Elsewhere...

In the Javelin moving throughout the world to find Batman and Superman, Wonder Woman has had no decent luck of finding a trace of their whereabouts. Hours had passed scouting everywhere. No result. Saddens and frightens Diana since this outcome implies Batman and Superman may literally be deceased. "Wonder Woman to Watchtower, I am saddened to say that...", Wonder Woman desires to spurn herself from uttering that sentence. It couldn't be the end of the World's Finest, the end of her friends, the end of the greatest heroes in the world.

"Diana", J'onn calling from the Watchtower via comms.

Doesn't sound like J'onn is upset, neither sad. It feels like Diana doesn't need to address it, though that would be a bad thing. Everyone some point has to know about Bruce and Kal-El's current status.

"I've traced their comlinks", J'onn proclaimed.

"What?", Diana exclaimed. Her sinking heart suddenly stopped, having a second thought as Diana is pondering the chances. "Are they...?".

"They're in Manhattan, and yes they're alive", J'onn said. "You should hurry. Circe is there".

There's a great deal of questions Diana enquires from those two. After all, she's suspicious, the whole League, the whole world, would be suspicious of their disappearances. For now, there's a shimmering aspiration the world in Diana hasn't gone far down. She worked with those two for so many years. It's like each branch would be ripped off when they die. Right now, Diana needs to head to New York City. Last she heard, Circe had many male Leaguers turned into animals.

Manhattan, New York City

Circe has turned most of the Leagues into animals. But appears her time has come. She is overwhelmed by the combined forces of Chris Redfield, Obi-Wan Kebobi, Superman and Batman.

They all pushed her back.

Circe wondered why they hadn't turned the same way the male Leaguers had. She was certain of it. "You're not like them", she said, finding it shocking they are immune to her magic.

Obi-Wan threw with telekinesis by Mana at Circe, forcing her to fly away until she hit the road.

Jokerised Circe slowly got up, groaning. She shortly later came to perceive Superman about to throw a punch. She quickly created a shield, protecting herself from Superman's intense blow.

Though Circe's shield is up, nothing would stop Batman especially since he's not in the mood in playing JL games. He never was intent on playing things as well. He casts a spell, which caused his hand to glow in blue as Bruce causes Circe to immediately be stunned with waves of headaches swirling.

Circe could not endure it. She can feel her impulses weakly echoing her control. She feels like she's suffocating to no end. Circe then perceived her body emanated in blue. While in blazes of blue aura, someone is utilising her powers to do something Circe didn't want to do. She can't stop it. Her arms are forcibly lifted over her head. As soon as the headaches faded, Circe fell down.

"What did you do?", Superman asked, landing next to Batman's side.

"Forced her to reverse her magic to turn everyone back to normal", Batman said. He watches Kenobi and Redfield nearing Circe's side.

Clark as well saw the two checking on Circe. "She's not...", Superman asked before pausing, a little hesitant to say the word 'dead'.

"No", Batman replied.

Redfield, Kenobi, Superman and Batman distinguished a whirring Javelin arriving in Manhattan.

A Javelin parks in the road since no one is in here driving in vehicles.

Four watch as the ship's pilot exited the Javelin. They settled at ease quickly; it's Diana appearing.

"Where's Circe?", Wonder Woman said.

All four stepped aside, showing Diana that Circe has already been put to an end.

Comprehending Circe's defeated in unknown means, Wonder Woman grasped thoughts about Batman and Superman's vanishing. "You both were inactive for the past few days", Diana said, concerned.

"It's a long story", Superman said.

"Well", Wonder Woman said. "while you two were out of commission, the entire Justice League had to cope with jokerised supervillains and creatures on the whole planet. The people were infected too... even Lex Luthor".

"Luthor?", Superman exclaimed. Though he dislikes the man, didn't stop Superman from thinking why Luthor would be one of many on Joker's list.

"It's not a surprise. He'd rather take the whole world down with him", Batman proclaimed.

"I'm not following", Diana said.

"His last laugh; his legacy. The Joker is suffering from an unknown condition that will kill him", Batman explained.

