over to the grocery store. It wasn't the Sanctuary as it had a more limited capacity for how many people can stay in it, it also didn't help that the back end of the store had collapsed.
It wasn't ideal for them as they were used to the more space and comfortable life back in the Sanctuary. The luxury of electricity is gone, their food situation is dire as they lost most of it during the whole panic of the evacuation.
Many were also scared from the whole event that had happen two days ago. It was a understandable reaction as such a deadly battle will ultimately traumatize some, especially for those who have never experience such a deadly conflict in their lives or unfortunately lost their loved ones from it.
This fear is what made them stay away from area where the Sanctuary once stood for the day after the battle. They were scared that surviving Wolf Gang members are around the area, scavenging through the remains.
The Louds along with some other people however had grew in some confidence and decided to head back. They were still cautious when they got two blocks away from the Sanctuary for as far as they knew, Wolf Gang members could be wandering around here waiting to ambush them.
"Alright keep an eye out kids, they could be anywhere." Rita warned.
Lynn however waved her mother's warning off. "Don't worry mom, if we do come across one of them. I'll give them a reason to fear us."
"Yeah!" Lana agreed. "You mess with one of us. You'll get the whole Loud train.
"You got that right Lana." Lola said.
"Still, it's good to be cautious kids." Lynn Sr. remarked.
They walked down the two blocks and at last the barriers and fence came into view. They were coming in from the right as they approached the pushed opened front gate. From here, they had an outlook of the whole battlefield where the bodies of Wolf Gang laid, which were already being picked on by birds, dogs, and other scavengers. Some of the scavengers who were eating on the bodies that were closest, looked up at the newcomers briefly before going back to their meals.
Entering through the gate, they were met with more bodies, including Mr. Grouse which really disturbed them as his lifeless eyes were looking right back at them. They quickly adverted their eyes towards the remains of the Sanctuary, hard to believe that this pile of rubble once gave them shelter in this dark world.
Oh, how things quickly fall apart in just one day. What was worse? Is that not only have they lost their shelter, but they also lost one of their own.
Luna; their rockstar is gone! Along with her lover Sam. It was a massive blow for them, to just loose one of their family members, it was bad enough that they still don't know the status of Lori, (though in the back of their minds they feared the worst) but to actually witness their sister's/daughter's lifeless body lay in front of them is no doubt so much worse.
They couldn't even give her or Sam a proper burial as their bodies must've burned into a crisp when the Sanctuary blew. The only thing they could really do is just hold a ceremony near the wreckage, while the people they traveled with wandered around the area.
With it being a ceremony for the dead, it was only natural that Lucy would give the speech. The young goth stepped to the front of her family, she turns her back to the wreckage with her head down and her hand on her chest, the rest of the family do the same thing out of respect.
"Dearly beloved, we are gathered here today to mourn over the untimely demise of Luna Loud; a very much loved daughter and sister to all of us. She was a good person who provided us with all shorts of rocking jams, she's also been there to lend a helping hand for all of us. It's very unfortunate that she has met her end at such a young age, but hopefully now she along with her soulmate Sam are in a far more better place, than the world their spirits have departed from."
All of the Louds felt tears streaming down their faces. That speech Lucy had given really did drive home the loss of Luna, it just wasn't fair that she never got to fulfill her dream of being a rockstar. This sadness ultimately turned to anger that was not only pointed towards the disaster that caused all this in the first place, but mostly to the Wolf Gang. They were the ones who murdered her in cold blood, they were the ones who took away their shelter, and mostly they were the ones who terrorized the group of survivors they were with.
It was good that the battle had taken out a great many of them, as they deserved it after their brutal acts. Yet, they knew that it probably wasn't all of them, it was most likely that a few of them had stayed behind at their headquarters.
Hopefully those few wouldn't bother them after this battle had killed most of their members, but time will ultimately tell about what those remaining members of the Wolf Gang will do.
