Chapter 7 - Queen of the rabbids
Ruby groaned as she held her head, a lump was forming from when she hit her head as she was carried away. At least she was no longer bound.
Carried away?
Her eyes opened wide as ruby looked around frantically. The last hints of sleep vanishing as memories of the rabbids kidnapping her returned. Why would they do something like that? They were supposed to be friends!
Looking down ruby noticed she was sitting on a chair. No. It was a throne made from several houseware appliances sitting right in the middle of some kind of metal canopy with wires sticking out of it.
Statues of what appeared to ruby are dotted randomly across the room, each clearly made of her sleeping indicating they were very recent. The only item in the room that wasn't was a few smaller older statues of people that all appeared to have painted silver eyes. While interesting ruby quickly forgot them as loud noises could be heard outside.
Training as a huntress takes over and ruby quietly makes her way out of the empty room, planning on escaping and returning to her team. At the very least she can gather information on the rabbids if they've taken her to one of their bases. What could they be up to?
Peaking outside ruby goes completely pale. The site before her making her almost vomit in horror and stress.
Filling her entire vision was the world of remnant, a great blue and green sphere that hung in the air before her. The ground beneath her was a mixture of grey and silver. Large broken pieces of rock could be seen in the corner of her eye floating due to the lack of gravity. Surrounding the throne room appeared a large misshapen city, rabbids ran around in a rush. Yelling loudly as they worked, pointing at large maps of remnants with blinking lights.
Ok ok ok ok! She was on remnants moon. It was fine! Nothing bad here... OMG how was she breathing?! How was she getting back to yang?! Aaaaaaah! And were they building another statue of her? That's it! She was teaching these things a lesson!
Jumping out of the doorway fists raised ruby moved towards the busiest area she could see. A large machine that was sparking and shooting electricity before stopping with a horrendous whirl.
Rabbids went towards her happily, which she kicked out the way, sending them flying "bwwwweeeeehh!". Rabbids quickly cowered in fear. One rabbid raised a sign declaring the end of the world was near in response.
Ruby slammed her hands down on the main table of what looked like a laboratory next to the machine. "well! Why am I here? You better take me home or... or... ill take away all the plungers" Rabbids screamed in horror at this threat and began grabbing as many as they could to hide as they left the room.
Pulling himself upright from behind a large book stood a rabbid with crazy white hair and a lab coat. The rabbids that were left rolled their eyes at him, already tired of his constant whining. He took a quick bow before pointing at a number of designs with a stick.
Rubys eyes narrowed. Having built many weapons herself, could just about understand what it was he was showing her. Looking at the machine behind him she took the time to figure out what was going on.
This machine brought her here? Some kind of portal device but naturally it had broken down. Ruby signed exhausted "you need to stop making these things from junk". The Einstein rabbid just shrugged and took a sip of coffee.
Looking at some of the lights on a large map ruby realised these were portal locations. This was why rabbids were appearing everywhere. The portal was so unreliable though. How were they even meant to get back to the moon like this? "so, if I fix this I can go home?"
The Einstein rabbid nodded in response "bweh bweh", before arrogantly pushing an overflowing toolbox towards he, looking ready to dish out a number of orders. His first to push her out towards the machine.
Rabbids covered in black soot cheered as they saw ruby and started to throw ruby up and down. "hey! Stop that! I haven't forgiven you for kidnapping... weeeee!" ruby giggled as she was thrown again.
Not long now ruby thought. Once the portal was fixed, she could get Ozpin and her team, even Uncle Crow. She was sure they could take care of them once transportation was reliable.
A blackboard flips around unnoticed containing a large poster of a machine. One that Weiss was speaking of only a few days ago. In big letters, it proclaimed how it can move rocks around and manipulate them into new forms. Drawing in chalk are drawn over it showing pieces of the broken remnant moon being smashed together into a new perfectly round moon.
At that moment Torchwicks new rabbid crew guarded the large machine at their base. Cinder and Roman was simply glad that the little creatures were leaving them all alone, while Neo laughed at how serious they were in the antics. It was almost like they actually thought the machine they had stolen from those scientists was important in some way.
END
A little shorter chapter but this one was to try and tie things in previous chapter together. It is also it set up the next few chapters when the rabbids plans take a horrible turn for the worse.
