Chapter 11 SARAH WEREWOLF!
The next morning, James and Lily were found sleeping on the common room floor by the fireplace. "Rise and shine, lovers!" Genevieve bellowed. The awakening couple groaned. James threw a nearby cushion at Sirius.
Bo smirked at her red haired friend. "Go upstairs, before the others see you." James and Lily wrapped a blanket on themselves and went to their rooms to get ready for another day of class.
The girls were eating at the Great Hall.
"Now that was quite an interesting morning, Lily." Lily blushed at Genevieve's comment.
"It's about time you lost your virginity." Alice shrieked and hugged a disgruntled Lily. Bo laughed "Leave her alone, Gen. Mine your own-" Bo was cut off by a strong feeling of sickness. She left her stunned friends, and ran to a nearby bathroom.
"I wonder what happened to her. She should see Madame Pomfrey" Lily said.
"She's been sick for a while. When you left yesterday, she ran to the bathroom." Alice said.
Sarah woke up in the Hospital Wing. Her hands and legs were covered with bruises, and she broke two ribs, which she received treatment for early in the morning. She looked at Remus, who slept in a bed, facing her. Natalie, who was placed beside her, was still unconscious. After two hours, Sarah was examined, discharged from the wing and was excused from her lessons today. Entering her room, she heard someone coughing in their bathroom. She knocked on the door.
"Who is it?" She heard Bo's voice.
"It's Sarah. Why aren't you in class? Are you alright?" Bo flushed the toilet and opened the door. Sarah was stunned to see her friend sick and pale.
"Hey." Bo whispered and hugged Sarah.
"Are you okay?" Sarah asked. Bo nodded.
"I'm taking you to Madame Pomfrey." Sarah insisted as Bo shook her head.
"No, I'll be fine. It's just the flu. I'll lie down." She was about to sit, when Sarah grabbed her arm and dragged her out of the room.
"I've never seen you like this, this could be serious. I'm taking you." Bo reluctantly complied.
Bo and Sarah entered the Hospital Wing. Madame Pomfrey took a look at Bo and led them to her office. "I'll do a few tests." Madame Pomfrey said. Bo nodded. After a couple of minutes of testing Bo and collecting data, Madame came out from her lab and sat on her chair.
"When was your last time period?"
"A month ago, I think." Bo remembered she was late. 'Oh Merlin. I can't be…', Bo thought to herself. "You're pregnant, Miss Carter. You should consider the options." Madame Pomfrey confirmed her fears. Tears formed in her eyes. Bo covered her face with her hands, while Sarah rubbed her back. "Thank you." Sarah took Bo out of Madame Pomfrey's office. As soon as Sarah opened the office door, there was a sight she wished she hadn't seen: Remus, sitting by Natalie's bed, and they were kissing. Sarah, stunned, wanted to flee from there. She grabbed Bo's hand and ran out of the wing.
Entering the common room, Sarah sat on a couch, bewildered. Bo was sobbing. "What am I going to do? How will I tell Sirius?" She cried to Sarah.
"Tell me what?" Bo turned to see Sirius standing behind her. Sarah understood that her presence wouldn't do any good and excused herself from the room.
"Sirius." Bo said, surprised.
"Yeah, that's me." Sirius added jokingly.
"What are you doing here? You should be at Potions now."
"I wanted to get something from my trunk." Bo ran her fingers through her hair in distraught.
Sirius noticed her distress "What is it?" He asked. Bo shook her head.
"I'll tell you later."
"But after our lessons, we have Quidditch practice and I'll be back late. What is it?" Sirius inquired.
Bo nodded and looked deep into his eyes "I'm pregnant."
Sirius was shocked. "Are you sure?"
"Of course I'm sure, I went to the Hospital Wing a few minutes ago."
"You mean, you weren't in class?" They had a different lesson in the morning.
Bo scoffed "No. I felt too sick to go today, so Sarah took me to Madame Pomfrey, and she broke the news."
Sirius nodded comprehensively. "What are we going to do?"
Bo cried and shook her head "I don't know."
Sirius hugged her tight. "I'm here, no matter what you choose."
"I know."
Sirius kissed her and said "I have to go back to class, before Slughorn gives me detention." They chuckled. Sirius closed the door after him, leaving Bo alone in the common room. 'What am I going to do?', She thought to herself, while sitting on one of the couches, crying.
