Chapter 21
Natalie had enough. She knew she wasn't getting any privacy at Genevieve's. Amos was visiting more often and the nights were louder than usual. She didn't want to live forever with her, even though she loved her and they were dear friends. 'I need to find my own place. I'm sure Remus is uncomfortable coming here frequently.' Luckily, Genevieve was working this morning so Natalie was alone in the house. She figured that Genevieve needed her own special humble abode as well. Remus came over and they ate breakfast.
She shared her thoughts with him, "I can't live here anymore. I feel like I'm bothering her. Amos comes here a lot, his clothes are here. I think she's planning to kick me out."
Remus chuckled "She wouldn't do that. She loves you, Nat." There was a pause.
Remus took a bite from his bacon and said "I think you should move in with me. It would be better for all of us. And besides, I think we're ready to take our relationship up a step." Natalie looked up at him with glistening eyes. She wanted him to ask her to move in with him. Her love for him grew every day and she wanted their relationship to strengthen.
Natalie smiled a wide smile and said "I would love that." They enjoyed their morning together when Natalie heard an owl screeching by the kitchen window. She took the letters from the owl and sent it off.
"A letter for Gen and for us. Clearly someone knows you're here." She handed him his letter and opened hers.
"It's from Dumbledore." They scanned the letters.
"Our next meeting is tomorrow evening at the Shrieking Shack." Remus looked at to Natalie, who nodded.
"We're facing dark times."
When Genevieve got back from her morning shift, she saw various boxes all around the house. 'What the hell-?' Genevieve thought. She walked over to Natalie's room to see her packing her things.
"What are you doing?" Genevieve asked loudly.
Natalie turned to her and said "I'm packing, Gen. I can't stay here anymore. I need to be somewhere I'm comfortable. I feel like I'm in the way."
Genevieve chuckled "With me and Amos? Don't be ridiculous, you know I'd rather ditch him than you."
"Remus asked me to move in with him."
Genevieve took this by surprise "Oh, alright then. Do you need help?"
Natalie saw her facial expression and smiled at her "I'll come and visit, silly. I feel that it's best if I moved away." They hugged and Genevieve helped her with her boxes.
Back at Remus's, Natalie was in for a surprise. In his living room, there was a huge welcome banner and he stood under it and grinned.
"Oh, Remmy! How cute!" Genevieve gushed. They apparated with her boxes. The spent the rest of the afternoon placing Natalie's belongings.
"I didn't tell you this, but Sarah owled me yesterday and wanted to move out from Alice's flat. I'll tell her she can move in with me." Genevieve looked at Natalie for approval, who nodded at her.
"Sure. That's a good idea." They shared a smile and continued unpacking.
Meanwhile, Lily and James were sitting in James' backyard with his parents. They were discussing their upcoming wedding. They had no idea where to have the ceremony. Henry and Grace Potter have been keeping something from the couple for a week and they have decided to tell them now.
Henry cleared his throat and asked James "Remember when we wanted to sell Godric's Hollow?" His son looked at him and nodded.
Henry went on "We decided to give it to you as a wedding gift." Lily and James were speechless and were extremely grateful. Grace smiled at him affectionately.
"Mr. Potter, I don't know what to say! Thank you!" Lily got up from her chair and gave him a swift kiss on the cheek. Henry and Grace chuckled.
"Lily, you know you can call me Henry." Lily nodded and sat back in her seat.
Grace had an idea "Maybe you can have the wedding at the chapel nearby the house?"
James grinned "That's a great idea, mom!" They planned to have the wedding a week after Alice and Frank's wedding, which was next week. After their lunch together, James and Lily hurried to send invitations.
As soon as Genevieve told Sarah that Natalie moved out, Sarah quickly packed her things and moved in with Genevieve. "How are things at Olivanders'?" Sarah worked at Olivanders' Wand shop.
Sarah slumped on one of the sofas and huffed "It's crap, but at least I'm getting paid."
Genevieve nodded "True." To celebrate, they made lunch together and spent some time together.
"So are you and Amos thinking about getting hitched?" Sarah wiggled her eyebrows mischievously.
Genevieve snorted "No way. I mean, we enjoy shagging, we have great conversations, but I don't know. I never thought about it." She never thought of Amos as 'marriage material' and she wasn't planning on buying a white dress anytime soon.
The next day began as a usual day, but in the evening they had a meeting with Dumbledore. Bo stayed alone in the house, following Dumbledore's request. The others apparated to The Shrieking Shack and met up with their old headmaster. The old building had a terrifying history and was rumored to be the scariest place around. They looked around the shack, with their wands at the ready for anything. Natalie spotted the professor in one of the rooms, and called out to the others to follow her. Entering the room, Dumbledore welcomed them "Good evening, everyone." The others nodded and murmured a 'good evening'. Dumbledore introduced the other members of the Order and with that; they began their first meeting of practicing.
Some of the members remained unhurt, but some were supporting bleeding wounds and broken bones. Luckily, there are spells which help some of the injuries, but some were admitted to Mungo's. The gang parted and returned to their homes. Sirius apparated in the living room. Bo must have heard the faint pop and came running to him. They shared a kiss and she gasped: Sirius had several cuts in his face and a deep gash on his left arm. Bo summoned gauze and sterilization products and ordered him to lie down.
She nursed Sirius and shook her head "This is crazy. Will every session be like this?" Sirius was quiet. "What's wrong, Sirius?"
He looked up at her and replied "I guess it will. We're facing dangerous times, Bo. I need to protect you as much as I can." Bo stroke his hair.
"You know I'm still worried, Sirius. I know you see it." She finished treating hid face and now was taking care of his arm.
When she placed the gauze on the gash, Sirius winced. "I told you, love. We're a big group and they're some very talented witches and wizards. We will defeat Voldemort and his supporters."
Bo sighed "I hope so."
The boys took Frank to a local pub and celebrated. The girls took Alice to a fancy restaurant as a bachelorette's party. Their wedding took place at a chapel near their apartment in London. Remus was Frank's best man and Genevieve was Alice's maid of honor, but the others stood by their side at the altar. Alice's dress was pearl white and poofy; just the way she wanted it. Frank looked rather dashing in his tuxedo. The wedding party ended with Sarah making out with Daniel and Bo felt a sharp pain in her stomach. She clutched her abdomen and breathed heavily. Luckily James was standing next to her and urged Peter to get Sirius. Sirius ran as quickly as he could to her and held her hand. "We have to get you to the hospital, this isn't normal." Sirius said.
Sirius and Bo arrived quickly to St. Mungo's and she was immediately put on a bed. A healer came in and checked her to see what is wrong. He felt her stomach and scanned it with a few machines and spells. "Please don't tell me that he's ready to come out, Healer-" She looked at the healer's tag "Valentine."
The young healer looked at her with his gentle hazel eyes and gave her a wide smile "Don't worry, Mrs. Black, I'm sure everything's fine. You little one wants to scare you a bit. You still have two months." Bo nodded.
After a short pause, the healer walked closer to the exit and turned to look at them and said "I'll come and check up on you later. And by the way, call me Adam." and closed the door behind him.
Sirius let out a loud sigh and patted Bo's stomach "You made mum and dad panic." Bo laughed and looked into her husband's eyes. She never thought she would take the healer's name into consideration of naming her son. She wasn't much of a believer, but she liked the Biblical association.
"I want to name the baby Adam." Bo said and Sirius nodded.
