Chapter 18
Sirius was sleeping on his stomach, his mouth was open and he was snoring lightly. Bo and Sirius were in their humble abode. They started fixing and decorating after the ceremony yesterday. "Sirius? Sirius, wake up!" Bo tapped him on the shoulder, but he didn't budge. She lay beside him and said sweetly "Sirius? Wake up, honey. I'm going to be late for my appointment."
Sirius replied groggily and looked at the clock beside his side of the bed '10 o'clock, bloody hell. What a hangover!' "I'm up. What appointment?"
Bo huffed and said "At St. Mungo's, of course. My check-up." Sirius woke up slowly, kissed her and walked to their bathroom.
They went downstairs to eat breakfast. They had a bowl of cereal and coffee. She took a look at Sirius and snorted. Sirius looked up from his bowl and looked quizzically at her. "Are you alright?" She asked him.
He shook his head. "You have a hangover, am I right?" Bo smirked at her fiancé. Sirius pouted and nodded. She approached him and sat on his lap.
"My poor honey bunny! What can I do to help you?" She wrapped her arms around his neck and he wrapped his around her waist.
"Well, you could give me a massage…' Sirius smirked.
Bo kissed his forehead and replied "In the evening, I promise. Come on, we have to leave." She got off his lap and they left to the hospital.
Arriving there, they met up with Bo's healer who is with her throughout the pregnancy. "Healer Smith, how are you?" Bo asked her, following her to her office.
"I'm doing great. Have a seat." Sirius and Bo sat down on burgundy arm chairs opposed to Healer Smith.
"So Bo, how are you?" the healer asked her.
"I'm fine. Eating, resting, having fun." She said and smiled at Sirius. Sirius took her hand and squeezed it slightly.
Healer Smith saw the romantic gesture and smiled at them "Let's see how the baby's doing, shall we?" They followed her to a smaller room with a pregnancy machine, which watches the baby. The healer asked Bo to lie down on the chair and lift her top up. Bo complied and the healer did her job. On the screen, Sirius and Bo saw their baby, kicking and moving.
"Would you want to know the sex of the baby?" Healer Smith asked. Sirius and Bo looked at each other.
"We didn't talk about it really." Sirius said. Bo deep down knew that he was curious to know, but she didn't mind; as long as the baby was healthy. For his sake, Bo nodded at the healer.
"Well, your son is doing fine." The healer smiled kindly at the couple.
Sirius was quiet for a moment "Excuse me?"
"Your son is alright. He's healthy and growing in the right proportions."
Sirius grinned a wide grin. "It's a boy! It's a boy! I can't wait to tell the others!" He kissed Bo and shook Healer Smith's hand.
Bo laughed "You've made his day, healer Smith."
Meanwhile, James was with Lily at her parents' doorstep. "
How do I look?" James asked her.
Lily snickered "You look great. You've asked be about a million times."
"I'm sorry! I want to make a good impression on your parents." James apologized.
Lily gave him a swift kiss and said "You always do."
"Remember the last time we came here?" James asked her.
She nodded sadly and said "It was a disaster. Petunia and Vernon just completely ran for it. Did you have to show them your broom?" Lily asked annoyingly. James shrugged apologetically.
She opened the door. Her mother came down the stairs, and James smiled at her. "James! It's so good to see you again!" Eileen Evans kissed his cheek affectionately. She and Lily hugged. Richard Evans and James shook hands. They joined Petunia and Vernon at the dining room.
"Hello, Petunia." Lily said curtly.
Petunia pursed her lips and replied with a short "Lily." James took a quick look at Vernon and fought the urge to laugh: Vernon was a plump young man, with a moustache in the center of his pink, round face. They all sat down as Eileen served the food. "Bon appetite!" Eileen exclaimed happily. They began eating. James grabbed one of the salads and poured some on his plate.
"So James, what are you planning on doing, now that you're out of school?" Richard asked him.
"I'm planning on finding a job at our Ministry, Mr. Evans." Vernon threw a confused look at Petunia, who shook her head at him. Petunia suppressed a snort, but it wasn't ignored; Eileen threw her a dirty look Richard chuckled.
