Chapter 11

"I look forward to seeing you here." Oritel said as he closed his holo-communication with King Radius of Solaria. He turned towards his wife sitting next to him in a spare chair.

"That's all of them Oritel." Miriam noted.

"Yes. All three of the Templar supporting royal families will be here tomorrow evening to listen to our plea." Oritel sighed.

"I have faith Oritel. We can end all of this peacefully by showing them that the Templars are not to be trusted." Miriam said trying to sooth her husband.

"I had the hardest time convincing King Teredor to even agree to come. I know that the Tides Royal family have always been stubbornly loyal, but that was infuriating." Oritel said. Miriam could tell her husband was exhausted.

"You should rest my love." Miriam suggested.

"I can't, at least not yet. I have to speak with Bloom." Oritel said as he leaned back into his chair.

Suddenly there was a knock at the door to Oritel's office.

"Enter!" Oritel called to the visitor. As the door opened Bloom, in her assassin attire, appeared through the doorway with the guarding Specialists watching her closely. Bloom closed the door behind her and moved towards her parents.

"How is the organizing of the meeting going?" Bloom asked as she lowered her hood and took a seat in front of the desk.

"I've managed to convince everyone to meet here tomorrow evening." Oritel said somewhat formally. Bloom could tell something was still bothering him.

"What's wrong father?" Bloom asked.

"The Tides royal family is very stubborn. It will take a lot to convince them and I would rather solve all of this without any more bloodshed." Oritel answered.

"I know, and I do too, but as long as the Templars have a way of entering the Magic Dimension they may bring the war here. Do you have any idea how they did it?" Bloom asked.

"The only way I can think of is that they somehow have a Magix Transport System, but I have no idea how they could have." Oritel answered.

"That would make somethings make more sense. The Templars have had an uncanny ability to arrive to places much quicker that Earth transportation should allow." Bloom pondered.

"There is something else I wanted to discuss with you Bloom." Oritel said.

"What's up?" Bloom asked.

"What are your plans for Sky?" Oritel asked.

"I... I haven't figured that out yet." Bloom stuttered, looking away.

"Bloom dear, if you no longer love him he deserves to hear it from you." Miriam said.

"I know, and I will. I just don't think now would be the best time to tell him." Bloom replied.

"It's your decision. Just let me warn you that a feeling of betrayal is worse than just a broken heart." Oritel said cryptically.

'Bloom we have a problem' Baltor said telepathically.

'What's up Baltor?' Bloom asked telepathically.

'Vidic didn't show on Eraklyon. He sent a replacement who has given Sky a type of storage devise. The man told Sky that it contains evidence that the Assassin and I are working together and that it reveals the assassin's true identity.' Baltor said.

"Bloom!" Miriam exclaimed before Bloom could respond.

"Uh... sorry I spaced out." Bloom said, trying to conceal her Dragon Fire Connection to Baltor.

"Don't worry about hiding it with us." Miriam said, trying to calm Bloom.

"You know?" Bloom asked surprised.

"Yes. You were telepathically communicating with Baltor through the Dragon Fire Connection, right?" Oritel asked. Bloom simply nodded in agreement.

"We haven't used that in a long time, have we Oritel?" Miriam said.

"It's very useful in political sessions to be able to silently communicate between each other." Oritel said.

"So you guys have a connection like Baltor and I?" Bloom asked, trying to clarify the situation.

"Yes. It forms when two users of the Dragon Fire truly love each other. The problem though is it's something that can only form once. Even if you didn't fall in love with Baltor you never could have connected to one of us since we're already connected. Knowing that you two developed the connection makes me feel better about you and Baltor being together." Miriam explained and then hugged her daughter.

"So what were you and Baltor talking about?" Oritel asked.

"Apparently Vidic sent Sky a type of flash drive with evidence connecting Baltor to the assassin and my expose me as the assassin." Bloom said.

"If that evidence is shown tomorrow at the meeting it could ruin everything. No one will trust us if they think Baltor is influencing us." Oritel said.

"So I need to go and destroy the evidence." Bloom said as she stood from her chair.

"Might I suggest something?" Miriam asked.

"Of course mother." Bloom answered.

"Perhaps you should go see Sky, and not the assassin. You may just be allowed in if you're just visiting instead of trying to infiltrate the palace."

"That's a great idea Mom." Bloom said. She cast a spell, leaving her standing in a blue dress instead of her assassin robes.

"Be careful Bloom." Oritel warned.

"I always am." Bloom said as she teleported.

"I worry about her." Miriam said.

"Her confidence may be based around real abilities, but I fear she may be too confident." Oritel said.

Eraklyon:

Bloom appeared on the outskirts of the palace. Bloom pulled her phone out of her purse and dialed Sky. The phone rang several times until Sky finally answered.

"Hey Bloom, where have you been? No one has been able to get in touch with you."

"I'm sorry Sky. I had some family business to attend to on Earth." Bloom answered.

"Where are you now?" Sky asked. Bloom could just barely detect a bit of anger in his voice. 'Is he angry about me missing of did he look at the flash drive?'

"That's the thing actually, I'm outside your palace. Can I come in and see you? There's something I want to talk to you about." Bloom asked.

"That shouldn't be a problem. I'll send Brandon out to meet you at the front gate." Sky answered.

"Great! See you soon." Bloom replied as she hung up.

'I really hope he hasn't seen the contents of the flash drive.' Bloom thought to herself as she made her way to the front gate.

Author's Note: Hi everyone! Here's a new chapter! I actually re-wrote this when I thought of a new direction I wanted to take this story, so I'm sorry I took so long. Semester's almost over so I hope to have some more time to get back to writing.
