Intro
In the near future, Medarots (or Medabots) are many kinds of robots from cutting-edge technology. Inside the basic frame called "tinpet", an A.I. Medal is inserted, giving it spirit.
Furthermore, the combination of different Medaparts can create all kinds of abilities.

Prologue
But in this tale, nothing is what it seems to this particular person who becomes the Tenryos' son.
Naruto - a warrior without a full name, had many hardships to make it this far; orphaned at the tender age of 3½ hours after his parents sacrificed themselves to save their only son from the Kyuubi's rage before it got sealed into his abdomen. The village didn't treat him right after abusing him over the years as he grew up.
Naruto tried to study hard, but the people in the village wouldn't let him be the ninja that he wished to be, all because he held the half of the Kyuubi in the seal on his abdomen. He couldn't find any good friends because they either didn't want him around, were forced by their parents and guardians to keep him away from them, or they would put him in a fix where could have been killed by deadly traps and/or enemy ninja.
He was eventually deputized as Genin after an scandalous incident, but his assigned Jonin teacher and his teammates often put him down for something he did or didn't do.
A few years and a few careless Hokagés later, by the time Naruto turned 16, the world that he knew was doomed. The other 8 Jinchūriki have their Bijuu forcibly removed at the cost of the holders' lives and possibly their souls. Konoha was ravaged by the neighboring lands, including Iwa, Kumo, Oto with Orochimaru, and the Akatsuki.
Danzo Shimura (the current Hokagé) had sold Naruto out to the Akatsuki, but the young ninja managed to escape and is hiding from one such person from the Akatsuki by the name of Madara Uchiha - or rather his true name, Obito Uchiha.
Obito has Naruto being put on the spot by stabbing and pinning his hands and feet through the ground with long blades (with his Achilles' tendons slashed for good measure) as his Bijuu was forcibly removed from his seal. He has nobody (no friends or allies) to help him now as he fights for his life.
The Kyuubi was then forcibly removed, leaving Naruto at Death's Door, but just as the Juubi was reassembled, one of his partners, (Black) Zetsu, betrayed Obito and devoured him in his black substance as he watched his "mother" return to the land of the living after her body was separated into 9 Bijuu and 1 husk known as the Gedo Mazo. But when Zetsu was about to devour the weakened Naruto, Kaguya grabbed and banished Zetsu (because he's not her real son the moment he tried to tempt her), Danzo (who tried to get away with his bandage-hiding Sharingan eyes but couldn't escape in time), and the other instigators to the realm of unspeakable pain, undying worms and maggots eating their victims alive, and tormenting, unquenchable flames; reserved for the worst of all evil. Soon, she had the entire world drawn into a black hole, like water flowing down the drain, leaving nothing but a distant memory.
In the realm between dimensions, Kaguya took pity on the dying and unfortunate Naruto who is very much like a great-grandson that she never had, who worked hard to save the lands, as well as the other Jinchūriki, but the people wouldn't give them any dues and their wars using the Jinchūriki and the Bijuu had torn the lands and lifestyles so much that they couldn't advance any further in life's wonders.
Soon, Kaguya's sons Hagoromo and Hamura, her grandsons Asura and Indra (who learned their lessons the hard way after getting disciplined), and her husband decided that their last world was covered in too much corruption, negligence, and evil deeds, so they took Naruto's soul and sent it to another world to be reborn and that he would have a better life before returning to the heavens.
They pray that Naruto would become a strong, intelligent, and kind person in the new world as they rebuild their own, by the Highest's blessings.

[Medabots World, somewhere in the Ginjō Ward, Japan]
In the Year 21XX, Month XX, Day XO, Chidori and Jozō¹ Tenryo prayed for a miracle after countless failures of fertility issues by regular means. One day, they decided to take the chance of using in-vitro using some genetic modifications (thanks to modern technology) for the mother and unborn child to help facilitate the procedure… with a prominent success.
Time goes by as the baby was later revealed to be a boy and after months of preparations, (and the decision to go to the maternity ward) the christened Naruto Tenryo was soon born into the world. He has blonde hair, blue eyes, slightly tanned skin, which is uncommon in their country and are recessive traits from Chidori's side of the family, but the new parents are proud to have a son in their lives. (Maybe they want to have another sibling for Naruto sometime later.)

[Time Marches On]
Naruto Tenryo went through a lot of things and "growing up" in his life. He learns about the many different varieties of Medarots (his first book was a certain catalog) and their different kinds of medals that are the "souls" to their Tinpet systems.
He has some friends that he met in nursery school, including Arika Amazaké (his first friend and has a rather bossy attitude at times, but likes to play with cameras), and Kikuhimé (a nice girl before becoming a bit of a bully and later formed the [Screws'] gang as the Alpha Female to prove her worth, mostly against Naruto).
He is also friends with Hikaru Agata (a family friend) who often brings his Metabee to play with him a few times and brought him a copy of the Articles (Rules) of Robattling and an extra catalog of Medaparts, tools, and many kinds of parts and maintenance that associate with the Medarots.
But then, one day, when Naruto was about 2½, there was an incident that affected the whole Medarot World: The 10 Days of Darkness.
