Hey! So, this is one of my old fairy tail fanfics. I wrote this years ago and used to have it published on other platforms. This year, I decided to share it here too, and since it was so old, I improved it. The story is the same, I just changed some sentences/grammar.

Anyway, this will be a countdown. Each day, I will post a new chapter, focusing on one character and their quest to find the perfect gift. I opted to choose not so obvious pairs, to make it more fun. Hope you stay with me through the end of this journey!

It was the middle of December and the holidays' spirit had already reached the Fairy Tail Guild. On the inside, every corner was decorated with red and green ornaments, illuminated by bright yellow lights and the snow outside set the perfect Christmasy environment.

"I barely had money to pay my rent this month! How I'm I supposed to buy presents for everyone here?!" Lucy complained, sitting on the stool at the bar, as she contemplated the decoration around her.

She loved the Christmas spirit and trading gifts with her friends. But she had too many friends and not enough money. Fortunately, the bartender heard her.

"So Lucy, I heard you complain about presents?" – Mirajane asked, as she turned her head towards Lucy with two mugs in her hands.

"That's right Mira! I wish there was a way to not have to give presents to everyone this year, without anyone getting upset." – Lucy sighed into the bar table.

Mirajane thought for a moment before a smile appeared on her face. The look she gave lucy told her she had something in mind.

"What are you thinking Mira?" Lucy asked curiously.

"I think I had an idea..."

After some discussion, Mira managed to gather everyone around her. Once she had everyone's full attention, she started to speak:

"Hello everybody!" – She greated with a smile. "This year we will have a different Christmas! Instead of getting gifts for everyone, we will do a "game" called Secret fairy!" She then, started to explain the game.

"For this game, Cana will use her cards to make random pairings, making sure no one gets his own name. You will have to buy a present only for the person whose name is on the card you get. The gifts will be exchanged on Christmas day and until then, everyone should keep their cards a secret!"

After Mira assured that everyone understood the game, Cana started to make the pairings, distributing cards through every guild member. Finally, it was Lucy's turn. But when she looked at the name on her card, she got a little surprised, as she wasn't expecting it at all: Elfman. She remembered he once said he would like to receive manly things. But what did that exactly mean?

"Oh god! What I've put myself into!" she whispered to herself.

But Lucy didn't have much time for thinking about her manly present, because suddenly Juvia started to run in her direction, with an angry expression on her face.

"Love rival! You got Gray-sama card! Juvia knows it's all your fault!" – Juvia exclaimed when she reached her.

"No! I don't! " – Lucy tried to explain, knowing it would not matter to her blue-haired friend.

"But Juvia needs to get Gray-sama card! Juvia would give him the perfect present and then we would..." – Juvia started, her she closed her eyes, with a dreamy expression on her face. Lucy didn't ask more. Only Juvia knew what was happening in her world.

" You know, Gray could have your card! " - Lucy said, trying to cheer Juvia up. Juvia looked at her with a very hopeful face and went again to her imaginary world.

"Poor person that will get a present from her" - Lucy whispered once again, to no one in particular, while moving away from the water mage.

Anyway, she only had two weeks to find out what manly things were, so that night she went to her home trying to figure that out.
