Flashback:

Stone Pillar, Sea of Tides

Baltor just disappeared after attacking Layla. The other girls landed with her and are helping Layla. Bloom however is lost in her thoughts.

'He blinded Layla! He's terrorizing this world! If he isn't stopped then he'll just move on to the rest of the realms! But... Why would he save me? Why would he care about a drowning fairy?'

Cloud Tower, Griffin's Office

Flora and Musa are both trapped in Baltor's spells. Bloom is filled with rage. Here stands the man who caused Techna's inprisonment. The man who helped the Ancestresses destroy her home realm. The only man left who can help her find her parents.

"Do you want to fight, or do you want to hear about your parents?" Baltor asked as he leaned against the desk.

Bloom wanted revenge so much, but the desire to possibly learn about her parents was stronger.

"I'm listening." Bloom growled as she let her magic fade from her palms. Baltor moved towards Bloom. She stood there in a rigid stance as he approaches.

"I have a proposition, dear Bloom. You want to find your parents, and I can help." Baltor paused gauging Bloom's reaction.

"And what do you want in return?" Bloom asked. 'There's a catch. There has to be.'

"I just... I want out." Baltor lowered his head after just whispering. Bloom was confused by his actions. Isn't he the wizard that wants to rule the world? What does he want out of?

"What do you mean?" Bloom asked.

"I wasn't always like this, evil and twisted. With the Ancestresses gone I have a chance to be free. This is what I want." Baltor answered.

Bloom reached out towards him. She placed her hand on his on his cheek. He leaned into her touch and open his eyes. Bloom stared into his golden eyes and felt something inside. She felt drawn into the depths of those golden orbs. At this point she knew she had to come back. Not just to learn about her parents, but about him as well.

"Okay Baltor." Bloom all but whispered. She saw a look of happiness on his face that she could never have imagined.

"So what happened to my parents?" Bloom asked.

"We don't have enough time to talk in depth today. Your friends will be here soon enough. Return alone when you are ready." Baltor replied. He walked back to in front of the desk.

"Now, I need you to hit me with all you have. I'm going to use an opposittus spell and encase you in ice." Taking note of Bloom's expression, Baltor continued. "Don't worry, the two in here will be released shortly after you're trapped. You'll be fine."

"Alright." Bloom replied. She focused and channeled all the power she could. She forced all that power towards Baltor and suddenly everything was cold.

Alfea

It's the middle of the night. Bloom made sure all the girls were asleep and grabbed the barrier buster. Once she was away from the school she made a strait line to Cloud Tower.

Bloom couldn't wait to see Baltor. Over the past few weeks they have become close friends.

Baltor is sitting in his office waiting for Bloom. He hasn't seen her since before she left for Pyros.

Suddenly there's a knock on the door. Baltor gets up and speed walks to the door. He opens it to see Bloom standing there. He pulls her in and closes the door quickly.

Before she can say anything, Baltor pulls her into a tight hug. This is the first time Baltor has been so open towards her. She's usually the emotional one.

"I'm so glad to know you're alright. Pyros is a very dangerous place. I was so worried about you." Baltor said as he stroked Bloom's hair. Bloom leaned into his touch.

"I'm okay Baltor, I promise. I got my Enchantix thanks to the Trix you sent after me." Bloom said excitedly as she looked up into his eyes.

"That's a great achievement Bloom. You earned your Enchantix out of pure will power, not sacrifice. That doesn't happen very often." Baltor said as he finally let go of Bloom. "Now, I do believe we should get to the matter at hand."

"We've seen each other in secret like this for a few weeks now. Each time we meet, we talk about my parents. We've planned on how to get them out of Obsidian. But what we haven't done yet is figured out how to help you." Bloom said as she moved to sit on the couch. Baltor followed and sat next to her.

"No, we haven't." Baltor agreed. Bloom could tell he was nervous.

"So let's not waste anymore time. I remember you said that you weren't always evil. What happened? What was your life like back before?" Bloom asked. Baltor reached over and gently grabbed Bloom's hand.

"I guess it would be easiest to start at the beginning." Baltor sighed. Bloom could tell talking about his past bothered him, but if he was going to open up to her she wouldn't turn away.

"When I was younger, I lived on Sparx. One of the top of my class, I went on to further my education in one of the most famous colleges in the realm. It was always considered a great honor to be accepted. I ended having quite a few class with both your parents, Oritel and Miriam. We were great friends. After we graduated you father moved on to become King and marrying your mother. I moved on to teach Magix History at the same college I had graduated from.

We stayed in touch as much as we could. I would frequently be invited to formal events at the palace. I met my wife at one of those." Baltor paused.

"I'm sorry. I didn't know you were ever married" Bloom apologized sympathetically. Baltor replied,

"Don't worry my dear. You couldn't have known. We were happily married for five years."

"What was her name? What happened to her?" Bloom asked. Baltor looked away for a moment. When he turned back Bloom could see him holding back tears.

"Her name was Victoria, and The Ancestresses happened. I came home after a late night of work to find my home in shambles. I immediately started searching for her fearing the worst. My fears were warranted.

'She was nowhere in the house. I went to the Royal Guard to file a missing persons report to find that they were holding her. Victoria was charged with murder and went to a trial in front of Oritel. I fought for her with the best lawyers I could afford, but she was found guilty. Oritel sentenced her to a public execution.

