Brave new update! I'm highly likely this will be released before I update any of my other stories, so I'll put here as well. New poll on my profile! It'll be a bit outdated since this story will be crafted as well. Anyways, recently got back into Age of Mythology, after having just gotten over Chiron's death in the game for like the 50th time and wanted to work with this. Not entirely sure about the pairings yet, might at least do Percy and Annabeth, but nothing set in stone yet. I figured it'd be a first to do so, if it isn't, aww well. Age of Mythology, everyone's beloved rts game from the early 2000s!

With that, let's begin! Percy Jackson and the Lost Admiral!

A young boy of twelve, almost thirteen years old was sitting in class, a hand on his cheek as he looked out the window. He stood at five feet two inches tall, had short black hair that was neatly combed with dark brown eyes. He had listened only barely to Mr. Brunner's lecture, relating to the Greek myths. This boy's name was Aaron Carter.

He looked to his side and saw one of his best friends, Percy Jackson, scribbling down notes as fast as he could. He pitied the lad, having trouble with his ADHD and his dyslexia. He had it as well, but not as bad as his friend it seemed. He understood Latin and had started to take private lessons with Mr. Brunner on Greek. Aaron just couldn't understand why every time he had met him, his face would grow a deathly pale for a split second before the color returned.

He started to doze off, barely listening as Chiron started to talk about the upcoming field trip to the Metropolitan Museum of Art. His dreams had started getting stranger over the last few months.

Right now he was walking through a misty area, towards the sound of combat. It sounded a lot like what he saw from the movie of Troy he had watched a week prior. He walked up to the area and saw a man, an older man, dressed in bronze armor and wearing blue sleeves underneath it. He was wielding a spear as he dodged and bounced around a giant.

That giant had one eye, a cyclops, wielding a trident. He looked worse for wear as the man had slammed the blunt end of his spear against the abdomen of the cyclops, knocking him back before driving the sharp end of the spear through him.

He noticed many heroes had surrounded them. He noticed some of them, like Odysseus, Jason, Perseus, as well as Achilles and Ajax. The heroes started to fade as the cyclops fell to the ground, leaving the man alone as a woman of high power approached him. Aaron could feel the power radiated by her, the woman wearing similar armor to the man. He could recognize the armor worn by generals of the Grecian armies, but it seemed to change before his eyes as it was constantly shifting.

"That looked like …. It has been a long time since you stopped him and saved us all. Fighting old battles again old friend?" Aaron couldn't hear the names said by her, or the man. "As I told you with …. before Troy, I still see my old enemies here. After that debacle with my son at …. against him, I'm glad that I was granted reincarnation by giving up my godship."

The woman placed her hand on his shoulder. "You've helped so much old friend, from Troy, to Egypt, to the Norse lands. You had all the gods united, but they've splintered over the years."

"Yes…. More demigods have run around since my time." The man admitted, sighing softly. "Ajax, Amanra, Odysseus, I miss them all. Even my own son, Kastor…."

"The gods are aware of this and I'm worried myself. With …. being stolen and …. at each other's throats, we may be on the way to war. We will need you again my old friend." The woman said in a calculating manner, but also in a worried tone.

The two finally noticed Aaron as Aaron tried to hide. Kinda hard to hide when it was an open field and the only cover you could use was a faint cloud of mist that barely went above their ankles. They gestured him over as Aaron walked over nervously.

"He is not ready. My memories will overwhelm him, I have gone insane in two of my reincarnations already. And with…. rising again, I don't want to give him a potential weapon to use. Aaron isn't even thirteen years of age."

Aaron looked affronted by being told he was too young. "I can do it! My wrestling has gotten good, my boxing as well!" The man smiled softly, placing his hand on Aaron's head. "Ahh, you remind me of Kastor when he first started training. My name is … and this is …"

Aaron tilted his head in confusion, putting his finger in his ear to clean it. "I'm sorry, I didn't catch your names." The man sighed. "See, he is not ready yet. None of them are ready."

The woman had a calculating gaze on her face. "Unfortunately, time is not a luxury that we have, just like back then when you joined the Greeks against Troy. You may have thought it was just pirates and the Trojans back then but look at where it led you. There are no other options. I can wait until camp to restore to combine you two, but the memories of battle will come back on their own. A….. we are in need of you again, I am sorry."

The man sighed but nodded his head. "Aaron, it is time for you to wake up. I had hoped I could've avoided meeting you this earlier, but unfortunately, dark forces are rising. Once you get to the camp, talk to Mr. D. Tell him….." He looked between Aaron and the woman. "Tell him that Miss A. sent you and that you need the memories. He may be a bit off-putting at first, but he means well."

