Against a dark, star-filled background, there was a narration.

"This is the universe. I work here. Name's Lightyear, Buzz Lightyear. I'm a space ranger." said the voice of Tim Allen. "My partner Warp Darkmatter and I work out of Star Command's Universe Protection Unit. At 0800 hours, the report came in."

The screen displayed a red "Mission Assignment" warning, then showed three of the aliens from Pizza Planet circled.

"Missing: Three Little Green Men. Last seen: Star Command Science Bay," explained a female computer voice. "Alpha mission objective: Locate LGMs A.S.A.P."

"We'll find and rescue these Little Green Men... Even if we must go to infinity... And beyond." Buzz's voice declared as the camera panned down to show a purple planet.

The planet was known as the Zeta Quadrant to an uncharted moon. Purple smoke foomed everywhere as Buzz was in position, right next to the ship as he began his job as a Space Ranger.

"Buzz Lightyear mission log," The Space Ranger reported as he turned on his hologram projector from his wrist communicator to show the missing LGMs. "We've searched this gaseous planetoid from top to bottom with no sign of the missing personnel."

"I don't see the LGMs anywhere," Maximus said as he appeared to be with LJ and Akito in their own spacesuits before looking up at them. "Have you seen them?"

"Nope, haven't seen them." Akito replied.

"Looks like I have some new company." Buzz said once he saw the boys.

"Pretty much, bright eyes," LJ replied. "But no problem, we should be able to retrieve the little fellows. It's not like they'll blend in with the planet's surface."

"Hmm... I'm not sure since you're not authorized..." Buzz replied thoughtfully.

Eventually, a bright light shot out which startled them all.

"Hey! What the heck, man?!" Akito complained from the bright light.

"Come on, buddy," Buzz's partner, Warp Darkmatter, was soon shown, riding in a space buggy. "Nobody ever reads those reports."

"Warp, my friend, procedure is what separates us from the wicked forces of chaos." Buzz smiled as he appeared Warp as goggles suddenly appeared onto his face.

"Ah, Buzz," Warp sighed from that. "If it means less paperwork, I'll take chaos."

"Well, I for one would take adventure." Akito smirked eagerly.

"Me too!" Maximus added.

"And me makes three!" LJ declared.

Warp climbed back into the driver's side of the buggy and strapped on his seat belt. "Oh, man; give it up, partner. This rock's as dead as it looks!"

"Never judge a moon by its crater," Buzz replied, retracting his goggles. "We'd better double-check the dark side."

"I'll drive." Warp declared.

"Aww... I wanna drive..." Maximus pouted.

"Maybe when you get older." Akito suggested as Maximus was only five.

Warp then drove the space buggy through the planet. As he drove, the buggy flew off the ramp, and as it fell, three LGMs popped out of the tarp in the backseat and scream from behind Akito, Buzz, LJ, Maximus, and Warp. Then the buggy landed and Warp stopped the buggy.

"What the-?!" Akito gasped from that.

Warp took a look before smirking as he checked out the hologram projector from his wrist communicator. "Well, mission accomplished," he then told the others. "Three LGMs disappeared, we just found three LGMs.

"Well, I don't think these are the three missing Little Green Men." Buzz replied as he took a look at the image.

"Sure, not anymore." Warp shrugged innocently as he deactivated the hologram.

"I'm afraid these three are stowaways," Buzz said as the LGMs disembarked out of the space buggy and wandered off. "Ah, blast! This won't look good in my report..." he muttered, before taking notice. "Hey!"

"There they go!" LJ exclaimed. "After them!"

"Must save the lost ones!" chorused the small alien trio, but Warp ran over and stopped them.

"Whoa, whoa, whoa. We'll find your amigos, boys. Just not here." he explained.

"Here!" the aliens exclaimed.

"How can you be so sure?" asked Buzz.

"Mind link." announced the aliens.