This entire affair all happened in the middle of the World Medarot Tournament. There was an unusual sunspot that made parts of the world feel the strange radiation, mainly affecting the Medarots as they went completely out of control and attacked many civilians and Medafighters alike. Many people were either terribly hurt or possibly have gotten killed in the massacre.
Back to Naruto's scenario, an army of Medarots were walking towards him and his friends at Nursery School. The other kids couldn't help but feel scared as they cried and sobbed, wanting their parents. He sees Arika and Kikuhimé practically scared as the Medarots come closer and closer...and closer…
What the girls saw really left themselves in awe as they hear young Naruto stand up to the opposition and say, "You'we not being vewy nice! Medawots not supposed to make peopwe and my fweinds cwy! I tewwing you to stop!"
The Medarots couldn't and wouldn't stop as one group drew their weapons, another group cocking and charging their shooting parts - aiming to fire, and the rest were preparing to pull their armed punches and weapons, not caring if any toddlers or infants were in the way.
"CEASE FUNCTION!" Naruto yelled one more time with feeling and the Medarots short-circuited and were stopped in their tracks as their medals were ejected from their bodies, saving not only the nursery school, but the whole district from certain disaster. Naruto check on the downed Medarots and mimickingly said from what he watched on TV (as the referee) and raised his hand, "Funcshun ceased!"
Eventually, the other Medarots across the world felt the intense energy from the safety lock code across the world and they stopped moving.
Naruto's mother and the other kids' parents hurryingly came by and picked up their kids and were glad that everybody was alright.
Chidori is practically in tears as she sees him with Kikuhimé and Arika hugging him from nearly losing their best friend. She wondered how in the world did all of this happen. Chidori also knows that her husband is busy with his job of keeping the peace with the Medarots somewhere.
The 10 Days of Darkness eventually came to pass and the people blamed Hikaru Agata for the mess, even though he managed to stop it, at the cost of losing his partner, Metabee. But Naruto knew that Hikaru wasn't the one to blame. He blames the bad men that had done this terrible deed, but he doesn't know who exactly. He made a promise to regain the trust between Medarots and people... someday.

Chapter 1
Standby to Attack, You Piece of Junk Medarot!
About 8 Years Later…
[Night, Highway leading towards Ginjō City]
The Rubberrobo Gang have returned and are back in action, after a long hiatus, as they pursue a businessman carrying an attaché case the size of a ½ academy cello. They crashed the man's car and knocked him out to abscond the case to find not only a strange tinpet that is thinner and alien-like (unlike the current tinpet models) but also a medal of the B - Horned Beetle (Larva) Medal.
Unfortunately, the Rubberrobo gang were taken by surprise by means of smoke bombs and fake medals thrown by the infamous thief: Phantom Retort. He grabbed the case and made his getaway with a volley of tear gas bombs and flying on his "beautiful" balloon.
"So long, suckers!" he taunted the enemies.
As the smoke clears, the Rubberrobos chase after Retort.

However, that was a decoy when the real Phantom Thief Retort was actually under the nearby bridge by means of a grappling hook tethered to a wire. His client, name undisclosed, wanted him to look after the newer tinpet, Medawatch, and its rare medal before delivering them to their rightful person. However, the case wasn't shut all the way as the Horned Beetle Medal started to drop into the river.
"D-d-d-dammit!" Retort cursed his bad luck and his carelessness.
And just when things couldn't get any worse for the Phantom, his grappling hook gave way and he fell into the water, just like a rock.
*Ka-splash!*
-Medarots-
[At the Ginjō¹ Elementary School, 14:55 hours]
It was another rambunctious day at the Elementary School as the Student Council (run by a group of 5th and 6th Grade Students) with their BOK-type, [Dr. Study²], robattling against Kikuhimé (5th Grade, leader of the Screws gang; often accompanied with a scrawny, spiky-haired boy named Iwanoi and a laid-back "plump" kid named Kagamiyama) and her CAT-type Medarot, [Peppercat].
A busty 5th Grader Arika² (in her pink overalls and white shirt) was searching for Naruto to help her with her photoscooping. Her classmates said that he went on ahead with his drone camera and device set up to record the match. So she managed to run down the stairs to the battlefield with a crowd of students.
[Outside, the schoolgrounds]
As she manages to push through the crowd, she finds her classmate Naruto (5th Grade and unofficial assisting member of the newspaper club; wears a long-neck orange shirt with a black Metabee silhouette and black shorts) getting a front row seat on the action as both sides are raring to fight.
"What kept you, Arika-chan?" he asked his classmate.
"Impeccable timing, Naruto, as usual," she replied as she set her digital camera up.
"At least, Yama-kong (Otokoyama) didn't show up and interfere with the matches. You know how he hates Medarots in school for a reason, ya know."
And he watches one side of the action with his bird-shaped drone camera, nicknamed [Laserbeak], from the sky view and on his device.
-Medarots-
On one side, a confident Kikuhimé² says, "We have a deal, right? If I win, the Screws will borrow the unused room for a while!"

"Sh-shut up!" The coke-bottle glasses-wearing boy with an authorized armband shot back, "As President of the Student Council, I cannot allow you to break school protocols! Today, we will put an end to this nonsense once and for all!"

