Hayate had had enough of his parents' neglect and ignorance to last many lifetimes and decided enough was enough, so he ran away because he parents were such degenerates. If they were so stupid, how did they get this far in life? Ever since Hayate was a child, he essentially became the breadwinner of the house, only to be handed the short end of the stick. Since the police were of no help to him, he had to fend for himself as always.

Now, Nagi, the rich girl, was kind enough to pay off the debt, but at a price: his servitude. He had spent years paying back the debt and had many breakdowns which resulted in him catching bad fevers and near death exhaustion. So what was the upside to all of this madness? Why, getting to be around cute girls of course! Even though he was far from rich, he had the makings of a perfect harem and he was going to take full advantage of their abilities.

Nagi was the only one to bring his parents down to the true dregs of society by shoving them where they could pay their son back every yen with their own two hands, well, at least the mother. His father was nowhere to be found.

"Just kill me already, haven't I suffered enough?" Hayate's mother pleaded to the men.

"Say you're sorry and we'll see where that goes." One of them said.

"Never; Hayate got what he deserved for trusting me to take care of him!"

"Well, Hayate? Your call."

"Hayate? Where is he?"

He walked toward her and said, "Right here and I heard enough. Make her pay every last yen for my childhood wasted."

"Granted." They leered at his mother who screamed and said, "No, get away!"

After the damage was done, the mother wept as her body was aching from manual labor, cursing all the while.

Hayate was finally free from his parents and he had Nagi as his wife years later, regardless of his harem. She said he could still be in contact with the other girls and all was well.

He also got a Game Boy like he wanted all those years ago.

"I was foolish to believe in Santa when I was younger. If you want something, you have to work for it and that advice served me well. Thank you for showing me kindness when no one else would. I love you so much."

"You're welcome, Hayate. I love you too."

The End