For the next few minutes the family stood there in a moment of silence to honor and remember Luna and Sam. When they were finished, they spread out a bit to see if anything salvageable can be collected, Lisa had went to where the green house once stood.
Standing in the middle of the ruins, Lisa is very disappointed that her super seeds had been destroyed by the explosion, she judged that the fire resulting from that explosion had really burned through here. It was most unfortunate that the seeds had been destroyed, it was even more unfortunate that she couldn't even make any more, what with her lab destroyed and all.
Looks like she'll have to find another way to get food, definitely will be challenge, but that's ok, as Lisa liked to have a decent challenge. Meanwhile nearby, Lincoln looked through some of the wreckage and to his surprise he came across the front cover of the comic he and his friends had made. It was torn at the bottom with faint burnt marks, it is very surprising that it hasn't burned away completely.
"So much for reintroducing the comic book back into the world." He bitterly said, he then tossed what remained of that hard work away.
Near the area where the auditorium once stood proudly, Luan stood on top of the wrecked stage feeling very down.
To think that not so long ago, she put on one of her best shows, that finally gave people to smile and laugh after being stuck in the middle of the apocalypse. Then came the next day and the Wolf Gang invasion happened, which resulted in the loss of so many, including the sister she considered herself to be closest to, it was literally a mood whiplash from happiness to despair.
Luan wasn't even sure that she could do another show, or do any form of comedy for that matter. After all that happened which fallowed to the death of her sister, Luan just didn't have the energy to tell a joke or even a pun and she wasn't sure if she could have that energy ever again.
Lana and Lynn wandered right by where the right side wall once stood. So far in their walk they saw the same thing: wreckage, wreckage, and more wreckage. How on Earth were they supposed to find anything useful in this mess? Lana thought that not even she could dig through it.
"Why are we even wasting our time on doing this? I doubt we're going to find anything useful in this trash." Lynn complained, Lana nodded in agreement. "Yeah, with how the place blew up. I don't think there's going to be anything worth savaging."
"You know what we should do, we should move to another town. We have no more food left here in town anyway, so going to another town is the logical thing to do."
"Look at you being all strategic." Lana teased.
Lynn shrugged. "Hey when you become in charge of getting supplies, you learn quickly about how to strategize your survival."
"So what town do you think we should go to?" Lana now asked.
"Maybe Detroit or something, as at least that place or other towns might have something. We are just gonna have to be aware of others that already live there, as I bet there are groups of people who are just as bad as those Wolf Chumps, perhaps even worse."
"Worse?" Lana can hardly comprehend that their might be worser people than those Wolf bullies, it was unfavorable that such a statement would come out of her big sister's lips.
"Yes worse." Lynn confirmed to Lana. "People are trying everything they can for their own survival, and I mean everything."
"Like what?" Lana nervously asked.
"Stuff that I shouldn't say for kids your age. Heck, it's stuff that I'm not supposed to hear yet." Lynn replied.
That answer made Lana nervous, she definitely didn't want to encounter any of those people yet, she was too young to experience any of those mysterious, horrible things Lynn was talking about. Lynn meanwhile spoke up, "Yep, when we leave town, we'll have to keep an eye, whoa!"
"An eye whoa?" Lana confusedly asked.
"No, look." Lynn pointed over to something, Lana looked over and jumped as right in front of the two sisters is the ripped apart body of Diego, his stomach had been ripped open spilling his intestines everywhere, a chunk of his left arm is torn off, and his neck was violently ripped open.
The two girls were really unsettled over the state of the body, make no mistake they absolutely hated him over the things he did to them, it was just the state of the body that unsettled them.
"What the heck happen to this jerk?" Lynn question.
Knowing about animals, Lana went closer to the body for a good inspection. She saw some canine tracks, some dog hair, and bite marks on parts of the neck that is still intact. "Looks like he's been mauled by a pack dogs."