Iwanoi mocked the opponents and said, "Oooh~! Are you so rattled, Mr. SC President, huh? Our oyabi (boss) is strong! If you mess with her, your Medarot will end up in the scrap heap in no time! Right~, Oyabi?"
Kikuhimé has a tic mark (💢), proving that she absolutely annoyed at her subordinate's mouthing and she socked Iwanoi with a right hook and yelled, "Will you stop patronizing me‽ I told you to stop calling me "Oyabi", dammit!"
In the middle of the field is the Robattle A-Class referee of the WMA (World Medarot Association), one Mr. Uruchi³, who introduced himself and declared, "In a few moments, an official Submission Robattle will be commencing. The rules are simple: Pit your Medarots against each other. The first to stop the opponent from functioning will be declared the winner. Moreover, both sides will have to wager one Medapart from his or her Medarot before we begin the battle and it will be for keeps. Are we in terms with this agreement?"
"Of course!" Kikuhimé said.
"That's exactly what I want!" the high-strung SC President replied.
Mr. Uruchi then declared, "Very well then. Robattle, FIGHT!"
And there they go! Peppercat and Dr. Study are charging at each other and they soon collide. Peppercat was sent flying from the impact, showing signs of heavy damage to her left arm (Light Blow), just enough to jettison⁴, signaling that the part has ceased function, but she managed to regain her footing.
At the ringside seats, Arika commented as she took a few photos, "What speed! It's taking all that Peppercat has just to dodge those attacks."
"But something's not right," Naruto noticed and Arika wondered why, "Dr. Study's parts are mainly for support and his wheeled legs have the advantage in this type of field, but he isn't really meant for offense. So then, how did Peppercat take that much significant damage?"
The SC President started to gain confidence and said, "Time to finish this, Dr. Study!"
And his Medarot made a turn before charging at Peppercat, but Kikuhimé smirked as she had other ideas, "Jump, Peppercat!"
Peppercat dodged the incoming attack gracefully and kept on being evasive as she moved all over the place.
"Improbable!" the SC President declared, "How can Peppercat have this kind of speed‽"
Kikuhimé has her sights right where she wanted, "Light Jab!"
And Peppercat got above Dr. Study and used her good right arm to shock her opponent in the sweet spot (the Head Part) as Dr. Study's Medaparts were jettisoned, leaving the Tinpet⁵ lying face down on the ground, and his Phoenix Medal was ejected.
"Function ceased!" Mr. Uruchi declared, "The winner is Kikuhimé and her Peppercat!"
The crowd of students roared and applauded.
The SC President picked up his disrepaired Medarot and Medal and complained, "Why‽ One day, I'll make you follow the rules and school regulations! Remember this!"
And he and the SC members left the scene, but not before leaving their wagered part, [Left Arm - Cut Radar].
The Screws finally won both wagers and got to use the empty room next to SC room, but when Iwanoi made another slip up (calling her "Oyabi" again), Kikuhimé put the said idiot in his place with lightning-fast kicks, from playing a lot of Street Fighter™ and reminiscing the famous character, "How many times do I have to tell you, stupid!" She then ejects her Medarot's medal and self to put them into storage.
As the students broke up the crowd and the referee left to find more sanctioned Robattles, Naruto put away Laserbeak in its transformed camera state in his pocket after he stopped recording. Arika said after taking a few shots, "Just as expected from the Screws' boss. That was an amazing fight."
"That would be so, Akira-chan," Naruto agreed to disagree, "But to achieve that kind of speed, Peppercat has to suffer more than just a few scratches after dropping its armor rating. If Kiku-chan had paid better attention, her Peppercat wouldn't have been toast the moment she got hit with a sweet, solid blow. Sure, she modified her Medarot with an OK job, but the balancing is just not in the right places, ya know."
"Oh, really, Na-ru-to-kun," Kikuhimé said as she approached him and Arika from behind after she overheard the conversation, "You sure know how to talk big, do you? Then how about back that bravado up by fighting me, hmm?"
Explanation
Naruto, Arika, and Kikuhimé were good friends growing up. However, their lives are changing the moment they start 4th Grade. Naruto started his hobby of maintaining and modifying Medarots from Hikaru's childhood friend Nae, so he started a small mobile business for a fair price, as well as making his inventions.
In the meantime, Arika and Kikuhimé were constantly fighting each other to get their close boy-space-friend just to take their friendships one step further.
Arika started to have boobs at the start of the school year, while Kikuhimé's hips and waist are getting rather more profound than her rival's. (That happened before and after gym class as they changed clothes.)
Both girls are rather envious of each other's "features" and wanted to see if their best friend would go for a girl on physical attraction, to which they have yet to see the results.
"Oh, what a pity, Oyabi," Iwanoi mockingly said, "Poor Tenryo doesn't doesn't have a single Medarot nor Medapart on him!"
"Well, FYI, you guys," Naruto replied with a frown and angry slitted eyes, "I haven't decided which Medarot I should start with. Sure, I saved my allowances just to get one, but there's just too many choices to consider, ya know! I'm sure I'll get myself a Medarot somehow!"
"Oh? And how soon would it be?" Kikuhimé questioned while she moved a little closer.
"Well, it won't be today, if that's what you're getting, Kiku-chan! And that aside, I've been promised by my mom that I have to go to the grocery store to pick up a few things before coming back home, ya know. I also have to help Arika-chan with her club duties as its "incumbent" member. So cool it, okay?"
