Bruce's Fantasy Word
Nobody is real in this fantasy world. Bruce has comprehended it. The dreams about Batman, aren't really dreams. Bruce is really the Dark Knight. The question he now asks is how can he free himself. Every dream has a path back to the real world.
Bruce hears thuds approaching from the other room. He promptly spins around. Might be the boys. But they are never up this late. As the case may be, one of them is perhaps sleepwalking.
In the end, Bruce became wrong when a lady can be seen, identified by Bruce as his wife. Except her physical appearance has considerably changed. "Claire?", Bruce exclaimed in surprise. "You're...". He fails to utter; gazing the pink-colored skin, the pinkish-red hair, and her dress with bluish tight skin turtleneck dress covered with robes.
"Different", Claire added for Bruce. She lightly chuckles.
"No...", Bruce said. "You're... like how I once saw you as... love at first sight...". He slowly spins around, getting a glimpse of pain coursing inside his head like he's undergoing migraines grown intensely inside his head. "Your other name is Chronoa when you take that form... Chronoa is an Anodite name".
Chronoa, known to Bruce as Claire Redfield-Wayne, slowly approaches Bruce, displaying a worried look. "Bruce?", Chronoa said mildly.
Setting his hands all over his head, Bruce shakily teeters here and there within the room. He's agonised by this extreme feeling of pain. Scorches of flaring images are sequencing painfully; a body carried by a person who sobs; a laughing clown laughing like a maniac as though he completed what he so long waited to do; a tombstone inscribed with a name, and a person stood before it as though his life sunk along the death of this individual.
The headaches are later fading, Bruce slowly returns to his normal composure. He feels a hand placed on his shoulder. Twisting his head to his right, Bruce perceives Chronoa with a perceived look.
"Bruce?", Chronoa said.
"Visions", Bruce proclaimed. He felt Claire's hand pull away by her. "Mana visions".
"What did they show you?", Claire asked.
Bruce steadily moves away from Chronoa. He looks down the floor, sighing. "Death... howling joys... and mourning", Bruce said, speaking like in monotone. He turns around, staring at Claire.
"Who was in your vision?", Chronoa asked.
Bruce shook his head. "It's not real, Claire. Ten to one, it's just a bad dream", he said.
"Bruce", Claire said in a serious manner. "Visions' insight on bad things are not hallucinations or bad dreams. Anodites do not get bad dreams unless they happened in real-life or will happen in a potential future. Your Mana Visions might have something to with breaking free of this fantasy world".
Bruce heard what Chronoa said. He's having a hard time believing these visions are real.
"Tell me what you saw?", Chronoa asked.
Iced in response to her question, Bruce struggles. He stutters, denying himself from talking about it.
In the real world...
Chris Redfield and Obi-Wan Kenobi had finally discovered the secret facility built by Bruce Wayne. They teleported there. They thought it would be a safe a path to go over. They are wronged by the sudden appearances of inmates springing everywhere, surrounding them. This meeting is a bit surprising. A little stealth into here, and searching Bruce wasn't supposed to be hard.
Inmates tittered.
The laughing causes Chris to reminiscence about Joker's laughs.
While he didn't come to perceive inmates crossing with their road, Obi-Wan wouldn't allow himself to be beaten by the same people being kept in this facility.
One of the inmates went straight toward Chris.
Throwing a fist in response, Chris fisted that jokerised inmate away.
Shortly, the inmates charged at Obi-Wan and Chris.
Both Chris and Obi-Wan held their own against these inmates. Punching and kicking was most of their counterattacks, flinging each inmate away. Sizes make them unfazed. They've fought monsters worse than this.
Chris saw one inmate bigger than. Not a human. In fact, neither of the inmates are humans or even Earthling. He immediately kicks this inmate's leg, making the thing collapse on one knee. Enhanced with energy flowing through his body, Chris strikes that inmate's face with his elbow, causing a blow that would him down.
Obi-Wan evades on inmate before swiftly guarding himself with a force field from an inmate that attempted to scorch him with fire breaths. Using Mana, Obi-Wan elevates the flow of water beneath him, throwing it toward the fire-breather's mouth, causing him to fall backwards.