"That's a bad way to go." Lynn stated.
Lana however crossed her arms and turned her back from the corpse. "He diserved it though. I say it's fitting that he got killed by dogs after killing our two pets."
Lynn couldn't argue with that, besides with him dead, he'll wouldn't be causing anymore trouble with her family ever again, but there was one thing that bothered her though, something that may still be putting her and the rest of her family at risk. "What about the dogs?"
Lana thinks for a minute before answering Lynn. "Given how carnivores tend to be protective of their kills, I say that as long as we're far away from the body, we should be safe."
With that advice given, the two sisters wisely moved away from the dead body. They instead decided to go check in the back area for anything useful.
Lucy came down into of what was left of the basement. Since the explosion had started out here, it had substain the most damage as most of it had caved in, heck the steps weren't even there, Lucy had to use a rope in order to get down here.
Looking around, all Lucy could see were twisted pipes and rubble, her dark place clearly had nothing here and it was definitely dangerous as more pieces of the ceiling might collapsed on top of her any second from now.
Lucy sadly sighed in despair, she should've tried harder to prevent this. If only she did, then perhaps they could've still have the Sanctuary and Luna along with Sam could still be alive. Sigh, how the future can be a cruel mistress, like flowing rivers that go in different directions, they all will eventually lead into an ocean.
And yet the future wasn't finished just yet, as Lucy recalled the other vision of those people trekking through the snowy desert. The destruction of the Sanctuary was quite clear, but the other vision wasn't. Lucy had a feeling that she will eventually figure it out sometime later.
Leni wandered to the far left, from here she had a clear view of the fence that had been taken down by the debris that had been flown from the explosion. Leni stared at a section of fence that's twisted up by a 2x4 that's lodged in it, it memorized her as Leni had never seen such a thing before.
The whole event was something that Leni had trouble wrapping her mind around. Just how can people do something so mean with no regret, they could've shared with the bad men if they wanted some of their supplies.
Leni walked two steps, then bumped into something that nearly made her fall, looking back Leni saw that it was one of the sewing machines. Seeing the sewing machine made her more sad, all those clothes she had made for everyone are now gone and now no one will have anymore nice, new clothes to wear.
She will have to find a new way to make clothes in the future as everyone in her group definitely needed new clothes, more specifically clothes that were warm as Leni had noticed that it was more colder than yesterday.
She just wouldn't stand to see people shiver, she promised herself that someway, she'll make new clothes for anyone.
Sitting on top of the dumpster that stood next to the front gate, Lola glumly watched her parents and Lilly look around the front of the wreckage.
Although this whole turn of events wasn't her fault as the Wolf Gang would've attacked the Sanctuary regardless if the Louds were there or not. Lola had basically developed survivor's guilt, in her mind she was convinced that if she did what her parents and Lisa had told her to do, Luna would still be alive and everyone would still have a home.
She had to make things right for her family, along with avenging Luna, it was the only way to atone for the trouble she has caused, but how was she going to do it is a big question?
Lola thinks and thinks, until a solution came to her. Since the Wolf Gang attacked their shelter, it should be fitting that their home shelter should be attacked as well, it was returning the favor for what they did to her family and friends.
Was it a incredibly dangerous thing to do? Yes it was, if the circumstances were different, Lola realized that since they lost a majority of their gang, the remaining ones were vulnerable to get attacked. Now how to pull off such an attack is the question? How was she going to destroy their shelter?
While Lola thought about avenging her sister, Ronnie Anne felt that she was ready to take revenge on her grandfather's murderers. The training she endured in her secret training room has made her arms and legs to grow muscles, she also felt that she mastered her hits with any sports equipment along with her fists and feet. Yes, she was sure that when she comes across them, they wouldn't get the chance to fight back as they will be a bleeding mess on the ground.