Walking to her next class, Lily thought about their night together. She reminisced and smiled. James was by her side. James all of a sudden, pushed Lily against the wall and kissed her. Lily, surprised as she was, kissed him back. Her fingers were in his thick ebony hair, and his hands were on her waist. Breaking the kiss, James panted. Lily opened her eyes. She looked at James' hair and laughed; it was messier than usual. "What is it?" James asked.
"Your hair! I messed it up!" Lily laughed.
James grinned his infamous grin and replied "Don't worry, I'm used to it." There was a pregnant pause.
"Last night was wonderful. Unexpected, but wonderful." Lily blushed at James' comment.
"I hope I didn't hurt you." James said worriedly.
Lily shook her head "You asked me at least siz times if I was alright. I'm fine!" She chuckled. "I've never seen you so worried." Lily continued to say. James put his hands in his pockets
"Well, I worry about you. I don't want to hurt you. I care about you too much." James confessed. Lily wrapped her arms around his waist.
"I worry about you, too. And I never want to hurt you." They kissed.
After classes, at sunset, the Gryffindor Quidditch team was practicing. James noticed that his best friend was troubled with something. Sirius played badly today. 'I have to see what's wrong', James thought. Being the Captain of the team, he ended the practice a few minutes earlier than usual.
"Padfoot!" Sirius ran to James' direction.
"Yeah, Prongs?" James took him aside.
"What's wrong, mate?"
"What do you mean?" Sirius asked.
"Well, let me put it this way: you were shit today, Pads. Something's on your mind. Spit it out."
Sirius sighed "Bo's pregnant."
James was stunned "What? When did she tell you?"
"Today, when I went to the common room."
Sirius, noticing the look on his face, added "I'm surprised as you are. We were careful."
"I guess not careful enough. What are you going to do?"
Sirius shrugged his shoulders. "It's Bo's choice, it's her body and I'll respect whatever she decides." James patted Sirius' shoulder and together they walked back to the castle.
After a pregnant pause, James asked cheekily "Hey, if she's having the baby, can you call him James?" Sirius shoved his friend playfully.
The girls were sitting in their room. "I have some news. I know you noticed that I've been sick lately, and now I know the reason: I'm pregnant." Lily gasped and hugged Bo.
Genevieve asked "What will you do? You'll have to work straight after Hogwarts and find an apartment."
Alice added "Did you tell your parents?"
Bo shook her head "I'm not sure I'll even have the baby." The girls looked at her with wide eyes.
"If you don't have the baby, you'll regret it" Lily said.
They tried to convince her, but she dismissed them "Fine. I'll give it some thought."
Genevieve changed the subject, for Bo's sake. "Did anyone get a chance to visit Remus and Natalie today?"
"I couldn't care less." Sarah muttered.
Alice looked at Sarah with concern "What happened?"
"When I went to the Hospital Wing with Bo, I saw Natalie and Remus kissing." Sarah threw her pillow away angrily.
"But I thought Remus said that he will stand aside."
"That's what I thought too, Gen, only I saw them glued to each other's lips today. And I still can't believe that you girls stayed up and wanted to help me. And you-" Sarah addressed Lily "-You could've been killed! I could've hurt you!"
"I know, but we're friends and we stick up for each other" Lily replied. There was a pregnant pause, until their door opened, and Natalie entered.
"Nat, you're back!" The girls, except for Sarah, hugged her.
"Well, well, well, if it isn't Natalie, back from the dead." Sarah said sarcastically.
Natalie confronted her "What crawled up your butt?"
"You. You come here as a martyr; 'Oh, I was hurt and almost dead, and dear old Remmy saved me!' You can fool anyone, but not me. You had the nerve to hit on Remus, even when he said he didn't want to date neither of us! You are a two timing bitch." Sarah pushed Natalie from her way to the door, and slammed it.
"What was that?!" Genevieve asked.
"You and Remus are together now?" Alice asked. Natalie nodded.
"How come you didn't tell us? You know we don't keep secrets from each other" Lily asked.
"We never meant to hurt anyone's feelings. We wanted to keep a low profile for a while, just until things cool off." Natalie sighed.
"Well now things are worse. Sarah's pissed off and you can't trust us." Bo crossed her arms over her chest. They decided not to talk to Natalie, for the time being.