Jokerised monkey-lizards begin flooding the area as they surround Chris and Obi-Wan in the period of them taking down majority of the inmate attackers.
Once Obi-Wan and Chris finished off the rest, they come to sight swarming monkey-lizards readily attacking them.
Chris envelops his hand into a ball of bluish energy. He threw his fist down, striking the ground as the area around them begins to have tremors. These tremors shoving all monkey-lizards aside.
Comprehending all inmates this area are floored, Obi-Wan and Chris settle down peacefully at the moment.
"Let's go", Chris said before starting to move forward.
Obi-Wan glanced Chris walking before shortly catching up to him.
All seemed normal until a tremor caused Joker to raise an eyebrow. "What was that?", Joker exclaimed. He was then stung because of sensing two strong presences. "No!". He growls with his clenched teeth tightly fixed. He is familiarised with those two presences. "Redfield and Kenobi are here".
Towa also sensed it. She displays a strained look, reacting to appearances of these two enemies of her. "They will disturb the process", Towa addressed. "The inmates will slow them down". Towa knows facing them with instantly disrupt their plan. "We must act quickly if we are to create our ultimate weapon".
Bruce's Fantasy World
Fantasies have many good things. Things a person could never get or return to themselves in the real world. Everything was supposed to be great. One's well of imaginations arising out of the head. Confronted with reflecting a certain dark past isn't one of them.
"Bruce, you have to tell me", Chronoa said gently.
Shaking his head, Bruce turns away, squeezing his eyes tightly closed. He places both hands on his face, shrouding his vision pitch-black. "It's not real. These visions never happened", he murmured. "If I did, I would've remembered them. But I have no memory of ever losing someone important in my life".
"Bruce you're babbling", Chronoa said, walking toward Bruce's side. "I could help you-".
"No!", Bruce shouted, slapping Claire's hand that was about to touch him. "I will find out... eventually!".
"Son?"
Bruce hears the man's voice. Thomas Wayne's voice laying the background noise extended throughout the walls of this room. He looks over Claire's shoulder, seeing mom and dad standing beside the door.
"What's wrong?", Thomas asked.
"No! NOTHING IS WRONG YOU PHONEYS!", Bruce lashed out at this own father.
"Bruce", Martha Wayne exclaimed.
"SHUT IT! ALL OF YOU!", Bruce shouted angrily. He then threw himself out of a nearby window.
"BRUCE!", Thomas and Martha cried.
It was unexpected for Chronoa, Martha and Thomas; Bruce jumped out the window. They later get relieved when Bruce was highlighted in blue all around him, and took course out of Wayne Manor, which gets them all worried.
Gotham City
Visions of death, laughter and mourn are giving Bruce an anxious feeling as he wandered the abandoned garage. He ignores the sight of cobwebs. The decayed place has long been left out. Crime rate in Gotham is very low. What Bruce ponders is narrowly the visions. How are visions going to pave a way out of fantasy world? The vision shows three people: one will die, one will mourn and will slowly lose control, and one will laugh seeing that in the end he won. "They're not my visions", Bruce said.
Sighing in stress, Bruce facepalms while actively drifting the area. Of course he believes what Claire said about visions, but the vision Bruce had, Bruce denied that belief. Provided that he believes in this vision, would this mean the real world Bruce has went through torturous months suffering?
When he finally ceases to stroll, Bruce sat near a wall. He slowly looks outside. With Mana, he senses the joy unfurled by billions. The mass of them contemplate Bruce was the reason. He knows this is fantasy but is this what Bruce really wants; to accept he doesn't have to be Batman, to find an alternative way to resolve all of the world's problems, heck even the Universe. His parents are alive even though he recently lashed out at them. He didn't intend to. He's holding a tug of war; two sides of reality: fantasy world and real world.
Red light emanates the darkness in the empty garage. A figure is levitating, carrying the illumination of redness.