Aaron was starting to fade as he tried to grip them. "Wait! W-who are you!? How do you know me?! Who's Mr. D?!"

Aaron woke up with a startle as Mr. Brunner shook his shoulder. "Are you okay Aaron? Class is over my boy." Aaron shook his head softly. "Mr. Brunner. I'm sorry that I dozed off in your class. Yeah I'm okay, just a bad dream." Mr. Brunner nodded his head softly.

"Go on to your next class, and please try to avoid staying up late?" Mr. Brunner asked softly, causing Aaron to nod. He ran off, looking for his friend as Mr. Brunner sighed, sitting back in his wheelchair, a memory of a life long ago playing through his head.

Small Flashback

The centaur teacher looked between the fleeing soldiers and the approaching fire giants of Niffleheim. He grit his teeth, knowing they would be overwhelmed. He spotted a giant pillar that was barely hanging on, a well-placed kick would knock it over.

He looked back at the friends he had made during the journey and in a loud voice said, "Go!" The man with the spear as well as an ebony woman in Egyptian garb looked on in horror as the centaur rode back towards the pillar, towards the fire giants.

"CHIRON!" The man yelled as he went to chase after him, but the woman stopped him. The now named Chiron had his bow and arrows ready, willing to take as many as them out as he could before they overwhelmed him. He kicked the small rock, causing the pillar to fall behind him as he started shooting arrows at the fire giants.

'Lord Zeus. If you can hear me even down here, please. Let me be able to come back and teach the next generations of heroes for as long as I'm needed.' He thought grimly, letting loose a silent prayer before falling to the hail of fireballs.

Flashback end

Mr. Brunner fixed his tie, coughing slightly from the memory. 'Old friend, I'm sorry I had to leave you like that.'

The next day

Aaron was sitting beside Percy and Grover on the busy, contemplating the dream that he had in Mr. Brunner's class. 'Who were they, and how did they know me? Reincarnation?'

He put it at the back of his mind as he was hit in the head with an apple. He scowled softly, seeing it was a certain girl. "Nancy, apple are for eating and archery practice. Now since I don't see a bow and arrow, or even an archery range, I suggest you eat the apple before I get mad."

She whimpered but nodded, an unknown pressure coming from Aaron as Grover pat his arm. "Dude, are you okay? You're shaking a bit." Aaron breathed out. "I've… I've been having trouble sleeping. My dreams are a bit weird."

Seeing as it troubled him, Grover didn't push the issue any further. Percy just grumbled, "I'm gonna kill her." Aaron sat back, "Percy it's fine. She's learned her lesson for now. If she starts it up again, I will be telling Mr. Brunner. Isn't that right Bobofit?" The girl didn't say anything, just shrinking down further into her bus seat.

The bus pulled to a stop as it arrived at the museum of Art. "Alright boys and girls, time to head into the museum." Mr. Brunner said, getting off first in his wheelchair as the students followed him.

They walked through the museum, steadily going through the Greek mythology section as Mr. Brunner would talk about the statues, occasionally asking questions about them. The girls in front of Percy, Grover and Aaron just wouldn't stop their gossip.

"Will you shut up?" Percy asked, a little bit louder than he had intended. Mr. Brunner looked at him, "Mr. Jackson, did you have a comment?" Aaron sighed softly, facepalming, as Percy had an embarrassed look on his face. "N-no sir." They looked up to a painting that was on display.

"Mr. Jackson, could you please tell the class what is being portrayed here?" Mr. Brunner asked calmly, but sternly. Percy looked at it, racking his brain for the information. "It's um…. Cronos eating his kids right?" Percy asked reluctantly, to which Mr. Brunner nodded.

"Why did he do so?" "Well… Cronos was the king god…" "God?" "Titan!" Percy corrected himself. "King Titan… and there was this…. Um uh…. Prophecy that one of his kids would overthrow him… but he ate them to prevent that, all but one."

Chiron nodded softly, before looking at Aaron. "Can you finish the story for Mr. Jackson, Mr. Carter?" Aaron nodded, "Zeus, the youngest one, was hidden by his mother, the Titaness Rhea, as she was angry that this prophecy had ruled her husband's life. So she offered him a rock in the place of young Zeus so that he would survive, and eventually led to the self-fulling prophecy of Kronos being overthrown by his children."

Nancy scoffed lightly, "As if we'll need to know this. It's not going to be an interview question of "why did Chronos eat his kids?"" The children laughed as Mr. Brunner had an amused smile on his face. "Could either of you tell me how it would be important?"

Percy racked his brain for an answer as Aaron cupped his chin in thought. "The big one that I'm thinking of Mr. Brunner is to not let fear of the unknown run or change your perception of things. Sadly to say, a lot of things in history have been because of fear."