So the Screws decided to leave because Naruto had other important things to do than to lose face to them without a Medarot. Iwanoi wanted to taunt Naruto further, but Kagamiyama warned him that Kikuhimé is going to bust his chops again and send him to the cleaners, if he doesn't keep his attitude under control - courtesy of the tic marks (💢) showing on her fist.
(That, and Kagamiyama and Naruto are good, casual friends.)
-Medarots-
While going through the city streets, Arika and Naruto are walking their way home after finishing their extracurricular activities.
Naruto is wondering which Medarot and Medal would be best together, like Kikuhimé's Peppercat and the Queen Medal (great for using Thunder/Ice (Stop) attacks), Arika's Sailor-Multi and her Class 2 Horned Beetle Medal (great for mid to long ranged shooting/snipe attacks), or even Kagamiyama's Keithturtle and his Class 1 Tortoise Medal (best for laser beam/optic attacks), but he senses something not right with Iwanoi and his Cyandog; they are practically wimps for some reason for the last few months since they got started, probably one of the lowest seeds overall.
In spite of this, Arika wondered how her friend got through with his life as she said, "You know, Naruto, thinking about it, you're pretty much the only kid without a Medarot these days. As a fellow student, it's pretty weird."
They passed by a Triad clinic and then came near the local 24-hour grocery and Medarot store, Hop-Mart, as Naruto replied, "Aw, sit on it, Arika-chan! Sure, my mom told me to save up and buy them with my allowance by fixing and modifying Medaparts and other work, but I haven't determined which Medarot I should start first, y'know. What I need for that is something that makes offense a good defense."
He looked at the Male and Female Tinpets on display, along with the sealed boxes of Medaparts.
That's when the store clerk and former Medarot Champion, Hikaru Agata, came by and asked Naruto, "So, have you decided?"
Arika commented, "He remembers your face, Naruto-kun."
"Well, Arika-chan, Hikaru-san is a family friend and I often stop by this store where he works to pick up groceries, y'know," Naruto replied before talking to the day-shift clerk, "Have you got any Spice-a-Roni curry? Mom says that we're having it at our house for dinner tonight. You're welcome to come if you want, y'know."
Naruto brought out his grocery list as Hikaru (who was a bit disappointed) pointed to the aisle where the items are said to be. The clerk unfortunately declined the invitation because he has other things to do.
After the kids gathered the necessary groceries into the basket, plus some inexpensive sweets, Hikaru decided to go for a gamble and presented Naruto a dusty box: a spare, old-model KBT-type [Metal Beetle] parts box for a male Medarot.
"I could sell it to you for a fair price, but unfortunately, I'm currently fresh out of Tinpets and Medals and the ones on display don't actually work, but when the new orders come in, I'll be sure to let you know."
Naruto looked at the KBT-type and noticed that it's indeed an older model to the current [Bayonet] KBT models.
"Isn't it an antique?" Arika asked about the lifeless parts, "It better not be one of those leftover stocks."
Naruto gave it some thought and said, "Hikaru, I'll take it."
Arika and even Hikaru couldn't believe their eyes at Naruto's decision.
"If I recall, I just need a Horned Beetle Medal, which is best for shooting attacks and not a Stag Beetle Medal mainly for its close combat attribute, and a male Tinpet to go with these parts. I'll have to stop by at a later time to see if I can find them."
And Naruto paid the bill of sale for the parts and the groceries as he carried his trusty reusable sacks from his backpack to put the products away.
"Thank you for shopping at Hop-Mart," Hikaru said as the kids left the store.
Little do they know, Hikaru has plans of his own with the Tinpet and Watch in the case.
-Medarots-
[At the bridge]
Naruto feels like he's one step closer from having his first Medarot. Arika wondered why her friend is as giddy as a schoolgirl.
"Naruto, why do you have to buy such uncool Medaparts?" she complained, "They're practically old parts in today's terms."
"Well, it's better than no Medarot, y'know," Naruto replied, but then a synthesized voice called out, "Arika-chan!"
It was Arika's [Sailor-Multi], nicknamed "Brass", who ran across the street as she met her partner as she formally greeted him with a bow, "Oh, Naruto-san, thank you for taking care of Arika-chan."
"Domo, Brass," Naruto replied as he bowed.

"It's alright, Brass," Arika bragged as she waved off, "I'm the one who takes care of him anyway."
"Oh, really?" Naruto skeptically and jokingly said, "Brass is 100 times kinder and nicer than you are."
"What'd you just say‽" Arika exclaims as she tries to chase Naruto, but he keeps being elusive, thanks to his unusual agility, "You, of all people… Stand still!"
"Not a chance," Naruto countered as he avoided another wild swing, "You really need to lighten up, y'know."
Then Brass calmly reminded her owner, "Arika-chan, it's time for your piano lessons at home. If you don't hurry, you'll be late."
"Oh, that's right," Arika stopped and rejoined her Medarot, "Anyway, you need a Tinpet and Medal to complete your set. Me and Brass will show you a few pointers, Robattle style! See ya!"