Bruce perceives red light. He looks up on where red lights emanate. A lady floating, and gazing Bruce. Bruce himself shouldn't forget who she is. An light-brown haired female with a red chestplate with angular faulds extending into an ankle-length skirt, elbow-length red fingerless gloves, black trousers and thigh-high boots, and a red tiara. "Wanda?", Bruce exclaimed with a low volume voice.
In the real world...
Tunnelling into a narrowed path in front of them, Chris and Obi-Wan stumbled upon creatures above them. Most likely the Joker's close personal friends. Seems every inmate infected by that clown is a personal friend. All creatures sniggering at them. For now.
"Let me tell you something you humongous manlike dinosaur, ave a piece for us!", a joker inmate said.
A humongous humanoid dinosaur-like creature makes a jump on them, crashing down.
Obi-Wan and Chris flew away, evading from getting crushed by that monster.
How many inmates are in this facility?, Chris wondered.
Obi-Wan slams with the power of Mana at that manlike dinosaur. That creature hits the interior side of this portion of the passage. He subsequently experienced a short tremor; Obi-Wan remained unfazed.
Chris and Obi-Wan get back together while they keep their focus at two inmates steadily looking at them.
"A Vaxasaurian, and two Appoplexians?", Obi-Wan exclaimed.
"Let me tell you something, Anodite, joker is going to knit your intestines into sweat!", a jokerised Appoplexian said.
"Let me tell you something, big man with a grizzly bear-look worse than my feet, I'm gonna put my claws into your face!", another jokerised Appoplexian said.
Soon, the battle ensues; a jokerised Vaxasaurian faces Obi-Wan; Chris fights two Appoplexians.
The number of smashes is causing tremors. This entire passage will be unstable. "Does your kind have decency to not pull punches that could cause tremors?", Obi-Wan said.
"Watch your mouth, little man", the jokerised, hulking giant said, subsequent to attempting to smash Obi-Wan. He then walks toward Obi-Wan as the latter moves away step by step. "I'm gonna enjoy poundin' you to jelly!".
Obi-Wan leapt backward, avoiding another get-smash experience. "You say that in a sort of determination. But is this really how you pound me into a so-called 'jelly' with these shots", he taunted at the creature.
An Appoplexian wraps his arms around Chris tightly. "Why not I tear that grim-look and place it on a pike?", he said grimly.
Chris elbows the Appoplexian, making it stumble away. He swiftly focuses on the front, seeing an Appoplexian about to fly toward him. Chris lowers his upper-half body.
Two Appoplexians collide as a result of one of them missing Chris and instead hitting one of their own kind.
"How about 'shut up'?", Chris suggested grimly.
The Appoplexians instantly stand up prior to assailing Redfield.
Redfield anticipated their attack. He has a counterattack. Once they're close enough, Chris instantly drew a blueish sizzling blade.
As the Appoplexians reached Chris, they somehow the part in which they'd intentionally scratch his eyes, and perhaps take those precious eyeballs off. Pain wasn't inflicted to Chris. Pain was actually served out to them. They are then pushed backward by Chris who was using the power of Mana.
Chris sent those two Appoplexians with their heads in a very hard way slammed on an interior side, causing them lose conscious. When Chris notes the Appoplexians are brought to an end, he aditionally notes Obi-Wan and the Vaxasaurian still fighting. Doesn't appear Obi-Wan would require his help.
"You're big", Obi-Wan said. He slides away from getting punched. "You're slow". Obi-Wan avoids a tail-attack from that Vaxasaurian. "You're stupid".
The Vaxasaurian growls over hearing this little man's mocks. With two arms, he tries to hammer down Obi-Wan, only to miss.
Back away, Obi-Wan scoffed at this alien's efforts. "Molded from your planet where big humanoid dinosaurs are all about destruction, you are perhaps the weakest Vaxasaurian I've ever met", he said teasingly.
Comments brought about fury on Vaxasaurian. "That's it! Now, I'm really mad!", the jokerised brawn said. He throws his most heaviest punch at Obi-Wan, carrying his anger and his hate soon to strike at the Anodite.
Obi-Wan ducks, making the Vaxasaurian's fist rather land on something else, which is where Obi-Wan wanted the Vaxasaurian to hit.