Mr. Brunner nodded, satisfied with Aaron's answer. "Full credit to you Mr. Carter while half credit to Mr. Jackson. And with that, I think it's time for lunch."

Percy sighed softly as Aaron put his hand on Percy's shoulder, a small smile crossing his face. "Almost got it there Percy." Percy let a smile cross his face and nodded.

"I'll meet up with you outside in a bit, I want to explore a bit." Aaron said before Percy nodded. He walked over to Mr. Brunner and asked him. "Sir, is it alright if I look around the museum a bit more before coming out to eat? I'd like to see what there is without….. distractions." He subtly gestured to Nancy and her crew of girls before Mr. Brunner nodded softly.

"Indeed Aaron, just don't take too long okay?" He wheeled himself out as Aaron looked around the museum. He saw many of the Greek Heroes in either paintings or statues. He did have a bad feeling when he saw Heracles, he shook his head, no, Hercules, though.

He did see a painting of Ajax the warrior, with a slight look of recognition coming to his eyes. He moved on through the Egyptian section, taking a minute to look at the warrior queen from Nubia, Amanra, before going through the section of Norse. He felt a sense of uncomfortableness when he went through the section before he left it quickly. He walked back towards the Greek section when he heard a screech. He took off towards the screech, grabbing a mop from a nearby mop bucket.

'How does this stuff keep happening to me?' Percy thought miserably as he dodged a swipe from the now-winged Mrs. Dodds. Soon after Aaron came running in. "What is that?!" He yelled, getting Percy and the fury's attention.

"An accomplice huh? He'll die too!" She screeched before diving towards Aaron. Mr. Brunner and Grover came in (rolling in with the case of Mr. Brunner) and saw her heading towards Aaron with an expression of shock and fear. "Aaron!"

Aaron didn't back down, narrowing his eyes as he rolled to the side. "I don't know what you are, though I do have a good feeling about what it is, but you're not harming my friends!"

"That's Mrs. Dodds!" Aaron looked back in shock. "Wait what the hell?! I actually liked her as a teacher too!" Aaron grunted as he felt the fury's weight crash into him before he kicked her back and rolled to the side.

"What ho Percy!" Mr. Brunner threw a pen to Percy who caught it. "This is just a pen!" "Unclip it!" Percy did so and a sword came out of it with Percy's surprise coming from it.

Aaron grit his teeth. He wasn't really too athletic, just staying enough to be able to pass gym classes. Seemed that needed to change if he was hanging out with Percy he thought to himself before smacking the fury with the mop end of the mop he grabbed.

"If you're going to do something with that sword Perce, now's the time to do it!" Percy came out of his shock as Aaron smacked the fury towards him like a baseball as Percy slashed through her, evaporating her to dust.

The man's voice came to the forefront of Aaron's thoughts. "Well that's a new one." Before he could ask, he noticed it was just him and Percy. Percy clipped the pen before Aaron stared at him, a sigh escaping his lips as he shook his head in amusement. "I leave you for a few minutes and that happens. What am I going to do with you Percy Jackson?"

Percy just laughed in embarrassment, rubbing the back of his head. Aaron's shoulders slumped as he sighed. "Explain what happened while I was gone."

Later

They left the museum to get back on the bus. It was as if the class didn't realize they were missing a teacher. "I hope Miss Kerr whooped your butt Percy!" Nancy shrieked at him, making Aaron stick a finger in his ear to clean it out from the sheer volume of her voice. 'Wait, Miss Kerr?'

They walked up to Mr. Brunner as Aaron felt something try to warp his senses, telling him that it was better to accept that there was no Mrs. Dodds, that what he saw back there was a dream. He fought back against it as Percy handed him back the pen. "Ahh thank you Percy, do remember to bring your own writing utensil though next time for class."

Percy went back to sit with Grover, looking a bit dejected that even his favorite teacher didn't believe him. Aaron, meanwhile, took a seat with Mr. Brunner. "Ahh Mister Carter, how was your trip through the museum? It's a shame you had to miss lunch, but we packed up early due to the weather." "It was fine sir; I went through the other exhibits too like the Egyptian and the Norse ones."

Mr. Brunner nodded his head. Aaron spoke up as the bus took off. "Sir, are you sure about Mrs. Dodds?" He whispered slightly, "I saw her too, and combined with the dreams I've been having, I'm starting to think there's something going on." Mr. Brunner didn't let it show on his face, but he was a bit nervous he was possibly found out.

"Dreams? What have these dreams been about?" Mr. Brunner asked softly, "Nothing too hurtful are they?" Aaron shook his head. "An armored woman that looks a lot like the statue of Athena that I saw in there warning a man in my dreams that something is coming. That man looked like he was fighting a cyclops in one of them."

