AN:
And I'm back with only two days left! Today you get to finally know what Lucy got Elfman. Only one more character until the end!
When Lucy noticed, she only had 2 days until Christmas Day, the day when the presents would be exchanged. Lucy still had nothing to give Elfman. She couldn't ask anyone for hints, because if she asked what was considered a manly thing, everyone would immediately find out.
"Why did I agree to this idea…" She sighed, at her usual spot on the guild bar. Once again, like 2 weeks ago, the bartender heard her.
"So Lucy, why are you so worried about this time?" Mira asked with her bright smile and sweet voice while giving her a strawberry milkshake, Lucy's favourite. Lucy wanted to tell Mira all her problems, but she knew she couldn't. So, she opted for telling half of it.
"I'm having some problems with the presents' game. It's only 2 days from here and I don't have anything to give!" She started to complain, stopping for 2 seconds to take a sip of her milkshake.
"I see! Maybe I can help you?" Her friend suggested
"I really would love your help but I can't tell anything without making it too obvious who it is.."
"That makes things a bit complicated." In an attempt to make Lucy get distracted on her problems for a moment, the white-haired mage decided to change the topic of the conversation:
"For speaking of too obvious... Do you have any idea of who has your name?" Lucy was not expecting the question Mira shot her.
Whenever someone asked Lucy that question, she got a little depressed. That was thanks to a certain, too dense, pink-haired dragon slayer. She was pretty sure it was him that would give her a present, because of the conversation they had a few days before
But something wasn't matching: why would he be asking her what SHE would like if it was not to get her a present. But if he wanted to know what she would like, why did he ask for another option? What had she done wrong for him not liking her?
"Really, I don't wanna talk about it." Was the answer that Lucy gave Mira, taking another sip of her drink.
Seeing that the conversation would lead nowhere, the bartender left her friend alone. And after finishing her drink, Lucy said goodbye and left the guild.
As she was in no hurry, Lucy decided to take a different way home. And that's when something caught her attention. A shop she had not seen before, on a corner of a street. She approached the door, where was hanged a poster. Carefully, she read it. It was something like: "We have all kinds of potions. Just come in and ask what you want".
Lucy thought it was a really good idea. She could just enter and ask for a manly potion. That would be perfect. So, that's what she did. She opened the door and a bell rang above her head. Immediately a woman came to her.
"Good morning, welcome to our potions store, can I help you?" Lucy took a while to answer because she was too distracted examining the interior of the room. The store wasn't big and there were no clients inside.
"Excuse me, how can I help you?" The small employer asked her again
"Ahh sorry, I was just looking. You do all kinds of potions, right?"
"Yes, anything you ask." The more she looked around, the more convincing the idea of a manly potion sounded.
"Ok, then I would like a manly potion" The woman looked at her for a second before pointing a chair for Lucy to wait while her potion was being made.
Lucy waited for about half an hour until her potion was ready.
"Here it is. It'll be 10.000 jewels!" The same employer announced.
Lucy was already expecting it to be a quite high amount of money, so she took the said amount and paid for the potions before exiting the shop.
Next, she headed home, taking the short way since she didn't want to run into someone that could see her with a potion bottle with a label saying "manly". Luckly, that did not happen, and at least, Lucy had one less thing to worry about for the next two days.