The clown sees cables popping out. Some had plummeted to waters below him.
Reaching Chris, Obi-Wan quickly uses Mana to swirl the wind around Redfield, pushing Chris out of the passage. He too jumped out of there.
As soon as both allies jumped out was also when the cables hit the waters. The whole waters are spread with flows of electricity sizzling across the small river.
The Vaxasaurian experiences a throbbing sensation of electricity flowing inside him. He intensely vibrates. No way to move out, as if he is clung on this well of electric water. He would by the end collapse, lying on the water.
Bruce's Fantasy World
This meeting has become noticeably more personal for Bruce. His own daughter in the air. "Wanda", Bruce breathlessly said as though his lungs are dry. Wanda Wayne, named to many being Scarlet Witch.
Wanda alights the ground, whilst staring at her father. Using her powers, she quickly changes her present outfit into civilian attire. She notices Bruce backing away. She doesn't blame him.
"You're not from my fantasy world", Bruce said confidently. He senses his own daughter down to her blood.
"You're right", Wanda said. She sighs. "Not materialised in fleshy form as a fanatic. Even now, I'm not at the peak of my essence in here".
"Why are you here, Wanda?", Bruce asked.
Sighing, Wanda subsequently bites her lips. "In spite of whatever happened in the past, I'm not losing the only person I have left", Wanda said with an expressionless face.
Bruce scoffs. He turns away from Wanda. "You say that as if something happened between us that I can't remember", Bruce said.
"Something did happen, and you can never remember", Wanda said. She subsequently turned the opposite way. "because somebody made sure those memories would never come again".
"I'm not following", Bruce said.
Wanda spins around slowly, looking at Bruce. "When you're ready to admit your dark past is real, make sure to meet your friend Clark Kent for the second time", Wanda said.
"He's like the Clark I know", said Bruce.
"He does. He just needs a spark to trigger his senses back together", Wanda said.
"What does this have anything to do with Clark?", Bruce asked eagerly.
"Because he knows mom died before your eyes", Wanda revealed.
Bruce is extremely shocked to hear this. He senses honesty from his daughter. She speaks no lies. They are truth; every word is not a slight hint of lie.
In the real world...
They returned to the passage where literally many inmates that were here received the same shock Vaxasaurian received. Chris and Obi-Wan perceived many of the inmates a little submerged in this river-pathway. Doesn't appear they'd have to worry about inmates creeping out from holes, vents and unknown passages.
"Seems our troubles are resolved by a flow of electricity", Obi-Wan said, walking along the passage, seeing unconscious inmates.
"With a myriad of aliens in this world, what was Bruce thinking locking them up in a facility?", Chris said.
"To be honest, Chris, I always asked myself why Bruce would need Clone Troopers to guard the facility? Earthling agencies or the Justice League", Obi-Wan said.
They made it way past a couple of inmates, making it midway in the passage. It's not that far them. Step by step, they tread the pathway. There appears to be faint light shafting from that end of the passage.
"Not really that far, I suppose", Obi-Wan said.
As they went further along the passage, pressing each foot forward, walking further, many inmates to cross over, the closer it is to the end of the passage, a sudden drop from the top surprised them. Though it hadn't caused them to fall down, instead, they kept their balance.
A figure has landed, slowly standing up. It smiled with its bleeding red lips scowling at Obi-Wan and Chris.
This appearance deduces adequate he is infected by the Joker.
"A Splixson?", Obi-Wan exclaimed. Perceptive eyes sharply caught this specie the size of a child with white skin, a black and white head and face, black shoulders, large hands, and also has three fin-like growths on his head, and gem-like extended sensory nodes on his arms and waist.
The Splixson cackled. It then spreads an entire world of perplexation on Obi-Wan and Chris as he materialises into numerous duplicates of himself, subsequently surrounding them.
Chris attempts to punch a Splixson.
That Splixson noticed before dividing itself into two copies.
"Surprised?", one of the newly-formed copies said.
"Confused?", the other one of the newly-formed copies said.
Obi-Wan attempted to strike a Splixson only to miss by that thing dividing into duplicates of itself.