Mr. Brunner's eyes widened slightly. "I'm sure it's nothing, it might just be from those movies you watched as well as the Greek Mythology that you learned playing a part of it all." Aaron bit his lip from lashing out but nodded. "Possibly. I haven't been sleeping too well as of late. I'm just worried about Percy that's all. His step-father isn't getting any better and I'm worried he might do something drastic to him, me, or Miss Jackson."

Mr. Brunner nodded softly, a grim expression coming across his face. "We can talk about it later."

Days later

"Perseus Jackson, you are going to be the death of me!" Aaron yelled as the two boys, of which Aaron was carrying Grover on his back, and Percy's mom, Sally, ran towards the property line of what looked like a strawberry field. Why were they running you may ask? Because a giant half-man, half-bull creature was chasing them!

To recap, after the incident, Percy's grades were dropping still as Aaron's were still middle of the pack. They overheard a conversation between Grover and Mr. Brunner talking about something happening, they weren't sure what it was. They left the school as Percy got expelled and Aaron figured he'd need the help. Aaron's adoptive parents had allowed him to go with Percy with Aaron's father being adamant about him going.

After that phone call, they rode on the bus that let them off near Percy's street, after it overheated and Grover having a panic attack about some old ladies knitting across the street from the bus. To Aaron's confusion, the old ladies appearance kept changing, not entirely staying on one look.

Sally had come home shortly after they had gotten to Percy's home and had told them that they were going to Montauk for a weeklong vacation, only for it to be interrupted by a massive storm. They drove toward Grover's "summer home" as he had told them after he had found them and gotten in with them, telling Percy about how he had to protect them.

Aaron growled slightly, seeing the car explode from the hill. "We don't have a lot of time. That thing is going to be coming for us right now." They got to the tree, a pine tree that seemed to have a white in glow, as Percy passed through. Aaron and Sally meanwhile hit the barrier, much to Sally's shock that Aaron had hit it.

Aaron handed Grover over to Percy. "Take Grover and get some help! I'll hold him off as long as I can." "I can't leave you two here!" Percy rebelled before Aaron grit his teeth.

Flashback

The man that had plagued Aaron's dreams as well as the warrior Ajax and Amanra were by the shores of Atlantis, with the man's son and the Theocrat of Atlantis with them. "Take the citizens and go!" Ajax spoke up, "We're not going anywhere without you old friend." The man groaned slightly, "Do as I ask please! Take them out of here, make sure the others get on the boat. I'll take care of the cyclops."

Flashback over

"Now Percy! I can take care of the minotaur." Aaron spoke as Sally gasped, seeing the bull man turn their attention to him. Taking out the cloth that he had stored in his coat, he unwrapped it quickly and pulled out two blades. Colada and Tizona, blades that were thought to be lost to time.

He got in a very crummy battle stance, one leg in front of the other with both blades in hand. "Come on then bull! You want a fight, you've got one!" The bull man roared in rage and stampeded towards Aaron, with Percy and Sally looking in on horror.

As the bull man got closer, Aaron dropped his shoulder and tossed him seamlessly over his shoulder, sending him flying towards one of the trees. Acting as quickly as he could, he moved to cut the minotaur's legs to impede his movement.

The minotaur roared in pain and rage. He smacked Aaron back, causing the young man to go flying the opposite direction before gripping Sally. "Mom no!" Percy shouted, unable to do anything. She disappeared into gold dust before Aaron got up. He gripped his swords tightly, taking a deep breath as it had taken the wind out of him when he was smacked away.

Aaron narrowed his eyes calmly as the minotaur rampaged towards him. "What was that you said before? Something about hanging my head from your ship?" The man's voice came to the forefront of Aaron's mind, the minotaur in front of Aaron turning into a smaller one with a sword for a hand.

"Your head will decorate a mast, even if I am not the one to lash it there!" The smaller minotaur lunged at him.

Aaron pulled his swords up and as the minotaur was on him, he thrusted both of them into the minotaur's chest, causing the bull man to let out a grunt of pain, stumbling backwards. Aaron worked quickly, pulling one out of the minotaur's torso and stabbing it into the minotaur's head, right into its brain.

Its eyes widened, falling backwards with a groan of pain as death claimed it. Aaron panted heavily, falling back on his butt against the tree. Hearing the rush of footsteps and hoofs, he looked towards the tree line to see the desperately needed reinforcements arriving late. Gasps and murmurs were head as Aaron's consciousness started to fade. The last things he heard was a girl's voice and Mr. Brunner's, "H-how did he? A mortal?" "Get them to the big house. You've done well Aaron."
