Chapter 3
Alice just smiled at her friends. It was History of Magic, the most boring class in Hogwarts. She smirked as she spotted Bo and Gen. They were asleep as Professor Binns was lecturing about some war, as usual. Lily was taking notes in a forceful way, and Sarah was scribbling on a piece of parchment. Soon, a scrunched piece of parchment reached to Alice's desk. Opening it, she looked at the Professor just to make sure he wasn't looking at her.
'Do you think I should invite Greg to the dance?
Sarah.'
Greg was Sarah's boyfriend since the summer vacation. He studied at Durmstrang, another magical school. Alice smiled at her and nodded. Sarah smiled back and went back to taking notes.
"That was the MOST boring class ever!" Genevieve screamed in the corridor.
Lily sighed. "You were sleeping the whole bloody class!"
"It's not my fault it's boring." Genevieve grunted.
Changing the subject, Bo asked. "Who are you going with to the dance?"
"Well, I think I'll ask Greg to come to Hogwarts" Sarah smiled.
"I'm going with Frank" Alice grinned.
"Lils? Bo?" Sarah asked them.
"Well, I'm going with Amos" Gen smiled.
"We don't have dates" Bo said nodding to Lily's direction.
"We can go together!" Lily grinned as she and Bo linked arms with the others and skipped the way to Potions.
Potions class. Professor Slughorn always partnered James and Lily together. James was thrilled to be next to her, while Lily cursed under her breath. But secretly, she was just as thrilled as he was. Watching him, she smiled. His hazel eyes were glinting with determination and his untidy hair was making its presence. His licked his pink lips and grinned at the staring Lily. Lily, startled, just smiled at him.
"Did you just smile at me, Evans?" James was grinning like mad.
"Why, yes I did." James just cleared his throat as Slughorn looked at them.
"Would you like to go to the dance with me?" James thought about what he had just said to her.
"Why am I even asking you? You'll just reject me." James went on until Lily said something that surprised them both.
"James, I'll go with you." James looked stunned, but grinned at her and at the other Marauders as they gave him the thumbs up.
After a long day of classes, The Marauders were at the Great Hall, eating dinner. James and Sirius were watching the Slytherin table intently. A greasy haired boy was eating silently until he started to dance the "funky chicken" in front of everyone, Along with Crabbe and Goyle, two other Slytherins. The students were laughing very hard, but the Marauders were laughing the hardest. Even "The Pink Ladies" were laughing. Lily cracked a smile at the boy's prank. The others had tears formed in their eyes from laughing. Sirius looked at Bo as she laughed like crazy. Bo looked back at him. 'I can't like him, even though Remus told me that he loves me', she dismissed that thought. Breaking the connection, Bo calmed down from laughing and continued to eat with the girls. Sirius sighed.
A seventh year Ravenclaw, with bright green eyes and brown shaggy hair, walked to Bo's direction. "Hey there Bo." He smiled at her as Sirius gave him a death glare.
"H-hi" Bo stuttered.
"I was wondering maybe you'd like to go with me to the dance" she blushed and said yes. Smiling, the boy returned to his friends.
"Oh my bloody god! You are going to the dance with Chris bloody Anderson!" Genevieve, being the loud girl she was, hollered.
"Who is?" Remus asked her.
"Bo is." Gen smiled as Remus looked worriedly at Sirius.
