The next day, the words still made her think about her quality of life. Levy was content, she wasn't happy. But when was the last time she gave a real smile? She walked home at sunset, the sky was a gorgeous pink and orange and had the perfect amount of clouds. It's a little later than she would leave the office, but she spent the night at Lucys and woke up late.

Although her job didn't have scheduled hours, she was glad she made it in at the time she did because there were new interns and new hires and the place needed some guidance. She was a lead editor of the largest newspaper company in the world. Her job was great, she had the ability to have a social life, she had great benefits, she had flexible hours. Her job was great, although she could make more working elsewhere or really applying herself she felt content.

Her walk was ten minutes to work, ten minutes back. Her condo was a creme color, a small stairway to the second floor where she entered. There was parking behind the condo but Levy had many reasons not to own a vehicle. She liked to walk as an editor. It's easy to put weight on. So walking to the door she searched her black purse, she wore a soft lilac shirt, and some khakis. Opening the doors with her keys, and closed the door locking it. Who knows who could be behind her. Turning the lights on and kicking her shoes off, she placed her purse on the island, and opened the fridge for her meal prepped chilli she made a couple days ago. Levy hated cooking so meal prep was a good option. She opened the glass container and placed it in the microwave for two minutes and thirty seconds. She forgot her lunch and was just so hungry. Then pulled a cold bottle of red wine out of her fridge and poured herself some. It's abnormal to refrigerate red wine but she preferred it cold.

Walking to the bedroom she passed the guest room and the bathroom. She headed into her own room, closing the door, and gasped. Dropping her red wine on the floor. The dark room is illuminated by the sunset through the window with minimal light spilling through. The dark figure stood staring out the window. Fear filled her veins as she backed up against her closed door.

At first she thought it was an intruder. Well, technically he was an intruder. But as he turned and locked eyes with her own. She knew. She knew the man who stood almost seven feet tall, with long black hair now in a braid down his back. He approached, and the small woman tried to turn and run. Her first instinct was to run. All her windows were locked because she ran the AC all the time. She knew her door was locked when she came in. Shaking her hands seemed to fail her, because she failed to open the door.

Gajeels hand held the door closed, as she successfully turned the knob. She pulled but the hand was just holding the door still. She looked up, her brown eyes meeting his red. His stern look, with nose piercings now. She found his hair had stripes of grey, although most of his hair was midnight black. "Gajeel," mumbling in fear, "Why are you here?" Thoughts going through her mind a million miles an hour.

Why now? Why her? He's just going to disappear again. All the pain surfaced from the last time he disappeared. Of the letter he had given her explaining about Juvia. Juvia Redfox, a non-existent person. He gave an almost evil smile, as she continued with the door handle. Is he going to hurt me? She pondered as she felt so overwhelmed her knees began to buckle.

"To see you of course. Do I scare you Levy?" He breathed on her neck, as she flipped around sitting in the broken glass and red wine on her carpet. She couldn't breathe.

"Gajeel Please leave," she gasped for air, having an anxiety attack. She could not make eye contact. She was mad because if he left, she would never be able to say what she wanted to say. Things she wanted to say four years ago. Things she wanted to say seven years ago about his initial disappearance. Call him out on all his lies. Tell him he broke her heart. But Gray and Natsu would never forgive her if he just walked back into her life.

Gajeel gave a loud hearty laugh, looking down at her. She felt so small, so weak. He asked once again now squatting staring at her, "Do I scare you Levy?" This time the question sounded different. As if pain was in his voice.

Levy felt it was clear, gasping for air, and shaking. Trying to escape. She didn't know how to gain any more confidence to make him answer for all of his wrong doings. She did not want him to see her cry. Her bangs fell over her face, "Please I am begging you please leave." Tears freely down her face. The only thing she could think of was pathetic. She was pathetic.

He moved closer, grabbing her hands and placing them above her head. Using his other hand as she tried her hardest to escape, he raised her chin. "I am asking you a question, Levy, do I scare you."