Wonder Woman is surprised learning the Joker's death won't be by any being, instead it's a condition.

"I'll enlighten you all what the condition really is", Obi-Wan said, stepping forth into the Trinity spotlight.

Superman, Wonder Woman and Batman turned, and looked at Kenobi.

Obi-Wan explained what this condition is that could affect Anodites like the Joker, and the causes of it.

"What made the Joker have it?", Diana enquired.

"My guess is his many battles with Batman", Obi-Wan said, looking at Batman, along with everyone. "Anodites can injure each other so hard they could likely get head injuries".

Everyone is aware Batman has given Joker many savage beatings over the years.

Batman started walking away.

"Where are you heading to?", Wonder Woman asked.

"To settle the score with Joker", Batman said, preparing to create a portal. Before materializing it, Superman reached his side.

"The people, Bruce, they need our help", Superman said mildly.

"The Joker is my problem", Batman said.

"We'll cross that bridge when we get there", Superman said.

Looking up at the sky blindly, Batman could only see Joker's madness resonating throbbing pulses around the whole world. Makes the world's people tremble in fear. The people closest to him, very close, wouldn't want him to abandon the people and straight away go after the Joker. Because he can't remove the thought of people off his conscience, Bruce's dilemma is quickly sorted as he turns around, reluctantly deciding to deal with the Joker later.

White House, Washington, D.C.

With the clowns' madness overshadowing the whole planet, Pete Ross and Lex's cabinet meet to discuss the response to that situation in the Cabinet Room.

"S.T.A.R. Labs has answers, right?", Acting President Pete Ross asked.

"Partially. My apologies for that, and for not sparing time to create a computer presentation", the doctor said.

"Go on", Pete said.

The doctor explains what he could gather so far about how supervillains turned into versions of the Joker.

"You're suggesting magic has something to with transformations?", Pete asked.

"Hypothetically speaking, yes", the doctor said.

"A clown as a magician?", Pete Ross said, finding it absurd. Joker's never held back. He would use everything in his arsenal to create madness. "Whatever source or power he acquired, he's built an army of super-powered murderous clowns". He looks at the doctor. "Is there a way to reverse the transformation?".

"We've done all we can to find a cure. Unfortunately, S.T.A.R. Labs doesn't have the resources to cure jokerised victims", the doctor said.

"Nothing's by chance with the Joker. He's as brilliant as he is crazy. He set this up"

"For what reason?"

"What's he want?"

"What are his demands?"

Everyone in the Cabinet Room started discussing on the Joker's possible schemes, and considering taking action to end the Joker once and for all.

Somewhere on Earth...

In the Javelin, Diana kept Redfield, Superman, Kenobi and Batman up to speed regarding the Joker's reign of terror.

"He really is dead set on bringing the world down with him", Superman said.

Wonder Woman looks at Batman. "Never have you once mentioned you built a prison to store aliens", she said. "Why lock them in where you built an island with a built-in prison?".

Batman forwards his head. "Those imprisoned are provided special treatment", he addressed. "As you know already by your various missions across the world, the Universe doesn't exactly have a lot of good people living. Most are tormented by corruption, they change, they adapt, they never become the same".

"Gotham City", Chris remarked knowingly.

Mention of Gotham made Diana look at Batman. When Chris mentioned it, Diana pondered if the reason Bruce wanted all Leaguers out of his turf is because he didn't want anyone to get involved.

Diana states various League members had managed to finally put down the jokerised supervillains after Circe's magic no longer had the effect on them. She then went on to say "With them on their own missions, we're our own dealing with what appears to be outsiders from other worlds", Diana said, glancing Batman. "assuming they are your prisoners".

"What's our stop?", Superman enquired.

"North Carolina. There was an incident at Blue Ridge Parkway. A giant lizard, a humanoid elephant and a humanoid rhinoceros", Wonder Woman said.

Once everyone was informed, the Javelin straight away went full speed toward North Carolina.