'The guards allowed me to visit with her the night before, and her last request is she wanted to see me in her last moment. I fulfilled her request and attended the execution. I was the last thing she saw before her head rolled off the block."

Bloom sat there in shock. "That's terrible."

"And at the time I blamed Oritel. I should have known better, but I was filled with rage at him. That's when The Ancestresses approached me. They promised me great power which I could get revenge for Victoria. And I fell into their trap. I learned later that they were the ones that framed my love. By that point I was in too deep."

Bloom reached out towards Baltor and placed her hand on his cheek. She pulled his face foward until she was staring straight into his gold eyes.

"I'm here for you." Baltor reached out and pulled Bloom's face closer. He suddenly leaned in and kissed her on the lips. As he tried to pull away Bloom pulled him and started kissing him.

"Bloom, I care about you more than anyone in a long time. I never want to hurt you." Baltor said as they pulled apart. Bloom just stared into his eyes.

"I love you too Baltor." And they kissed.

Magix Museum

Bloom and Baltor had broken off from the Trix and Winx fighting to have their '1v1 fight'.

"Are you okay Bloom?" Baltor asked worryingly. A fireball he threw towards her had nicked her thigh.

"I'm fine. My main source of power is fire too. I don't burn that easily." Bloom replied as she hugged him.

"Can you blame me for worrying?" Baltor asked as he kissed her on the cheek.

"No, but I can blame you if the Trix hurt anyone." Bloom threatened with a mock angry face. Baltor raised his hands up, "I surrender great fairy of the Dragon Flame."

Bloom stared for only a moment before she started laughing. Baltor joined in and the two hugged.

Bloom pulled away from him. "We should get back to the fight."

"Before we part, we need to talk." Baltor suddenly appeared serious. "What about Baltor?"

"Have you ever thought about what we have?" Baltor asked.

"What do you mean?" Bloom asked. She didn't understand what he meant by that.

"We can never have a public relationship. It would ruin your reputation at the good guy." Baltor explained.

"Baltor, don't worry. When the magic dimension learns the truth, I'm sure they'll understand. You're doing a great thing by helping me free my people." Bloom reached up and cupped Baltor's face.

"You're such an optimistic person." Baltor chuckled as he pulled Bloom back into a hug.

"And you love me for it. Come on, let's go."

Baltor's Inner Sanctum

"Baltor, this is it." Bloom said as she approached Baltor. He's sitting on the smoke ground exhausted. Bloom just finished releasing him from The Ancestresses' control with her fairy dust.

"I know Bloom. I can't stay in the public view any longer. Your friends won't stop at this point." Baltor spoke softly. It was clear that he was exhausted. Bloom crouched down next to him.

"We both know the only way to keep you safe is to fake your death." Bloom said as she pulled him into her, leaning his head against her shoulder.

"And we both know that once I'm gone we can't see each other again, or risk exposing us to the world." Baltor replied as he leaned into her.

"I know. And that's why you must go and I can't. I have to save my parents, my realm, like I've saved you." Bloom said through tears looking down at her lover.

"Then this is where it ends. Someday I promise to return and make amends to your parents. But for now, I leave for you. Goodbye my sweet Bloom." Baltor said as he pulled Bloom into a fierce kiss.

"I'll wait for you." Bloom whispered as he pulled away. Baltor cupped her face with his hands. "Please don't. Live your life to the fullest extent. Never let me hold you back." Baltor pulled away as he and Bloom both stood in silent tears.

Baltor focused his last amount of strength and releases it. The magic forced Bloom out and created a light show to disguise his teleport.

Hidden Cave on Tides

Sky is holding the collapsed Bloom in his lap. The entire group is worried about their friend. Baltor was destroyed with an explosion that seemed to start from the inside, but Bloom remained still.

"She can't be gone." Stella cried as she sat near Bloom.

"What do we do if she is?" Musa asked in tears.

"You don't have to worry about that." Sky looked down to see Bloom slowly opening her eyes.

"Bloom!" The group chorused as they all rushed to her side. They started bombarding her with questions, but one caught her attention.

"So is Baltor gone?" Layla questioned looking towards her. Bloom looked towards the area of the cave where Baltor was standing to see the scorched ground.

"Yeah, he's gone." Bloom answered as she leaned into Sky's shoulder.

Present Day, Sparx Palace

"What do you mean Baltor?" Oritel asked.

"Of course she never told you, why would she?" Baltor seemed to say to himself.

"You want me dead Vidic? Well you'll have to do it yourself!" Bloom yelled. She then charged forward towards him.

"Baltor, get her!" Vidic commanded. Baltor immediately descended from the sky and landed between the assassin and Vidic.

Bloom slammed into him full force. She held tight then focused her magic. In a flash they both disappeared.

Bloom and Baltor landed roughly in the middle of the forest, several miles away from the palace. Baltor recovered from the landing and stood up. He saw the assassin struggling to get up several feet away from him. Baltor slowly stalked over to where she lays.

"This is the end for you." Baltor said with a sneer as he drew a Templar sword from under his coat. As he approached the assassin, she rolled into her back. Her hood fell at the same time, revealing to Baltor her identity. "Bloom?" Baltor gasped.

"Would you really kill me my love?" Bloom asked.

AUTHOR'S NOTE: Sorry for the delay guys. I'm now a high school graduate! It's surrel sometimes, I just can't believe it still! I spent a bit of time re-writing this chapter too. Here it is though. A little glimpse into Bloom's and Baltor's past relations. Now just what will happen between them in the forest?
