"You're a puppet controlled by your coven, you have dead eyes and you lack all common sense!" Dipper snapped "you seriously need help!"

Frida flinched before replying"...how can my eyes be dead?" She asked tilting her head "is that a disease?"

Dipper groaned causing the black haired, blood red eyed girl to fall into more confusion.

The two were now in a forest looking for the ingredients for Frida's potion test and Dipper couldn't handle Frida's...Fridaness.

"*sigh* do you really not see anything wrong with how you act?" Asked Dipper tiredly

"I apologize, bu-"

"Let's just get the stuff and get out of these woods" Said Dipper tiredly, interrupting Frida, as he opened a book.

"Very well" said Frida with an instinctive bow that Dipper chose to ignore.

"The first ingredient is fire bee honey, so be on the lookout for any hives." Said Dipper as he looked in his book

A few seconds later, an crash was heard causing Dipper to face palm.

"Found one"

Dipper wished for nothing more than for this to end as fast as possible.

"Die, you monstrosities!" Mabel yelled as she smashed an abomination into a wall using a mace-like tail only for it regenerate "oh, come on!"

Mabel has been running from Bump's abomination for quite a while now and it was starting to get rough. The problem wasn't that they could beat her, it was that she was starting to get tired from running away and they couldn't be destroyed.

"I need to find a place to hide." Said Mabel as her eyes darted around her, looking for a way out.

The abomination, soon after recovering, enlarged it's hand and tried to catch Mabel once again.

Mabel dodged and started running once more. She looked around her for anything, anything that might help and saw some friends.

"Gus!" Exclaimed Mabel happily causing Gus, who was with Luz to turn around "make an illusion of me, now!"

Gus, puzzled by the situation, drew the magic circle making an illusion of Mabel and had it run away from the area as Mabel camouflaged herself.

The abomination ran in the direction of the illusion and left Mabel with Gus and Luz.

"Mabel? What's going on?" Luz asked in concern "why are you being chased?"

"PrincipalBumpwantsmetocompeteinthenextgrudgbymatchandican'tdoitbecausepeoplewouldbekilledinmyname!"

"Whoa, slow down" said Luz perplexed by Mabel's panic

"Oh, Bump must've asked her to compete in a grudgby match."

"Okay...why is that bad?"

"Last time she played, the other team was so horrendously defeated that one of them were eaten by the crowd" replied Gus calmly "though, the entire school would still go crazy for this if Mabel joins."

"What do i do?! If i say no, everyone would be disappointed and if i say yes, my hands will be smeared in the souls of the innocent!"

"Well, isn't that pretty normal" Asked Luz causing Mabel to freeze "stuff like this happens a lot in the human realm too, if we had to stop a game every time someone goes overboard we wouldn't play a thing. You shouldn't let it bother you."

Mabel went silent, surprised by the sudden advice. But before she could fully process it, a familiar voice was heard.

"Found you!" Exclaimed Bump as he saw Mabel.

Mabel darted away from Bump at fast speed almost immediately.

"You'll never catch me alive!"

"I have three books on necromancy, Mabel, You can't escape this!"

Thankfully, Bump was too preoccupied with Mabel to notice Luz, who wanted to say hi only for Gus to pull her away.

Meanwhile, Mabel was thinking about what Luz said as she made her escape.

"*inhale* *exhale* we found nearly all the ingredients...partially on fire or frozen...somehow, but we have them. All we need is the last ingredient, the venom of a Turkeytrice, a giant, long legged turkey with the venom breath that can paralyze upon enough skin contact that we need. Why your dad risks your life like this, i will never know."

"I do not question orders." Said Frida almost robotically

Dipper had long given up on trying to talk to her about her behavior. Currently, there was no way for him to change her. So, he just stayed silent as they headed towards the turkeytrice's nest.

It was a silent journey without much trouble, it was only until they made it to the nest that things started going wrong.

The nest was inside a cave, and only when they were inside that cave that they realized how much they underestimated how big the thing was.

Now, hiding behind a boulder, they were looking for a plan.

"I think I'm beginning to question the sanity of your dad." Deadpanned Dipper with a frown

"If he asked me to do this, then it is within my abilities." Said Frida before going silent and staring at the beast. Without another word, she rushed towards it.

Dipper stared wide eyed at the stupid decision made by Frida before he decided to follow her.

"Are you crazy?!"

"I must follow orders" replied Frida calmly

Dipper nearly face palmed at that reply before he pulled out some restraining slime from a potion and got ready as the beast roared.

Frida quickly began using earth magic to try to get the turkeytrice off it's feet, only for the giant beast to nimbly jumped out of the way before spewing out it's paralyzing breath.

Dipper immediately wanted to make a bubble around them, if only Frida didn't rush to attack the beast once more. He saw that she was in more danger than he was and decided to use his only bubble on her while trying to block the breath using other potions.

Before Frida could use the opportunity provided by Dipper to defeat the beast, she saw something that made her stop. Dipper was unprotected, he was protecting her and leaving himself open. It felt awful to see him like this. Her eyes moved from Dipper to the beast and back, trying to choose between them and soon she did.

Quickly, Frida hurried back to Dipper and blocked gas using the bubble.

"Uh, thanks?"

"We didn't win yet." Said Frida as she stared at the beast and got ready to fight.

"Don't worry, I've got your back"

Frida immediately turned to Dipper and tilted her head in confusion and possibly aggression.

"It's an expression. It means I'm helping you through this." Said Dipper and Frida calmed down "you really need to learn more expression-"

Dipper couldn't finish the sentence before he and Frida were thrown back into the fight. Only this time, they were working together.

"I don't think he'll look for me here" said Mabel panting from exhaustion before slumping unto the ground.

Mabel was now...on top of the school, believing that Bump would never look for her there.

Mabel turned to the school's sports field. There, some poor student was taken by a random demon. It was so...normal for that to happen than no one batted an eye, even her.

"Maybe, Luz and Graunty Eda are right. Maybe I'm making a bigger deal out of this than i should." Said Mabel dejectedly as she curled into a ball

She was usually the one who easily adapted between her and Dipper. But the boiling isles did have things that, still, even after all these years feel...weird.

Mabel sighed and headed down from the roof using angelic looking wings. Soon enough, an abomination found her and was about to attack before Mabel stopped it.

"Stop, *sigh* I'll go to Bump." Said Mabel dejectedly.

The abomination stopped it's attack and began leading Mabel to Bump, who was with Eda at the time near detention.

"Mabel." Called Eda who saw her dejected niece.

"I'm fine" said Mabel before turning to Bump "Principal Bump, I'm joining the match."

A satisfied smile spread across Bump's face.

"You've chosen right. Now, Edalyn, i think it's time to official enroll your human at Hexsi-"

CRASH*

Everyone turned to the detention door to see it destroyed and among it's rubble was Luz, Gus and a boy Mabel didn't know.

This, of course, angered Bump beyond what his current happy mood could handle. He berated both Luz and Eda for the chaos and told them to leave.

And there, Mabel drew the line.

"No." Said Mabel as Ed and Luz were leaving "if Luz doesn't enter Hexside, then I'm not joining the match."

"Actions have consequences, Miss Clawthorne. I cannot let-"

"Wait! It was my fault! I brought her here!" Added Gus who ran towards Mabek and stood next to her "if anyone should be punished, it's me."

Faced with this sudden change in the situation, Bump's expression changed. He agreed to the proposal and Gus was to no longer be the leader of the Human appreciation society while Mabel was still set to join the grudgby match.

And Luz entered Hexside.

Meanwhile, although she wouldn't use the word, Frida made a new friend.