Arika and Brass had left the scene, leaving Naruto by the bridge to have a moment of reflexion. He got himself some Medaparts that he can start with, but somehow, there are neither any Tinpets nor any Medals available for some strange reason. Without those sets, he has no way to robattle against anybody, but that doesn't mean that he can't handle a little self-defense.
But then suddenly, he sees a glimmer in the water under the bridge, near the riverside, as he jumps down. There's not much water, but there are a lot of loose stones. However, thanks to an unusual internal instinct, Naruto landed safely on the ground without injuring or slipping himself. When he looked closer, what he found was some trash to be put in a separate sack, and what appears to be a coin that looks nothing like a 500 Yen piece; it looks too valuable to be one. The coin appears to be perfectly hexagonal, golden, and has a green gem in the center, with an image of a larva bug and the letter B.
"I can't believe my luck! It's a Horned Beetle Medal!" he quips to himself, "Now if only I can get the right Tinpet…"
Naruto takes the Medal and the groceries and puts the burnable garbage where it was supposed to go.
-Medarots-
[Later that night, at the Tenryo Residence]
The Tenryo residence is a family of 3 - the father Jozō (who is often away in his business meetings), the mother Chidori (a housewife), and son Naruto, plus a dog named Salty (a Parson Russell Terrier) that the family got a few years ago.
Chidori was surprised that her son had bought not only the groceries, but also Medaparts from the same store (with his own allowance that he saved from his hobbies) and also a medal that he fished out as he held it in his fingers. As she was cooking curry, she asked Naruto about his day.
"It's practically the usual, Mom," he said, "We got a scoop about today's Robattle outside our school, Kiku-chan challenged the SC and won. But don't worry, she and her gang only wanted the unused room and not the SC's room, so they don't have to fuss so much."
Suddenly, the TV channel was showing the latest Breaking News, saying that there's been a rise in cases of "Medarot Hunts", where people steal Medaparts while not using the official Robattle system.
Jozō managed to come back home from his job and kissed his lovely wife and hugged his son while carrying a case in his fist.
"Son, I got a surprise for you," he said, "A friend of mine ordered a Tinpet for you after the current Tinpets were sold out."
He opened a box containing not only a Medawatch, showing the Medarots' Vital Stats, but also transporting Medaparts to whichever Medarot the User aims at, and they can also exchange Medaparts whenever the need is necessary. When Naruto looked further in the case, he saw what really surprised him: a Tinpet - the main body of the Medarot. But it looked much different than the regular tinpets; it's much thinner in appearance, but it looks like it can stand on its own and can be assembled with Medaparts.
"Thank you, Dad! You're the greatest," Naruto gladly says as he opens the KBT Medaparts box and assembles them to the Tinpet and screws them not too tightly. When he and his parents look at the nearly completed Medarot, the product looks just like the one Hikaru had years ago. All that's left is to give the medal a name before being put into the body, but Naruto decided to call it a night as he has homework to finish. He gave the Horned Beetle Medal a nickname, "Metabee", shortened for [Metal Beetle], as well as named after Hikaru's Metabee, and he put it into his Medawatch for safekeeping for the time being.
After dinner, before he went to his bedroom, however, Naruto's father reminded him that great power from the Medarots comes with great responsibility, so he has to be attentive not to get other people hurt from attacking them carelessly; that, and he must take care of Metabee and keep him clean and maintain so that in case of Robattles, he's gonna need it.
A little later, Jozō (who was finishing his dinner plate) remembered that Phantom Retort gave him the attaché case that his client sent to him to be given to Naruto for an experimental project for the newer Tinpet products, but said that he lost the medal after the Rubberrobo Gang attacked the previous "delivery man".
Could it be that Naruto or somebody else has already found the missing medal that was dropped into the river?
His thoughts leave him when Chidori tries to get his attention. He apologized for his inattentiveness when she asked him, "Do you think that it's okay for kids to have a Medarot that can be dangerous to other people like they could get shot at or do other hazardous things? I'm worried about my little boy, even after he has his Medarot Robattle License."
Jozō put his arm around his wife's shoulder and said, "You don't have to worry, Darling. Our Naruto is growing up. But you know, I've been thinking…"
They were busy holding onto one another as they watched their favorite Soap Opera show as they had a secret plan of their own.
*💕Smooch, smooch, kiss, kiss...💕*
(They're trying not to make too much noise as the TV drowns out their romancing as the appropriate music plays.)

[The Next Day]
Naruto had a strange dream. He was in a strange realm where he not only saw a civilization of Medarots in one dimension and flocks of ninjas in another dimension. But what he saw horrified him. Both sides were fighting each other to the death - blood and oil, flesh and metal, limbs and parts.
If that weren't enough, the band of 9 Ninjas in black cloaks with red clouds were attacking 9 special people to extract the magical beasts within, while a group of men and women in dark suits were unleashing their Medarots in another form of 10 Days of Darkness, if not the next World War!
What is this strange feeling that he has to put a stop to this madness of both dimensions that resulted from people losing someone dear?
And suddenly, he woke up out of bed with a cold sweat. It was about 06:00 hours on his Medawatch, but that dream has been bothering him for the last week as he looked at the device attached to his left wrist (that has a built-in pocket dimension for Medaparts), the Horned Beetle medal, and the lifeless Metabee ready for any situation - anytime, anywhere. So he goes to the bathroom to wash up and get dressed in clean clothes. Naruto also cleaned his room and sorted his homework (both paper and digital) before having breakfast, for nobody, however old the person is, cannot think properly on an empty stomach. He also brought his lunch card full of credits for his choice of food (sometimes with good and inexpensive ramen) and put it in his pocket.