Her family had easily noticed the increase in muscles Ronnie Anne obtain. Naturally they asked her about the muscles, as it was a bit unusual for her to suddenly build up on her muscles. Ronnie Anne simply told them that she felt like that she should get stronger in order to help out more when she goes out to collect supplies. The lie worked well and she hoped that the lie would stick as she couldn't afford for her family to get in the way of her revenge.
Today however is a big day for Ronnie Anne's group. A few days ago one of the supply-run groups had discovered that the museum was still standing, it was a lucky find as it was big, much bigger than their current home in the community center. A decision was quickly made and they were going to move from here to the museum.
They first moved the essential items; stuff from medical to food are now at the museum. The next thing to go was the people, specifically the elderly, the injured, and the very young children as those were the most at risk of a sudden ambush, so it was best to move all of them with a heavy escort. This also meant that Ronnie Anne's grandma Rosa along with her younger cousins Carl and Carlitos were the first of her family to move out of the community center.
Soon it will be her turn to be moving to the new place. Shame that they were leaving this place, but it was for the best as Ronnie Anne knew that this place has simply become too small to hold all of them, besides Ronnie Anne thought it would be pretty cool to be living in a museum, something that Ronnie Anne never thought she would be living in.
She definitely needed to have a new training room when she gets there, she can't become lazy and loose all these muscles when that day comes. Going over to the door, Ronnie Anne gave her training room; a place where she learned her new fighting techniques and poured out a lot of sweat, one final look before closing the door on the room.
Making her way to the entrance, Ronnie Anne met up with the rest of her family; where Bobby and her mom held some boxes that contained some leftover medical supplies from her mother's office, her mother's motto was not to leave any medical supplies behind as they may prove useful. Her uncle Carlos and aunt Frida stood silently, while her cousins Carlota and CJ stood near the door waiting for the escort to come back with the latter swinging back and forth on his heals, while humming a cheerful tune.
"Hey sis, where have you been?" Bobby asked her.
"Oh, you know. Just taking one last look at the place." She replied nonchalantly while folding her arms.
Carlota turns her attention to her aunt and cousins. "I can't believe we're actually moving out from this place. It seemed only like yesterday we just settle ourselves in here."
"It definitely does." Maria exclaimed as the thoughts of this pass month of spending time in that closet that she turned into her office flashed by. It was a short time, but Maria had grown attached to it a bit. "At least the new place we're moving to has a lot more space for us."
"We're going to be hanging with dinosaurs!" CJ excitedly stated.
"If they're still standing that is." Ronnie Anne said as she had a feeling that with the great earthquake, most of the displays in the museum must've been knocked over.
"Nah, dinosaurs are too tough to be knocked over." CJ cheerfully exclaimed, he really hoped that the museum's top dinosaur the Carcharodontosaurus; a large carnivore from Africa is still standing. Carcharodontosaurus was in his top 5 favorite dinosaurs, to be living with the skeleton would be absolutely great. He also thought that his dad is going to love living in the museum, as he loved to talk about science and history stuff.
"I'm sure they are buddy." Bobby said, the box he held slipped from his grip, he quickly grabbed it before it could hit the ground. After regaining his height, he lets out a soft chuckle over nearly dropping the box.
Anywho they waited for awhile, it was a long wait since the museum was a good distance away from the community center. This didn't stop some people to become impatient. It was mainly kids and some teens, though some of the adults weren't no better as they complained that the escort is taking a long time to get here, while some were impatiently tapping their fingers against the wall.
Ronnie Anne wasn't a patient girl herself, but all this muttering and tapping is really starting to bug her. She was about to say something, but thankfully the escort had finally came back, thrus saving her from telling everyone to be quiet.
"Our ride here." Bobby said as he readjusted his box.
One member of the escort party, who's name was Tim came over, he opens up the door in order to address everyone. "Alright everyone. Your the last batch to go, so hopefully you got everything you need and went to the bathroom as we're not stopping until we reached the museum. During our trip, you must stick close to the group as you may get lost or experience something worse if you stray too far from the group."