She opened her eyes, cheeks soaking with tears, her hair sticking to all over her face. If she said yes what would he do? And if she said no, what would he do? Did the answer really change the outcome? She stared back, will he force her to do anything against her will? Anything against her morals. His body pressed closer to her own, and feeling caged, she shot back, "does it even matter?"

He sighed, losing his grip, but not enough to pull away. "To me it actually does," seriousness filled his voice. His face was so close to her own she could feel his breathing. Goosebumps covering her skin.

She sobbed, her eyes now firm, "In-In every way shape and form," she smeared, "I am afraid of you. You have hurt me so much, I have hurt so much in the past seven years you would never believe it. You abandoned me, you left me alone while deciding to steal cars. You lied about your sick sister, she doesn't even exist as a person! I've searched the planet for her!" She gasped for air as Gajeel released her arms from the wall. Her arms quickly went around her chest, as if she could defend herself. "I waited. I waited for you Gajeel. While you decided to rob a bank, I waited. I saw you on the news that night. I saw it all."

Her eyes desperately looking at the man towering over her. His hair falling off his face, and brushing her own face. They were now forehead to forehead. "I spent so many birthdays alone, without you, I spent so many years wasting. No new boyfriends, no children, no dating, no one there for me when I graduated college. No one was there for me when I got my first real job, or my first bonus. Or when I bought my Condo." She begged, "I've been waiting for a felon. You lied to me so many times. Let me down so many times."

There was a pause for Levy to fix her hair behind her ears, she felt so hot. She was just ugly crying and hated how weak she looked. His hands found her hips, which made Levy tense. His thumbs circled her sides gently over her khaki pants that she had found in the dresser at Lucy's house.

This time in a whisper, "Did you not believe me when I said sorry Levy?" The use of her name sounded foreign out of his mouth. Although the past couple times that night. She had only heard him use her own name, it did not hit her till right then. His eyes looked at her stained flushed cheeks, her sweat coming from her temples, and the true sadness screaming from her eyes.

Matching his tone, "I don't believe you at all." She sniffled, calming down from her high of mania. "You would have met me at the bar if you were sorry. You would have never left me in the first place if you even loved me. You lied to me about everything." Her hands found his firm chest. Not following the suit of the soft caresses that Gajeel had given her. But instead giving him a firm push. "You would have changed for me," but the push did nothing.

He still was uncomfortably close. He was still pressing her against the wall. Levy felt she was going to be taken advantage of. She was petrified. He let a sigh out, "If it was only this simple." He removed his forehead and gave her a little bit more space as he leaned back. He trapped Levy with his boots against the wall knees on both sides of her. His hands now behind him to lean back. Levy felt like if she got up to run his hands would quickly pull her back down. His black jeans tightly fit on his stature.

Then he began, "Her name is Juvia, and she's not my real sister but she's the closest thing I have." He ran a hand on top of his hair, flatting his frizzy hair that had been falling from his braid, "Juvia Lockser, we don't share the same last name." His eyes searched for something in Levy, but Levy just stared at him with disgust. Another lie, she felt, "But in highschool, I was part of a gang. This would help me pay for my younger sister. The goal was to pay for her to leave the gang, and we'd both leave." He sighed once more, putting his hand down.

"But when I was arrested, the first time" he noted, "that was me being sloppy. I had been stealing cars since freshman year. It was the way I was paying for Juvia. It was hard work because I did not want to get into the more profitable business of drugs. For many reasons, I just did not want you to look at me any different if you saw me with a bag of coke or somethin." He looked down, his hand searching for Levys which was still in her lap.

"But when I got out, I decided no more. I went against the gang who had been neglecting Juvia. She was so skinny when I found her, she was so delusional she did not remember me." He painfully grinanced, reminiscing on the day he found his sister. "So I went bat shit crazy, and I had made my mind up. I was going to leave and take her with me. I was going to change my life, for you, for us, for her." His hand now intertwined his fingers with Levy. Levy relaxed, as much as she tried to put her walls up with him. But she was losing her spite, and slipping in to believing him.