Blue Ridge Parkway, North Carolina

The endless scenery where incredible views are depicted at the Blue Ridge mountains and the surrounding landscapes are now eclipsed by three dangerous beings, scaring motorcyclists and bicyclists away. They made the jump on dozens of people in separate cars who are screaming as these creatures frighten them with creepy faces, cackling.

Every creature's dominant fear was shattered by the arrival of a Javelin, which lands down. They sighted it with perceptive beams at that aircraft.

Shortly following the Javelin's landing, the Leaguers alongside Redfield and Kenobi emerged.

Superman charged directly at an elephant-like being with two legs, punching that alien so it wouldn't harm the people.

Once the driver saw that monster off their car, he drove the vehicle away from the battle, taking her kids away from harm's way.

Punching as many times hard on elephant, Superman throws one more punch to send the thing flying away only to see that alien firmly grasp his fist. He then felt anguish spiralling his abdomen. This elephant-like creature just threw one hit, and it's laughing, much to Superman's shock.

The alien pressed two big hands over Superman's head as he forcibly lowers his head where the humanoid mammoth kneed his face.

Receiving it, Superman stumbled away. He quickly shook the feeling, turning back to the fight, just to see that grey-skinned brawn punch him. That punch threw Superman smashed into rocks.

A big lizard pins Batman down the ground.

Grunting, Batman struggles to free himself from that thing. Its physical strength overwhelms Bruce's physical human-strength. While the creature attempts to eat his head, Bruce searches for a smoke bomb. Finding it, and taking out, Bruce slams them at lizard's eyes. The explosion of spreading gas causes the big lizard to leap away.

Moving away, the lizard cackles at Batman.

Arising on foot, Batman locks eyes with the creature while going into a steady stance.

The lizard sniggers.

Bruce's breastbone's desperately searching a way to grip itself under. His hands readily close to his Utility Belt. His breathing is normal. He's focused. A move, Batman would straight away counterattack.

The lizard darts forward. As he closely reaches the Dark Knight, he suddenly averts. Being harmed from left side, the lizard is gusted away from the Dark Knight. It rolled away.

Batman saw it was Redfield who prevented the creature from harming him. He rotates sight to the creature. That reptile-looking creature is down. He swiftly takes a grappling hook up, firing a hook toward the creature. Once it hits its skin, the creature starts to get electrocuted extremely. The harm slowly faded as the big lizard lays down in silence.

Redfield and Batman exchanged glances, hovering the sphere of bitterness dazzling between them, aware of their past. The contained-private sphere was easily interrupted when they heard Diana's grunts as she battles a rhino.

Wonder Woman tries to push the humanoid rhino, it narrowly resulted that creature to slow down. Diana grasps his horn, trying to drag it down with her.

Noticing his horn firmly grasped, the rhinoceros pulls his body to upright position. He shakes his body, trying to loosen Diana's grasp on his horn. The Amazon is swinging around, soon that lady will lose grip.

Diana finally loses the clutch, pitching away from the humanoid rhino.

The creature afterwards bulldozed Diana to the railing. He thrusts harder on Diana, making the Diana follow on the verge of breaking through the railing as the present views Diana leaned on that fence, making the fence have a slight hollow.

Obi-Wan rolled across the air, landing on the back. He draws his blue blade, subsequent to cutting off the creature's horn.

Noticed, the humanoid rhinoceros redirects his charging aim away from from Diana, changing to Obi-Wan. It sniggered while it speedily ran toward Obi-Wan.

He saw that bulldozer about to crash him. Obi-Wan manipulates gravity under the envelopment of blue energy, wrapping all over the rhino. He threw that creature over him, forcing it to plummet with his head nosediving on the ground.

Both Obi-Wan and Diana felt a brief tremor with that heavy rhino making a crater. They reached that crater, watching, and acknowledging, this creature finally at a loss; he is bound by Mana.

The Amazon sighted Batman and Redfield reaching her and Obi-Wan. But Superman ain't around. "Where is Superman?", Wonder Woman questions, remembering he was here when he fought that third creature, an elephant-like alien with two legs to walk like human beings.