-Medarots-
[Ginjō Elementary, hallway; after school]
Naruto was talking to Arika about what happened when they heard a familiar girl's voice shouting from the newly used room, "What‽ You were attacked by Medarot Hunters last night‽"
"It was terrible, Oyabi!" Iwanoi whined, "Even though it was a handicap match, those grown ups in strange costumes attacked me all at once, I tell you! Three against one in an unofficial match! They took my [Death Bomb] Medapart that I saved with my allowance and it was a sale price too!"
"Oh, dry up, Iwanoi!" Kikuhimé barked, "Me and Kagamiyama will avenge you, so don't worry!"
Arika overheard the conversation through the door as whispered to herself, "This is a scoop for sure."
"Hey, Arika-chan," Naruto asked in a whisper, "What'cha mean by that?"
"Gathering info. Like, the journalist blood in me is boiling you know?"
Naruto's instinct tells him to back off as he quickly dragged Arika across the corner of the hall just as the Screws gang left the room and shut the door.
"You don't have to do that, Naruto-kun!" Arika nearly yelled from almost (accidentally) being groped by her friend, "I could have done it myself. Now, come on, let's move! You're coming with me!"
"Whatever, Arika-chan," Naruto said as he unenthusiastically followed his friend, "I'm gonna regret being in your school club for this, y'know."
-Medarots-
[Empty lot, not far from the Dept. Store]
Naruto, Arika, and Brass (who waited outside the school) followed the Screws to the location where Iwanoi was attacked. They pass by a salesman in a straw hat who was selling newly hatched chicks along the way as they find a good spot to watch and see what happens as they come to a park outside of the lot. Brass was carrying a large microphone while Naruto and Arika had their cameras on standby. They know that they are bound to get themselves into a peck of trouble if the other people think that they are stalking.
"Because being on the lookout is the basics of investigation!" Arika proudly explained.
But then, more memories started to mess with Naruto's head like it was a headache, like things about people using stealth and other hiding places before making their moves.
Brass asked, "Naruto-san, are you feeling alright?"
"I'm okay, Brass," Naruto answered as he shrugged off the unusual pain.
"Naruto-kun, l know that you're my incumbent assistant," Arika concerningly said, "But those kinds of headaches could be a hindrance to our investigation. I should've just sent you back home."
"And leave you and Brass alone against those crazy punks? I don't think so," he refused, "I've been promised by our parents that I shouldn't leave you behind like this. It's a bigger responsibility that I have to keep, y'know."
Brass blushes at Naruto's integrity while Arika is a bit clueless about her friend's bravado but there's a nagging feeling that is bothering her. Something about l… However, the thought was interrupted, as the Screws made their move to find those said "Hunters" and Naruto's party followed them inconspicuously.
-Medarots-
By the time the groups made it to the main section of the park, Naruto's party hid near the bushes while the Screws came across 3 men who looked nothing like the people that attacked Iwanoi nor would the kind that would wear garish fashion statements.
"Well, lookie here, boys," the first man said to his partners, "If it ain't the wimpy kid and his mutt for a Medarot from last night."
The other men laughed along with him.
"You sure that it was them that roughed you?" Kikuhimé asked Iwanoi who braggingly replied, "Who are you taking me for, Oyabi? I'm a member of the Screws too! These guys look nothing like those heavy metal rockers - -"
"You wanna bet?" the second man dared, "You know that it was us that kicked you and your sorry ass. Allow us to demonstrate."
And they opened their portable makeup kit and cases, pulling out a can of hairspray, a battery-powered hair dryer, a collection of stage makeup, their costumes underneath their current attire, and finally, their instruments - two of them were sporting their own electric guitars, while the other one uses a metal triangle for percussion.
"SORRY FOR THE WAIT, BABYYYYY!" the first man shouted as he and his partners played their loud instruments.
Their appearances made Iwanoi freak out and scream like a sissy, "AHHH! It's them, Oyabi! It's really them! They're the ones who took away the Medapart I bought for my Cyandog last night!"
"So you're the ones!" Kikuhimé declared to the Rockers, "You got a lot of nerve having fun with my henchman like that!"
"Shut up, yeah!" Rocker #2 replied.
"So what if we did, huh?" Rocker #3 rudely queried.
Meanwhile, Naruto, Arika, and Brass were witnessing from behind the bush, with Laserbeak flying to take an aerial view.
{"Even against grown-ups, Kiku-chan won't back down so easily,"} Naruto thought, {"I just hope that she wouldn't bite off more than she can chew…"}
{"Ugh, those guys are so trashy!"} Arika is disgusted while keeping her thoughts to herself, {"They got things and makeup their only mothers would wear!"}
Then what happened next utterly threw everyone for a loop. She took out her spare purple shirt and a white opaque marker from her pack and asked, "Can I get an autograph?"
*Facefault!*
Iwanoi, who was recovering from the reaction, asked, "Oyabi! I thought that you were going to ditch us and join with anybody stronger than us? Isn't the head Bancho going to cream us for that?"
