Chapter 9

Ms. Faragonda's Office

"Bloom is in complete control of herself!" Sky exclaimed to the Winx, Specialists, and Ms. Faragonda.

"But the Bloom we know would never attack Saladiene in his office for a book!" Stella replied.

"We all know Bloom. She will do anything to help someone she cares about." Sky stated as he looked to everyone in the room. They all knew he was right.

"The only question is who is she trying to help?" Flora asked. Sky then turned towards Faragonda.

"She's keeping secrets from us. All the heads are." Sky accused, pointing towards Faragonda. The group turned to see that Faragonda had no reaction to his accusation.

"Yes, we have. There were things that needed to be kept secret to guard the tomes. But now that all but one are lost, there is no use in hiding the truth." Faragonda opened a drawer in her desk and pulled out a large black book.

"This is the third volume in the Sanguine Vampiris trilogy. There is a legend to the tomes. If a full-blodded vampire gets all three, they can revive the entire vampire race. As protecters of the realm, it is our job as heads of the schools to keep all knowledge of the books secret. We have failed. Bloom has two of the three and is surely on her way here to get the third."

"Why don't you just destroy the book?" Stella asked.

"These books are infused with the ancient power of the Queen of Vampires herself. If any mortal even touches it without the proper protection spells they'll be drained of all life. There is no way to destroy it." Faragonda replied as she placed the book on her desk.

"Surely we can just talk to Bloom about it. If she knows that what she's doing can endanger all the realms then she'll stop." Flora said.

"It's a good thought dear, but there is too much at stake. A full revival of the most powerful race known to the realms would be disastrous. History would repeat and they would try to enslave the universe. Bloom and her accomplice cannot succeed." Faragonda stated firmly.

Suddenly there was a knock on the door. The door crept open and Griselda slipped into the room. "The campus is secure. If anything tries to get in it will have to get past the barrier and avoid tripping any alarms."

"Thank you." Faragonda replied.

"What do we do now?" Musa openly asked.

"We wait. Bloom will be here eventually." Faragonda answered as she turned around to face the window. The sky was covered on dark clouds. "More than one storm is on it's way."

Bloom stands at the edge of the forest. Alfea stands behind the magical barrier under a storm filled sky, rain pouring down on her.

'How will we ever get passed that?' Serana asked telepathically. 'The same way we got out.' Bloom answered as she used a spell to open a small portal. A green devise falls out of the rift into Bloom's hands. It appears to be an electronic turtle shell.

'Tecna's Barrier Buster. She invented it to create a gap in the barrier so we could get out of the school. It should still work.' Bloom said telepathically as she approached the barrier. Bloom placed the device on the shield and soon a small gap opened. Bloom quickly entered before it closed.

'See, that was easy.' Bloom thought as she started towards Ms. Faragonda's office. 'Never jump to conclusions.' Serana warned her.

In the office, a silent alarm starts flashing on Faragonda's moniter.

"She's here. External door 4 in the East Wing has been opened." Faragonda said calmly as she started to open up the security system on her computer.

"Are you sure? I could be a student. No one knows about this except us." Sky askes worried. Faragonda stays silent as she activates the holo-display. It shows the security footage that covers the door that was opened. A soaking wet red-headded girl in a long black dress is clearly seen entering the building.

"That's her alright." Layla commented. Everyone in the room turned to look at her. "What? I just said what everyone was thinking."

"i would ask how did she get through the barrier, but I think we all know the answer to that as well." Stella said as she stood up from her chair.

"What do you mean Stella?" Flora asked confused.

"What do we have that Faragonda doesn't know about that can get us in and out of the barrier?" Stella openly asked.

"The Barrier Buster!" Tecna exclaimed.

"But only Tecna can open the portal to the pocket dimension." Flora said. Tecna focused her magic and opened the portal. She waited until the portal collasped, but nothing appeared. "That settles that question." Musa said.

"How she got in doesn't matter right now. What matters is how we're going to stop her." Sky said as he readied his weapon. The girls reluctantly transformed into their fairy forms.

"Specialists, Griselda, Musa and Tecna head outside and meet Bloom before she enters the office. Sky, the rest of the winx, and myself will wait in here. Our first goal is to stop this peacefully, but use excessive force if nessecary." Faragonda ordered. The group split and assumed their positions.

Bloom peered around the corner towards Faragonda's office. From her hiding place she can see a large group guarding the headmistress's office.

'Do you have a special device to get past them too?' Serana asked. 'Yeah, because we made stuff for every insergent to use against us.' Bloom sarcastically answered.

'Well we need the final tome.' Serana retorted. 'I think I know what I'm going to do.' Bloom answered as she turned around the corner. Helia was the first to spot her.

"Bloom. This doesn't have to end in violence." Helia said grabbing everyone's attention.

"I couldn't agree more Helia." Bloom said as she raised her hands. "All I want is to talk."

