Chapter 7

"It can't be Bloom." Stella said in shock.

"But it is. That's definitely her, I'm certaint of it." Sky stated as he kept staring at the hologram.

"If it's her or not, we need to help the witches." Tecna said. The group nodded in agreement as they walked out the door. Sky moved to leave as well, until he heard the headmistress call him.

"Sky, wait a moment." He turned around to face the headmistress. "I need you to go back to Red Fountain..."

"But I need to help Bloom!" Sky exclaimed.

"I know how you feel, but who ever is in control most likely has more planned than just Cloud Tower. Saladine needs to be warned." Faragonda said very calmly.

"Are you sure Ms. Faragonda?'' Sky questioned as he turned back towards the headmistress.

"Yes, I'm quite sure." Faragonda said as she turned away from him. There was something about her attitude, he didn't know what though, that screamed out at him. The headmistress knows more than she's telling, and Sky plans on finding out.

Once the young prince had left, Faragonda let out a ragged breath. She thought through it all again, and after a while started to pace around her office.

'I don't want to believe it, but all the signs are there.' She thought in despair. 'Bloom's a vampire, she suddenly turns against her friends when she found an ancient artifact, and now she attacks one of the three hiding places of the Tomes of The Old Queen. It's too much to be a coincidence.'

Faragonda turned to look out the window overlooking the campus. She watched as a levabike rode off towards Red Fountain. 'He suspects that something is amiss.'

As the group of fairies flew closer to Cloud Tower, they could see magic attacks flying all around into the sky. Among all the magic, one girl in a long black dress stood floating in the air.

"Look! It's Bloom!" Stella yelled as they came closer. Hearing her yell, Bloom turned to face the new arrivals.

"Well well, look who finally decided to join the party." Bloom mocked as a purple aurora formed around her.

"Bloom, what are you doing?" Flora asked, her voice laced with fear and concern.

"Oh, not much. I'm just looking for a good book. These witches really don't want me too though." Bloom replied. She then shot a ball of purple fire towards a group of witches. It exploded in the middle of the group, sending them flying in different directions. Most were caught by other witches, but one was falling to quickly. Musa dove down quickly to rescue the witch. A few feet above the ground, Musa was able to catch the witch.

"Bloom why are you doing this? This isn't you." Stella yelled. Stella then started flying closer to Bloom slowly. Bloom just stared at her, waiting.

"Don't get too close to her Stella!" Layla yelled.

"Don't worry Layla! She won't hurt me!" Stella yelled back as she neared Bloom. Once she was in arms length, Stella reached out to touch Bloom. Just before she touched Bloom, Bloom reached out and grabbed Stella's wrist. In a puff of black smoke, the two women disappeared.

"STELLA!" The winx screamed. The group landed near Musa where she was watching over the injured witch.

"What are we going to do?" Flora asked.

"We could use my PDA to trace the magic signature of Bloom's transport and.." Tecna started, but was interrupted by a loud bang. The group looked up to se Bloom and Stella in he air. The group took off to help Stella, but the two disappeared again before the winx reached them.

Before anyone said anything, Bloom and Stella reappeared again. The two just kept teleporting rapidly several times, until the next reappearance. Bloom through Stella towards the group before teleporting again. The group was able to catch Stella, but Bloom never reappeared.

"Are you alright Stella?" Flora asked. Stella seemed nauseas, but once she recovered she spoke up. "Yeah I'm alright."

"What happened?" Layla asked.

"It looked like you were sporadically teleporting." Tecna stated.

"I don't know. It all went by so quickly." Stella answered.

Suddenly there was an explosion coming from Cloud Tower. "Come on girls. We have to go help the witches." Flora said. The group then flew into cloud tower and tried to find the source of the explosion. Using Tecna"s PDA, they tracked the explosion to Griffin's office. They found the doors of their hinges.

As they entered, they found Bloom standing by the bookshelf, and Ms. Griffin laying on the ground near her desk.

"Ms. Griffin!" Flora cried out at the site. At the sound of the voice, Bloom turned towards the door.

"Hi girls. Don't worry about her, she'll be fine. I'm afraid though, if you get in my way I'm going to have to hurt you." Bloom stated as she turned back towards the shelf. After a few moments, she reached out and grabbed a book off the shelf.

"There it is. One down, two to go." Bloom said as she started walking out of the room. The winx moved to surround her.

"Bloom we can't let you go. We're here to help you." Flora called, trying to get Bloom to calm down.

"But the problem is that you trying to help me is a hindrance to my progress." Bloom replied. Bloom quickly charged a low level spell and sent it towards Musa and Layla. The blast hit the two, sending them flying out to door and into the hallway. Bloom then sprinted out the door. Flora stopped to check on Layla and Musa, while Stella and Tecna followed Bloom.

The chase led all through Cloud Tower. Stella and Tecna stayed close behind Bloom most of the way, but they began to fall behind. Bloom was getting closer to the main entrance to the tower, and Stella knew she had to stop her.

Suddenly Stella heard someone yell from behind, "Enchantic Bolt!" As Stella was turning to look, she saw a pink orb fly past her and towards Bloom. It hit Bloom dead on, sending her falling towards the ground.

"Bloom!" Stella screeched in fear for her friend. She knew Bloom was to far away for her to help.

Right before Bloom hit the ground, she dissapeared in a puff of black smoke. Stella landed where Bloom disappeared and started looking around. The rest of the Winx followed shortly.

"Where do you think she went?" Flora asked.

"I don't know, but we have to stop her." Layla stated.

"But she's our friend!" Stella replied, apauled that Layla would talk like that.

"Stel you have to face the facts. We have no idea why Bloom is acting like she is. It may not even be her anymore." Tecna stated. This just infuriated Stella more.

"I can't believe any of you!" Flora yelled, stepping in to defend Stella.

"Come on girls! We need to head back to Alfea and talk to Ms. Faragonda." Musa stated, trying to get everyone to calm down.

"Musa's right. Let's go." Stella stated as she flew off. the rest followed after her.