"Idiot!" Kikuhimé yelled at Iwanoi, with some unintentional saliva spraying at his face, "The only guy that I can be loyal to is Naruto-kun! Am I right?"
"Guess you caught us, Kiku-chan," Naruto replied from the bushes as he, Arika, and Brass came out of hiding, "I guess fixing your wavering loyalty pays off."
"And who are you?" Rocker #1 queried.
"Oh, just your everyday 5th Grade student who happens to be here to make sure my friends don't start something stupid," Naruto answered with his arms crossed, meaning that he is serious.
However, when Rocker #3 started to take Arika's digital camera away from her hands, he arrogantly says, "Bringing cameras and audio recorders is forbidden, yeah!"
Brass comes out of hiding, trying to help her partner, only to get blocked by the Rockers' Medarots - 2 DVL-Type [Blackmails]⁶ and a PNX-type [Hellphoenix]⁶.
One of the Blackmails has the [Death Bomb] Medapart attached to its right arm instead of its usual arm part.

The Rockers surround Naruto and Arika as they annoy them with their loud instruments, while the Screws are surprisingly ignored.
"Say, little girl, you sure have a great Medarot!" Rocker #1 said to Arika while making irritating licking noises, making her very unnerved.
"Why don't you have a Robattle with us, yeah?" Rocker #2 added.
"You'll make a nice groupie with those boobs of yours!" Rocker #3 said while holding the camera as he and his partners were planning to rip off Arika's clothes with their Medarots.
{"Curse you Arika!"} Kikuhimé inwardly feels jealous while she still has ways to go, {"It's always the [boobs] that get some man's attention!"}
"Hey, lay off Arika-chan, you bullies!" Naruto yelled, but was interfered by the Rockers and their loud instruments.
(Rocker #2, playing loud strums of his bass guitar») "What did ya say, yeah‽"
(Rocker #3, clanging his loud triangle») "You want a piece of us‽"
Naruto wasn't fazed much as he daringly replied, "You heard me, you knuckleheads! Now get your slimy hands off of her and give her back that camera!"
"But how are you going to take them on?" Kikuhimé questioned, "You don't have a Medarot on you."
"That's where you're wrong on that one, Kiku-chan," Naruto said as he pressed the front of the Medawatch and said, "Transport Metabee!"
The device energizes and transfers the inactive Medarot to the field.

The Rockers and the Screws paused for a moment and then they guffawed at the sight of the old KBT model, thinking that this relic could win the battle.
Little did they know, Naruto was actually smiling as he confidently replied, "A Medarot battle is not the side only by its power or model. It's the courage and spirit of one guiding the Medarot with the Medafighter that really matters!" He opened the Medawatch to remove Metabee's medal to be placed in its body, "And besides that, the parts are from the local Hop-Mart, y'know. You should stop by there sometime."
"Is that a challenge?" Rocker #1 declared.
Then suddenly, from above the railway overhead, Mr. Uruchi (the referee) appears and declares, "Then it's official! At this moment, this battle has been recognized as a sanctioned submission Robattle! That's why I, Mr. Uruchi, shall act as referee!" He climbed down the overhead (with a few slip-ups) and made it to the ringside,
"Have the Rockers decided which Medarot will act as leader?"
Rocker #1 with his Blackmail (with the Death Bomb) takes the role.
Mr. Uruchi declared, "Robattle, FIGHT!
(ding!)
Naruto removed the safety lock⁷ on Medarot's weapons via Medawatch and said, "Metabee, standby to attack." But Metabee is still inactive for some reason.
The Rockers' Medarots beat, battered, and burned Metabee without even giving him a chance to get up. Naruto is in a fix; either something's wrong with his Medarot or that something is not with the medal as the Rockers prepare to finish Metabee off. So out of frustration, he yelled through the Medawatch, "HEY! STANDBY TO ATTACK OR ELSE YOU'LL BE A PONKOTSU (PIECE OF SCRAP) MEDAROT FOR REAL!"
Metabee is finally activated with a loud grunt and he uses his Horn Missile and fires at the first Blackmail in the sweet spot with a blast, destroying the head part.
(Blackmail #2 has ceased function.)
This event surprised everyone, including Naruto. The Screws stopped laughing as they noticed that their friend is really serious and isn't really fooling around. Even Arika and Brass were impressed by Naruto's inspiration.
Then Blackmail #1 and Hellphoenix prepared to counterattack with their ranged attacks, but Metabee went under the attacks with his agility. What happened next surprised everyone as they witnessed Metabee unleash a powerful Medaforce ability.
Rocker #1 asked his fellowmen to cover him, because of incoming attack, but the response came too little too late as Metabee fired his [Ultra Shot] Medaforce attack and the devastating move connects, sending Hellphoenix and Blackmail #1 flying towards the Rockers in an explosive heap. Their Medarots cease function and the KO'd and clothes-ripped Rockers waved a white flag.
"We… we declared defeat, yeah…," Rocker #1 groaned from his predicament and he and his partners fainted.
(ding-ding-ding)
"Function ceased!" Mr. Uruchi declared the victor, "The winner is Naruto and his Metabee!" He turned to Naruto and explained, "Since it was a Submission Robattle, you are also officially registered to the upcoming World Robattle Tournament ranks. Congratulations, miboy, and remember: "More Medarots, More Power." Good day."