"Oh, come on..." Warp grumbled, as the LGM's antennae began to wiggle.

"Evil!" they shouted.

"Now you're just trying to freak us out..." Warp remarked.

Buzz's eyes widened in dramatic shock. "No, it's my worst fear come true..." he rationalized.

Warp rolled his eyes. "Here we go..."

"This diabolical plot could only be the work of the sworn enemy of the Galactic Alliance, Evil Emperor Zurg!" declared Buzz.

"...WHAT PLOT?!" shouted Warp. "You think Zurg is behind every kitten stuck up a tree!"

"The fiend!" Buzz exclaimed. "Why can't he leave kitty cats out of his nefarious schemes?"

"All I know is we searched half of the Zeta Quadrant to find the LGMs and what do we find?" Warp shouted. "A lot of nothing!"

Maximus let out a small gasp as something emerged from the smoke right behind Warp. Buzz also looked scared for his partner.

"There's something really bad behind me, isn't there?" Warp asked nervously without looking.

A snake-like monster was shown as it roared as it was about to attack Warp.

"Crater viper! Look out!" Buzz called out before he tackled down Warp, Akito, LJ, and Maximus before they all tumbled down the mountain and then Buzz and Warp got up and aimed their wrist lasers at the crater vipers.

"Crater Vipers never hunt in packs." Buzz remarked.

"Tell them that!" Warp retorted.

Buzz and Warp soon began to shoot lasers at the monster.

"How good is your aim?" Akito asked LJ.

"It varies." LJ replied.

"Well, you can try to help out now." Akito told LJ as he gave him a laser gun.

Maximus had his own as he shot the lasers at the crater vipers the best he could with Buzz and Warp, looking psyched to be doing this with his childhood hero. LJ aimed and fired a few times, getting in some spare shots, while most of them missed.

"Looks like the moon's not so dead after all!" Buzz exclaimed, as he and the others kept shooting, while the LGMs toddled past.

"Gimme a minute... And it will be." Warp declared.

A crater viper crashes behind the LGMs as they continue wandering off.

"The lost ones!" The LGMs called out as they wandered past.

"What are you doing?" Buzz asked as he ducked under a swinging arm.

"This way." The LGMs replied as they followed each other.

"Careful!" Maximus cried out to the LGMs.

"They seem to know what they're doing." Akito replied as he kept on shooting with his own laser gun.

"It doesn't mean we shouldn't try and keep them out of harm's way!" LJ added as he fired some shots of his own, though one of his shots ricocheted off the ground and struck one of the crater vipers in the underbelly, making it screech in pain.

"Heh! Not bad." Akito smirked from the shot.

Buzz took note of that before he called out to his official partner. "Warp, hit 'em from below!"

"Soft underbellies, eh?" Warp remarked as he pressed the big red circle on the right side of his spacesuit and activated his jetpack. He then flew up and a crater viper was about to bite him, but missed as he pressed his icon and pulled out a bazooka. "Let's see how ticklish."

"Careful!" Akito warned as he shot some vipers then tried to eat him next. "Eat laser, viper scum!"

"I should've guessed!" Buzz then said as a rock opened its mouth and one eye, and it was revealed that the crater vipers were actually its fingers. "A crater viper slag monster mutant!"

"Oh, no!" Maximus panicked as he saw something else. "The LGMs!"

"Must save the lost ones!" The aliens droned, even as they walked towards the monstrous creature.

Fortunately, the kids were able to grab them out of harm's way.

"Have any reason you were looking to shake hands with a beast from 20,000 craters?" LJ asked as he set them down.

The LGMs walked to the edge of a cliff, and as Buzz and Warp followed them, they pointed to the monster mutant as Buzz and Warp looked down. "The lost ones are there!" they chorused.

"Oh, well, then I'd say they're the dead ones now." Warp replied.

"Subtle." Akito deadpanned.

"What? For all we know, it could be true," Warp defended. "Let's get out of here."