"Don't call me 'Mr. Evans', it makes me sound old." James, who was trying to impress Lily's parents, went along with the joke and chuckled.
It was nice and quiet dinner, when after it was a disaster. After lunch, they sat down in the living room with refreshments. Petunia and Vernon were unusually quiet at the table and it started to bother Lily.
Lily took Petunia aside and asked her "What's wrong?"
Petunia sneered "Like you don't know, 'freak'." Lily was usually offended by the name, but now she couldn't care less.
"Listen, I can't change who I am. I've explained this to you many times, but you don't seem to get it." Lily said. Petunia cocked her head to look at James, and looked back at her sister.
"I don't like him." Petunia stated.
Lily was getting angry. "That's your problem. I love him and that's not going to change anytime soon."
Lily walked away from her sister to join the others in the living room. Petunia walked after Lily to the living room and cried out to her parents "You love her, just as she is, even though she's a 'freak'! I've always been pushed aside since she got her letter from that 'freak' school!" She left the others aghast.
"Petunia! I'm appalled! This isn't like you at all." Eileen exclaimed.
"I'm sorry, James. Petunia's still not used to Lily's situation." Richard apologized. James, however, was warned by Lily that her sister would react like this, and shrugged it off. Petunia saw that she wasn't getting any attention, so she called out to Vernon.
"We're leaving!" Petunia grabbed Vernon by his chunky arm and walked over to the door.
"Oh, don't be silly dear, stay!" Eileen ran after them.
Petunia shared a look with Lily and hissed to her mother "I'm not staying here while she's here!" She opened the door, walked out of the house with Vernon and slammed the door behind them.
Eileen fought her tears which were threatening to run down her face. "
She'll never get used to it." She said when she sat down with the others.
James looked down at the floor, but then looked up into Eileen's eyes and said "I'm sorry, Mrs. Evans. Lily has reminded me what happened last time. It upsets me that you're troubled."
Eileen patted James' hand and smiled at him "Don't worry about it." There was a slight pause until they resumed eating biscuits and drinking tea. After an hour, Lily and James parted from her parents.
"James, it was a pleasure to see you again. Do come and visit more." Richard said while shaking his hand.
James mirrored Richard's smile "Will do." Lily hugged her parents goodbye. Lily opened the entrance door and James closed it after him. They walked a few steps away from the house Lily burst into laughter.
James laughed along with her and said "What is it?"
Lily calmed down and shook her head "She was always jealous of me, ever since we were little. This is getting ridiculous. Did you know she actually wrote to Dumbledore and asked him to attend Hogwarts?"
James looked at her incredulously."You're having a laugh? Are you serious?"
Lily chuckled and nodded. "Well, I'm glad that that didn't happen." James said, took her hand and together apparated to James' house.
Arriving at his house, Lily greeted his parents and saw an unfamiliar owl by the kitchen window. "James, whose owl is that?", Lily asked James, who turned to her. James walked over to the owl "I have no idea. Mom, how long has it been here?"
Grace Potter shook her head. "I have no idea, darling." James took the letter from the owl and opened it "It's from Sirius., and read it
'Prongs and Lils
The owl's from St. Mungo's, just so you know. We have a son! A little Padfoot is on the way! He's healthy and doing great! We've decided that you two are the godfather and godmother. We've finally made up our minds!
Talk to you soon.
Sirius'
"That's wonderful!" Lily gushed.
James grinned "Yeah, Sirius wanted a little guy; a little Marauder."
Lily chuckled and shook her head "Poor Bo if he turns out to be like his father."
James raised his eyebrow in curiosity "And what's that supposed to mean?"
Lily put her hands on her hips and said "Well, I hope for her that he won't be a troublemaker like Sirius."
"We aren't troublemakers!" James said, faking hurt.
Lily nodded "Yes, you are!" James chased her up to his room and locked the door after him. Lily slumped on his bed and laughed. She tried to catch her breath, and was astonished at James' stamina; he didn't pant for a second.