"I found a safe place for Juvia, a much better place for her. Where she could be taken care of. Where I was staying when I got out of prison." Sighing again, "That's when I found you, after taking Juvia home, and after covering all my bases I knew you'd be at the bar." For an unexplained reason. "I met you there ready to change Levy, I swear. I mean that whole heartedly, I would not have come back if I had known the events that would have followed."

Levy tensed, thinking about the bank robbery, Juvia was something still hard for her to believe. But it only made sense he was in a gang, because he was doing odd things in highschool. Only hanging out with people older than them. People she had never seen before, "But the night of the bank robbery, it was staged. The security footage proved I was not in the bank to steal the money. But because I was tied to the gang, they put me as the getaway car. But I was really walking to go see you. From where we were staying. But the cops were magically called, and the stolen car that had the money was right outside the house I was staying at."

He gave a smirk, "but the trial was biased and I had to appeal for the lack of evidence, the money and the car had no proof of my finger prints, the videos of CCTV footage around the whole time the bank robbery happened proved my innocence. And I sold out everything I knew about the gang." Now looking into Levys eyes, searching for forgiveness, "You don't get out of an armed robbery charge in four years Shrimp. I am back for good, and the gang might come back for revenge, but I am being honest."

Levy stared at him wide eyed, it all seemed so surreal. It was true an armed robbery should be at least a couple more years. Unless he broke out of jail. His story about his sister was more believable. But to no avail could she just buy all of this. Even if it was the truth Lucy would not just let this man walk back into her life. There was a long pause as Gajeel let Levy consume all the words he had just spoken. "There was a reason why I was sorry, none of this should have happened. I never wanted you to be alone for so long but I was worried if anyone saw me writing to you, or calling you, they would try to find you." He sat up, his hands sliding behind her back pulling her onto a hug, "I had my friends who are caring for Juvia keeping tabs on you. Making sure you were safe."

Levy sighed, she didn't realize she'd been holding her breath, as she moved her hands behind his back to return the hug. "I just need time," she whispered into his hair. Closing her eyes.

"I'll wait as long as you need," His dry chapped lips kissed her temple, "Do you still want me to leave?" His voice was dry and hoarse from speaking so much.

Levys thoughts turn negative, he could just never reappear he could leave her forever. This could be the last time he ever sees her. Her friends would never forgive her being this weak. He mumbled into her hair, "Shimp, do you still want me to leave?" Her body held him tighter, a hug she had needed for years. She shook her head no.

"If you stay, you can sleep in my guest bedroom, but you have to clean up my carpet," She sniffed, now realizing she and him magically had not been cut by the glass. But her pants definitely were stained by the red wine. And so was her carpet. A big mess she would regret for the longevity of the life of the carpet.

There they lingered. They both needed the embrace. Eventually he pulled away from the hug, against Levys will. She yearned for more, "Deal. Should I carry you out of this glass?" He straightened to stand, and stretched his arms towards the ceiling.

She stared, still unsure about what was happening. "Um," she was a little unsure, "as long as there's no funny business." She looked down embarrassed. Gajeel leaned down, scouping Levy into his chest. She closed her eyes, her head against his chest. Looking for a heart beat, seeing if this was really real. He took only a couple of steps to place her softly down on the bed.

He walked away, somehow magically finding the vacuum as if he lived in the house. Levy took a couple of deep breaths, trying to gain the energy to walk to find pjs. Which was her initial reason for coming into her room. Thoughts filled her head, as she soberly realized he had magically gotten into her apartment without a key. He magically knew where her vacuum was. If she told Lucy, Lucy would call the police. Why was she not calling the police? She felt violated. She stared at her toes and past them towards the floor. How long had he even been here? Knees against her chest, and hands crossed over her legs.