And the referee left to officially put the results in paperwork with the other referees.
Naruto walks to the defeated Rockers and confiscates the still-intact camera and returns it to Arika.
"Hmph! You can forget the autograph!" Kikuhimé changed her mind after the result, "I knew that Naruto-kun could win against the odds."
"That's our oyabi," Iwanoi remarked, "She's so quick to change her mind…"
"And Tenryo sure knows how to put those bozos to the cleaners," Kagamiyama agreed, "I think it's time that we should brush up our Medarots ourselves, Kikuhimé."
The Screws Leader agreed as they left the scene, with Iwanoi whining about losing his Death Bomb Medapart to Naruto. ("Ah, shaddap!" Kikuhimé slapped him silly.)
-Medarots-
Elsewhere, Hikaru secretly witnessed the battle as he quipped to himself, "That power! Could it be…? The Rare Medal?"
-Medarots-
"Well, how do you like that, Doubting Tanbō-san (journalist)?" Naruto questioned as he put away Laserbeak in its dormant state in his pocket, "Got you a good scoop for tomorrow's first page…? Hey, are you feeling alright?"
A blushing Arika with rosy cheeks tries to keep a poker face, but it is still showing, as she nearly drops her camera. She coyly starts to show her affection to her hero of the day as she replies, "What… what are you saying? You're just showing off!"
"Aw, come on, Arika! Nobody would like to see you get kidnapped and get used by those lame-o's. It's just like being in a Scout Camp with the famous rule: "Be prepared for anything." And besides, I'm proud to have Metabee as my first official Metarot partner, y'know."
"Hey, you… You called me a "Ponkotsu Medarot" before, didn't you?"
It was Metabee who angrily spoke out and had a bead on Naruto with his Revolver, "Who's a Ponkotsu now, mister?"
"Now, Metabee," Naruto tries to keep his Medarot from driving angry, "You know it's dangerous to point it at people like that! And don't look at me that way!💧"
"I don't take any orders from nobody!" Metabee yelled as he fired his weapons at Naruto.
"You were almost remodeled by the Rockers, y'know!" Naruto yelled back as he kept dodging the bullets, "Of course, you almost became a scrap heap if it weren't for me!"
"Like I can give a ‹*bleep*›!" (Mechanically censored.)
Both the young student and Medarot keep exchanging trash talk and chasing while Brass is asking Arika who is lost in her own thoughts as she murmurs to herself that Naruto is just impossibly reckless, but is quite a courageous boy nevertheless.
-Medarots-
After about 15 minutes of arguments and shooting mouths, Naruto is catching his breath from all the excitement while Metabee's weapons are finally locked up as they're cooling off. They decided that they've had enough and called a truce before taking Arika and Brass back to their house. Naruto also transferred the extra Medaparts back to his home for maintenance.
Along the way, Naruto, Arika, and the Medarots came across the same particular man with a straw hat, selling hatched chicks, who gained the former's attention, saying, "You didn't run away from grown-ups, didn't you?"
"Arika-chan was in danger," Naruto explained, "What else could I do to just leave her behind like that?"
"Your friend would've fought them alone and lost considerably had you run away from your troubles. There are many ways to fight battles, y'see. What decides the end to a battle is a burning spirit. Remember it, you two."
"We'll keep that in mind, oji-san," Naruto said as he and his friends left.
-Medarots-
Meanwhile, Hikaru lamented that maybe sending Metabee to Naruto by his client for an experiment wasn't such a hot idea after all with the medal's abrasive and trigger-happy personality, but he's happy that the kid has his first complete Medarot. However...

This story is a remixed version of the discontinued story by NeoNazo356. The names and locations are closer to their place of origin in Japan. So I'll have to rely on mainly the subbed version and the dubbed notes as the appendix to the story, but other than that, I have to use the correct order of episodes that made much more sense than the dubbed arrangement, of which I didn't particularly like it that way. Btw, Ginjō (吟醸) means a type of saké which this, other locations, and certain people have alcoholic-based names.
Also you did notice a Transformers character cameo? Laserbeak was given by Naruto's dad for his New Year's present so that he can help with a lot of things, especially when Arika "shanghai'd" him to help with her extracurricular activities.
As for Naruto, his "girlfriends" are not so easy to get along with as he grew up. Arika is much of a tomboy, is very bossy, and jumps in for a scoop at first sight. Kikuhimé is bossy in a different league, has secrets of her own, and easily joins with any team who is stronger than her gang, much to her friends and Naruto's disgust. The third girl (which we'll reveal later) is a very kind soul, but can be a bit of an airhead or rather naïve at times.
As for Metabee, he has the same voice as Naruto (played by the VA, Junko Takeuchi), but with some twists.
Kikuhimé is based on the animé version, but with some slight changes. If you watched or played Medarot R (PS1), she wears dark clothing (not entirely black) and has violet hair instead of brunette.
Arika's version is much like the animé series, except that she hit puberty for her age already (based on Medarot R); in this case, she started to become a little "busty", it shows her chest under the attire. Of course, that happened to plenty of girls in the story; some happened sooner or a little later.
And the heat of the moment will be on!