"Um, a question?" James was quiet, so Lily went on "Why did you lock the door?" James had a devious look on his face and a hungry glint in his eyes.
Lily was startled. "James, why are you looking at me like that?" James' smirk widened and he jumped on the bed; on Lily.
"James!" Lily laughed hard "You're heavy!"
James snickered "And you're beautiful." Lily blushed a bit and kissed him. They shared passionate kisses and James took off his shirt.
Back home, Sirius and Bo decorated their son's room. The walls were painted light blue, and on it were drawings of Quidditch balls and brooms. Sirius painted the crib and Bo fixed up the toys in boxes. After that, they prepared a romantic dinner together. Bo made spaghetti Bolognese and Sirius made a salad as well as he can. "Sirius, this is great! Good job, babe!" Bo said, eating from the salad.
Sirius raised his eyebrows "Really? You like it?" Bo nodded.
Sirius grinned "I should cook more."
Bo giggled "Yeah, you should." They ate at their dining room and on the table, candles were placed.
In the middle of a bite, Bo remembered something "I promised you something, am I right?" Sirius paused for a moment and nodded mischievously.
She finished her last bite and asked him "Are you done?" When she looked at him, he noticed a naughty look in her eyes.
"I'm done now!" He exclaimed. With a flick of her wand, Bo set the dishes to the sink and the couple went upstairs to their room.
In their room, Bo said she wanted to change into something comfortable. "Is there something you want me to do?" Sirius called out to her, who was in the bathroom.
"Come here for a second." He heard her call out. He walked over to the bathroom door and opened it to reveal his naked fiancé in front of their large bathtub. His eyes scanned her body: her breasts were bigger, her stomach was also bigger, but she was still drop dead gorgeous to him, especially now that she was carrying their child.
"Hey" She said in a whisper. Sirius cleared his throat, clearly trying to muster his sexual drives. She walked up to him, grabbed a handful of his hair and kissed him fiercely. He kissed her back in the same manner. He grabbed her backside and pulled her to him. Bo moaned loudly in his mouth.
Sirius broke the kiss, and asked her "What was that?!"
Bo bit her lower lip and said "I'm horny lately and I need it." Sirius was slightly taken aback from her answer, but was thrilled. He considered himself the luckiest man alive.
Sirius said "You have no idea what you just did to me!" Bo smirked and turned around to look at the bathtub, which was now full of water and bubbles. She turned back to Sirius, who was still showing signs of shock. Bo took off his shirt and told him to join her in the tub. Bo got in the tub and not before long; Sirius followed her like a puppy dog. Bo, to his contentment, sat on his and resumed kissing him. He again broke the kiss and asked her "Do you know how much I love you?"
Bo smiled a wide smile and replied "I do. And I love you, too."
"So, we didn't have a chance to talk about the wedding." Bo's silence was his cue to go on "When do you want it?" He asked her.
She washed her hair and answered him "As soon as possible!" She grinned at him. Sirius smiled at her and said "We need to go to Gringotts and pull out some money." Sirius and Bo spent the rest of their time in the bathtub making love. They agreed on Monday to have the wedding, which means they had just five days to plan a wedding. They wanted a simple wedding with a few guests and to have a good time. But the problem was: where will they have it? When they finished, they dried up and started think about the location.
While thinking of a location, Bo gasped. Sirius asked her "What's wrong?"
"I've got it! How about on the seaside, where Shell Cottage is?" Bo suggested.
Sirius thought about it for a moment and replied "That's a great place! But we need tables, chairs, and other things."
Bo scoffed "We're wizards! We can conjure them!" and shook his head a bit.
"That would be great! How about we start writing the invitations?" Sirius asked.
Bo nodded. They began writing the invitations. They had a little study room next to their bedroom.
"Here are the gang's invitations. I'm writing now to The Potters and the Lupins, is that alright?" Bo asked him.
Sirius gave her a 'are you kidding?' look "Of course, we have to!" Sirius said. Bo smiled and wrote their invitations.
"And last, but not least, daddy!" She kissed her father's invitation and sealed the envelope. Looking at the invitations, they knew their wedding would be very small, but that's what they wanted.