When the vacuum turned on she glanced up towards the door. He wore a black hoodie, black jeans, and steel toe boots. He glanced up, with a signature smirk, "No shame in people watching huh?" with a gihi chuckle following his snarky comment.

Levy blushed, looking back down, " I never thought I would see you again. Especially vacuuming my carpet," she mumbled back. Maybe he heard her over the vacuum but maybe he did not. The room was now awfully dark, with the only light coming from the kitchen. Which barely made it through the dark hallway.

She continued her thinking, he was her hero, he was the love of her life. He was something she missed for years. She had been in a happy long relationship with him though highschool. She used to feel so safe with him. She used to think he was the best thing for her.

In highschool her freshman year, she regularly got bullied for her size, for her weight, for her hair color. Her pale skin, and spending all her time in the library. Her spring semester after coming back from winter break she decided she was going to draw some boundaries. She was in a chemistry class with a few juniors and seniors. The girls found it easy to pressure her into cheating on tests, stealing Levy's homework answers, and making her feel immoral about her education.

So she told them the first day of the spring semester she would no longer be sharing her notes with them. The girls huffed, calling her rude names. But Levy was strong enough to handle the pain of the words.

In the middle of class following the first exam, Levy had her hair in two braids down her back. And suddenly she heard a "snip". The braid fell onto the floor, and Levy gasped. Levy stood, her chair making a horrible noise as it scraped against the floor. "What the hell?!" She screamed in class, as her hand went to her hair. Touching where the missing briad was.

The teacher was furious, Levy being a teacher's pet, and because this was unacceptable behavior. He sent the girls to the security office, and walked Levy to the attendance office. The office allowed Levy to go home early to handle a haircut. So in the middle of the second period in tears, she walked to her locker.

Levy noticed the tall figure next to her locker, doing god knows what. But she didn't want to stare, and she just wanted to go home. So she kept her eyes down and fumbled with opening the lock.

The second time she noticed this figure was the next day in English class. She had never noticed him before, and she realized they shared a PE class. She soon enough started to notice him everywhere.

He was probably the tallest kid in the school, if not somewhere close. His hair was so long even then, and just with so little piercings. He was skinnier, with less muscle. But he was just as unwelcoming in his aura.

He stood in the cafe, he must have not noticed she was in the corner glued to a book. She saw him waiting for his drink. She got up and approached him and the two men he was with. She found it strange they were so much older than him. But She waved, with a friendly smile. Unafraid of him, she felt a flush on her cheeks. Regretting even walking towards him, but it was too late he had already made eye contact with her. "I, I just wanted to say hi. I am not sure if you know but I am in your English class." The two men walked away to receive their coffee and exited the building.

He seemed in a hurry. But he looked down at her, his dark eyebrows furrowed, "Nah, shrimp not ringing a bell." His voice was stern, and low. It was intense just like his style. She looked away, she was then deeply embarrassed. But that was the first time he called her shrimp. Although if he did or did not recognize her at the time she'll never know. He did not wait for a response from the flustered girl. "Ill see ya around." Just like that he followed where the two men had headed.

The vacuum clicked off, and Gajeel walked out of the room. There was a closet attached to the restroom she started her cleaning supplies in. But how did he know this? When he came down the hall he snapped the light on. His footsteps were light and gentle, his demeanor had changed. No longer so harsh.

"Squirt, are you going to sit there all day?" He inquired standing in the door frame.

Levy jumped out onto the floor. She kept her eyes down, "I, um, am going to get into some more comfortable clothes." She walked towards her dresser, in front of her bed and adjacent to the door Gajeel stood in. She quickly found some fuzzy pj pants and an oversized t-shirt. The large strong man quickly grabbed the door knob and closed the door behind him. Leaving Levy all by her lonesome.

She quickly changed, throwing her clothes in the hamper next to the dresser and headed towards the door. Her hand stopped from turning the knob, as she stared down. Was she really being smart about this? Should she really allow him to be here? Was she really going to forgive him? She had no idea how to approach the situation. She never thought she would be in this situation. But her gut told her to open the door. To embrace him fully. Because maybe this time she could live without regrets.