Griselda knocked on the door and entered the office. Helia and Musa moved to flank Bloom as they escorted her into the office. Everyone's attention was on the redhead.

"Ms. Faragonda. I would like to request that you allow me to have the third tome." Bloom asked in a formal manner. Faragonda just stared at the young girl for a moment. Faragonda pulled the tome out and placed from her desk and placed it out in the open on the desk.

"Bloom, do you know what could happen if we allow you to have all three tomes?" Faragonda asked.

"I can help resurrect Queen Serana." Bloom replied.

"Then you must know that is why we cannot allow you to have it. If she came back then she would try to enslave the entire universe."

'Oh please! Humans thrived under my rule.' Serana mocked.

"Serana has the right to live just like anyone else in the universe. She has asked for my help and I'll do everything I can to help." Bloom almost hissed.

"I'm sorry Bloom but I cannot allow this." Faragonda said as she rose out of her seat. Bloom adopted an offensive stance,

"Bloom wait!" Sky yelled. Bloom turned to look at him, a hurt look on his face.

"I'm sorry my love. This is what it has come to." Bloom's power erupted into the room, forcing everyone away from her. Faragonda cast a spell towards the tome. Bloom swipped the tome from the desk, barely dodging Faragonda's spell.

"Bloom wait!" Sky yelled. Once again Bloom turned to look at him, but this time it was a huge mistake. Faragonda casts another spell towards Bloom, sending her flying out the window.

"Why would you do that?" Sky yelled.

"Stop her. She cannot get away with that book!" Faragonda commanded. The group of young fairies and specialists hesitated, but then left the office to chase after Bloom. Sky stayed behind.

"Sky, you are being a hindrance to Bloom's capture." Faragonda said as she moved towards the door.

"And you seem more bent on killing her and turning everyone against her" Sky retorted in anger.

"My only goal is to preserve the peace, and Bloom is the greatest threat to it." Faragonda said as she walked out of the door, leaving Sky alone.

Bloom landed in the quad, shattered glass falling all around her. She forced herself off the ground. Bloom looked to her right to see the tome laying on the ground. She started limping towards the tome, holding her left hand next to her side like it would ease the pain.

Just before she got there, the winx and specialists emerged from the doors to the main hall.

'This night just keeps getting worse.' Bloom thought as she turned towards the group.

"Bloom, please stop." Flora pleaded.

"I'm sorry, but I won't let this go." Bloom replied.

"Then we have to stop you Bloom." Layla yelled. Bloom moved towards the tome ignoring her.

"Shining Shield!" A bubble of light appeared around the tome as Bloom was reaching for it. Her hand was caught in the light, burning her hand. Bloom recoiled at the pain.

"Bloom I don't want to hurt you more, but if you don't give up I'll have to." Stella said fighting back tears. Bloom could tell it hurt her to have to do this.

"I'm sorry Stella. I never wanted this. Let's go Enchantix!" Bloom now stands there not in the black dress, but a different enchantix form. The corset of the dress is pitch black, but fades to a bright pink for the ruffles of the dress. Her arms are covered in black lace gloves that almost reaches up to her shoulders. Her feet are covered in long pink stockings under black saddles that wind up her lower legs. Her wings are outlined in silver, pink closer towards her that fades to black closer to the tips of the wings.

The group just stood in awe at their friend. Bloom was confused at their reaction until she looked herself over.

"That's not what I expected." Bloom muttered. She was pulled out of her thoughts with a spell flying towards her. Bloom created a shield to block the attack.

"It's over Bloom. You can't get what you want." Faragonda yelled from the doorway.

"You really think Stella's bubble can keep me at bay?" Bloom mocked.

"Even if you get past Stella's shield, you can't face us all at once and get through the barrier." Faragonda replied.

"You're right. I can't do it all. But I can do what I need too." Bloom stretched her arm towards the tome. It suddenly vanished, only to reappear in Bloom's hand.

"Stop her!" Faragonda commanded. The specialists charged forward and the Winx took to the skies.

"Faragonda, why do you have to make this difficult?" Bloom asked as she shot strait up into the air. The only response she got was another spell thrown at her. The rest of the girls started attacking as well. Bloom just blocked all of their attacks with ease.

"Together girls." Faragonda yelled. The Winx grouped up above her and chain linked together. "Winx Convergence!" The group launches a powerful attack towards Bloom.

Just before the blast hits her, Bloom fades into smoke. The spell passes harmlessly through her. Once it passed she re-solidified and turned around. Focusing her power, she added as much as she could to the blast. The blast hit the barrier, shattering it instantly.

"Goodbye girls." Bloom said as she teleported away.

Hidden Cave, Earth

Bloom stands in front of an ancient alter. The three tomes lay in order on the alter. Candles are placed around ceremoniously.

'Finally, after countless years I can return. And it's all because of you Bloom.' Serana said

AUTHOR'S NOTE: Bloom has the final tome and the return of Serana is close at hand. Since it's been a while I made sure that this chapter longer than my normal.