Abruptly, everybody underwent an earthquake. They nevertheless remained standing. The earthquake has given a portion of understanding of the fight between Superman and that escaped prisoner.

A mile away from where his friends were seen fighting those creatures, Superman's had some struggles against the elephant. He's always kept himself suppressed. He's always considered everything to be made of cardboards, so easy to rip apart, like that elephant. Fortunately for the elephant, Superman decides to prolong the fight, seeking a way to put him down.

They trade blows, catching each other's punches, and returning similar capacity of blows. All until the elephant pounded Superman, causing him to crash at a tree.

Superman tilted up, getting to distinguish that elephant rushing over to his end.

The humanoid elephant flings his fist at him. "You're going down!", he said confidently, whilst laughing loudly.

They never stopped saying it, Superman thought, having related these things before with other beings that underestimated the Man of Steel. He firmly catches that fist prior to punching that elephant's head. He subsequently grabbed the alien's trunk, not letting it fly away. Dragging the trunk around, Superman spins in a whirling motion, coercing the alien to be pulled around. Ending that spin, Superman threw the elephant alien out to the sky, aware of where that alien will alight.

Everybody: Kenobi, Wonder Woman, Batman and Redfield saw the elephant is on the verge of crashing where they reside. It appears they've discovered who the winner is, even though they had strong thoughts who might've won that fight.

As the alien smashed into the road surface, everyone surrounded him in the crater, including Superman, which took under five seconds for him to appear.

Away from North Carolina...

Everyone is on board in the Javelin. Following the defeat of three escaped prisoners, now taken away by Supergirl, the people in the Javelin travel to United States. They thought the situation can be resolved under a weak, things got a lot more complicated than they bit on.

"United States is declaring war with the Joker?", Diana exclaimed.

"They've mobilised their military forces worldwide", J'onn addressed, speaking from the Watchtower.

"It's understandable considering the circumstances. It's national emergency", said Superman, he glances Batman. "They won't hesitate to use deadly force. A 'Shoot To Kill' policy in effect".

"Then I'll make sure I beat them to it", Batman said.

Tendrils are spiking on Superman's nervous system. Is it implying Batman might actually do it? He looks at him with a worried look. "Bruce...", Superman said gently. "You're not thinking about having revenge, are you?".

The question raised everyone's attention; staring Batman.

Batman had not answered Superman's question, though that inquiry cycles from end to end dilemma; kill or do not kill. Nobody will stop him. "A Mechamorph, and a Tetramand", Batman mentioned. "Put together, they're formidable. It will cause more damage if you fight it with brute force".

"I know you fought these things before. After all they're your prisoners", Superman said. He was a little more worried since Batman hasn't answered his question. Doesn't seem like Bruce wants to answer it.

Batman looks at the footage, seeing that four-armed figure wearing a gel-like organic skin around its body. "Since the four-arms alien has merged with a Mechamorph, the Tetramand has all the Mechamorph's weaknesses", Batman said. "Use the electromagnetic pulses. It'll shock them, leaving them both down".

"Lecturing us a bit too early, Bruce", Obi-Wan said.

Bruce stood up. "Not joining with them. There's a great deal of aliens escaped from my centre. Clone Troopers have been scattering the globe, narrowly searching down each alien by the tracers injected into their bodies. Best we split. Saves time, allows us to finish quickly before extra-terrestrials are seized by the US", Batman said.

Wonder Woman and Superman exchanged glances, thinking about it. Would they rather have the US confiscate powerful aliens to be used as a deadly force against them that could possibly devastate the planet, or they go with ensuring they are discreetly neutralised, and put away in wherever Batman sends them in?

Somewhere where the Tetramand and the Mechamorph are invading...

Superman and Wonder arrived via the Javelin. As they emerge, they are surprised by a beam, which they avoided.

"How do you get a thing like that to be affected by an EMP?", Superman said as though his own mouth said it, and his ears are idly taking account of every word he said.

Right after Superman said the question, Wonder Woman and Superman heard sounds of loud cracks resonating from the skies. They looked up. Looking up was what answered Superman's question. A well of clouds descending raging thunderbolts.