Opening the door and trailing down the dark hallway to the lit kitchen she saw Gajeel leaning on the small dining table. He glances up at her, his eyes eating her alive, as he took in her attire.

The microwave beeps. Levy looked over, and realized the chili has been waiting for her all this time. "Are you hungry?" She makes her way to the microwave to restart the microwave. She was sure her food was cold.

"I don't want to be a bother." an unusual response from him, something she did not expect.

She reached for the fridge door pulling another tupperware out of the fridge. Placing it on the counter, removing the lid she spoke, "As long as you're not picky, I am not the best cook." The microwave dinged and she swapped the hot bowl for the cold one. Turning around and pulling a fork out of the drawer she walked towards Gajeel placing the chilling on the beige table. "Its hot okay?"

The blue haired woman pulled a loose piece of hair behind her ear, as she realized how tall Gajeel had really gotten. How he seemed to have gained weight but in all the right ways. She did not spend too much time checking her ex out as she trotted back to the microwave and finding a new wine glass. She quickly poured herself another cup as she had not gotten her fill of wine for the day. She took a sip, and found another fork for herself, and got her chili. She went back to the table where she pulled a chair out and sat. Gajeel followed suit as they sat in silence. A weird silence. She took another sip of wine, and a small bite of the hot chili. Burning her mouth.

Gajeel only looked at his food. "Does it really look that bad?" She felt guilty presenting him food maybe he did not like. With a quick glance in the disappointment in Levys features, Gajeel took a bite.

"No Levy it's good thank you." She blushed at his use of her name, she blushed at his approval. Levy was so hungry because she had not eaten the whole day. So she ate a little quicker than lady like. The silence was odd but more bearable. Clearing his throat he grumbled, "Tomorrow I start work in construction."

Levy placed her fork down in her bowl, "How long have you been out?" She inquired, Gajeel still looking uncomfortable.

"Just a couple days. But I had to do some stuff," his answer was vague. The hesitancy of Levy quickly building a little more walls up that she had just let down.

Deciding not to press, Levy had other questions. "How did you find me, how did you find my condo? How did you get in?"

He smirked, "Well the people who care for Juvia have made sure to check in on you. And they followed you to this condo, and it was simple. I picked your lock."

She felt frustrated and violated as he literally broke into her house. "I guess another question is how long have you been here?" She wondered because she did not come home last night he could have been here over a day.

He chuckled, "Long enough to look at the cute photos of us in your bedroom." Ah yes those, she hid them every time her friends came over. But she could never let go of them. Levy had proudly displayed photos of her friends like Jet and Droy in the living room. She had also had quite a couple of photos of her and Lucy, and a photo of her birthday at the bar when she met all of her friends. But she hid her photos of Gajeel in her room.

Levy flushed as her thoughts scattered around her past. The following time from the coffee shop that the couple had interacted with. The air was warm, the sky was clear, and Levy was on her normal route home. She tried leaving school the least busiest was possible. Her size never helped the stampede around the front and back school entrances. So she would leave by the locker rooms, and past the athletic field. It was closer to the end of the second semester of her freshman year.

She appreciated the cool breeze, as she slowly strolled. Thoughts elsewhere, as she was broken from her thoughts. "It's you!" There wasn't another second before a binder smacked into the side of her head. Levys hands quickly went to the side of her head, with another blow from the binder. She hit the asphalt, overwhelmed, she felt a blow to the stomach. She gasped the air being knocked out of her as she was writhing in pain. Her hands didn't know where to go. Her head, or her stomach. She felt she was choking, "You ruined my scholarship!" Was the last thing she heard before blacking out with another blow to the head.

She must have only been out for a couple of seconds, no more than a couple minutes, but the amount of time she did not know. She awoke with her head pounding, she felt blood dripping down her face. "Who do you think you are?!" The girl attacking her shrieked, as a black figure grabbed the girl's wrist, twisting it behind her back. Enough to make it hurt, but enough to not look like he was hurting the girl.