Buzz looked like he was about to call it quits.

"Mr. Lightyear, you can't give up." Maximus told his favorite hero.

"You're right," Buzz had to agree. "I'm going in! Follow my lead!" he then told Warp as they took off on their jet packs.

"I hope you have a plan!" Warp replied as he took off after Buzz.

"No more so than usual." Buzz told him.

"Buzz Lightyear must never give up," Maximus stated bravely. "He'll save the world! The galaxy! The girls!" he then paused thoughtfully. "Speaking of which... Where are the girls?"

"Knowing adventures like this, they're with that one girl from the show." Akito said to himself.

"You mean the main one," LJ replied. "Although for what it's worth, I was wondering about that myself."

"You'll get used to it, but this happens sometimes," Akito told Maximus and LJ. "Sometimes the girls go with the girls we have to help, and then the boys go with the guys that need help. That's probably where they are."

"I promised Mom, Dad, and Ixta I'd take care of Maxima whenever something happens." Maximus pouted.

"Don't worry about it," Akito smiled. "We'll find her and our sisters. I promise you."

"Yeah, no problem," LJ agreed. "But we can find them as soon as we deal with this current stuff."

"Hmm... Okay..." Maximus pouted a little bit.

LJ and Akito then smiled to help him cheer up while Buzz and Warp took care of the monster problem. Buzz soon pushed a button which shot out two grappling cables and tangled the monster in the cables.

"Now what?" Warp asked as he soon did the same.

"Full throttle!" Buzz called out as he pushed the next button on his spacesuit and started to fly at twice the speed of his jetpack. "Hit it!"

Buzz and Warp soon flew together and the monster watched them fly up as its fingers were getting raised up as well. The LGMs then walked away from the edge in another shot as the crater vipers were choking, but Buzz and Warp were also struggling to fly further up. The monster mutant then started growling, and rocks began to crumble underneath.

"I gotta watch this show." Akito said, making a mental note to himself.

"The lost ones aren't in it..." Buzz exclaimed, as the monster mutant was lifted off the ground a bit to reveal part of a hideout. "They're under it! Not... Enough... Power!" he then glanced upwards, his gaze landing at the top of a rocky mountain, with a flat edge. "Alright, new plan!"

The boys aimed their wrists at the bottom of the flat edge and fired their lasers at it. The result was the rocks being broken off and falling, right onto the mutant's head, crushing it flat.

"That was your plan?" asked Warp.

"...Most of it," Buzz replied. "Where are the LGMs?"

"Take a guess." LJ stated.

"...Zurg!" The alien trio exclaimed.

Buzz's shock turned to a hardened glare. "I knew it!" he growled.

"This is not good." Maximus glared.

"Zurg is the bad guy, right?" Akito asked.

"Yeah!" Maximus replied. "That jerk!"

They soon left and went to go to a new plan to break in to stop Zurg.

Buzz used his laser to melt the door with no success. "Blast! Laser-resistant diabonic alloy." he then complained.

"Maybe I should try." Akito smirked as he charged up his laser eyes.

"Ahp-bap-bup," Warp said, strolling over to the door. "Why use brawn when you can use the brain?" He cleverly pressed his back against the wall and knocked on the door, waiting for it to open behind him.

One of Zurg's sub-subordinates, a Grub, opened the door. "Yes?" it asked.

Warp slammed the door, sending the Grub flying and crashing off-screen. Warp opened the door again, allowing Buzz and the others to pass. "After you," he smirked.

Akito glanced at Warp, but shrugged as he walked along. He wasn't sure why, but he felt like he couldn't really trust this guy.

"So tell me," Buzz said to Akito, LJ, and Maximus. "Who are you and what are you doing here?"

"I'm Akito Fudo," Akito replied. "That's my cousin Lionel Schwartz Jr, but we call him LJ, and that's Maximus. We're, uh, sorta babysitting him." he then explained.