"There's your answer", Wonder Woman said.

They now know what they'll use to advantageously put down the Mechamorph and the Tetramand.

The four-armed figure continues to terrorise the city, tossing trucks and cars across the street. It's mindless pond had no focus on what dwells the skies, because it hasn't seen it. Time would shortly pass until he perceives two flyers landed.

Kryptonian and Amazon noticed the Mechamoprh-merged Tetramand stares upon them.

"We've got his attention", Wonder Woman addressed. She subsequently flies directly at the four-armed figure.

The alien has an eye-fixed aim at the Amazon.

Diana draws her lasso out, attempting to wrap the golden rope all over the alien. She hadn't met her expectations; that thing firmly caught its lasso, much to Diana's surprise. She feels herself instantly dragged into alien's direction till she was then pinned on ground by its enormous hand. As Diana attempted to push that big hand from the four-armed alien out, she experiences electric shocks; experiencing a violent prickling sensation.

The alien continued to give an electric shock on Diana until Superman punched him away, forcing his hand out of Diana.

"Diana", Superman said in concern.

"I'm okay", Diana assures him.

They both looked fixedly at the being who emerged from a hole in a truck. Nobody said it would be easy. Majority of the faced problems are difficult.

Norway

Via teleportation, Batman, Redfield and Kenobi have arrived to what's unbeknownst to them a trap set for incomers to darkness.

"Polar night", Obi-Wan said. "Where there's less light...".

"Is one way to level the playing field", Batman said, smart enough to know the benefit this place will give to who they face. He tilts up, looking at a myriad of people led one person. "for them".

Chris and Obi-Wan know what Bruce was alluding to. The air hisses and sniggers as the presence away from them grows stronger; they sense an alien above the people of this town. They people are unwilled, with strings pulled there and that by the creature.

Batman draws a weapon out, firing a flare in the sky.

Subsequently, they saw that creature stumbling away as the flare's exposure was close to him. Since the creature was harmed, the laughing crowd began racing toward Redfield, Kenobi and Batman.

"Hold them off without hurting them", Batman said to Obi-Wan.

Redfield and Batman take off with their respective ways to get past an army of clowns.

"Easy for you to say", Obi-Wan said. "Just because they have implicated out of will, doesn't mean it makes it easier for me to put them down". Noting the army nearly reaching him, the Anodite started running away, intentionally providing time for his friends to take down that thing. If these people aren't innocent, Obi-Wan could've suppressed them by force.

While Obi-Wan is racing away from the crowd, Batman and Redfield begin to reach closer to the escaped prisoner. They have perceived his recovery since the flare's fade.

The creature flies to their way.

Batman flings a batarang at that vampire-like alien, only to miss due to the creature avoiding it. He shortly realises it was charging at him.

The creature gashes Batman, forcing the Knight to fall away.

Aware of his falling, Batman shoots a grappling hook to a rooftop. His body gets pulled upward. Rising, and keeping a locked aim at the vampire who is fighting Chris Redfield, Batman projects batarangs.

Redfield kicks the bloodsucker back. Boosting his punch by Mana, Chris fists the vampire several steps away. He then landed a few hits on the bluish-white-skinned figure's frontside. Afterwards, Redfield slammed with one powered hand, shoving the vampire farther away.

Laughing again and again, the vampire was about to advance its sharp teeth to attempt penetrating Redfield's skin. He was coerced to terminate the idea as he backs away from batarangs. He glaced at where the batarangs were shot from, sighting Batman onto a rooftop. He laughed much more louder.

Bruce descried he missed, but unbeknownst to the vampire, Bruce wasn't thinking about batarangs jabbing his skin.

Jokerised vampire starts to ascend to Batman's direction. Before he could, he is burning, much to the creature's shock as though fire or light from somewhere has crawled around his body. They did something to him. Nonetheless, he cackles as if he's bearing the pain. But he isn't. He's skin gags with the burning sensation. The creature twitched its head, realising it was Redfield generating pure sun on him. That was his last sight before quickly fainting.