"Get lost," he growled. Pushing the girl away from Levy. She quickly ran into the girls locker room. Levy now staring up into her savior's eyes, he made a couple steps before leaning down to touch the open wound on her face. "You okay shrimp."

She flinched to his touch and gasped for air. Still trying to regain her consciousness, still trying to calm down. She did not remember responding as he carried her to the athletics nurse stationed on the football field. He sat her down on the bed and walked out of the room without ever looking back.

A week later after her medical suspension she returned back to school. She still suffered from headaches as she got a concussion, and she still had a scab on her face from the cut. She was nervous to return because the rumors could be spreading and she didn't want anyone to ask what happened. She herself really would not know what happened.

At lunch she made her way to her go to spot in the library. On the second floor tucked behind the bookshelves sat a table, and some office chairs. Unlike any other time when she approached the table it was not empty. There sat a smaller, slimmer, less muscular, no tattoos and some piercings Gajeel. His head down on the table, he looked to be sleeping. Arms as his pillow, his hair spread like a wildfire across the table, down his back, and over his shoulders.

Why was he here? She pulled a chair from the table and sat down. Placing her back pack on the floor. He lifted his head, and glanced at her. Then placed it back down. "What are you doing here," she whispered.

"Am I not allowed to sit here?" He replied. The rest of lunch they sat in silence. He slept, she read.

Soon enough they sat there everyday. Together, they chatted and shared food, and notes. Levy had noticed Gajeel had failed the first semester of English and was going to fail the second. So she spent a lot of time tutoring Gajeel and helping him with his classes. And amazingly he was eager to learn. So why did he struggle in his classes?

Three photos to be exact that were in her room. Two were exactly at that library table. It was junior year, and they both had finals. Crunching down the textbooks, the librarian took a photo of them studying. The next day was a photo of them sleeping both heads down burnt out from all the studying. The final photo was of the English class she had shared with Gajeel in her senior year. It happened to be the same teacher as their freshman year teacher. They had been dating for some time now, so as the class gathered to stand in rows, the shorter people in front and taller people in back, Gajeel had wrapped one arm around Levy's shoulders placing his chin on top of her head. He smiled so widely. That photo impacted her the most. His smile. It was this idea of happiness, something she has yet to feel in just about seven years.

"I got them after we graduated, the librarian forgot to give them to me when we were in school." She finished her last few sips in her wine glass, and glanced up at Gajeel. A hump in her throat as she tried to stay strong. "Should I be expecting to see you again?" The warmth of the wine allowed her to push through the anxiety she had about the awnser.

He sighed, it was clear the trust Levy had in him had disappeared. He stared back at the love of his life, her eyes searching for any funny business in his eyes. "If ya want me to, but I'm not sure when I'll be gettin off tomorrow." He tried playing it off as if she was the one wanting to see her again. But he never wanted to leave her side again.

"I can give you my phone number." She accepted she'll never really understand what he was thinking.

"Dont got one." His lips firmly closed shut.

She sighed, grabbing the bowl in front of him and stacking it on her own. "Just knock I guess." Or pick the lock, she thought.

She placed the bowls on the counter, and walked towards the couch. She quickly turned her TV on and played the office. A good show to have on low volume. She tried to push the thoughts away that were eating at her. He was going to disappear in the night as he does. She placed a hand on her face, resting her head into it. She could not handle this again. Her body hurt just thinking of him not returning.

Gajeel came over and took a seat next to her on the couch. His weight shifted the couch where she leaned just a little closer to him. Not fighting the physics she didn't try to hold herself up. She leaned into him, placing her body on his arm. Without another second, Gajeel quickly scooped her up into his lap. He held her tightly, as Levy tried to process how he could just rag doll her around.

