Chapter 23

A month later had passed quickly. They were busy with their routine; training in the Order and settling down. Amos and Genevieve were done for good; he didn't deserve her. Bo was bigger than ever and expecting any moment now. Sirius was ready for anything, for any news about her. James and Lily had fun on their honeymoon in Paris.

Alan came visiting his daughter more frequently than ever. He arrived at the baby shower, to Bo's surprise. She received bottles, diapers, pacifiers, and many other things. Alan bought a stroller; she couldn't be more thankful. She addressed her friends "I couldn't thank you more. I'm lucky to have you in my life." Her friends cheered. They spent the day admiring Adam's room. The walls were painted light blue, with drawings of brooms and Quidditch balls. Sirius insisted on drawing a black dog: "What? It's me!" he said after getting a look from Bo.

When Bo went to the bathroom, she finished her business and found a clear liquid puddle, on the floor, and between her legs. She knew it was time. She opened the bathroom door and bellowed "Sirius! It's time!"

Arriving at the hospital, Sirius pushed a panting Bo in a wheelchair and ran with a healer to a room, with the rest of their friends running after him. "Oh, sweet Merlin, it hurts!" She yelled. They arrived at a vacant room and the healer asked Bo to remove her lower clothing. She realized her friends were standing in front of her "Well? This is the part where you're supposed to leave." she said impatiently. They noticed what she meant and quickly left the room. Sirius laughed and shook his head.

"I HATE YOU, SIRIUS BLACK!" She cried as she pushed. Sirius tried his best to help her deal with the pain, but she was angry at him. She lay back when she finished pushing "Is my dad here?"

Sirius nodded. "He's on his way."

Bo smiled at him and whined "I'm sorry I said that I hate you. I can never hate you. I love you."

Sirius was touched. "I love you, too. We need to push out a baby now." Bo giggled "Yeah."

Meanwhile in the waiting room, James was walking back and forth. "I'm nervous for him, you know?" He addressed the gang.

"We know how you feel." Sarah said. It wasn't long before they heard a cry from the room. They hugged each other and shrieked happily.

Sirius opened the door furiously and said "Adam's alright, Bo's fine too!" and closed the door after him. And with that, another Black was born.

"He's too cute, Bo!" Lily cooed at him. Bo held him in her delicate arms. Adam Remus Black opened his little eyes to reveal dark gray ones.

Sirius chuckled "They're going to turn gray, like mine."

Bo snorted "Or blue, like mine." She fluttered her eyelashes. The gang laughed.

"Let's wait and see." Remus said calmly, wrapping his arm around Natalie.

"What's it like to give birth?" Alice asked Bo.

"Painful as hell, but extremely worth it." She said while never removing her eyes from Adam.

"Can I hold him?" Remus asked her.

Bo looked at Remus and smiled kindly "Of course, Uncle Remmy." Natalie sniggered at Bo's nickname for him.

Bo handed Adam to Remus "Watch his head."

Remus held him until Adam began to whimper "I think his father should hold him now." The others laughed at his reaction as he handed Adam to Sirius.

"Alice and I have been trying lately, to have a baby. We're trying potions, but with no luck." Frank said sadly while half-hugging her.

James comforted them "It will happen, don't worry. Keep believing and it will."

Bo wanted to feed Adam, so the others understood and left the room and Sirius joined them. "I can't believe it, I'm a father." Sirius ran his fingers through his hair. His friends beamed at him.

"It suits you, I can tell." Genevieve said.

"I have a son! A little me. I can teach him broom tricks, pranks, and-"

"-How to become an animagus?" Remus cut him off, grinning.

Sirius dismissed it "No! I wouldn't do that." Remus sighed in relief. James laughed out loud. One of the healers walked by Sirius and handed him Adam's birth certificate.

"November 12th, 1978." Sirius grinned.

"A good date." They heard Alan from behind.

"I'm sorry I was late. How are they?" He asked Sirius.

"They're fine, she's feeding him now." There was a pregnant pause. Alan was excited and nervous; Adam is his first grandchild.

Instinctively, Alan suddenly sobbed and hugged Sirius "Thank you." Alan parted from the hug and knocked on Bo's door.

He heard a "Come in" and entered the room. After the door was closed, Sirius looked at his friends with raised eyebrows.

As soon as he saw him, Alan was smitten; he fell for Adam.

"He's beautiful, Bo."

Bo grinned "I know. Now I understand how you feel, Pop."

Alan sniffed "Pop. You haven't called me that in a while." He kissed her on the crown of her head. He held Adam and danced with him around the room, causing Bo to laugh at her dad's goofiness.

Sirius opened the door and asked "What's so funny?" and joined her when he saw Alan dancing with Adam.

After a few days, Bo was released from the hospital and was delighted to go back home with their new addition; an addition which wouldn't let them sleep. Sirius and Bo took turns to wake up in the middle of the night. Despite her exhaustion and Sirius's compliments about her new feminine look, she was determined to get back in shape. She exercised while taking care of Adam when Sirius was training. Luckily, she had her best friends to help take care of Adam; he was a handful, even at a tender age. He wasn't much of a crier, but he was spoiled; he got anything and everything he wanted.

The Order was training harder and harder and Bo finally joined them, thanks to Alan, who volunteered watching over Adam. The training also helped her get back in shape and strengthen her curses. Dumbledore finished the meeting with a warning "Be careful who you trust, they may deceive you. Be careful when you walk down the streets- Voldemort's followers are everywhere." Unfortunately, he was right in saying so.