"Pixelated?", a duplicate said with a smeared look like his duplicates does the same.
Not surprise. Obi-Wan has encountered Splixsons before. They are capable of creating freaky duplicates.
Chris and Obi-Wan tried to get a landing blow on all Splixsons.
"Catch", a duplicate said before dividing again.
"Me", another duplicate said before following the process of duplication.
"If", a Splixson copy said, evading a hit from Redfield.
"You", a copy said.
"Can", another Splixson said after jumping over Obi-Wan.
Hearing those taunts, Obi-Wan had a cheeky response of his own. "Okay", Obi-Wan said calmly. He lifts his foot, straight away stomping on one of the Splixson's feet.
Suddenly, a sparkling agony spreads on all Splixsons as they lurch away, crying in pain.
Chris realised Obi-Wan was the cause of rolling out their agony. He couldn't have punched every Splixson. He's not a speedster.
"A link", Obi-Wan proclaimed. "Once you at least harm one of the Splixson duplicates, the rest will feel same pain".
Chris saw a Splixson racing toward him. Instead of punching him, he used his sizzling blade to brutally cut off that Splixson's hand.
That Splixson clone tripped down due to the severe pain applied to him, which applies to all his lookalikes.
Every Splixson pressingly gripped around their right wrist since that is where Chris sliced a right-hand off of one of them.
They can clone an army, but they certainly cannot escape pain, even if it's not physically done to them.
Joker felt Chris and Obi-Wan's presences growing nearer. "They're coming", Joker said. His hand is laid around Batman and Superman, streaming a wave of crimson energy covering the two greatest superheroes.
"They will never make it in time. Our goals will soon reach", Towa addressed while carrying on with the same thing Joker is doing: sending a wave of energy over the World's Finest.
Bruce's Fantasy World
Isolated, and silent, Clark stares blindly at a photo of his family. Since meeting Bruce, he's been experiencing bizarre things left undescribed. It's as if his mind was briefly transferred to another world where it wasn't the same-looking paradise as it was here. In that other world, he saw Lois Lane, beautiful, just like what he views on the photo. These visions are getting Clark convinced he should meet Mr. Wayne even though they're not friends, at least, not in here.
Clark suddenly sensed via hearing a thump. He turns on his focus. Someone is in this apartment. He x-rays the whole apartment. Couldn't glimpse a person looking like they're ready to attack this room. Though he can't see, Clark knows someone's here. Why is he here?, Clark is bound to find out. Perhaps it's sooner than he'd expect, and he doesn't realise it it. His surprise came to front-sight; Bruce Wayne standing before.
"Where is it, Clark?", Bruce demanded in an anger manner.
"Where is what?", Clark asked. He was firstly guessing it might be Bruce dropped something, and assumed he turned to Clark to know if he has it. That doesn't appear to be the case. "I don't know what you're talking about".
Bruce clenches his fist. Mana's blue energy furls his fist as he charges it quickly. He straight away pounds Clark away, causing the latter's glasses to shatter.
Fell on floor, Clark looked up, thinking what planted up a full capacity of full-heat on him.
"Needless to say, you don't remember. Trapped in my fantasy world has stripped away your original memories", Bruce said. His hands press on each side of Clark's head. "This might refresh your memories". As soon as he said, Bruce sends blue energy flowing over Clark's head.
When the energy contacted Clark's head, the Kryptonian felt a jarring sensation; starting to get glimpses of visions. His brain cells are burning each time he acquires a glimpse; his early life, how he discovered his powers and learnt to use them, his early years as Superman, and the various the adventures. Where are they coming from?, Clark was thinking. Why is Clark not able to remember some things that he doesn't call weathering.
The contact eventually caused Bruce and Clark to separate from a burst.
After receiving this experience, only then did Clark suddenly become different, carrying memories of his real-self. He realised the memories he was living up to was false memories as seeds sprouted since the fantasy creation. One great thing is the real-world Clark Kent's life doesn't have a Lois Lane who died. Up the present, she lives in the flesh.
