Chapter 6
"Bloom?" Miriam asked as she looked at her daughter. She detached from her husband and slowly made her way forward. Bloom just stared at the ground
"Hey Mom." Bloom nervously replied, not daring to look up at her parents. She just knew they would be mad, or not understand her position, but Bloom knew this conversation had to happen.
"What are you doing Bloom? Why are you dressed like that?" Miriam asked. Bloom started to respond but Oritel interrupted.
"She's dressed like an assassin because she is one." Oritel started moving towards his daughter. He stopped right in front of her as Bloom kept looking down. Oritel lifts her head up to look in her eyes. He sees Bloom crying and pulls her into a tight hug.
"Shh... It'll all be alright dear." Bloom pulls away and looks up at her father.
"You're not mad?" Bloom asks as tears are still streaming down her cheeks. Oritel raises his hand and wipes away her tears.
"Of course not honey. I'd never be mad at my daughter. You just saved my life from people who I thought were friends. Now I see that they're the real enemy. If you of all people are with the assassin's, then they must be the right side"
"Thank you father." Bloom replies as she rests her head on his shoulder. Miriam moves closer and hugs them both.
"Mom, Dad, you guys have to stop supporting the Templars. You must see now that they're the bad guys." Bloom pleaded to her parents.
"Don't worry about that my dear. After this attack we will do everything possible to help your cause against them." Miriam answers.
Suddenly the trio hear a large group of footsteps moving towards the room. Bloom, knowing she doesn't have time for her illusion spell, puts up her hood quickly. The door bursts open to reveal the Winx and Specialists.
"Back away assassin!" Layla yells as she charges an attack.
"Princess Layla I command you to stand down now!" Oritel orders. Grudgingly, she follows his order and releases her spell.
Miriam looks at Bloom confusingly, then puts it together. 'They don't know it's her, do they?'
"Victoria, what are you doing?" Flora asks. Oritel and Miriam seem confused at the use of the name, but Bloom stepped forward.
"I'm doing what I must to defeat the Templars. I came here and found their leader and troops attacking Oritel. I saved his life, and in return he has agreed to help me." Bloom replied. Layla became enraged by this.
"Your kingdom had the longest standing agreement with the Templars! How can you turn your backs on them?" Layla yelled across the room.
"They attacked me! I would not give them the money they wanted because it would ruin this kingdom! And what did they do? They tried to kill me in the hope my successor would agree to their demands!" Oritel responded.
"I can't believe this! Assassin! You may have turned Sparx, but you will never corrupt Tides!" Layla screamed as she walked out. The rest of the group oh heroes just stood there awkwardly.
"Do any of you agree with her? If you do, then feel free to leave now" Oritel asked the group. They all looked around at each other. Not saying a word, Techna, Timmy, and Brandon stared to leave. Stella moved towards Brandon.
"Why are you leaving?" She asked on the verge of tears.
"I won't go against the decision of my King. I'm sorry Stel." Brandon replied. The three left leaving the rest.
"So, many of you are known to support the Templars. Why stay?" Bloom asked the remaining group.
"If they attacked a King in his own palace because he didn't give them what they wanted, then they seem like bad guys to me." Musa answered. The rest of the group seemed to nod in agreement.
"Now that's the Winx I've heard so much about!" Bloom replied.
"Where will you go now?" Miriam asked Bloom. She was about to answer when an explosion shook the palace walls.
"To find out what the Templars are doing." Bloom replied as she sprinted out the door. Everyone on else in the room, including the Royal Couple, followed after her. As they arrived out the front door they see a tall man with long strawberry blond hair and a long overcoat using fife magic to attack the palace.
"That's not possible!" Stella yells out in shock.
"But that's him!" Flora yells.
"Baltor." Bloom says calmly.
"Long time no see Oritel." Baltor casually replies as he throws a fireball at the group. They all moved out of the way in time, but Bloom just stands there. Right before the fireball can hit she raises a shield that easily blocks the attack.
"So you're the assassin that Vidic wants dead." Baltor states as he charges a new fireball.
"You're working for Vidic? The mighty wizard stouping that low?" Bloom asked mockingly.
"Don't mock me girl! I can make your death very slow and very painful." Baltor responded with a dark look on his face. Baltor throws the fireball at Bloom again, but before she could do anything Oritel jumps in and deflects it with his sword.
"I see how evil Vidic and the Templars are now. I don't know how they revived you Baltor, but I will end you again!" Oritel called out. In reply Baltor starts laughing.
"Please try! The only one who could even stop me is Bloom, and she still wouldn't. She never had the will to destroy me." Baltor replied. Oritel looked behind him at Bloom. He couldn't see her face. 'What is he talking about?'
Bloom just stood there in shock thinking, 'Why? He said he wouldn't come back. He said he didn't want to hurt me. He was afraid of ruining my credit as the hero in the magic dimension. But here is his almost admitting to the world our secret. Why is trying to break my heart? I thought he loved me like I loved him.'
AUTHOR'S NOTE: Hello. Coming back with another cliff hanger! I'm not going to make excuses or more promises that I obviously won't keep. I graduate a month from this Friday, and that has all my attention. I've been working on this chapter when I can since New Year. My plan is to work on the stories when I can, but once I'm out of High School I'm going to finish all my stories.