Her hands found his chest, her nose in the crook of his neck. She could not control herself. This would be her final plea, no more being pathetic after this. "Please, I beg you don't leave me again. I-I" she stuttered, regretting the weakness she displayed, "I couldn't live without you. This will destroy me if you leave. I will never forgive you!" She pulled herself closer, knees now to her chest, and her face hot as she felt she was losing oxygen buried in his collar bone.

He tightened his grip, both hands finding homes on her body. One under her leg, and the other around her hip. He rubbed his defined cheek bone, on top of her messy hair. "I love you Levy, I wont leave your side ever again." Although they were the words she had always wanted to hear, it was just hard to believe. Faint sounds of the show played, as there was between the pair. Levy could feel underneath her something becoming firm, causing Levy to squirm and become beat red. This was not the time. She tried to squirm to get up, but the man did not release his grip. "Can we just sit like this?" It sounded like he begged, but she stopped trying to escape. It felt odd, knowing he was aroused and not doing something about it. Like putting space between the two.

After some time, Levy could feel the erection had not calmed itself. She was tired, she felt like a train had hit her. Coming down from her high of emotions, she nestled her head out of Gajeel's body. The cool air hitting her face felt refreshing. Gajeel still did not look down, he seemed to have a small tint on his face. "I think I should go to bed." She whispered.

"I am sorry, I don't mean it." He spoke about the elephant in the room. She sighed, trying to stand, she had no response. He guided her legs to the edge of the couch, her feet gently touching the carpet.

"You can stay in my guest bedroom, but the bed is small because I use that room as my office as well." She glanced, turning towards Gajeel. Imagining him in a twin bed was humores. But she was not going to give her comfy, specifically for her queen bed. "I typically don't have guests." She mumbled.

His hands found themselves on Levy's hips, almost as if it was natural. His face was neutral, almost at peace. He slowly sat up from the couch, Levy's heart beat like a butterfly. His body leaned down to her height. His face only a couple centimeters from her own. But he moved no closer. Levy, following her instincts, the addict in her kissed him.

For the first time in seven years, Levy was brought into tasting the iron tasting chapped lips. It was a soft kiss, a very romantic, non sexually charged kiss. Which was unlike the ones they shared in highschool with their crazy hormones. Pulling away, Levy felt her breath was taken away. He straightened and started heading down the hall.

She could only assume he knew where the guest bedroom was, he knew where her vacuum was. He had spent more time in the apartment than either of them would be comfortable to talk about. So instead, Levy followed down the hall and stopped in the restroom.

The restroom had checkered floors, and green walls. She had white countertops, and she turned the sink on. She began to brush her teeth, as she stared back into the mirror. Her hair long enough it reached past her collarbone. She still looked like a mess. Not only were the dark circles under her eyes, her face was swollen. She felt guilty. But she also felt amazing. She moved on to washing her face. Using cold water to hopefully cure her swollen under eyes.

My birthday huh? She thought to herself, would he be there? Would the family she built for herself in Magnolia accept him? She grimicases thinking back to Gray's general distaste for the man. How much he had tried to help her.

Sighing who could she kid, would he really be here in a couple weeks? She was being delusional. She pat dried her face, and walked back to the kitchen to grab her phone from her purse. She double checked the door was locked, although would that stop all intruders, no. And clicked the kitchen light off.

In the dark she followed the light down the hall to her room. Gajeels bedroom door was closed. Which felt odd, typically the bedroom door was always opened. She then entered her own room, taking a glance at the huge red stain at the doorway of her sand colored carpet. Snapping the light of to now give that another second, she closed her door, and threw herself on her bed. Setting her alarms, she was excited tomorrow was Friday. It had felt like a long week, with her night at Lucys, and then today. She opened her phone, and pulled Lucy's blue text messages up. She wanted to tell Lucy. But she did not want to worry her.

She began to type, "Gajeel showed up." as quickly as she typed it, she held her thumb down, deleting the sentence. "I am feeling better today." A follow up, a check in, a lie, and too cryptic. Again wiping the slate clean, she stared. What does she tell Lucy? She wants to share her day with her closest friend. But how?