"If you're babysitting then, maybe you should get back in the ship and wait." Buzz suggested.

"What? No!" Maximus cried out. "You can trust us, Mr. Lightyear! Especially LJ and Akito, my parents really trust them!"

"You're just children." Buzz replied.

"Maybe, but we are plenty capable of handling ourselves when it comes to danger," LJ replied. "I haven't seen little Max in action very much, so the jury's still out on that, but my point still stands."

"You can trust us, Mr. Lightyear," Akito reassured him. "Even if it probably violates a code."

"Hmm..." Buzz paused thoughtfully. "I guess you were pretty impressive back during that crater viper fight... But just stay sharp and be very careful, I don't want to be responsible for the loss of innocent children."

"We promise." The three boys promised.

The LGMs soon began to join after them.

"Excuse us."

"Coming through."

"Get back on the ship and wait." Buzz told the aliens.

"No!"

"Now, I know this is personal to you, but I must insist..."

"No!"

"Oh okay, we're getting into a chain of command area, so really..."

Just then, all three of the LGMs began to clutch their skulls in agony. "We feel the pain! Oh...!" they cried out.

"Whoa, oh, oh, alright..." Buzz replied, before turning to Warp. "It's their mind link thing."

"How do you do that anyway?" asked Warp.

"The Uni-Mind." the trio exclaimed.

"I get it..." LJ replied. "It's like their species is one big hive-mind. So if one gets hurt, the others feel it!"

"That makes sense." Akito nodded from that.

"Uni-Mind?" Warp soon asked.

"Like that one kid said, the mystical orb that links all of LGM-kind," Buzz clarified. "It's on their homeworld, of course, that's need to know classified."

"I'm your partner, I need to know." Warp replied as he and Buzz began to warm up their lasers.

"Now you do?" Buzz asked.

"Anything else I should know?" Warp then asked.

"No, I'd say you're up to speed." Buzz told him.

"Okay, thank you." Warp nodded from that.

"All right," Maximus said as he cocked his new laser gun. "Let's get into position, fellas."

"All right, Maximus." Akito saluted with a small chuckle as that sounded cute from a five-year-old boy.

The fiendish Emperor Zurg had three other LGMs strapped to chairs. "Tell me your mind link! Tell me your secret!" he scowled.

"Never!" The LGMs replied.

"Oh? Then I'll just have to pick your brains," chuckled Zurg. "Where's my Cranial Dissect-a-bot?" he shouted, as said robot appeared, getting ready to possibly lobotomize the aliens, but fortunately, it was blown up by a laser blast.

"Not so fast, Zurg!" Maximus glared as he and the others broke through the wall.

"Lightyear... And some friends of yours." Zurg greeted.

"Evil Emperor Zurg, by the authority of the Galactic Alliance, you are hereby charged for dissection of Star Command personnel." Buzz glared at his worst enemy.

"Yeah, your reign of terror is over!" Akito added sharply.

"I shall destroy your Galactic Alliance," Zurg retorted before he soon signaled some helpers. "But first, I shall destroy you!

Yellow robots soon fell from the ceiling from Zurg's command.

"Well, not personally," Zurg then smirked. "Hornets, destroy Buzz Lightyear!"

The Hornets stood up and their arms morphed into machine guns, before they started shooting all over the room. Buzz tried shooting a few off-screen Hornets, and as the battle rages on, Zurg got onto a platform that lifted him to the ceiling as his exit.

"Prepare to die, Buzz Lightyear!" Zurg laughed as he was airlifted out.

"Not today, Zurg!" Buzz declared angrily.

"So cool!" Maximus gushed like a fanboy.

Akito, LJ, and Maximus began to help out as they shot their laser guns at the Hornets. A few shots soon came out though and freed the trapped LGMs from their bondages.

"Let's get you guys out of here," Akito told the LGMs. "LJ, Maximus, join hands with me."