Everyone nodded in understandment, soon with the escort guiding them, they left the community center for the final time.
The travel towards the museum was indeed a long one, the group had traveled passed many blocks while they kept up a steady pace with each other for no one wanted to be left behind.
For Frida, trekking through the city is a little much for her. Just walking through the ghost town is enough to make her emotions to become wild, it was just very hard to believe that this city was once a lively place filled with happy people.
She just couldn't adapt to this new way of life. Honestly, how was anything supposed to be alright, she felt like that she was coming apart.
Her husband noticed his wife's emotional state and was very worried for her. He knew that this whole event has hit her harder than anyone else in the family, he was very glad that they hadn't run into anything else yet. Carlos didn't know how she would react if they had been attacked by bandits, he feared that it would've absolutely break her even more.
Hopefully a change of scenery would make her feel better a bit, though he had a fleeing that it wasn't going to do much.
After traveling several more blocks through the city, the museum finally came into view with its doors wide open like a welcoming home.
It was definitely a welcoming sight for the group who walked up to the steps. After climbing up them, they entered the front lobby where everyone else is already waiting as they chatted with each other, while in the middle of the room is a plastic blue whale that had fallen from the ceiling.
CJ pointed excitedly to the plastic whale. "Look! It's the whale from Finding Nemo."
Grandma Rosa pushes her way to her family with Carlitos in her arms, she was very happy to see her family again. "Oh gracias! You all made it. Did you all have a safe trip?"
"It was fine mom, we didn't ran into anything dangerous." Carlos looked around for a second. "Where's Carl?"
"Oh, he and his little friends are on the other side of that whale, they were really interested in that thing when we first arrived here."
Carlos adjust his glasses a bit. "Ah yes, the Balaenoptera musculus, the largest animal on Earth or was the largest animal on Earth."
"What do you mean dad?" CJ asked.
Carlos didn't have the heart to tell his son that the blue whale has most likely died off by now, so he quickly thought up a lie. "Nothing CJ, it's just that the whale has shrunk a bit."
"Oh, like the laundry?"
Carlos nodded quickly. "Yes, like the laundry."
Meanwhile Maria and Bobby were wondering where they should put there boxes. There was many places to put them down, but where exactly? "So what do you think mom?"
Maria thought for a minute. "How about somewhere in the basement, there should be a room down there that I could settle in."
"To the basement then." Bobby and Maria walked off to find the stairs that lead down into the basement.
Everyone else had septated to explore their new surroundings, Ronnie Anne is one of them as she traveled to the medieval section, looking at the various armor that is on the floor. Looking at the armor suddenly made her think that she should probably make her own set of armor, with armor on, her fantasized face off with the killers would definitely go in her favor even more.
The more Ronnie Anne looked at the armor and weapons of the medieval section, the more ideas popped into her head on what she could use against the killers.
This museum will definitely be a good home.
Overall Ronnie Anne's group settled in quite nicely in their new museum home, by the time they unpacked their food, it was just about evening.
They would have to clean up the large mess the earthquake had left them, but with all of them here, it shouldn't take very long. The museum will truly become a great home for them, when they're done with the cleaning and converting.
As for the Louds who had returned to their new temporary shelter a few hours ago with nothing salvaged from the Sanctuary in their hands. Their new home just wouldn't do for them and the other members of their group, what with the limited space and no food or medical supplies, it seems like Lynn's suggestion on leaving Royal Woods was going to be taken seriously.
It troubled most of the group as Royal Woods is their home, they didn't know if they could even have the hearts to leave. It wasn't just the familiar ties that held them here, it was also the fear of traveling to unfamiliar territory where unknown dangers lurked, at least here they knew what sort of dangers roamed around. But if they stay here then they'll starve, they had no choice. They had to leave Royal Woods, possibly by tomorrow if possible.
