Chapter 13

Spring came by. The snow finally melted, and the grass was greener than ever; plants and flowers growing around the castle. It was a regular day at Hogwarts. It was Potions class when they had to get a cauldron and work on a new potion. Sarah and Natalie were walking in opposite directions. Natalie got her cauldron to work with and Sarah shoved Natalie violently with her shoulder. 'What's with her? She should stop acting like this', Natalie thought to herself. Lily noticed this and shook her head.

Lily paired up with Sarah to talk with her. Lily had enough. "Sarah, stop it. This is childish!" Sarah ignored her and put Bloomslang skin to the cauldron.

"There's something you don't know. When you transformed, Natalie and I were there. She saw Sirius and James getting hurt by you and she interfered. You hurt her, Sarah. You knocked her unconscious!" Lily said, putting in another ingredient.

Sarah scoffed. "That's crazy. I would've remembered something like that. What do you want me to do about it?" Sarah asked.

"At least talk to her!" Lily retorted. There was a pregnant pause.

"I'll think about it." Sarah said. During class, she thought about what Lily said. She couldn't concentrate on something else.

Natalie was paired up with Remus. She watched Lily and Sarah. "This is getting absurd. You should talk to her again." Remus said.

Natalie shook her head "She doesn't want to talk to me, fine by me. But she shouldn't act like this; shoving me, smirking at me. I've had enough." Natalie said.

Remus rubbed her back for comfort. "Everything will be fine."

After class, Sarah walked up to Natalie. "Can we talk?" Natalie nodded and crossed her arms on her chest. The class was deserted.

"Lily told me what happened at the full moon. You wanted to help, and I hurt you. I'm sorry Nats, about what I've said and done. I should be happy for you and Remus, and instead I scorned you. You have every right not to talk to me. I'll understand." Sarah apologized.

Natalie pressed her lips together. "I'm pretty surprised you've decided to apologize. I told Remus that I've had enough with your behavior. This has gone too far." There was a pause.

Natalie sighed. "But I missed you, Sarah Whitmore. How could I not forgive you?" The girls smiled and hugged.

"I missed you too, Nats." Natalie smiled.

"I know."

Sarah laughed "Conceited, much?" Natalie shrugged her shoulders and smiled.

In the evening, Bo leaned against a wall in the common room. She received a letter from her mother. She was very anxious. She read:

'Bo,

You're carrying his child? I never thought my daughter would be pregnant so young. If you wish to keep it, I want nothing to do with it; neither with you. I never wanted you to make my mistakes, and yet you did. You are a disgrace.

Miranda'

Sobbing, she fell to the floor. Sirius was at her side, and took the letter from her. He peered at the letter and looked at his girlfriend. He held her and caressed her hair "Everything will be alright. She'll regret what she said." He kissed her head.

"The one person I expected to support me abandoned me!" Bo sobbed. The others were at their side.

"You know we're here for you, right?" Genevieve asked.

Bo looked at her friends, nodded and sniffed "You guys are the best!"

James grinned. "It's obvious that I'm the godfather." James stated.

Remus scoffed "Don't be ridiculous, I am!" They bickered, until Lily stopped them. They all laughed.

"It's crazy, it's like we're a family." Frank nodded at Alice's comment.

"We are." Sirius said.

"Speaking of which, as a family, I think we should address a certain matter: Sarah and Natalie. Look girls, as good friends-" James was cut off by Sarah.

"James" she said. "-I think you should make up because-" James was cut off again.

"James!" Sarah yelled.

"What?" James asked.

"Natalie and I are okay now." Sarah replied, half hugging Natalie.

"Oh. So why didn't you stop me?"

"Because, cousin, the moment you start talking, you can't stop." James mock glared at Natalie. Lily smirked. Genevieve took Miranda's letter and tore it apart.

"Why did you do that?" Bo asked her.

"You need a fresh start; a new beginning, with Sirius and us." Genevieve grinned. A fresh start.