Buzz soon took the LGMs as he took off with them with his jetpack before Akito began to fly off with LJ and Maximus.

"Whoa...!" LJ yelped as they were flown away.

"Back-up?" asked Warp, riding the platform down and crushing some Hornets underneath.

Buzz flew down and deactivated his pack. "Always a pleasure. Let's go after Zurg!" he declared.

Just then, a TV screen popped up, revealing Zurg's ugly mug. "Not today, Lightyear!" he exclaimed. "For I started the self-destruct sequence on my way out. It is a moon of doom now!" and he let off an evil laugh.

"Self-destruct in 60 seconds." said a computer voice.

"60 seconds?" asked Buzz.

"All the time in the world." Warp replied confidently.

"What?!" Akito replied. "60 seconds isn't a lot of time, even with my super-speed!"

The Hornets began to fire back at them.

"Uh-oh!" The LGMs panicked from that.

Warp and Buzz soon shot back at the Hornets which made them instantly explode and be destroyed.

"Get to the ship, blast off!" Buzz told the LGMs, Akito, LJ, and Maximus.

"Buzz!" The LGMs panicked for the brave Space Ranger.

"That's an order! We'll meet you in orbit!" Buzz yelled. Without hesitation, all 6 LGMs, children in tow, evacuated and headed back to the ship as ordered.

"Self-destruct in 45 seconds." said the computer voice.

"Farewell, Lightyear! This time you shall not escape!" Zurg laughed, before Buzz fried the screen with his laser.

"Just watch me, Zurg!" Buzz retorted.

Buzz and Warp continued shooting the Hornets, and one of them actually damaged the power supply, causing the hideout to catch fire. Before they could even blink, the room started to collapse.

Buzz jumped out of the way of one explosion and blasted a falling pillar with his laser. "Come on, Warp! It's time to blow this rock!" he called to his partner, but he didn't see him.

There was soon a cry out of pain.

"That didn't sound so good." Akito said in concern.

Warp was soon shown to be been crushed by the debris and Buzz tried to get Warp out by lifting up the debris.

"Self-destruct in 10 seconds." The PA continued in the background.

"Get out of here!" Warp told Buzz.

"No!" Buzz cried out as he tried to pull Warp out of the debris.

"Let go!" Warp told his partner.

"We're partners!" Buzz frowned with five seconds left.

"I said 'go'!" Warp told him as he pushed the jetpack button for Buzz which sent his partner flying out into orbit.

"WARP!" Buzz cried as he then tried to fly back to his partner, but time had run out as it was too late to save him.

KABOOM! Buzz could only gaze on, horrified, as he knew his partner was gone forever. Akito, LJ, and Maximus each bowed their heads as this was a sad day for the Space Ranger they came to know.

At Star Command, everyone gathered together, such as fellow other Space Rangers as Buzz had an important speech to make as Warp Darkmatter was no longer with them. "Space Ranger Warp Darkmatter sacrificed himself for the success of his mission. For the safety of his fellows. I... Miss him very much," he soon said lowly and sadly and even had to delete Warp's name off of his locker since he wouldn't need it anymore. "Buzz Lightyear personal log. In his crazed attempt to destroy me, Zurg has robbed the universe of a good man. My partner. My friend. On this day I vow no ranger will ever again fall in harm's way because of me. I work... Alone."

LJ sighed. "Well, Day 1... Utter failure."

"Maybe I should've gone back to help Warp," Akito frowned. "Maybe then he would've still been alive."

"But what about you?" Maximus asked. "Would you get hurt?"

"Probably not." Akito replied softly.

"Not much we could've done," LJ told him. "Apparently this is how the story is meant to play out. Sometimes, sacrifices must be made... Even if you don't like it."

"So you could've helped?" Maximus asked.

"Trust us, Max, you'll get used to this," Akito told him. "Plus, I have a feeling that we'll find our sisters sooner than we think."