"Vladat", Redfield said, which is the name of the specie he fought just now.

Elsewhere...

They've drowned deeper into the fight with the enhanced Tetramand. Yet Superman and Wonder Woman are having no luck dragging that four-armed freak up to the skies. Mostly because dwellers in the city are forcing Superman and Wonder Woman to turn away from finishing their job, thus not being able to send the alien up to the sky.

Superman helped a few bystanders up, subsequently getting them to safety.

Wonder Woman tries to hit the Tetramand. This firm grip from that popped-out tentacle wrapped around her wrist, forcing her to withdraw harming him. Amazon presses her fist downer, trying to touch hard his face. Despite making go of it, the Amazon is far from reaching him by fist. She later experiences electric shocks.

The Tetramand threw Diana's body away.

Though fallen away, Diana's body was ultimately resting on Superman's hands since the latter's appearance. He puts Diana down. Kal-El looked at the alien. He unleashed heat vision, blasting the Tetramand to pitch away. Superman went straight at the two-alien merged figure again.

Four arms thrown all over Superman.

Superman avoids getting hit before swiftly pulling his enemy around in circles.

With the Mechamorph's ability, the Tetramand sends surges of electricity.

Kal felt the sting but he bears it, carrying on spinning the alien around. Several seconds passing, coming to a certain point in period, Superman throws the Mechamorph-merged Tetramand to the sky.

The Mechamorph-merged Tetramand tried to glide away with shape-formed jetback. He found it too late the moment the giant spark crashes down, causing his entire body to immediately shut down as it is electrocuted. It shook extremely.

Wonder Woman recovered, watching alongside Superman as two aliens that are separated from one mixed body crash into a crater.

Once Superman and Wonder Woman examined the crater, they conclude the Mechamorph and the Tedramand are defeated.

Somewhere in Gotham City...

Joker reflects on the chance he almost had of creating the deadliest weapon in the Universe. "Usually in every bad day of the Bat, it's me forming new materials to break that no-good keister. Each and every time, he's always found a way to thwart me. Perhaps that band of do-gooder or his friends from high grounds. High grounds, my ass", he said. He senses his army starting to decrease. Bat and his allies are taking down more and more jokerised escapees from Batman's centre.

"Not all has failed", Towa assured the Joker, walking to his side. "Company is bound to arrive. It is fate for you both to have this final battle. He won't turn away from it".

"Of course, he won't. He could never miss a gala day", Joker said, agreeing with Towa as he laughs loudly.

Above the Earth...

Watchtower

Wonder Woman and Superman returned to the Watchtower with Flash, Green Lantern and Shayera Hol, as well as Chris Redfield and Obi Wan Kenobi.

J'onn comes at their point.

Fighting a great deal of prisoners so powerful they could toe-to-toe with the likes of Superman and Wonder Woman concerns the Leaguers.

"Good work", Superman said mildly.

Obi-Wan showed no hints of annoyance when he was the one running away from a horde of mind-controlled human beings in Norway.

"With all the prisoners from Batman's facility now in temporary custody in the Watchtower, the one question is where should they be transferred?", Superman said.

Exchanging glances, everyone knows they need to be transferred off-world. They know idea was Batman pulling out but viewing this as a global danger should've made him perceive his errors.

Whilst thinking the prisoners' transfers to remote locations away from Earth, Shayera noticed not every Founding Member is present. "Hey...", she exclaimed in astonishment. "where's Batman?

Ensuing by the name of Batman brought everybody to ponder where Batman is. They've sunk to deeper thoughts about the safety of the people they didn't come to register Batman is distinguishably absent.

Sighed, Superman might've figured out already Batman's current whereabouts. "I'll give you one good guess", Superman said, not contempt on his guess. "And it's not good". His heart pounds hard, showing strong signs of fear. "I think Batman is hellbent on taking revenge against the Joker". He sees over everyone in here. "I think he's going to kill the Joker".

A/N: Some of the aliens Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Chris Redfield and Obi-Wan face are characters from the Ben 10 Franchise.
