Party Members Wanted!
Level 11 Berserker looking for party members that can handle me, must have either a Advanced Class or be a very high level.
I am hard to control when I enter a Blood Rage, and you will need to either keep up or be able to deal out massive amounts of damage.
Arch-Wizard, Arch-Priest, Crusader, Thief, or Paladin preferred.
Also, I have a Negative Luck stat, so whatever Quest I take you on will go wrong, or something very unlucky will happen. Just a fair warning, bad things will happen around me, and they will effect my party members as well.
So those with high Luck stats are encouraged to apply.

"You... you don't expect anyone to actually apply for this, do you?" Luna, the front counter girl, asked as she looked at the Quest board that Naruto put his notice on. Berserkers were a very wanted class to party with, sure, but Naruto was being WAY too honest with what he was saying about himself. Most people would, smartly, keep the luck thing on the down low or they would hide the fact that they could turn on the party.

Naruto held an Advanced Class, so there was no problem with him requesting either higher level people or advanced classes, but the problem was he was very specific about the classes. He picked the classes that could deal with him the best.

Naruto also had a 100% Quest success rate.

He had yet to fail a Quest, even when he went out with newbie parties for the first time. He ended up using most of the money he earned from his Quests to pay for new armor and equipment though. So he was still living in the stables with the horses and other poor adventurers.

True, he had only gone on 8 Quests as of now, but doing your first 8 quests and not failing a single one of them was somewhat rare. Usually somebody would mess up and fail a quest, even more so the simple ones by gathering something wrong, or taking out the wrong monster... or losing a party member.

"Not really, but I would rather fail and be honest, than get somebody by lying." Naruto crossed his arms as he sat at the bar. He had standards, and if somebody couldn't accept being in his party despite his flaws, then he didn't want to trick them into the role. "I even picked out a simple gathering Quest to test anyone who comes." Naruto stated with a glint in his eye.

Gathering moss from a nearby lake, a moss that is used in medicines. The lake was scheduled to be purified since monsters had started to live in it, but the moss that was currently growing in that lake could be used to cure indigestion... not something that was worth risking your life for, so nobody would ever take the quest if they were in their right mind.

"You are being too honest though, these are things you could have just mentioned after they contacted you. You didn't have to scare party members away." Luna stated as she grabbed Naruto's drink, he was just drinking water since he didn't want to drink booze, and she looked at his meager amount of food that he had already finished.

He was not doing good on money.

The Path of the Berserker was one that provided a TON of strength boosts, but it did not make for a lot of money coming your way. Since they had almost no skills that could be used outside of battle to make some money. It was either slay monsters or do quests for money, and nothing much else.

"Hello, are you the guy who is looking for an Arch-Wizard?"

"See, Luna-chan... yes, I'm am Naruto Uzumaki, the Berserker needing a party. Want to introduce yourself?" Naruto looked over the girl. She was a year or two younger than him at most, a petite girl with little on her other than some very small amount of muscle, and almost no fat anywhere. Kind of sad, because she was super pretty, and some breasts bigger than what she had would only enhance her natural pretty look. Feminine short brown hair and burning red eyes, one of which was covered by an eyepatch, wearing a spooky wizard hat and a short red dress that attempted to show off cleavage she didn't have.

Cute, but she didn't seem very impressive.

"My name is Megumin! My calling is that of an arch wizard, one who controls explosion magic, the strongest of all offensive magic! I see you are a man who can stare into the abyss, but if I join your party, the abyss will stare back!" Megumin shouted and struck a pose. Luna looked at Naruto, expecting him to instantly turn the girl away.

Naruto didn't look impressed, and that was accurate, because he wasn't impressed by the girl from her impression at least.

"I'm a Berserker who enters Blood Rages, and I need somebody with a very powerful magic to snap me back to normal so I don't accidentally kill my party members. Do you think you're up to the task?" Naruto stood up. He didn't have any money left for the most part, so he would need to take a quest, but to do that he would need to know if he could trust this girl with protecting her own life from him.

She grinned.

"I only use the most powerful of all magics, Explosion, I'm sure that I can do what is needed to snap you back to normal, if anything, my magic might be too powerful. That is why I wear this eyepatch, to keep my magic sealed off-"

"Liar, but lets test this magic... lets leave the city and you can fire off an Explosion at me." Naruto started to walk out of the guild.

Megumin smiled brightly.

"Yes! That sounds like a great plan!" Megumin would be more than happy to give him a live demonstration of her magic.

-Later-

"This seems far enough... now hit me with your absolute best explosion, don't worry, I can take it." Naruto stated to her. He had his arms crossed. In his Blood Rage, he took even more damage from magical attacks, so if she could do enough damage to him as he was now, then she would be able to manage to do what was needed when he raged.

Megumin removed her eyepatch and pointed her staff at Naruto.

"From within the darkest abyss and the brightest stars of the night, from within my body, I gather a powerful magic that reigns supreme-" Megumin started to gather enourmous magic at the tip of her staff, and huge magic circles started to appear around and above Naruto. He whistled, since he was impressed by what he could feel so far.

'This is going to hurt a lot.' Naruto had a grin on his face.

"-I seek a path of untold destruction and mayhem, so come forth and show your might! EXPLOSION!"

Pain, suffering, agony, as an explosion so big ripped through the area and cleared out some of the clouds above the explosion. Naruto felt all of that and more as more than half of his body was destroyed by the explosion.

*Thuds*

Naruto and Megumin both collapsed forward, with Megumin sliding down on the grass towards him. Naruto's body was already healing itself from the damage that he had just gotten, but it would take him a minute or two to finish his regeneration of over half of his body.

"... How was that?" Megumin asked, face down in the grass.

Naruto needed to wait to a moment for his jaw to heal back, but when it did, Naruto got up and dusted himself off.

"You more than pass... did you put too much power in that explosion?" Naruto asked, since she was absolutely drained of magic. She had none of it left in her body, so it would seem that was the best explosion that she could muster.

Megumin paused.

"I can only fire a single explosion a day, I won't be able to move for about a hour at least while I regain the minimum of magic to move. I put all of my points into making the biggest explosion possible!" Megumin shouted proudly. "All of this power can be yours, just for the price of food expenses and glory!" Megumin added on.

No wonder nobody wanted her.

She could only use one spell, once a day, and it caused massive amounts of damage so she could only use it in wide open areas so as to not kill her party or destroy large amounts of property.

He wanted her.

"Welcome to the party Megumin, I'm going to want you to use that explosion on me whenever I go nuts. As I grow stronger, I'm going to need you to make your explosions even stronger too, so you can keep me under control." Naruto stated with a thumbs up to Megumin. She turned her head up and looked at him with her eyes absolutely sparkling with joy.

"Really!?"

"Really, really! Of course, in a Blood Rage, I'm not going to be standing still waiting for it... so we still need somebody strong enough to hold me down and tank your explosion... so lets go see if we can't find a Crusader or Paladin." Naruto picked Megumin up princess style and began to carry her towards the city. "We can go on a quest later tomorrow to get food money." Naruto stated.

Megumin grinned.

"You enjoyed getting hit-"

"Absolutely not, I hated every second of that pain and agony, but with my horrible luck, anything that I can't kill with punches and blood rage, would need something of that power to kill anyway. I don't like pain, I'm more of a sadist than masochist." Naruto waved her statement off.

Naruto blinked for a moment when he felt a disturbance, but he felt extremely excited for some reason, as if somehow something great had just happened to him.

It was as if somebody, somewhere, had just made sure that Aqua was going to suffer.

He didn't know it, but Aqua was a lot closer than he thought.