Clark wasn't the only person to get those memories; Bruce obtained many of Clark's memories relevant to Bruce's life. These archives files within those memory cells soars the flaming heart smouldering intensely; Bruce's anger. Clark knew all along about the people Bruce lost. One important person Bruce lost, and he forgot about it because someone messed with his mind.
"You had Zatanna cast that magic on me, did you, Clark?!", Bruce exclaimed angrily. "Had a powerful Anodite weaken me, then have Zatanna erase my memories, and make sure I have a peace of mind?".
Understanding the situation clearly, Clark knew this situation can't be diverted. He knows the truth. "Bruce... you were out of contr-", Clark was interrupted because he was blasted away by a blue beam. Clark's body smashed into a sofa.
"Inner peace worldly pixelized by Zatanna's magic", Bruce said. He telekinetically raises Clark's body. He swiftly compels Clark's body to return to his side closely. "The entire League knew I was insane! I almost killed the Joker because he robbed me of the most important person!".
"You nearly killed him", Superman said with a gagging sound stemmed from being chocked. "You would never be the same if the Joker died".
"You're right. It's all about absolute justice, not power or domination", Bruce said.
Clark fears Bruce won't let this go the easy way. Who can blame the guy who had his memories wiped off of tragedy, and just be brainwashed like a puppet?
Bruce felt a hand placed on his shoulder. He turns his head, looking at his own daughter, Wanda. It's just her essence but he observe her expression. He saw that look on her face. For the first time, he saw it in her eyes that she doesn't want him to do it. Not to let that anger out at Clark. Not now. Claire wouldn't want. He turns his serious look directing at Clark. "Just know we're not finished, Kent", Bruce said calmly. He finally eases down. He's going to experience a thunderstorm awakening the second he embraces the real world.
In the real world...
The operation is somehow failing, causing Towa and the Joker to back away.
"Shit", the Joker exclaimed. "Bat's head-on supernova".
Towa is extremely stunned upon staring Batman who is shaking as though inside his mind he is fighting the spell herself and the Joker cast. By sight, she spots the crimson emanation coming into breakdown. She turns her astonishing face expressionless as she rolls a glance at the Joker. "We've done all we could to put this through", Towa said. "Let us view the prospect from a long distance".
"You said it", Joker said, reluctantly agreeing with her, understanding that it's pointless to continue. They will shortly be overwhelmed by three Anodites and a Kryptonian.
Both Towa and Joker finally teleport away from this facility, leaving briefly fringes of their appearance prior to vanishing.
Seconds after they teleported, two break in the room. Once the smoke clears, they saw Batman and Superman seemingly waking up as the red aura around them shattered.
Batman and Superman finally rise up, looking around where they're in. Whether it's real or not, the last place they had been in before blacking out was outside. It's implied they were taken inside. During their inspection, they perceived two people rushing toward them.
"Redfield? Kenobi?", Batman exclaimed, at the same time easily shrugging off the dizziness. He glances on another person; Superman pulling through after being set in a deep sleep. He then gets out of bed. He is aware he isn't wearing his mask, which he threw back on. "How'd you find us? Clone Troopers aren't exactly persuasive regardless of any situation".
"We didn't interrogate them. We went over your Batcomputer, figured out the password, and discovered your secret provision's location", Chris explained.
"Some point you will have to explain why you setup this private facility in a constructed island", Obi-Wan said.
"That's a long talk for another time", Superman said, fully shrugging off the dizziness. "We have important matters to worry about".
Batman agreed with Superman; important matters such as making sure the mad clown gets what he deserves.
A/N: I'm not really done with Bruce's Fantasy World. It will be something to challenge Bruce's conscience.
The names 'Vaxasaurian', 'Appoplexians' and 'Splixson' are names of fictional species from the Ben 10 Franchise.
The name 'Chronoa' is a character originated from the Dragon Ball Franchise. Chronoa and Claire Redfield are the same person in this Universe. They're not really matched with the personalities of the original characters from Dragon Ball and Resident Evil, although I strongly believe this character in this story carries similar traits with the Resident Evil character Claire Redfield e.g. a caring individual.
